hey girlies.
1stbub - hugs sweety xoxox I know its hard but take some deep breaths and remember we are all here for u and will help u through this sleep issue as much as we can. Another good boook that ladies from my mothers group used is "Save our sleep". Mayb just google around and see what u can find. Prob worth chucking a thread on here too in the sleeping section and seeing what everyone elses advice is. Personally we go by the 20 min rule here (advice from Mel). If we spend 20 mins trying to get her to sleep and shes not, we get her up and keep her awake for 20 mins then so on so forth. The second time she goes down shes asleep within 30 seconds :)
didi - come see me ;) ill do ur hair! lol what are u thinking about doing to it??? i dont even know what it looks like now.. take a pic and i can throw some ideas ur way.
OM - she has a tooth doesnt she???????? sounds like some more teethies are on their way through!!!
So yesterday at the RCH - they say the top valve in her stomach isnt closing, hence nothing staying down . Option 1 - surgery to do it manually.... NO Option 2 - give her a medication to help the lower valve empty her stomach quicker...did sound good until "oh but it has some creepy side effects such as her eyes might roll into the back of her head"... uh NO Option 3.. Just keep going as we are going, the valve will grow and slowly close as she grows. Sometimes is takes to 6 months n sometimes 2 years.... yep thats a good option!!
So here we are.. same girl, same vommit... but there was no way they were doing them things to her. And hay 2 years of it... really is nothing when i have another 50+ years with her.
-
Hollye - glad Mia doesn't need surgery, that would be scary.
Olive has 2 teeth and a top one on the way however she has never reacted before and health professionals say that temps etc usually aren't related. The doctor also looked at her top tooth and said that while it's close it isn't red yet, meaning the symptoms shouldn't be worrying her yet. I thought she was on the mend but has had more diarohhea this morning and is still not feeding and is generally grizzly and won't let me leave her side. I'm not sure if or when I should take her back to the doctors, she has drank 1500mls of fluid in 3 days.
Didi - congrats on the weightloss and new jeans! I love daylight savings and hate when it goes back. I don't finish work until 6 so it means I get home in the dark.
Happy b'day for saturday!!! Sounds like it will be lovely.

Hello - im still internet less and its driving me nuts! should have it all hooked up next week!
sounds like i am missing alot!
Hollye - wow u have been going thru a bit with little Mia havent u! good thing she dosent have to have surgery!
1stbub27 - i know how u feel - we have been going thru that also! but now B is starting to settle again and is only waking once a night but on a bad night she wakes twice! it will get better! These bubs like to keep us on our toes!
Amanda - still have heard about ur visit with leslie!!!
OM - a 3rd tooth is on the way??? oh my golly gosh! B still hasnt cut her first one!
Well Bianca is we and truely getting around now days which is great but sooo full on - we got her a walker the other day and she zooms around all over the place in it!
Im also a bit worried tho that Bianca's silent reflux is comming back as she screams everytime she has a bottle and will only drink about 50mls each time and has about 3bottles a day - so im a bit worried - could it be teething?
I put gaviscon in her bottle last night and that seemed to help!
Anyways i gotta go
Hello to everyone and sorry for the lack of personals!

Hi Girls,
Hollye - I'm glad Mia doesnt need the operation too, Lara is still vomiting all the time too.
HJ - Good to hear from you. Wow B zooming around in her walker. I haven't tried Lara in her walker. She isn't crawling yet and still no teeth either. Hopefully the silent reflux isnt making a come back!!!
Didi - Happy B'day for Saturday, have a great day. What you have planned sounds great.
OM - Poor Olive, hope she gets better soon.
1stBub - Grrrr, can't believe you sister inlaw said that. I would've been so annoyed if I were you too. Glad you got to see your nephew.
Amanda - Hope Julian's teeth problems settle soon and you and him start getting some proper sleep! Love the avvy by the way!
Nothing much to report on me, its wet up here and looks like we'll have a wet easter. DH is working all weekend so we arent doing anything special.

hey girlies :) more pics of Mia in gallery.. feeding her face
-
Wow a lot's happened on here today.
Hollye - must be good to have a reason behind the chucking. You're right, 2 years isn't long, especially when the alternatives aren't very nice. I like your suggestions for sleep, they sound very practical and sound. I'll have a look round for the books, though things are ridiculously tight given the big motor repair (oh, turns out the motor is actually blown so = $4500 to fix now. :( ). OM, your suggestions for contacting the professionals is a good idea too.
Didi - you've had NOTHING naughty since Jan 15??? WELL DONE!! You definitely deserve your weight loss. Savour your night on Saturday - bet you'll be looking hot in your new skinny jeans. ;)
HJ - good to hear from you!! Bet the new house is very fun and exciting. I didn't think loss of appetite was part of teething so sounds like it could be the reflux returning. JMO of course.
Leigh - sorry about the wet quiet Easter. Ours will be quiet too, though we might do something with the family. Oh wait, I think my parents will be up by then! They're riding up from Melbs on their motorbikes. Last time they did that they crashed and mum badly hurt her wrist. I'm sure they'll be fine but it makes me a little nervous, especially in the Easter traffic. Will be great to see them though. (less work than some relatives.... ;) ).
Well, I'm going to be a consultant for Baby Beehinds cloth nappies!!! Just getting all the paper work sorted out and have to order my kit. Will look at doing a BB special once I'm all up and running. I'm very excited! LOVE my Baby Beehinds, and am looking forward to the chance to throw myself into something aside from 'just' mummyhood. Hope everyone has a good night. (myself included. :) )

Thank you guys so much!! Its nice to feel good again! 2 kids later.
Going to a lovely restaurant on sat night with hubby while kids are being minded.
Jorda has a lump on her back/neck and she had a US yesterday and they said it doesnt look good.. So now the stress of getting a MRI done... so knocking her out.. I am going to take this one step at a time.... but.. so concerned.
Happy Easter everyone! I am going to eat a WHOLE EGG.. or Rabbit or something.. Lindt choc... not cadbury i need the good stuff!!

Happy Easter Everyone!
Leigh - bugga that DH is working all weekend - but raining is good! i love the rain
Hollye - wow i loved those pics of Mia eating the pasta - i havent tried B on pasta and or meat yet - im still making her vegies - she has had potato, pumpkin, carrot, and brocolli and loves it all - can i start her on meat now???
1stBub - i have read somewhere along the line that when teething they can be put of their food - but ??? who knows! Woohoo on being a baby beehinds consultant!!!
Had B weighed etc yesterday and she is now 7.7kgs and is 68/69cm long - almost of the scale for length! i think we might be in a bit of trouble here with a tall, pretty blonde!!! many sleepless nights ahead of us i think - might have to buy a shot gun! hehehe
-
Didi - u deserve to treat urself!!!!
-
Thank you all very very much!.. Makes me smile... did loose 2.4kg this week at ww!!
-
HJ - ofcourse she can have meat. Mia has tried, tuna, lamb and mince so far and loves it. Mia is 7.6 kg and 64cm long. :) shes getting there
-
hj.. i personally wouldnt be feeding my 5-6 month old meat or pasta.
I stick to fruit and veg right now and cereal, as babies bodies are not ready to break down proteins at that age.
My pead says..
Meat is a good source of protein, but at this stage most babies get protein from their milk. The main benefit of introducing meat is for the extra iron that it provides. This is because babies' stores of iron may begin to deplete between 7-9 months of age. Iron is an essential part of the blood stream, carrying oxygen to tissues to provide the energy needed for growth.
