Nikki - Ouch Chantelle! Oh sweetheart, get better soon.
Tracey - Jordan and Benjamin are just about the same in the day sleeping patterns. Benjamin goes down for a sleep around 9:30am and can sleep through to 1pm. He then has up to an hour from 4pm, but then we can't get him to sleep again til after 9pm at night. He then wakes on and off for bf's and that just drives me nuts, cause I just know it's a comfort things for him, and the dummy just doesn't do it for him Grrrrr...
Linda - Yay on the walking! Well done Emma!
Fenella - Happy Birthday Tamsin! Nice to see you back in here, thought you forgot about us?
Cindy - Great to see Tori is finally putting weight on. I haven't had Benjamin weighed in a while, but he feels so heavy now, and I know he's got taller too.
We've got a big problem here. Since Benjamin had his injections, he's really changed. He won't sit anywhere strapped into a harness/belt without making a lot of noise about it all, I could really do with some ear plugs at times because of it. He won't sit in his high chair, pram or even his car seat without screaming, and I feel really bad at times. I've just dug my heels in on the car seat and the pram, but he can climb out of his high chair so I've ditched it for now. He's also been very clingy too. Any ideas? I don't know how much more my ears can take.

Hi!
Wow what a busy day! Louis and I left at 8.30am and had swimming - I have such p/g brain I forgot his nappy bag so I had to ask if someone had a spare swim nappy. I'm such a nong! Then had to shopping for the concert and didn't get home until nearly 1pm. Louis fell asleep in the car at 12.15 and was soooooo tired. I forgot his dummy as well so he did so well! Only got grizzly at the very end. Then I had to get organised for dancing and had to wake Louis up to go to childcare! I hate waking him up! He screamed when I left but apparently he did well. Dh picked him up and got him fed and bathed and to bed and had dinner cooked when I got home! So nice! That sounds great doesn't it but I still managed to crack it with him! hehe. I'm such a moody b&#!h at the moment!
I feel so sick! I'm all blocked up and my chest hurts when I cough - I'm such a sook. Hopefully I'll feel a bit better tomorrow! I'll have to have an early night.
Linda - Wow on Emmas first steps! Thats great! Does she eat the m&m's?? hehe - thats cute! Bugger about waking so much! Louis played up with me last night. Then I left him with dh while I went out and he went down without a fuss! And tonight as well! So he's just playing me at the moment and will just scream until I go in there. Little terror!
Tracey - Yep - I did end up having a good night out at dinner! I think I just relaxed a bit and it was good not to be thinking about all the things I have to get done! hehe. I got your invite as well. I will have to see as that is the weekend before the concert and I imagine I'll be getting last minute details finalised. My hope is to have everything finished by then though so I hope it's ok to let you know a bit closer to the date! My boobs are the same in my bathers! hehe. Although I think they're starting to get bigger again now with my p/g! I'm back into my dd bra's! I was expecting them to be nothing now with only 1 feed a day but obviously the p/g is making them bigger again.
I want to win tattslotto too!!!!! (but I don't buy them either! hehe)
Cindy - Thats fantastic about Tori's weight gain! What a relief! Glad works going well!
Nikki - Poor Chantelle! Ooh I'd die if I saw blood! The only time I've seen blood on Louis is when he had his heel ***** test in the hospital when he was first born! hehe. And even that was on a bandaid! hehe. I hope she's ok now! I hope her immunisations go ok tomorrow. Louis has his on Monday.
Fenella - :happybirthday: Tamsin! Hope she had a great day!
-
Melissa - Sorry to hear Benjamin has been so unhappy. I don't know what to suggest. Louis is clingy at the moment too but I think it's because he's been sick...Hopefully he'll be back to his normal self soon.
-
Morning all!
OUCH Nikki, poor Chantelle, it's horrible when they do things like that! Will slipped in the bath twice yesterday and just ended up with a belly full of water :)
Kristie - this cold is awful isnt it? I just want to sleep all day, being pg wouldnt be helping you either?
Melissa - sorry to hear Benjamin isnt happy with car seat etc atm, i guess you just need to keep reassuring him and hopefully he will get used to them again soon - do you think maybe his injection site is hurting him and the harness is rubbing it?
Tracey - hope swimming was nice, hehe on the boobs ikwym lol!
Fenella - Happy Birthday to Tamsin, hope she had a nice day!
Cindy - thats great on the weight gain, not so great on the teeth!
I had to go to the dentist yesterday, another filling! I never had any fillings until after i had Molly, and now another after having Will! We also went to look at another preschool for Molly, a private pre-prep school, it was lovely (but expensive lol). Not much else happening here, Will has an appointment at the pead next week for Cafe au Lait spots, otehrwise pretty much same old same old....
btw Melissa if he has sore injections site, or it has a lump there rub some vaseline onto it, thats what my mchn told me :)
-
Kell - Benjamin had a nice welt looking mark on the MMR injection site that came up the next day. It was red for almost a week. He had a fever like the doctor said he might get a week after his injections. I don't know where the screaming thing came from either, because none of the harnesses/belts sit over the injection sites. So, the only other thing I suppose I can do, is ride this out and hope it stops soon.
Melissa
-
Kristie - I hope all the concert things are coming together for you. Just think of how relaxed you'll be when it's all over!
Melissa - it sounds odd. Do you think it's worth taking him back? I guess though their little systmems have a lot of work to do after the shots, so he might just be feeling lousy so more impatient & cranky than normal? I hope he is feeling better soon.
All's well here. Up 3 times last night, but she slept in with me from 6 - 9am so that made up for it ;) She's gone to her Nanna's this afternoon so I can get some work done....better start LOL.
-
Hi!
Another busy day! I'm nearly losing my voice now! (dh is quietly very happy! hehe) Louis has been very sooky and clingy today...It's starting to drive me a bit crazy! Normally it wouldn't matter but I've just got so much to get done. That could very well be the reason he's being so clingy maybe...
Kell - bugger about the dentist! Still not to bad to only have a couple of fillings so far!
Melissa - Hope Benjamins ok today! Ooh I'm so not looking forward to getting Louis needles on Monday!
Linda - Yeah, I know! I'm just good at whingeing at the moment! hehe. I think because I know the whole business is going to end as well it makes it a bit harder to be motivated about it iykwim? What a nice sleep in!!
Not much news for me! Louis has learnt to stand up now without pulling himself up and is walking around quite a bit but mainly when we're at other places - not home! I don't know why, it's strange. I better have an early night tonight! More work tomorrow.
Hope you all have great weekends!
-
Kristie - I always find Emma is super clingy when I have heaps on too, probably because they know we are trying to get away from them LOL.
-
I'm feeling super guilty at the moment for it too. It's like he's expecting me to leave him or dump him somewhere or with someone. When Mum visited for 30min today she was getting ready to leave and grabbed him and started saying bye bye and he just started screaming thinking either she was taking him or I was going. He wouldn't stop until I took him back and then he stopped instantly. Poor little munchkin!
Oh well, it will all be over soon!
-
Oh Kristie, that must be hard. Funny thing is, Emma has never really done that. She does get clingy, but never cries when I leave her with someone (unless she wants a feed ). Don't feel guilty, he will be fine.
-
We've got the same thing going on with Benjamin. He wants to be held all the time, and he screams if you put him down. It's a bit sad here when a family member comes over for a visit, and he screams because they are leaving and just wants to hang onto them so they don't leave. Naturally, mummy or daddy to the rescue for cuddles.
We've had a few thunderstorms here in the past 3 days, and Benjamin jumps everytime there's a large bang outside. We are trying to reassure him that everything is alright so he doesn't get scared.

Hi!
Hope you've all had a great weekend! Louis is walking around everywhere now and can stand up from sitting nice and easily now as well!
I've decided to wean tomorrow as we are only down to one feed anyway and Louis gets upset with me because there's not much milk there anyway so I figure now's as good a time as any. We'll see how we go. If the weaning all goes well Mums going to have him for a sleepover next Sat! Woohoo. That will be our first night without him. We have a friends party on the Sat night but I'll think we'll have a reasonably early night just to enjoy each others company. We've been at each others throats a bit lately so it will be nice I think. I'll miss him sooo much though and I'm sure I'll be up reasonably early to go and get him!
Linda - Gorgeous piccie!!
Melissa - poor benjamin with the thunder! Hope it all settles down soon.
Not sure if I have any other news. Just getting ready for another busy busy week. grrr!!! Tomorrow afternoon the girls all get prof photos so that will be a long, stressful arvo getting them all in their costumes....The photos always turn out good though!
ok - Hope you're all well!
-
Kristie - good luck with weaning- I hope it goes smoothly for you. OMG - Yay at the sleepover! I can't wait to do that! I think I'll do it as soon as Emma is weaned too!
Melissa - thunder would be pretty scary for them hey. :( I hope he goes back to his happy little self soon.
-
Morning, did you all have a good weekend? Ours was pretty good, we took the kids to my aunts farm yesterday. They have some new lambs and Molly got to bottle feed a couple of them that were orphaned, which she found very exciting :) Will is a bit clingy atm too, he is not sleeping as well as he usually does either. i think he is moving to one day sleep but still gets grizzly if he doesnt have two grrrr... My cold is almost gone thankfully, and the kids are better too.
Kristie - good luck with the weaning. I always look forward to having some kid free time too but then miss them and want to come home lol!
Melissa - i hope he gets used to the thunder soon, it is pretty scary for them :)
We had an earthquake here on sat night, the whole house rattled and shook, but the kids slept thru it ;)
-
Hi Everyone, look as though we all had a nice weekend. I had a body shop party yesterday which was good. I made good sales so ended up getting $70 worth of free stuff YEAH
Jordan is doing well. Still commando crawling and zooming around in the walker. He likes to stand up when we are holding him so I think he may skip the crawling stage. Only a week and a day till his bday I CANT WAIT.
Kristie YEAH on the weaning. After watching a current affair and the lady who was feeding her 5 yr old I thought about weaning, I think it was a little wrong. Good to see the concert preps are going well. If you cant make it to the party dont stress I am sure we will all catch up at some point.
Cindy How is the job going? Hope Tori is well
Nikki How is everything?
Melissa sorry i have no clues about Benjamins screaming when being buckled in. I know Jordan doesnt like to sit when he has a nappy of poop or is trying to poop, but I am sure it couldnt be that all the time? Hope it sorts itself out.
Linda good to see you had a great sleep. Love the pic.
Fenella Hope Tamsin had a great birthday!!!
Well I am not doing much today, just chilling and doing some housework (how boring) Take care everyone
-
hi all,yep we had a great weekend too.
wow on the earth quake kell.amazing!!!!!
chantelle had her needles on friday and has done very well.i took my 11 yo neice who cried more than chantelle did.
we just had swimming, she is asleep now.it wipes her out.
the weather here is georgous today and tomorrow.
i cant beleive that the end of the year is fast approaching,my calender is starting to fill with end of year school stuff and xmas plans.woohoo!
chantelle is still sleeping through and has been so wonderful in her personality and behaivior the last few weeks.she has just learnt how to do a hi five and peek a boo....she also took her first steps last thursday.after i read that linda had tried to bribe emma to walk i was curious and i couldnt beleive it when she did it,nothing since though.
anyway.house work to do while she is asleep.
nikki
-
PMSL Nikki! So what did you bribe her with?
-
cheese linda, beleive me she eats junk food all the time with 2 big brothers always stuffing there face.
love the photo of emma, hasnt her hair grown.
has emma walked again since?
nikki
-
Nikki - Great to hear that Chantelle has taken her first steps. Benjamin had a few days where he didn't bother with walking after he took his first few steps, then ever since, it's been full on.
Kell - OMG, I heard today on the news about the earthquake. I hope nothing got broken?
Benjamin is back to his own mischievious self again. I've just spent the last 15 minutes watching dh chase Benjamin around the house on all fours. Benjamin was giggling heaps, which gave me a laugh too. I swear I thought I had 2 children here...:)
Melissa
-
Nikki Yeah on Chantelles 1st steps, that awesome. Has anything happened with her commercial? I have yet to see it on tele?
Melissa sounds as though you had a great afternoon. Its nice when the dads can take time out to be kids again and play with bubs.
Well I had an awful afternoon. After I got back from a nice walk I put Jordan to bed and then he got up about 3.15. He was then permanatly attached to me till bed time. I couldnt put him down as he would scream. He wouldnt sit on the floor. If i put him on the floor on his tummy he would crawl over, in the walker he would run my legs over till i picked him up. I was LOOSING IT.
To top it al off I got a virus on the computer from mu SIL.... on msn messanger. I opened some file which said "is this you in the photo?" if anyone gets it DONT OPEN IT. DH had to do stuff to computer to sort it all out.
Lets say that I am going to have a shower and hop into bed for the rest of the night. DH has gone out for coffee with a mate so I am alone with Jordan who is sleeping soundly thankgoodness.
Well enough of my winging.... sorry I had to vent as I was seriously so close to LOOSING IT with the little tacker. I thought he wouldnt make his 1st bday.
Night all hope all bubs sleep soundly
-
Tracey - Oh no - I got that virus too! I was SO upset! It wasn't too nasty but a major PITA. Sorry to hear Jordan wasn't himself today. :(
Nikki - only a few steps yesterday, but not much more walking. We must need more m&ms ;) I've been looking out for the ad too - when is it going to be on?
Melissa - great to hear he's back to himself! How cute!
-
Hi!
Another busy day! We were out from 9.30am until after 2pm and then had to head back out at 3.30!! Luckily dh came and picked Louis up from where the kids were getting their photos as I didn't get home until after 7pm! Of course Louis was asleep by then which was very needed as he'd only had 30min all day!!!
He had his immunisations this morning and was such a brave boy! He didn't cry on the first one, only whimpered on the second and then started crying on the third - but the dr gave him a jelly bean and he was all happy! Thats his first lolly!! He gave him a blue one and he dribbled it everywhere! hehe
We had to do some shopping for costumes and I let Louis have a walk around kmart and and he decided he loves ripping the clothes off the coat hangers - grr. Funny though. He loves being chased and was hiding behind things wanting me to chase him.
Then he had a walk through the shopping centre - he'll hold my hand until he sees something he wants and then he lets go and tries to run but after a while ends up down to crawling and goes soooo fast. He squeals when I pick him up and ends up with the giggles.
I love my little boy sooo much!! He's been so good considering how busy I've been - I think I had him in and out of the car around 16 times today!
Louis did really well with no bf this morning. I just gave him a cup of milk and he gulped it down and didn't have a concern at all. He also had no grizzles so I figure he'd had enough! I was so embarrassed though! I was at the photos this afternoon and my right boob started leaking! I haven't had that since the early days! I ended up getting home and did a bit of hand expressing as my boob was soooo sore and lumpy. It's funny though - the left one is fine! Hopefully it doesn't last too long!
My 7yo niece left a message on my phone tonight asking me to call her - my sister says she's been crying because she doesn't know whether to go and stay with Louis at Nannas or go to a b'day party with her brothers friends. So cute! I think she's going to go with Louis but I told her to do whatever she wants.....
I was playing with Louis when we got home this afternoon and he tried to run away from me and he fell on to his hands and knees which was fine but then somehow his little arms slipped from under him and he banged his lip on the floorboards. I was expecting to see blood but he just had a bit of a fat lip for a while....I suppose we can expect these falls now with the walking!
Kell - Wow at an earthquake! How scary - I would have freaked out. Thats good the kids slept through though. I hope you can sort out Wills sleeps soon. It's hard when they're inbetween.
Tracey - The Body shop party sounds like fun - thats great you got some free stuff! Jordan sounds cute cruising around in his walker. Your quiet day sounds like bliss! hehe
What a bugger you had such a trying night!! I wonder if he's getting a tooth or maybe getting sick...then again they all seem to have these times for no good reason! I hope you have a relaxing rest of your night!
Nikki- Yeah on Chantelles steps - thats exciting! Swimming is so good for their sleeps - glad she coped well with immunisations...I know christmas is really just around the corner now. I can't imagine what it's like with all the activities and events for 3 kids!
Melissa - So glad to hear Benjamin is back to his normal self!!!! They boys sound gorgeous playing around together!
OK - I've written an epic!!! I can just go on and on and on...Sweet dreams everyone!!
-
Hi Linda!! I didn't write anything to you!! Sounds like you are well though!!
-
LOL Thanks Kristie - sounds like Louis is going great. How brave with his needles! Emma gets all of hers at once. So they have 3 nurses plus another to hold her legs, so they all happen at once.
-
Wow Linda! What a great idea! That would make it a lot better for them I reckon.
-
Yeah, it is great. She doesn't know what's coming so it's over before she even realises.
-
Morning all! Our weekend was flat out... DH had a party for his 30th birthday on Friday night, and we spent the entire day on Saturday getting stuff ready for Tamsin's birthday party (which was on Sunday). And of course we were totally stuffed after the party! It went really well though :) Yesterday we took Tamsin for her 12 month immunisations, and she was really good (only cried at the last one, and a quick BF made it all better).
Tracey, the body shop party sounds interesting - I didn't realise they did parties. How did you arrange it?
Linda, I love the photo of Emma in your ticker! So cute!
Kristie, Louis sounds just adorable running around the shops. Hope the weaning continues to go smoothly for you.
Melissa, the photo of Benjamin in your ticker is fantastic :)
Nikki, glad to hear Chantelle is sleeping well for you. The hi-5 sounds really cute too :)
Kell, hope everything is okay after the earthquake! Molly feeding the lambs sounds really nice. I think Tamsin is doing the same as Will with her sleeps, hope it passes quickly for you and he's more settled soon.
Hi to everyone else too, hope everything is going well!
-
Wow Fenella - that sounds like a huge weekend of partying! Glad it all went well! What a brave girl with her immunisations!
-
Fenella - it's good to hear from you. Glad the party went well!
We are having sleep issues (surprise surprise) but I've done a post in the general baby section, so I won't repeat it here. But otherwise we are going really well & having heaps of fun. :)
-
hi fenella, happy birthday tasmin.wow what a very busy weekend you all had,bet you fell into bed sunday night exhausted.
linda,i read your other post.i think you are a very smart woman, you are right,it is best to know in advance what you are going to do and try and stick to it,otherwise she will be sooo confused.you have to do only what you feel comfortable with, other wise it just wont work, good luck with it all and plaese keep us up to date,we may have some handy hints for you.
all is well here.have been invited to cox plate on saturday so will go shopping tomorrow to find something for a prg belly that still looks smart and sexy.going swimming this arvo with the kids and taking my neice and nephew, tis very hot here today.
nikki
-
Thanks Nikki, will keep you posted.
-
Hi!
Not much to report! When Louis got looked after this afternoon at dancing they mustn't have changed his nappy and when I picked him up after a while he weed and it went all over me!!! I felt so guilty that he had such a wet nappy! Poor little munchkin.
Nikki - Saturday sounds like fun! I hope you can find something nice! There's heaps of pretty stuff out there and even normal clothes that look like you could wear them as maternity!
Hope you had fun at the pools!
Well, I'm going to veg out in front of the t.v...
-
Kristie Louis is doing so well with his walking by the sounds of things. He is such a contented little boy I couldnt imagine him being any other way. Good to see you are getting all your concert stuff done.
Linda Hope the sleeping settles back down again to give you a well deserved rest
Nikki Hope you had a good time swimming. It must be nice to have the extra helpers around also. Hope you have a great time on saturday at the races.
Fenella the body shop do parties at home, they have a website which i think it bodyshopathome.com (or something similar). You can go to bodyshop website I am sure that they have a link. they have all different themes which is nice. A pamper party is nice, specially for us mums.
Cindy How is everything going?
Kell hope all is well with Will and Molly.
Well Jordan had a good day with daddy today. I went to work on a tuesday.....I was so not used to it and i have to work again tomorrow, 2 days in a row (how will i cope?) Only couple days now till my baby turns 1 I am so looking forward to his party. I want to give him all his pressies.
Take care everyone and have a good night

-
Great Idea Nikki!! Hopefully you guys can make it along as well! Should be fun!
Bugger about working two days in a row Trace! You'll be buggered! Hope you can have a rest tomorrow!
-
Just a really quick hello from me today - sorry i have been so slack lately but been very tired and sleeping every chance i get to.
I am at work at the moment and meant to be looking something up for the boss but checked in here instead!! Very bad....
The christmas party sounds good, I will have a look for more info later.
Crap - got to go, the phone wont stop ringing!!!
i hope everyone is going well
-
Well I'm 4 days over due for AF. I did a pg test yesterday which was a BFN. But normally I don't go past my 29 days without AF appearing. It's got me baffled at what's going on. Either I'm pg and the tests aren't picking it up yet, or something screwy going on in my system. :bluedust: I got to day 38 before we got a positive with Benjamin. We'll see what happens then, I so have to find something to keep my mind off this. I do have a job interview tomorrow, so that might just do the trick.
Fenella - I'm glad the parties went well...
Tracey - Daddy days are really good, for them and us.
Melissa
-
Hi!
Not much from us - had a relatively quiet day yesterday which was nice. Just chilled out at home. It was nice not to have to leave!
Louis' cutest word of the moment - Flowers! It sounds so cute - kind of like Wowers....I had to get him on video saying it as it was just to funny. He's now learnt computer and kangaroo! Funniest things to hear him say! hehehe.
We're off to swimming this morning and then work for the rest of the day!
Louis has been up early and I've been to bed late so I'm really starting to feel it now...I really need an early night tonight!
Cindy - Good to hear from you! Hope you're all well!
Melissa - WOW!!! How exciting - Crossing my fingers for you!
-
Tracey - I hope work is going well for you.
Hi Cindy!
Melissa - Wow!! I'm so excited for you. I hope you get a :bfp: very soon!
Kristie - those words are so cute! He is so clever! Emma doesn't say anywhere near that many words! Her best word is 'hello' still.
We had a good night last night sleep wise, so we'll see what happens. I have a mountain of work to do also, so pretty busy here...
-
Kristie - Louis sounds so cute :)
Linda - Benjamin has been a handful in the sleep department. I'm glad you're having a better time with Emma.
Melissa
