yes, but it is a steroid cream so only little bit infrequently - hydrazole is for fungal type rashes :) it stings like the buggery though on open/broken skin so I wouldnt use it if blisters etc

both my older bubs had HORRIBLE blistery NR and when the blisters burst and they were 'open' blisters hydrazole was used (and nope it wasn't fungal rashes that i used it on) it was teething rash, my paed told me to use it..it cleared up the rash nearly over night, never had any probs with it stinging my bubs bottoms :)
i understand, flip side of coin - it stung giselle terribly, so I wouldn't use it on open skin even on myself. Just giving Tanya both experiences so she can decide what might suit Maya better.
just get MOO GOO!!!!!!! lol
Lol I'm on the moo goo. It's interesting, seems to be working pretty well for us.
Well I went to the movies for the first time since X was born! A GF decided to organise a bit of a girls night. So that was fun. Then came home to a bombhit house but a settled boy... so i guess that's ok on balance! We saw "He's just not that into you"... so nice mindless girlie fun.
Cathie - great to hear from you and to hear the twins are going well!
Amy - oh hun  I really hope Bethany is feeling better soon, and sooo frustrating re DH.
I posted the other day but it totally disappeared into the ether. X definitely is having some teething "patches' where he's just sooooo miserable & grizzly. Most unlike him. his "gramps" (aka "grumpy") tried to cheer him up the other day and X was not impressed and just WAILED! Poor little fella. Otherwise all good. Bought my next boxes of nappies.. in TODDLER! **** that was a bit freaky!
Belfie: Your house isn't built on a uranium dump, is it? That boy of yours is growing up so fast, Godzilla style!!
Cathie: I can't imagine trying to entertain 2 babies, I've been feeling like Jude is bored lately, no matter how hard I try to entertain him.
Amy: I'm sure Bethany will drink better when she is feeling better. You're doing a great job. Sorry about the husband, my husband always seems to be on the toilet whenever Jude is having a hissy fit. What's that all about?
Tanya: You're lucky, you clearly have a good mothers group. My group were not interested at all in changing days.
<edit>I've been trying to get online to delete this stuff all day, I don't want bad words getting back to anyone.
On a plus side, Jude's getting pretty good at sitting on his own. Of course I'm not about to leave him, I'm always right there to support him when he leans a bit too far, but I'm impressed with the strength in that tiny little body of his. He's also making the cutest sounds, I can believe how cute he is.
Kuraiza~
woo hoo on Jude sitting!!! Jack can sit BUT flops forward a fair bit...
I remember with my first (nearly 10 yrs ago!!) Ashlee was sitting up unaided by herself at 3 months of age...i remember this clearly..because i had said before this that when she could sit by herself properly i would get her ears pierced..which i did end up doing....
Belfie~
i know your feeling about buying BIGGER!!! Jack is in size 0 clothes and i look at them thinking OMG where has my baby gone??
amy_o ~ how is Bethany doing now? i hope she is on the mend, poor little chicken!!
kuraiza - maybe call Playgroups Aust and see if there are some playgroups near you? Then you can pick which one suits you the best timewise - whilst Jude is little too you can get to know some of the other mothers before you have to supervise his every move when he starts to crawl etc ;)
girls - i too am surprised Zander can sit by himself unaided for about a whole 20 seconds - impressed cos I dont get alot of floor time/play that i did with the other two - yay Zander :)
I am having a weird day - or rather Zander is .... he is sleeping heaps ....
5.45 feed - back to bed 6am
8.30 up - child care walk, walk to shops and home
10am sleep until 12.30 (!)
2pm back in cot asleep
4pm still asleep now .....
No school run as today if before/after school day so i keep spot for when i go back to work.
I have done the washing, dishes, cooking for dinner, organised some drawers in kids rooms, watched brothers & sisters from last night and am all BB'd and FB'd out. What is going on .....
belfie - mindless - well I am going to see Confessions of a Shopaholic on Saturday - snap!
Kat~~ The little chicken has had a pretty good day, I can see an improvement. Our MCHN came over and I had a big cry and talked about the whole ordeal. Then she looked Bethany over, she has lost weight (dah..) bout 800gms but she'll catch up. She is still feeding funny, on and off but the MCHN thinks that will improve as she feels better. She had a HUGE nap this afternoon (with mamma which was wonderful) which I think helped both of us :) Still got a nasty cough but that should go soon.
Have to run and get Andrew and dinner....
BBL
:)
6ybnnnn fcscxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx bcccccccccccvcnb that was from Bethany I think it says " Thank you for being so nice to my mummy, she likes talking to you and you make her happy!!" or maybe it is " I love Jack!!" LOL
Yeah I was going to suggest that too. I really like my mothers group. They are happy to accommodate people. I don't know what'll happen when I eventually move. I'll have to find a new mothers group but I don't know if I'll find one as good as the one I'm currently in.
amy - Good to hear Bethany is on the mend.
Sami & katones - Thanks for the NR cream suggestions. Maya's NR seems to be almost gone now but I'll keep them in mind if it happens again. She does still have the remains of a blister but it's healing nicely.
Cathy - Good to hear your twins are doing well. :)
I bought an Ergo today. :) I can't wait to try it out. It'll be easier to put on than my HAB! Though I do like the closeness and feel of the HAB.
We are plodding along with the new routine. I feel like at times there is small progress but then things can go bad and at times I'm trying to settle her for AGES. I talked to the woman from Tweddle yesterday who said it takes about 3 weeks for the routine to start working. So I'm going to stick with it even though there are times when I think "this isn't working!!" I'm still wondering if I should go to a sleep school anyway? Or should I wait the 3 weeks and see if it's improved? Decisions decisions...
Hello :hello: It's quiet in here today.
A quick me post.. Maya is now rolling both ways. :) She rolled from back to front last night and now today she keeps rolling from back to front then front to back over and over. She's so proud of herself. :)
I had Maya weighed today and she's only put on 100 grams in a month. :( Which has me concerned. But the nurse said she's not worried cos Maya looks and acts healthy. I've decided to take her to my GP though and get her looked over just in case there is something wrong! Appointment is next Monday.
hmmm very quiet in here...
i had Jack weighed today..8.32kgs
43cms head
i did get his length measured but i am too lazy to go look at what it was...
Hi all, Things seem to be improving here **touch wood** I uploaded some new piccies in the gallery earlier...
Ummm otherwise not much to report.
Hope all are well :) Mwah
Great news on the rolling !! Zander can do it but chooses not to I think ;) nwhy would he with others around to bring him things whenever he makes a noise.
Re : weight - I'm with you on this one - 100 gms in a month is not much, and considering she is not a big chucker (I dont recall anyway???) and fully b/f - i dont think there is necessarily something wrong, but worth checking it out. She sounds like she will be like my Giselle, good size at birth, but little and dainty now - she is nearly 4 and 13.5kg - which Riley was at 1
No she doesn't chuck much. Fully b/f. I just don't know why she's not gaining much weight. :( I feel like I should rule out medical reasons. I also posted on here in the breastfeeding support section so I'll see if someone has some good advice. So far everyone I've talked to though has given me different advice.
Tanya - like any "advice" - even mine :p - take what you can from it and if some part works for you that is great. Let us know how you go though - would be interested to see what the GP says and because she is growing so beautifully with being happy and milestones etc as the MCHN thought - just going to be Maya!
Have you given thought to what you would do/say if the GP just says, introduce formula for the fat - start solids asap?
Actually my MCHN wants me to start solids now. But I can't see that helping her weight gain. I'm now trying to feed her some extra EBM I have in the freezer but she normally doesn't take it. Though tonight she finished with the bbs and then took 40 mls of EBM from DH. Then we did offer her formula out of interest (we have those made up packs JIC) and she drank about 40 mls of that! So I wonder if my supply is just very very low now after a long time of fussy feeding. :( Anyway, it makes me even more confused as to what to do. I'm going to try and do a dream feed tonight (well she'll wake fully so it's not really a dream feed) to try and get some extra calories into her. I might offer some formula then too. I know starting formula though is a path to possibly ending b/f cos of interference with flow. But if I don't have the flow and she's not trying to increase it what can I do?!
Glad you have thought about it though - then you wont feel surprised. Zander's weight gain has been fine - but I am highly doubtful he would take 150mls per feed from me - but of course hard to tell, he just doesnt seem to be at the breast long enough etc. I am trying not to think of that cos if i start to think about "mls" I will get obsessed etc lol.
What about the ABA?? You can chat to a someone for free if you are not a member and get some advice re the top-ups. At 4/5 months our supply usually adjusts again so the content of the milk changes to suit bubs.
No wonder we start to notice lines on our face and the odd grey hair after we have kids! ;)
