Babies Born October 2007 #39

It would be hard for her, but she just has to push that aside and do whats best for you. If you keep reminding her I'm sure she'll get it. You shouldn't have to feel that you must leave your own house to be mummy to your babies! H sleeps soooooo much better in her cot and much prefers to put herself to sleep than to be held to sleep, which is great, but that too is part of the reason why we can't always be out and about as T would like. I hope things in the 'helper' department get better for you lovely. One Qu for you if you don't mind.... Do you think at some stage you'll be going back for bubby #3???

Hi all hope everyone is doing well, hard to believe out little ones will be 3 so soon.

Jules how are things going with going with you helper? Hope things have gotten better.

Not much happening here, the girls are doing so well. It still amazes me how different they are. Kodi seems to have no fear of anything. She likes to climb the on top of things count to 3 & then jump whether your there or not, Maddi on the other hand is cautious. I think Kodi will keep us very busy as she gets older!

Hello everyone

Not much happening here either.

Mo- I wonder if being the second child is the reason K's more adventurous. I think the first child probably is the more "responsible" one as they have had all their parent's attention and told not to do things etc. By the time the second (and later kids) come along, the poor parents are so busy that some of those things we were vigilant about with the first is tolerated.

Taking M to the Drs today for her 1yo vaccinations. Also finally getting to the Dr to see about a lump on my eyelid. Don't expect the GP can do anything but hopefully will get a referral to a specialist so it can be cut out!

DH and I are going to a wedding tomorrow. Both taking the day off work and the kids will be in daycare. Having my hair done too. Then ILs are coming over to mind the kids while we are at the reception. Will be nice to have a kid free night.

L is well. He is such a little chatterbox. He's very good with M and she loves him too. They are both doing really well at DC.

Anyway, hope you are all doing well.

Things going well here. M is calling everyone Daddy. L is growing up so fast.

Got their photo from daycare back yesterday. They are such cuties. I don't know how they managed to get the two of them to sit still together for long enough to take a photo.

Just sitting here watching the Collingwood V Geelong game.....Please god let Collingwood win!! LOL

Max is being so hilarious at the moment.....really starting to role play and use his imagination. He also has a little girlfriend! IN LOVE! A friend that moved away from Singa back to QLD is over for a visit! Love reunited....Gorgeous!!

Gotta Go...Darcie is crying! Probably hates the sound of the whistle as much as I do!

Jules - Tahlia is using her imagination heaps now when playing too... she suprises me every day with the things she comes up with!

Question for you all... are your almost 3yr olds still having day sleeps? I think Tahlia might be growing out of them, but we are in a tricky situation. If she has one, she is a pain to get to sleep at night, still bouncing off the walls well after 9pm, but if she doesnt have one, still quite grumpy and then will sometimes fall asleep on the couch watching tv around 4 which makes for an even harder bed time?

Kellie - I know that Max could probably do with a day sleep, but he is the same as Tahlia....if he does sleep in the day, he is a nightmare to get to bed....so I just keep him busy busy busy and then he crashes at 7pm! He stopped day sleeps ages ago....when I went home to have Darcie...there was too much excitement with having Nanny around every day! I gave up on them Looonnnngggggggg ago! As much as I'd love some Max 'down time' in the day, I actually like having the evening with just me, Darcie & DH. I feel like I can relax a bit more before I actually head off to bed, rather than have Max go to bed late and then me not long afterwards.

Kellie M is the same, so i try not to let her sleep during the day anymore as it's just nightmare getting her to bed at a reasonable hour.

Maddi had her party on Sat & went well she got so much stuff and had the best day she told us :D

kellie - L is still having day sleeps most days. I guess 'cos he is at daycare and they have a sleep time he is still in the habit. His sleeps at home are anywhere between 1.5 - 3 hours. L's bedtime is around 8-8.30pm. We simply can't get them home from daycare, fed, bathed, and unwound any earlier than that.
Mo - good to hear that M's party went so well. I'll have to go on FB and check out the photos (assuming you have put some on).
Jules - yep, imagination going on verdrive here as well.

All is going well here. They had "Talk like a pirate day" at DC this week. We dressed L up and he was saying "ahoy there me hearties". It was so cute. Even M got in on the act.

Hi girls!

Thought I'd drop in to see how you all are and let you know I had my third baby! We had a third precious daughter, Avangaline (A-van-ja-leen) Catherine Lawlor on the 7th of September. She was a few weeks early and was only 6lb 3oz... so tiny! Things SO FAR have been pretty easy, but I think that's just because she's still such a sleepy little thing. I'm still waking for all of her feeds, even her overnight feeds. I'm expecting crap to hit the fan any day now. LOL! We're really happy though - I still can't believe the high you get from having a baby even three babies later. I had an epidural for the delivery this time mainly because my Ob was concerned about my placenta this time due to complications last time. I was lucky to have had it because there were some complications, but I don't feel as though the delivery was easier or better with the epidural at all. It was far more difficult due to pushing and I still felt so much pain with the crowning and it was worse since I couldn't push effectively to get rid of it. My Ob said that he recommends that I have another epidural with baby #4 which is a bit disheartening.. but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it in a couple of years.

My big girls are absolutely loving having a little baby around, particularly Rochelle. She's been trying to breastfeed her... can't take my eyes off of Rochelle when I let her nurse Ava! But it is very sweet and she is very gentle and maternal. :)

I see you guys are discussing sleep. Rochelle is still having 2 day sleeps of about 3 and a half hours all up, some days less if I keep her up from her morning nap so I can do more one on one things with her without Brooky! She can't handle not having those sleeps because she gets really irritable, cranky and NAUGHTY if she doesn't have them. When she has her day sleeps she goes to bed at 7pm for 12 hours overnight (as does Brooklyn) but if we happen to be out and she misses a sleep, she usually asks to go to bed straight after dinner and bath - about 6.30pm. I was a little concerned about how much sleep both Brooklyn and Rochelle were having, because we don't know many kids Rochelle's age having as much sleep. Most mum's I know have told me their kids Rochelle's age have dropped to one sleep. But the MCHN said it's perfectly fine and some children just need more sleep than others!

I better go, I've got to wake Ava for a feed... Hope you and the little ones are all keeping well. :)

Sleep...M will have a day sleep sometimes...doesnt phase me he has never been a big sleeper...but he will wake F up most days grrrr oh well they will work it out. I am done stressing and worrying about that stuff we just go with the flow cause I was getting worried about his sleep etc and it wasnt worth it for me....so I feel better now...but its not for everyone :)

I cannot believe my little moo is 3 tomorrow!!!!!!!! And I have been able to share all these years with the best bunch of mummies I know!

Thanks to each and everyone of you for being the most amazing support and friend to me over the past 3 and bit years! Your guidance and love has given me so much strength to be the best mum I can be!

Maddi has turned into downright little terror, i feel like all i do is tell her off.
Maddi don't hit your sister, Maddi don't throw that, Maddi give that back to your sister, Maddi stop screaming, Maddi ,Maddi, Maddi.

On the positive we took her meme off her during the day & she only has it at night, So now she happily goes to bed without a fuss because she wants her meme.

Mo - yay for the meme (dummy?) going. We've tried a couple of times and he's always woken up in absolute terror without it that we've retrieved it.

All is well here. L came into our bed last night - for the first time since was was an baby. He had a bad dream or something and the first thing we know is the sound of little feet stomping into our room (L doesn't know the meaning of tippy toes). He snuggled in between us and proceeded to hit DH in the head with the comforter. Needless to say he was sent back to his room.

M is good. She's teething again so we've had a few rough nights. She loves singing and dancing. I really should get some video of her in preparation for her XFactor debut in 2030!

Saffi we've been engaged for ages, so i finally decided to set a date :)
So as of yesterday we are officially planning a wedding, we decided on small ceremony because neither of us want a big one :)

Maddi is being such a terror lately, can't wait till this stage over. Kodi is doing really well, tho she is starting to get a temper on her.
She's the kinda toddler who lays on the floor kicking & crying when throwing tanties it's so cute compared to Maddi who has always been so dramatic when throwing tanties, she slams doors, yells, hurls objects at anything or anyone & the best part of her tanties is the high pitch scream that could shatter glass & burst ear drums.
I think Maddi will be the perfect actress when she's older lol

How's everyone going?

Things are fine here. So over the rain! Keeping on top of the washing with 2 kids is hard enough but impossible with all this rain. I'm going to have to recycle some clothes for the kids if the weather doesn't clear up soon.

Sounds like we all need to build Ark's at the moment with all the rain. Singapore is copping it too...it makes things so boring! Mum is here though so we are having a good time. I'm about to get onto having a major chuck out to get ready for the big move. I am coming home on November 7th, then off to the UK on January 4th. Eeeek!
