Sam - nice Avi!!!
Katones - My MCHN was telling me she has known a baby to go up to 21 days without having a poo! lol thats seems abit disturbing to me.
oh shes calling again.. she hasnt slept for more than 10 mins at a time today :( :(
OMG I look gorgeous :)
well Jack did finally poo....and he was all smiles after he was done..... I am sure i went through 20 wipes wiping his lil bum when he was pooing...it seemed to go forever!!! LOL thats enough poo talk...
The last 2 nights now...i have taken Jack in the shower..he loves the water on the back of his head...must get hubby to take a piccie of Jack with me in the shower.
Just popping in to say hi everyone! Im lurking and reading how you are all going and just wanted to say that Sami - you look hot mama! Whoo hooo!
Thanks Tanstar - just boosted my day!
katones - yeh Mia has had 2 showers with Matt so far and she LOVES it. its so much easier for me coz i dont have a bath here so when its time to bath her i have to get the bath out, fill it, empty it, etc etcc.
Jack has had afew baths in his tub..but most of the time i have a bath and he is in with me :D i love doing this..i did it with my older 2 aswell... BUT having said that it is easier to give him a quick shower at night.
girls i am having a little Bellybelly break.
If you want me you can catch me on Facebook or messenger.
please dont be strangers :)
*hugs*
kellie
hrmmm ok kel.
What a day :( shes been throwing up not just spewing the past couple hours. Shes been crying..not sleeping... poor lil darl, i think she is sick. I have managed to get her to sleep i just hope she stays there coz shes so exhausted. Me aswell....
gosh busy day! I'm loving all those photo links!!!
Hollye - aaw hugs hun . Has she had her shots? is it from the rotateq? I know they said that can make 'em spew for up to a week  hope it get's better soon for you.
Tan - *waves* hiiiiii seems odd not having you in this thread! Make sure you keep coming back to play!
SamiH - love the avi, well done to you! I keep meaning to do that....
Katones - I haven't tried having a shower, too scared I'd drop him. Do you find it slippy?
Georgi - explodapoos - love it! X does those and a few times mid nappy change he's given me two for the price of one... always scary when you see more coming out and there's nothing between you and the poo :o
AmandaJ - eep that's scary on the swallowed toy, but I'm glad it all worked out.
The whole O'ing thought is just scary. My sis just told me she got AF bang on 4 months both times.... I've certainly seen no sign of it. Is anyone else too scared to DTD? I haven't dared yet, but I've also had pretty slow healing from the episiotomy.. and honestly I don't htink it's ready yet. Just wondering if others had found this?
Had my first mother's group today - woo hoo. X was second oldest (by 1 day) and most were about 7-8 weeks. He freaked out the others by sleeping (& snoring) the entire time (even though he was due for a feed - what's with that?). Was ok group... didn't majorly click for me but maybe it'll get better :dunno:. I think I felt too old (and yes i know I'm not THAT old...) but still. Otherwise, just busy busy day cooking dinner, fixing up bookkeeping dramas I missed in Oct (eeep!), I'm so unorganised and I hate having to do it... but trying to explain it to someone else would be more work than doing it myself atm... 'cept for when I stuff things up lol.
Anyways... oh and X's eczema is still heaps better and I'm eating healthily (well a bit less chocolate ) to see if that helps any... plus some fish oil tabs... plus moisturising his little chubby bod heaps... all helping i figure.
Hi to those i missed, hope you're all going well :)
Hollye - Sounds like Mia is doing well re growth. :) Sorry to hear she's sick though! And hugs re your dad. My dad's passing is coming up to 9 years in January! The first anniversary is the hardest. Though I still miss my dad and wish he could meet Maya.
Sami - Love the avi!
AmandaJ - Glad to hear Cody is OK!
I feel really slow but sometimes I just cannot work out what the abbreviations you are using mean! Is there somewhere on the BB site with abbreviations and what they mean?? Like what does AF stand for?! I just can't work it out!
Maya had her 8 week check up today. She's 4.65 kgs. So she's put on 450 grams over 4 weeks. I saw a different MCHN today cos mine is on hols. And I had to breast feed Maya while there and when she heard all the noises Maya makes while feeding and saw Maya coming off the breast she said that my milk is coming out to fast for her and I need to feed more reclined. The MCHN said she's probably not getting enough hind milk and might be having upset stomachs which could explain why she's so unsettled ALL DAY! So now I am going to try feeding more reclined and see if that makes any difference.
Actually for some reason Maya has been SO much more unsettled during the last few days! I don't know if it could possibly still be from the injections at all?! She just will not sleep during the day!! But on the upside she's been sleeping more at night. Last night she was in bed at 11pm and didn't wake till 7am! :o But I'm really worried she's not getting enough sleep in a 24 hour period!
oops me again... just downloaded the cutest pic!!! (ok so mebbe I'm a bit biased...).
X is having the weirdest week. He was totally unsettled yesterday. Today he's fed at 6.30am, 10.30am (had to re-settle a few times inbetween), 3.45pm and now he's still asleep! He started waking up at 7pm so I took him for a powerwalk around the block and he's gone back off! And stayed off! And it's freaking me out slightly. Is it possible to be too sleepy? Ok I'm just re-reading it and obviously I'm crazy if I'm worrying about sleeping too much. DH just keeps saying just wake him... and i'm like... nooo... not yet... not yet.
Awww thanks Belfie - I miss you guys too - I don't like being all split up like this ***sob***. Maybe I will just crash here permanently as well!!
I know what you mean about sleeping hun - James only had 5 feeds in 24 hours yesterday because he sleeps so long at night but he is demand fed and that is 3 hourly so Im just going with it! I would too if I was you unless he is getting day and night back to front and then I would wake him during the day - other than that let him go! Gorgeous pic too hun - love the fact that he is shirtless but with mittens and booties on! :D
Tanya - there is a thread for abbreviations hun will see if I can find it for you! AF is for Aunt Flo-Period! Takes a bit of getting used to but you will get there!
Hollye - I hope you get some rest love.
PP - Hope you are ok..
Katones - I never think of the shower! I shower in the morning and our kidlets bath at night, but I have started taking Izzy with me and she loves it! Baths are great with bubs.
Hi Amanda, Sami (hot stuff ;)) and everyone I have missed! Sorry I can't go back any further!
Anyone have ideas on how to stop my toddler from smothering my baby?? Izzy has been driving me nuts today, wouldn't sleep for her nap, woke up in hysterics (teeth?) and then spent the arvo pretending to kiss James and in the meantime would sit on him, lie on him, watch TV with her feet up on his chest and then slapped his face when I told her off... She just laughs when I pull her away and we have taught her how to be gentle and most of the time she is but she must have known I was tired and feral today and played up on it. Thank goodness James is such a happy man - he will be a tough little cookie surviving all her "love"!!
Hi!
Hope everyone had good days.
Hollye~~ Hows Mia going?
Belfie~~ Wise advice given to me by a NICU nurse of many many years...Never wake a sleeping baby!!! They will not let themseleves starve and wake to eat!! :D of course trust your instincts if he is really out of it and not himself check it out
Tanya~~ Hope Maya is more settled soon
Sami~~ Yup you look hot!!
Bethany was soooo good today dispite the day from hell. Grrrr not even worth going in to, it included a car brake down and well you can imagine.
She is sleeping and hopefully will have a better night, don't know where she got the idea to play at 2am from but she did...mmmm. First time so hopefully a one off.
Hello to anyone else I missed
Oh and Bethany LOVES showers!! We have both of us there though one in the shower with her and the other outside. To get her and just in case, as we get more confindent we probably can do it solo.
I'll try and upload some more pics too...got some cute ones in waiting
Bye bye for now!!
Hi Amy! I KNEW I forgot a few people.
Hi Tan!!!
Hmmm, so it is possible to get AF after 4months. Oh no.. I was hoping to go at least 5 or 6. I'm not ready for the witch. Gosh I hope it's just O & no AF. Byron is 4 months old on the 28th Dec so we'll see aye.
TANSTAR Nice of you to drop in. Hi.. I use to float between the threads when we were belly buddies but I can only just keep up with this one now
PP I'll definately catch you on FB
AMANDA We'll have to organise a meet up with us Goldy girls & you brissy girls... One day
KATONES Byron is a 2 - 4 day pooper so they are always exploder poos. DH has been taking him in the shower with him lately too. Byron loves it. He's much calmer when he gets out then if he had a bath
My Paediatrician said that one of his patients went 27 days without pooing. Gosh, imagine that. No thanks
HOLLYE I hope Mia has slept a little more for you
SAMI Yes, you look "HOOOT"
BELFIE Yes we've DTD a few times, but I had an easy birth, 4lb 9oz easy! Though I did find it a little uncomfortable, then I was told that if you're BFeeding, you'll need to use KY. So we did last time & it was much better. As for feeling old in mothers group... I hear ya. Most of the mums in our group are mid 20's. There's a couple close to 40 then a few in our early 30's. I do feel old though. Oh yeah, I commented on your photo
TANYA I have the same problem. My milk comes too fast so I lay back on the recliner, or lay down to feed. Since I've been doing that it is much better. Byron doesn't fuss so much & feeds much better
AMY A car brake down... How awful. I get worried mine will do that cause I'm having some electrical problems. I couldn't imagine being stuck somewhere with Byron in the car. I hope it was ok for you
We had our clinc/mothers group today. Byron has put on another 480gm in 2 weeks. I was happy with that. I was a little worried as he hasn't been feeding for long in the past week. I was wondering if he was getting enough. Obviously he is. Looks like his weight gain is slowing down now. He was putting on 250 - 300g each week. As long as he's happy and sleeping then i'm happy.
Off to mums & bubs yoga tomorrow, then getting my legs and 'uh ummm' waxed. I hope it's not too hot
I went through 6 wipes cleaning his exploda poo this morning. It had only been 2 days since his last poop so it wasn't the worst I've delt with.
