HI girls, Good to see some of most of you are doing well and enjoyed your meet up. I've been so busy with work, housework, the kids, playgroup and m/s I feel very tired. I'm actually about to jump into bed. Had such a busy day today and I became an Aunty again! My SIL just had her first baby. A Boy named Rylie. I can't wait to see him this weekend. I am soooo clucky!, But then, I always have been and probably always will be. heheh. If I don't get back in tmw, have a great weekend one and all! Give the bubs a hug for me!
Hi!
Melissa - How cheeky of Benjamin getting to the vcr!! Oh..I don't even want to think about them being teenagers yet - although in saying that I do think boys will be easier than girls...(although maybe thats because I know what I was like - hehehe)
Nikki - I'm sure you'll cope fine with teenagers - you have a great bunch of kids!! It seems when kids go through that time you just have let them go a bit but at the same time keep a close eye on them - without them knowing though! hehehe.
Missy - Thanks!! Wow on Callums appetitie! LOL!! Yeah for Melissa winning soccer - bugger about the kick though...
Tracey - Thanks! Umm I think the photos get ordered on Sunday so probably in a couple of weeks. I'm so excited for them! hehe. Sounds like a nice weekend planned - well other than work anyway!
Kerrie - Glad your going well - first tri tiredness is a killer!! Hope the girls are being easy on you! Yeah on your SIL having a bubba! My SIL is due in about 5-6 weeks - their first as well - I'm soooo excited!
Chat tomorrow!

MELBOURNE GIRLS,LETS GET ORGANISED FOR THE WIGGES CONCERT IN DECEMBER.NIKKI ( CINDYS FRIEND) SAID THEY GO ON SALE START OF JULY,CAN YOU CONFIRM WHAT DATE WITH HER CINDY?how qbout we work out how many tickets we need and get the money soughted out.maybe we could wire the money through to nikkis bank acc and she can bye them all for us with visa, she said that she will be jumping online to get them as soon as they go on sale.i really dont want to miss out this time,i think it would be a great experience for the munchkins.
nikki
awww nikki I want to come...lol.
Im so jealous...
Hope you all have fun...*sniffs*...lol
Sounds good to me!!!
i will find out today from nikki what the story is!
the tickets to wiggles are onsale 2nd July I have a reminder set for me to buy them. I am happy to pay someone if they will be able to get online on the day. I was going to ask my mate to buy mine for me but would love to go in a big group.
Nikki if you really want to come to my dance concert you are welcome. I am sure it will be boring though. You would have to sit thru all the kids dances, not just mine. I am not inviting anyone really as I dont know anyone who would want to go.
Well today I left work early as Jordan was sick. He has been throwing up this afternoon and has really been quite upset, Poor munchkin. I hope he feels better tomorrow. It so awful when they are sick and they dont understand why they feel so crappy.
hope you all have a great weekend
Hi!
I can't buy them because I don't have a credit card..well I do but it's a debit one and I don't have that much money! LOL! But I would be happy to transfer the money for our tickets to someone else!
Trace - Poor Jordan - hope he gets better soon!!!
Have a great weekend!
I will hopefully not have a credit card by then, but would love to go and can transfer money to someone.
Well, we went to collect Milo from creche today, and as usual I read the illness notifications (they are on the front door) and someone in his room has reported Chicken Pox yesterday!
So I am freaking out, because I don't know if he has been exposed (apparently its contagious up to 5 days before the rash, and after til the blisters pop?) so depending on what days the child goes, and when their rash appeared, he may or may not have been exposed.
The worst part is that he went to playgroup on Tuesday (obviously we didn't know) and one of the mums there is pregnant. I think I should let her know even if we aren't sure whether he has it or not, but I don't want to scare the crap out of her for potentially a false alarm.
What do you think? If it was me I'd want to know so I could see my doctor asap.
Hi!
Rachael - Yeah I would let her know...better to be safe! Hopefully Milo won't get it though!!
racheal, did you give him the 18 month immunisation,i noticed he is almost 19 months.if he had it he should be protected,if not maybe concider it for future breakouts.
how preg is the lady, later preg is usually pretty safe,my friend got chicken pox in 3rd tri and her baby was fine.
nikki
Rachel I think I would tell her to be on the safe side and also the other mums. If he doesnt get it atleast they are aware of it. I hope he doesnt catch it though.
Well Jordan is doing better today. He didnt fall asleep till 11pm last night. he just lay in his cot awake, he didnt cry at all. It was very weird as he only slept for an hour during the day so we thought he would have been knackered. We got him up a few times to sit with us and he would appear to be asleep and then when we put him to bed he would wake up and just stare at the ceiling????
Well this morning he was up at 8am and normal. He had pulled all the nappied off the change table into his cot and was calling for us. Then when I was getting ready for work he had brought all the nappies out to the loungeroom. LOL
Work was ok and I actually stayed the 5 hrs today, thats 2 weeks in a row GO ME!
Got home to a messy house so have spent the rest of the arvo cleaning up and vacuuming out the cars as they were filthy. I found a half eaten chesseburger under the seat EEWWWW. It wasnt too hard so must be quite new :)
Hope you all have a nice night. I think we are staying home tonight instead of going out for tea for our friends BDay we are not sure if we should take Jordan out yet??? will see what happens.
XX
Nikki - he was due to have his immunisation next saturday :(
Now I don't know whether he can have it, I am going to call maternal and child health to find out.
I still havent hear back from nikki about the tickets - tracye you are cute having a reminder set for them!
Well als brother is here with his wife, well al has gone to pick them up so we have been organising the apare room which built up woth crap so fast'
Wouldnt you know it though, its the one night that the two girls have been in bed since about 8 and i have to wait up for them all top arive! Tori and i had a great night without al, when he is around its all about da and tori and i hardly ever get any time without him around or charlotte in my arms! we have been reading books and colouring in her books for hours! Lots of cuddles too, she is so precious! I love my princess!
Well, i must get off here and go hang the washing!
Have a gret weekend all!
Hi!
Cindy - you sound well! So glad you and Tori had time to have some fun! It can be so hard at times...Louis hasn't had much one on one time with me but I try to talk with him and have cuddles as much as I can!
Not much from me today - off to the gym in a minute and then we're going to test drive a territory this arvo (we're nowhere near ready to buy but just want to see what they're like!) Mums coming to babysit so while we're out I'm going to do a bit of shopping with my b'day money...
Chat later!
P.S another new photo of Dylan! hehehe.
Hi ladies
well Jordan is back to his normal self which is nice. He ate all his dinner last night and then went to bed fine.
I watched the last episode of prison break last night OMG that are fantastic. I am going to die waiting for the next season. So much drama in the last 3 episodes.
Cindy thats great you spent some qaulity time with Tori I am sure she loved it as well. Hope you had a nice night with your visitors
Krisite LOVE the new Dylan photo. Have fun at the gym.
Well I am off to a baby shower this arfternoon. Should be fun.
Take care XX
Hi!
Had a good day...went and spent some of my birthday money on a new gym outfit (rebel sport is having great sales for anyone interested!) and some bargain Converse slides for $15!!! Also got a Billabong hoody...I swear I could have spent a thousand dollars if I had it (and the time) hehehe.
Tracey - So glad that Jordans feeling better! Hope you have fun at the baby shower!
Hope you all had a great weekend!
HI GIRLS,
cindy i love it when i get some quality time with both my babies, and i can see just how much they benefit from it,they just soak it up.
kristie,i love the new pic, what a beautiful smile.i love rebel sport, bet you will look great in your new gear.
tracey,im pleased to hear that jordan is all better.
chantelle and harry are both unwell, chantewlle is teething in a big way and she has every possible side effecty from it,poor thing, harry has his cough back again.grrr!off to the dr tomorrow,he might need another course of antibiotics.
we had family over for tea tonight,we have decided to go in 3 ways with grants brother and another inlaw family to bye a house and renovate and sell it,the plan is to get a small profit and then do it again and again and agian.we are speaking to the bank tomorrow and an estate agent.should be an interesting task.
ok pay attention now, grant and i have come up with what we think is a great idea.we would like to rent a holiday house at the end of the year somwhere around xmas/new year for a week, something that is baby safe and has lots to offer in the town for all of us.it will be nice warm weather and a great chance to relax by the pool side and hit the beaches and restaurants for tea etc,we will all be in the same boat with regards to small babies and toddlers so should be able to live and holiday with each other with the same interest in mind.not sure on a destination yet so your input would be good but somewhere like lorne, mornington perninsula, etc.we will have to book something pretty quick if you are interested as they will all be taken if we dont, that will also give each of us time to save money for it etc,the more that get involved the cheaper it will be,maybe you will only want to come for a night or 2 or the whole week it is entirely up to you.so if you are interested plaes let me know and i will get busy organising it all.let me know what your ideas are, length of stay, destination and anything else you can think of.
ok time to go,ythink i better take care of grants needs tonight.......YAWN!!!!!!
nikki
Krisite glad you bought some nice clothes for yourself. Its so nice to posil yourself now and then. Great bargains also.
Nikki the renovation idea sounds great and you did a good job of your current house. We normally go to lakes entrance over the december, jan period and its really nice up there. we have been the last 2 years since having Jordan. I have no idea our plans this year as we are off to new zealand in sept and have no idea if we will be going away over xmas. I guess if we do it will be a last minute thing, depending on the finance situation.
Babyshower was good. It was nice to chill out without Jordan and also got me majorilly clucky, but I think I am always clucky :)
Just turned the heater up as its so cold tonight. I hate winter, bring back summer and the warm weather.
I've cut-and-paste'd this from the other thread cos I'm at work so limited typing time!
Re the chicken pox.
I rang creche this morning. Apparently the little boy had some spots on Wednesday, and was sent home that day, didn't come on Thursday as thats when it was confirmed as chicken pox.
It was his first day there. Poor thing.
So anyway this is good and bad news - bad because DS has been exposed so its wait and see (but he can still go to daycare) but good because he went to playgroup the day before, and 2 of the mums are pregnant. So at least they have not been exposed by him as the little boy never started until the next day.
So now I don't know what to do. Creche say its fine for him to come and he doesn't have to be excluded as we don't know whether he has it, and apparently he wouldn't be contagious anyway until minimum 11 days after exposure, which is around this weekend.
meanwhile playgroup is tomorrow, they have an excursion.
I don't want him to go because of the 2 pregnant mums and the fact he hasn't had the immunistaion yet, but my mum, who takes him reckons he should be able to go cos 'he might not even have it, if he does its still incubating and he won't be contagious'. TBH if creche don't exclude him I don't see why I have to exclude him form everything for 2-3 weeks for something he might or might not have, but I am far more worried about the 2 mums than the other kids.
Nikki - I hope the munchkins feel better soon
Racheal - If I'd been on here earlier I would have said to give it 2 weeks. You'll notice that he'll be out of sorts and then a fever and then a break out. It's a pity you haven't had his shots for it yet. I'd still check in, just in case it's still possible to have his vaccination for it. I hope the little guy doesn't get a bad case of it or none at all.
Melissa
Okay, I rang the doctors.
He said he may not have it at all, and that he would not be contagious yet if he does. He said if the pregnant mums have had chicken pox they will be fine, but I don't know whether they have, and have no contact info for them or the organiser :(
His immunisation is due on Saturday, which is also around when he would start to be contagious if he has it, so I don't really want to take him to the council immunisations now!
I think I am going to get them done tomorrow (we can get ours on tuesdays, thursdays or saturdays) and miss out on playgroup unless I can contact the pregnant mums.
I am happy to follow the 'he's not contagious yet' advice from my GP for kids, but not for the pregnant mums, I just couldn't live with that if anything happened.
Hi!
Nothing much happening - went to the gym this morning and did a cycle class - omg - I'm already sore! Did a bit of shopping - found a backseat driver for Louis - not sure if I'll put it in the car though as it's super noise...we'll see. Have to go back to Myer soon as they've got really nice long sleeve tops in a range of styles for only 9.95!! Made a yummy veggie lasagne for dinner - no wonder I'm not losing any weight even with all the exercise!
Nikki - Sorry the kids aren't too well. Geez poor harry having his cough back. That would be great if you could renovate a house and make some money on it!
About xmas - I'd really really love to but we just won't have the money to...we've already decided we won't be going on any decent holidays cos we're trying to pay off a few more debts (we still owe family about $10,000) before we can sell our unit and move! Depending on where you go we'd love to come down for a day trip though and visit!!
Tracey - it is freezing at the moment! So glad we've got ducted heating - I think I'd die without it now...I'm so jealous your going to NZ!!!
Rachael - You poor thing - what a drama! Sounds like a good idea to get him immunised though..I agree - I would worry about the p/g mums as well....
K - off to watch desperate housewives! Hope your all well! It's pretty quiet in here
Cindy - where are you??
Hi all just a quick note to say im still here just been sick the last few days.
Getting better and will bbl to do personals.
Hope you all ok
Does anyones else's kids like playschool?
Milo loves it so I looked up the website, and you can download the programs for the wwek, it has who the presenters are, what topics, stories, songs they will sing etc.
I thought it was pretty cool :)
Just letting you kknow i am still alive, just really busy with the visitors etc and a baby who doesnt like sleeping during the day!
I am thinking of having a bbq on the sunday 1st of July, does that work for people?
GTG! The little one is screaming and her uncle cant take it anymore i have just been told!
Love to you all!
Cindy, sounds good.
If Milo doesn't get chicken pox, we'll come :)
Hi!
Missy - sorry to hear you're sick - Glad your getting better.
Rachael - Yeah I saw that a while ago - even tells you how to do the crafts which I thought was good! Play school radio is good for songs as well...
Cindy - Sorry - we're heading up to the PIL that weekend...bugger. Yep - I know exactly what it's like having a bubba who wont' sleep through the day - and doesn't want to be awake so is just grizzly....grrr. Can be frustrating sometimes - especially when Louis wants something or has a poo or something! LOL! He's asleep in the corner of the couch now though...for how long I don't know. I left him on the couch for a minute this morning and then Louis yelled out "dylan" so I came in and Louis was jumping on the spot where I had put him - I ran over and he'd pulled him to the middle of the couch!!! So luckily he wasn't jumping on him but I still got a fright that he moved him like that. I just got a fright thinking he could have pushed him onto the floor or something...
Made scones this morning - am going to have them for aft tea with jam and cream - YUM!!!
Chat later!
Rachael, Sorry to hear you're in the chicken pox wait zone!? Poor lil Milo, I hope he is given the all clear. Seems very unfair if he has got it so close to the vaccination date. Thanks for the tips on the Play School website. Will have to check it out.
Kerrie, It's great to see you in here more often. Keep up the good work he ha! Was thinking about you over the weekend... Was trying to remember where you live? Is it on the edge of the blue mountains? If so, we were kind of in your neck of the woods (Wentworth Falls). Hope you are all well and that bub in tum is growing nicely. Congrats to your SIL on Rylie. Nice to have another bubba in your family.
Kristie, yummm your scones sound great, as does the veggie lasagne! Yummm think I'd like to be living in your house! Great to hear you're enjoying the gym so much. Glad to hear you had fun spending your birthday money. I love Rebel Sports to. BTW, Just noticed Dylan's new picture in your ticker. It is adorable. He looks very grown up for a 2month old! he ha.
Melissa - Isn't Benjamin a cheeky monkey getting to the vcr!! Our kids can't be trusted these days. I find any of my adult things (like the oven, hairdryer, computer etc) seem to be far more fun to Gus than toddler toys.
Missy, Hope you're feeling much better soon. I'm very envious of Callum's great eating habits. Might have to arrange a play date between our boys to see if Callum's eating skills can be shared with Gus!
Nikki, Sorry to hear the littlies are sick. Poor Harry with his cough. Hope he and Chantelle are feeling loads better soon. I hate winter and bugs! Your house renovation scheme sounds fab. Teaming up with family sounds like a clever way to do it. Would be great if you guys can make some money on it and go on from there!
Tracey, I'm so with you on the clucky front. Babyshowers are prime turf for those feelings me thinks! he ha. Great to hear Jordan's back to his old self.
Cindy, Nice to hear you're enjoying some some quality time with Tori. Must be so much harder nowadays to fit everything in. You seem to be doing a great job juggling it all. I think I'll have to take some advice from you (and our other lovely October mummy's with more than one) when it's my turn to be a mummy again about how to juggle it all. Tis easy for me to take being a mother of one for granted - but I sometimes (often!) can't fit in everything he ha! Tori must be growing up so much now she's a big sister. I am sure she loves her time with you alone as well as with her lil sis. Hope are enjoying your visitors.
Sorry I've meen MIA for a few days. We went up to the Blue Mountains for a little holiday (about 90mins from Sydney). Was soooo nice to get away. It rained almost the whole time we were away, but it was ok as we'd rented a house and had loads of things to do indoors. We introduced Gussy to hide and seek. The house was soo good for playing in as it had lots of rooms with great little nooks and crannies, curtains and cupboards to hide behind and inside. Was soo much fun. We are now back home and it's still raining. Took Gussy to his first puppet show today with our neighbour's 4year old grandson. Was loads of fun. The show was geared towards 2-5yo so was perfect for us. Will have to make it a regular monthly thing I think. They change their performance every couple of weeks so we won't get bored. Gus has to go into hospital tomorrow to have another MRI of his brain and spine under general anaesthetic. Not looking forward to it. We have to be at admissions at 6am and if all goes well well be home again tomorrow evening. The brain part of the test is to check on his hypothalamus. This is the part of the brain that sends messages for hunger and thirst. Gussy's hypothalamus is misshapen so there is some thought that his non-eating/non-drinking might be due to the hypothalamus malfunctioning. The spinal part of the MRI is to check whether there are any lingering neurological effects from his sacral sinuses. Fingers and toes crossed that all is good. We spend to much time in hospital as it is. :(
Thanks for the suggestions for what to do with our park bullyboy. We haven't been back for a few days, since we've been away. Will try out some of your suggestions when I'm next there.
Hi all well im feeling wonderful and been knitting. Yes that is right KNITTING...lol Just finnished Callums scarf and now going to start Melissa's.
Callum is getting so upset when I drop him off at day care on tuesdays now. I dont know why. He use to be great but now he is upset. Anyone know why this could be happening??
Rach Im sorry Milo could get chicken pox but if he does its better they get it younger then older I think. Callum likes playschool only the singing. He will watch it if there is singing but as soon as it stops he will walk away.
Cindy sorry bubs is crying and not sleeping during the day much. I hope all gets good soon for you and the baby.
Krisvee wow scones yummmy. I wish I could cook things like that. Im sh*t when it comes to cooking things like that. Give me 2 course meal any day and im the best but cakes, scones, deserts nooooooooooo i cant do...lol
Kirsty EW OMGOSH you poor thing. You must be so scared about gus going into hospital. Wow Ive been worried about Callum and his fontenal closing early and then I have to be reminded that there are other out there like yourself that might have more worse things happening in their lives. I really hope all goes well for you hun. Ill be thinking of you and if you have time when you get home can you let us know please. As for the moutains my Sister and Mother were up there from friday - sunday arvo. They try and go every year just the two of them. How funny if you sore them... They said it was so cold and friday was nice but then rain came the rest of the time.
Oh I hope all will be ok for you and Gus.
Good luck
Well better go
Hi to everyone else. Hope your all well!!!
Oh Kristy were in syd are you
cindy,i think we are free,we would love to come.
nikki
Hi!
Finally got Dylan settled...My brother & sil came over for dinner and we had pizza - so much for all my exercise - LOL!
Kirsty - Thanks! Sounds like you had a great time away. The hide and seek sounds like lots of fun!! Good luck tomorrow!!! I'll be thinking of you both!! Poor little Gussy....
Missy - Yeah on the knitting - how clever of you! Sorry to hear Callum is upset when you leave him at daycare..sorry no suggestions from me...hopefully it's just a stage...
K..off to bed! Sweet dreams everyone!
Nikki - the holiday sounds fun! DH has booked a house down the coast for a week in Jan (or Feb..I can't remember), and I think he is going to ask him mum if she wants to come too. He booked it in April.
Ooh and the investment/renovatting sounds good too. I wish I was a bit more handy and could do things like that.
Kirsty - good luck tomorrow!
Morning ladies
Well we were up early today. Callum woke crying his little eyes out at 6.30 which is early for him. I tried to put him in bed with us but nope he wanted breccy. Little piggy. He had 1 1/2 weetbix, toast, cheese and 4 slices of manderin. Oh then a bread stick. He didnt have much dinner last night so I think he was abit on the hungry side.
Krisvee I know im so proud of my self with the knitting...hehehe. Have done about 1/4 of Melissa's last night. Was up till 11 waiting for the bad weather to come that we were meant to get but didnt happen. Now its meant to be tonight.
Anyway hope all are well and thinking of little Gus today xxx
I hope no one has been blown away yet in this wild weather. It's at best getting to 11 degrees here and it freezing!
Missy - Benjamin used to cry, kick and cling onto me when I used to take him to daycare in the mornings. Now, he just hits the ground running, waves bye, blows me a kiss and expects me to leave straight away now. When Dh and I pick him up in the arvos, he runs to Dh and doesn't want anything really to do with me. They get over the separation, sometimes it just takes a little while.
Melissa
Oh Melissa thanks so much for that. I really get very teary when he carries on. Im such a sook...lol
Nope no wind yet as its meant to be tonight now. Wish they would make up there mind. I was up till 11 waiting last night so I guess I will again tonight.
Ray, I'm sorry you're having so much stress. I hope your lil boy is ok and doesn't have it.
