Snap NT, sometimes we have prunes instead of ardmona apple.
Hey all
Came home early from work to find my boys have gone out somewhere. So I have a few moments of peace before the night time routine begins.
Really tired today as L was making a lot of noise overnight. I fed him at 10pm, and then DH had to feed him again at 4.30am. I know we shouldn't be giving him so much milk but then again he doesn't really eat a lot of solids. What to do???
Rebecca - Still sterilising bottles, teats etc here. Also still using cooled boiled water to make up his bottles and also his sippy cup. I believe boiled water is supposed to be used until 12 months. Suppose I could give up the sterilising. Don't sterilise the dummies anymore.
Sweet corn is tinned baby puree. I looked at the adult tinned corn and it has added salt and sugar. I did buy some corn cobs to do my own but haven't got there yet and its a bit old now  I haven't given L citrus yet but I would think a manadrine might be good for her to suck on (pips removed).
We give L the Rafferty's Garden Banana porridge. Did try the Multigrain one which he didn't like. Not sure if he was just off his brekky that week or not. Might try it again as getting low on the banana stuff.
Anyway, here my boys coming in so better go.
Rebecca we do the same as Saffi re the sterilizing.
My Nephew was finally born today, 11 days overdue lol & 4.5kg.
My Sister & the gang are suppose to be coming down in Sept, can't wait to see him.
Thanks Viv & Mo! I am still sterilising the bottles/teats but have become really really lax about dummies (damn the things!). We are definitely still doing the cooled boiled water thing - store bought water of course - the town water here is 50% bore water at the moment and destined to get worse!
We had a really good night last night. Put little one down at 630 and she slept until 630! Woohoo. I dont mind getting up in the middle of the night anymore - its normally only once. But I REALLY don't mind not getting up at all.
I am DESPERATELY waiting for my friend Taz who is due tomorrow to call me with the good news! She is being very stubborn!!! Bubs that is not Taz - she has tried everything!!! Hot food, sex, walking, boiuncing! EVERYTHING!!!
Anyway - had better head off and do some work! Have a great day all - am sure I will be checking in at some stage - dont have much to do here today - as per usual!
Morning everyone!
I have such a boring day planned today, lots of housework to catch up on *inserts non-existant thumbs down icon*. I've been so tired and run down with my cold that I've let it slip (please don't tell the FLYlady ;)). I spent most of yesterday cooking up lots of vegies for K, I also cooked a roast chicken in my slow cooker, mmmm... K loved the chicken!
Rebecca - How exciting, I hope your friend's bub shows up soon! Do you know the name she has picked out?
Mo - Congrats to your sister! That's funny that he ended up coming late LOL! I'm glad he held on to be born nice and healthy. How many nieces and nephews do you have now?
Saffi - I hope you had a better night last night. It must be horrible to have to go to work when you haven't had a good night's sleep.
Viv - I've wondered about those pie apples, I wasn't sure if they had too many additives or if the quality was OK. I might give 'em a go now!
Julia - How's Max feeling today? Hopefully he is on the mend.
Willow - I've missed you around here! I'm glad you're more relaxed about L's sleeping now, I'm sure he will get there in his own time. Re: wheat bix - pasta and bread have wheat in it too so I'm sure wheat bix would be fine. I hope those top teeth come through quickly!
Amber - I don't bother with the toys sales, my house is toy central LOL! Thanks to my biz we have the biggest toy collection going around. I have NO idea what we'll get K for his first birthday!!
Have a great day everyone :D
Sam has 5 now & my other witch of a sister has 1. 3 girls & 3 boys with one of my nieces being born on my b'day :)
We had a shocker of a night, M wouldn't go to sleep till 3am & then she woke up at 8am!
So i have a tried/clingy baby today, Who still refuses to goto sleep.
Trish thanks again your a really really good friend :) (Trish did a RAoK for me).
Trish that chicken would of tasted so nice, what did u have with it?
this was my feeding strike post but i'm deleting it because it wasn't... :p
Mo - I hope Maddi is feeling a bit better now, fingers crossed she sleeps better for you tonight! We had roast vegies with our roast chicken, mmmm.... K had potato, pumpkin and broccoli with his chicken, he had it again tonight and devoured it!
Viv - LOL, what was going on with you and James?
Poor K is a bit grumpy today, he has a runny nose so he's probably feeling a bit sick. Hopefully he sleeps well tonight!
viv is everything ok?
Trish hope K isnt coming down with something!
mo congrats on being an aunty again!
not much happening here! Myles is sleeping better at night but only had maybe an hour today! i just dont understand how he can keep going!
anyway hello everyone else! Have a great night xoxoxox
I had a nice little meet-up with the Cranbourne-Warragul ladies.
M made some new friends which was nice..
Trish that sounds yummy, think i may have to give it a go, did u cook it for 8hrs on slow?
Did you add chicken stock or just plain water with herbs?
Amber glad to hear Myles is sleeping better, hope it continues :D
M is the exact same, where do they get their energy from ?
Mo - That's great you met some more BBers! Re: the roast - I buy a whole chicken that's already marinated (from Aldi!) and just plonk it straight into the slow cooker, you don't need to add anything else. It cooks in it's own juices and is soooo tender. DH & I both agree it is the yummiest way to cook a chicken! You can cook it on low for 8 hours, but I cook it on high for around 5 hours (it's a big chook though).
Amber - WTG Myles on sleeping so well at night! You guys are doing a great job :)
he didn't want boob at his midmorning time yesterday and it freaked me coz... yanoo... he loves his mummy teat. anyway, he caught up all his feeds by 1pm. he was just messing with me.
clamped his mouth shut and looked away. monkey!
Happy Birthday old gal! ;)
Happy Birthday Viv!!!!!!!!!!:p
:happybirthday: Happy birthday Viv, I hope you have a wonderful day!
Happy Birthday Viv! Hope you have a great day and get spoilt!
Willow - good to hear from you again. It is pretty scary that he'll be walking before you know it! Tahlia is desperately trying to crawl at the moment, and that is scaring me enough, let alone the thought of walking! Where have our babies gone?
Mo - congrats on your new nephew!
Rebecca - how is your friend going? any news yet?
Amber - glad to hear you are having better nights
Not much new with us, my parents are moving house today, so heading over there soon to help out. Went to the Kmart toy sale and got a few things, mostly christmas gifts for other kids though, and a cool ball pit for T! Most of the things I saw in the catalogue were already sold out!
Happy b'day Viv.
Thanks Trish, gonna try it tomorrow for dinner, sounds so yummy!
