Hi Girls,
Havent been on BB for about a week and I have missed out on so much. Havent had a chance to read everything but once I get a spare minute I will read up!!!
HJ - Good luck, hopefully someone who came for an inspection today loves your house and will buy it.
Kim - Glad Meara is doing well. Haven't weighed Lara since her 2month needles and she was 5.1kg then (she is a bit of a chubby bubby). Its amazing how they were born on the same day and Lara was so much lighter and now she is little miss chubby. Wow on maybe number 6 (if DF can talk you around lol).
I finally got to go for lunch with friends today. DH had the kids and I was enjoying myself until I started feeling sick. I've been to the toilet a few times (sorry TMI) but one of my friends has as well and we both ate pasta for lunch. Must've been the food & its pretty bad that both of us have been sick.
Oh guess what, DH went out for one of his mates b'day last night. I was home by myself with the 2 kids. It was 10:30pm and I found a snake in our house. I am absolutely petrified of snakes. I tried ringing DH who was 30mins away and his mobile had no service so I rang the place where he was at and he came home. It was the longest 30mins of my life. I was trying to keep an eye on it so I knew where it would be when he got home. I quickly went and got changed coz one of his mates was coming with him and I lost it. Lucky they found it curled up behind the hot water system in the laundry. I am so paranoid about snakes now. We've had 5 since we've lived here but none inside before. It slid under our screen door.
Gotta go and get dinner ready.

HJ - fingers crossed for u!!!!! as for the move... still saving. We are managing to put about $100 away a week atm so it will still be sometime this year. one thing i do know... IM NEVER spending another summer in Victoria!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! grrrrrrrr!!!!!!
KimB - My mum had 3 under 3 and i asked her how she did it and she said "i didnt think about the ages, they are my babies and they only had me to rely on, so i had to do what i had to do!" I was the youngest of that 3 and honestly now... i wouldnt have it any other way... my brothers are great and we are really close now. It was abit hard growing up, losta argueing and stuff but u do get over that. I think allllllllll brothers and sisters fight at some stage.
Liegh - ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i wudda crapped my pants for sure! glad its gone now!
Mia is good.. rollling heaps, playing with toys, and she now stands when she is holding onto something! Heat is getting to her tho, poor little poppet. Her bottle this morning she drank the whole 200 mls!!!!!! and only spewed twice! yay!!!!!!!

HELP I have 2 sick little girls atm. Both have summer colds and are really ill. Poor Meara has the worst sounding cough. Kaylee I think may be getting an eye infection. grrrrr winter I can understand but summer pffffft. Hopefully they get over it soon as Meara is having trouble breathing through her nose. Using Fess for littlies and it works for a while.

Kim, I am in the same boat, both Lara and DD1 have colds. Hope they all get better soon. If anyone has any suggestions on what we can do that would be great.

humidifiers/vaporsiers work a treat girls! u get them from the chemist. Elevate the top of where they are sleeping. Keep them fluids up, eeven if it means chucking in a couple extra feeds. You can use Baby Vicks now (over 3 months) and that also works a treat HTH

Thanks Hollye, might grab a vapouriser tomorrow. I've been looking at getting one for a while coz we can all use it when we get sick.

Thanks Hollye, I have forgotten about all this lol. Will try the vicks and if I need to will get the vapouriser. The only prob is both DD's sleep in our room so we will be breathing it in too lol oh well here comes clean sinuses.

You can also buy I product called Euky bear rub, It's simular to vicks baby and works wonders. I was told to put vicks on your feet if you've got a really bad cold, haven't tried it but my friend swears by it! Hope your girls are better soon, it's so horrible when they're sick no matter what the weathers like!

I hear you on the laughing front, it's so hard to tell them off when they're like that wait till she gets older. So many times I've had to restrain myself but sometimes you just can't help but laugh too!

Snoo - I have to agree with your friend, I put baby vicks on my kids feet and put socks over it too as well as on their chest and back when they are sick with the flu and it really does work wonders. You should try it next time.
I hope all you ladies with sick bubbas and kids, I hope they all get better quickly. Sending lots of get well vibes your way. hugs
Well today I have my Appt with the Physician to see why I am ANA positive, so it is going to be interesting to see what they come up with. Not sure on how long it is going to take to get any results back tho. Still cant believe 3mths has been and gone already. hugs

How is everyone doing getting back to pre baby weight? I know Jorda is now 4 months 2 teeth and rolling over!! Crazy i know!
But i am trying to get back to pre baby weight or more like back to a weight i am comfortable with..
is anyone else concerned?

As for B - had her weighed this morning and she is 6.2kgs!!!!

I just lost a huge post which was the icing on the cake for an already crap day but I will get to that later.
Didi - I have just started back on weight watchers as I lost 15kgs doing that before and kept it off for 2yrs up until having Olive. I put on 25kgs during my pregnancy despite exercising daily and eating healthily but I also think giving up smoking contributed to that. I lost 15kgs in the first week after getting home from the hospital as I also carried alot of fluid so I want to lose about 5-10kgs to get back to my healthy pre baby body. It's only really just started to bother me though.
In regards to the HPT I am relieved as I don't think we are ready for another baby just yet. We want to try after xmas but in saying that we definatly would have embraced it had it been positive.
hj - have you bought the other house? Sounds promising that someone will buy your place soon. Was it you who was having trouble with B not liking baths? Olive is going through that ATM and she is also really frightened by loud noises.
Hollye - glad to here that Mia is having good weight gains. The medication is obviouly working and the 2 of you must be so much happier.
Hi to everyone else.
Now for my vent sorry ladies but here goes.
Had a terrible nights sleep then got ready to go to ABA meeting, got to the venue only to find out that it isn't till next week.
My nipples are really sore and it feels like I have got staph or thrush again. I'm also spending about 6hrs a day expressing ATM so haven't been able to get much housework done.
We had to get Olive's next urine sample today so am stressing about the results of that.
She hasn't done a poo for 2 weeks so is getting pretty annoyed about that.
Then DH gets home and seems really cranky and it turns out that his work are changing his hours so he won't be able to look after Olive when I go back to work in April meaning that we will have to use FDC 3 afternoons a week. They are also changing his role so they can pay him alot less and keep him casual even though he works like 50+hrs a week and just got his truck licence cause they asked him to in the hope they would give him FT work.
One gorgeous thing that did happen is that my mum was holding Olive and when she saw me she smiled, put her arms out and leaned towards me. Awww even after a horrible day being a mum is the best!!!

OM - I'm sorry to hear about hubbys work. How scumbaggy can you get. About Olive not pooping try prune juice. A couple of mls a couple times a day works wonders. For your bbs I bought some Rite Aid breast pads and in the box it contained some hydrogel discs. These are for sore, cracked nipples and areola (sp ) and you can even put them in the fridge before using them for extra coolness. I used them once and they made my nipples feel soooo much better. I'm glad Olive can make you feel better with a smile. It really warms the heart.
didi - I too am having trouble losing weight but this is after 5 kids lol so I have to expect it. I have started doing exercises in our pool every day and have lost some weight but am going to have to lose heaps more before we get married.
Oh god am I having a stressful day. Both youngest DD's are sick and it looks like the others are coming down with it too. DF is stressed and swearing his head off at the kids. Money is tight and we have to do so much this month on top of birthdays and rego's. I need to win lotto lol.
Have to go and have a shower with Mimi (as Kaylee calls her) as DF won't do it. Night all

Hollye and KimB - I already give Olive water and have since birth even though they say BF babies don't need it (not that I tell the ABA meetings that). My doctor says it's fine for BF babies to go 3wks without pooing but something is definatly annoying her lately. Will try boiling some prunes though and adding a little to her water, thanks ladies. She gets weighed tomorrow which will be interesting as they say that when they don't poo they are absorbing all the BM.

OM - I just use sunraysia prune juice and give it to her straight. It doesn't hurt them and it is effective lol. I also give Meara water and have since she came out of hospital. The CHN was horrified but the sister at the chemist said she recommends it. I have done it for all my kids and they are all fine. You could also try brown sugar in the water, that is supposed to work too.

OM - If the water isnt working u could always try Coloxyl drops u get from the chemist - they work a treat!
And Yep its me that is having trouble with Bianca not liking her baths anymore! we now shower with her and she loves that, have also put her in the big bath and she was fine with that - maybe she had grown out of her little bath and didnt like it anymore! am going to try her in the big bath again and see how she goes, as having her shower with one of us is not always good, cause she gets bathed etc much earlier than us, and usually we like to go for a walk after dinner, so having showered and being in PJ's is not good come that time!!!
and yep we have brought the other house, but its still condition to us selling ours!

Hollye - it sounds like Mia is doing soooo well - she is soon going to be walking - i think she will skip crawling!

didi - i have lost all my baby weight and some - lost 9kgs in first week i only put on 5.6kgs - however still want to loose more but its just not happening - my jelly belly is getting me a bit down lately - im trying to do tummy crunches but for some reason they hurt in my pelvic area?!

On our house front we had a phone call from the realestate at 2115 last night!!! (we were in bed) someone had put an offer on our house, so the realestate guy came over with their offer of 40K less than our asking price!!!! why did he even bother us at that time of night for that offer? of course we said nope, and put in a counter offer, will find out sometime today what the go is!

OM - hope olive has pooed! Mia doesnt have a problem pooing anymore. Im garenteed about 2-3 poo's a day.
HJ - Mia is trying to crawl atm. She can get her knees up but tries and pushes off on her feet and doesnt go anywhere so she gets frustrated and rolls onto her back. LOL. 40k less?? pfft to that! 4ok more is more like it. yeh i cant wait to move to brissy either.. :)
KimB - hope Meara is feeling better!
didi - pre baby weight? wouldnt know, havent weighed myself. I know i put on a good 25-30 kilos tho.. and i need to lose much more than whhat i was pre pregnancy. thinking of joining something to help me, like weight watchers or something? 2 teeth? wow thats cool! Mia's still wont cut.. they are just sitting there.. tho everyday they are a little closer to the surface.
All good here. Matts got tomorrow, thursday, friday and monday of work! yay!!!!!! Mia's christening is on sunday! it will be nice to have him home for a few days. Mia has another photo shoot tomorrow so fingers crossed shes all smiles.
Still waiting to here from physio about her head tilt.. quite worried about it actually.
Oh my.. Mia so needs a haircut!
