Saffi - I just had to go back and check I hadnt missed something too! Congrats!!!!!!!
Lol I had to keep going back to her part and checking her ticker to make sure it was real before i posted! Sneeky sneeky :)
SAFFI!!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOOOOO!!!! Congrtaulations!!!!!!!!!!
YAY for Saffi!! Well Done, Congrats!!
So many UTD....Geez....I'm always sharing my bed with Max so I doubt I'll be UTD any time soon!! lol
He, he! Thanks guys. No you didn't miss anything. I thought I'd test your observational skills. I only changed my signature last night, so one day. Good spotting Amber!
Anyway, yes I'm pregnant. I have been in shock about it we've known for 2 weeks. We weren't trying but not not trying either IYKWIM. To be honest my cycle had only just returned and whamo... Given it was years to conceive L it has taken us by surprise.
So had the scan yesterday and its confirmed. It was great to see that something was there. Until Sunday the only signs that I was pregnant was increased need to go, and some pretty vivid dreams. Being doing heaps of pg tests just to convince myself I am. Last few days been feeling pretty blah and tired but other than that I'm doing ok. This time I'm not having progesterone injections so I don't feel as sick as last time (yet).
EDD is 10/8/09 but I think I will deliver closer to 22/8. Off to OB on 15/1 and booked in for the next scan the day after my 35th b'day. Will be going back the Mater and will call them tomorrow to book in.
Enough about me
Kim - yes you set a good example. Three weeks wow! I'll be thinking about you on Xmas Day hoping that you aren't in labour.
Willow - howdy stranger! Sounds like you are very busy. L is down to one sleep. Actually when at home I try to give him 2 but daycare have dropped him down to 1. He goes into the Toddlers Room in January and they only have 1 sleep so they are preparing him for that. Love to hear more from you (hint hint).
Emily - hello again. Sounds like everything is going well with you and your DS.
Kellie - poor T,she must have been so miserable. Hopefully now she will be on the mend.
Amber- have a wiggling good day tomorrow.
Question
L has a dummy in his mouth a lot. Do you think there is any relationship between dummy use and being slow in speaking? He is very vocal but not verbal. He says "da" and "dat" a lot while pointing or reaching for things, but certainly not turtle or anything as advanced as that. DH thinks the dummy fairy may need to pay a visit, but I think he still needs them when he sleeps. Thoughts?
Anyway, I'll be around tomorow so I'll pop in.
Thanks again for your well wishes.
Congratulations Saffi!!!!!!! :happyforyou:
That is such AWESOME news, I am over the moon for you!!! Yay for L getting a little brother or sister!! (You're so sneeky ;))
Re: the dummy, I'm not really sure if it would affect speech. K still has a dummy o'night, he doesn't use it during wake time and he says quite a few words. They are all different and develop at their own pace. K is nowhere near walking yet!
Amber - You have sharp eyes! I don't normally go back and read posts so I wouldn't have noticed! Have fun at the Wiggles today!
Kim - Wow, only 3 weeks to go, that has gone fast! I look forward to hearing what you've named your little man :D
Kellie - Poor Tahlia, she has had such a rough trot lately. I hope she feels all better in time for Christmas Day!
Chamberry - Welcome back, did you have a different username last time?
Willow - Hello in here :). K still needs his two naps a day, but on Tuesday I gave him one because we were out and he just survived. I don't think he's ready yet. I remember the transition to one nap with Joel was pretty painful until he extended his nap. I love that L says "turtle", how gorgeous!!
Mo - I love your bump ticker photo!
Joel had his kinder break-up on Tuesday and they did a Christmas concert for the parents which of course was so cute! My mum came too and helped me look after K so I could take photos. K had a BALL, once he was on the floor he was off! He didn't even try to look for me LOL!
Anyway, better go and get some brekky for the boys, have a great day everyone!!
Congrats Saffi :happyforyou: OK who's next to fall pregnant????
As for the dummy, Maddi is a dummy freak & says Mum, bub, dad, mine, me, no, wow, awww, hi, bye etc.. no big words but a lot of small words.
Thanks Trish & i bet the concert was really cute.
Kim wow only 3 weeks, then to think Ange & I are next scary how fast everything is going.
I'm no where near ready!
I got Maddi's ears pierced & I'm surprised at how well she handled it, after 2mins of crying(the crying was more shock than pain) she was laughing & talking to everyone & she hasn't even tried touching them or anything.
:hooray:Congratulations Saffi, great news!!:hooray:
Oh Mo, I so want to get my girls ears pierced but am a bit scared to! Little girls look so cute when they have been done!
Hi everyone...
So much going on! Finally finished Xmas shopping just gotta wrap them now.
Saffi Dummy - Max has dummy to sleep and has lately been wanting it during the day...he calls it his 'num num'! He hasn't any trouble with words, says star, char, ta, dadda, mumma, nana, and his new one is shoes! He's practicing the 's' at the moment. Like Trish says they develop differently, and also like K Max is nowhere near walking! He's just a crawl-a-holic! Congrats again on your UTD-ness
Kim I just can't believe you are almost ready to pop already!
Mo And then you!! :) How cute M with her ears pierced. I think it looks adorable on little girls young! If I have one I would do it!
Well gotta go...DH is just about to leave for work, so my day is about to begin!
Congratulations Saffi I cant wait to be UTD again!!
Trish - Yes I did have a different username "Luvmyboiiz" thanx for reminding me cause I completely forgot all about it.
My SIL gave me her DDs toddler carseat yesterday which she brought when her daughter was 4 and still not quite big enough for a normal seatbelt but within a few weeks she had a growth spurt and no longer needed it!! So DS has fallen in love with his new "big boy seat" the old one was getting quite squashy.
Anyway had better go and get some washing done before the storms come tomorrow have a great day everyone
congrats with the warmest wishes nerida....im shocked it happened so quick for you too. but apparently once you have had one baby, it gets much easier to fall pg next time so that is great news.
question for the day. who puts shoes on there little ones? i dont as my doctor told me its bad to put shoes on babies until they have been walking for 6 weeks as it can damage the feet and alter the way they walk. so i will start putting shoes on him in about another 3 weeks.
just flying by to say: congratulations Saffi!! might have a LEO baby, the 7th August is best ok!!! (my bday;))
Hope everyone is well.
I got my Tupperware car last night! now i get to drive around a loely ford Territory its great. now just got to maintain it!
Kate Maddi only starting wearing hard soles shoes almost 4 weeks ago & she's been walking since 11months. She hated anything other than socks on her feet for the longest time.
Kaz i was going to get someone else to take Maddi in but then i figured i was the best person to calm her down afterwards.
Nic congrats on the car.
Kate - L wears Crocs when at daycare and when we go out, but at home he's barefooted.
Mo - so cute Maddi and the bling. My niece had her ears pierced as a bub too. She also has gold bracelets etc. Her Mum loves bling so only natural she would follow her example.
Nic - congrats on the car. Is it pink with Tupperware written on it? We hired a Territory when we went to NZ a few years ago. Pretty good. Actually with our expanding family we are seriously thinking about getting a Territory or a Kluger.
Woohoo, I'm now on 2 weeks leave. Going to be great chilling out with my boys. Only sucky thing is that I won't be able to enjoy all the seafood everyone else will be tucking into on Xmas Day. I could probably risk it, but this time I am trying to follow all the rules.
Anyway, have a good weekend all.
Saffi we can miss out on Christmas day together. I'm so going to hate missing out on prawns etc...
I'll just have to have a big prawn feast after Cookie arrives!
It does seem easier to have their ears done at a young age, Maddi still couldn't care less about her earrings she just hates having them sprayed all the time. I am glad i don't have to go through it for at least another year tho!
Are you having another girl Mo!!?
Yeah Mo? Are you having another girl?
Yep, Mo announced that Cookie is a girl a little while ago now!
