Wow teething already!!
welcome ruby
and guys, i forgot to tell you, lachlan has some new friends!!!
his feet lol, he was staring at them before like' what the hell are those things, they werent there yesterday. and why are they moving' haha crack up!
Welcome Ruby.
Maddi loves staring at her feet. The other day she had her feet on my arm & every-time she moved them she would laugh. It was so cute.
Maddi also has a habit of picking up the hard plastic toys then hitting herself or the person who's holding her in the face with them.
Kim hope you had a better night last night.
james has that boogedy foot stare too. it's like they're two creatures that have shown up to taunt him. hehe.
on another note - why has my boy regressed to 3-hourly feeding over 24 hours? he hasn't done that since 5 weeks. i thought his growth spurt was done but perhaps it's still going... or he just wants to flog me one last time.
i suppose i can't begrudge him milk. he is vocalising at top volume for almost all of his waking time. we have weird 'conversations' that are a mix of babble, squeaks, grunts and dribbling. he is rolling like a demon, so i guess that growth spurt was a big developmental time for him.
when is he going to start dropping feeds again?
Welcome Ruby! Great to see a new face in here :)
How cute all the babies who have found their feet! Kieran hasn't found his on his own yet, but when I show them to him he laughs at them. Aww babies are so cute!
Viv - If it makes you feel any better, Kieran was feeding every two hours two days ago. Ughhh... I think growth spurts can pop up whenever they want to. I'm sure his rolling (clever boy!) is contributing to his frequent feeds, he's probably burning more energy than before! Hope he goes back to normal for you soon.
Selfish post peoples....be prepared...
Nightmare night again....so much screaming that turns to sobbing with funny little breathes inbetween....tried to settle SOO many times, only to have Max realise he's going down into his cot just before his bod hits the mattress......what is the DEAL!!! He was SOOO good at this... "please be a phase!" Tried, back, tummy, covers, no covers, dummy, no dummy, patting, rocking, swaying, jiggling....NOTHING!!! Finally the kid decides tummy is the way to go and zonks out as soon as his head hits the mattress.....I then got paranoid and rolled him onto his back....which he slept through. MAN!!! What a punk! He was last fed at 8 and finally asleep by 10:30.....and not awake yet 7am..... I know that probably sounds nice to some of you, but to me, this is NOT normal! He usually goes down without a fight. He should really learn that the Mummy always wins!!
Welcome Ruby...ouch teeth....is she grumpy?! Your babe is one day older than mine! Look forward to hearing more about her.
Max has seen his feet, and does this funny kick and gets all excited to see them. He is still way more interested in shoving his entire fist into his gob though! He's also become Mr Touchy Feely!
Anyway, best go feed this kid before my boob starts squirting enough to fill a coffee cup! P.S I was told about Fenugreek too so bought some tablets....but in the end I didn't need them as I am an A1 Jersey Cow!
Have a good day all
nickers - the boys are so alike... so cute!
Saffi - they were talking about fenugreek at my mothers group, and the few that took it swear by it. One mum was comping with formula, and after taking it, she didn't have to anymore
Kate - way to go on Hayleys sleep, hope she did it for you again last night. Thats how Tahlia started sleeping through... she did that a few times, and the sleeps just kept getting longer....
Welcome Ruby - Isabella is so cute! Isn't it nice when they sleep through? My DD started sleeping through around Christmas too... a nice Chrissy pressie!
Tahlia has been asleep since about 8am, so might try he with the bottle again when she wakes, as she 'should' be in a good mood, but still hungry
Yay! She just took 100ml in the bottle from Daddy!
Kellie - cute pic of Tahlia. Good news about the fenugreek. About to go out so will definitely pick some up. Great that she is taking bottles from DH so can share the load with you.
Nickers - your boys do look so much alike. I showed DH and he didn't realise they were different children. Ty has a rounder face, but maybe thats just an age thing.
KateP - way to go Hayley! It is so great when they are cooperative and will actually go back to sleep when you want them too.
Ruby - welcome. Your little girl is gorgeous. Wow, teething already!! Look forward to getting to know you both more.
Julia - hope Max is being a good boy for you today.
Viv - hope it is just a phase and James will be back to his usual self.
Hi to everyone else.
L hasn't found his feet yet, tho he does a lot of kicking. He loves it when I nibble at his toes (no, I don't have a foot fetish). He is not laughing yet, but he does this funny little squeal which sounds like a cross between a laugh and a hiccup.
When DH came home last night L was in the process of rolling over. Didn't make it all the way, but he was getting very close.
I think L is almost at the point of sleeping through. Last night his last feed was at 10pm (BM and bottle) and down around 11pm. First I heard from him was 4.45! Yesterday it was 5am, so looks like a pattern is forming. Don't they class sleeping thru as >5hrs?
Supply is still low :(
Back later
Saffi We will see later...he's OK daytimes...it's going to bed at night when he turns into HORROR child!
Alas i think the night before last was a one off - last night she didn't sleep thru, fed at 11 and 2 am but then got to sleep until 8 so that was nice, especially on a rainy Sat morning was nice to have a lie in :)
Hello and welcome Ruby!
kim - are you still using Mamia nappies? still happy with them?
i'm a bit sick of huggies. i had to return some and complained because they had all hard bits in them. i'm a bit sick of them not living up to their reputation (and price). i hear mamias are great and was curious if anyone else is using them.
ninja - are they the ones from aldi? I tried them, but wasn't really happy.... I didn't think they were as absorbent as the huggies and tahlia always seemed to smell, even if I had just changed her
Viv - I used them overnight with Kieran and find them great with no leaks. I haven't used them during the day before though.
Saffi - My work? I am an insurance/administration officer and I work with Landmark. With all the rain, and it not being cattle "season" just yet we dont have much to do. No one in the office does. The work will come but while we are waiting we play cards. And yes, while I am there doing nothing I think about all the things I could be at home doing.
Ruby - Welcome! Your litle one is teething already?! WOW! I hope I have to wait a while for that.
Caitlyn is doing well....they say there is a complete change of character at 12-13 weeks and they were right! She is sleeping from about 6.30-7pm until 2.30-3am! Am tempted to wake her at 10 to see how she goes but DH doesnt want me risking it! He goes away in a week and a bit so will try it while he is gone!
I have to admit that the only time that I used something other than huggies on Caitlyn was when I was staying at my parents house and they bought a HUGE box of snugglers. They were terrible! We used them but was changing Caitlyn so often that we decided that when we got home we would use Huggies.
Daycare has been fantastic about getting Caitlyn into a routine...and I have been able to follow it today. She will be waking up from her nap shortly and then we will play, have a bath, a feed and then to bed so mum and dad can have dinner. Then mum can go to bed cause she is coming down with a cold and AF is on her way :( Great combination!
Have a great night all!
Viv - as you know I use cloth nappies but sometimes at night I use a sposie. I am using Babylove at the moment and after the 3am feed we both fell back to sleep woops!! Well this morning it was the fullest nappy EVER and a huge morning poop and no leaks! For the money they have been good for us :)
Viv-I REFUSE to use Aldi nappies now....after going thru 1 packet..maybe 2....i had nothing but troubles with Jasmines poo's cos they never came up high enough on her tummy where her poo's tend to end up leaking from. So now i cant recommend Coles Love Baby brand enough.....i rate them higher then huggies even!!
We use huggies infant size. We did try Babylove, but had so many leaks we went back to huggies. Any leak we have ever had with them is due to my error in not pointing the winky down. I have also found them so absorbent.
