Hi guys, Sorry I've been AWOL. We've been having computer problems. We recently bought a new computer and printer and apparently there are teething probs with our set up. Stoopid us! Anyhoo we seem to be doing ok with it at the moment. he eh
Not much to report with us. Gussy is still refusing all food and drink etc. We are still tube feeding and offering food at appropriate meal times, which he just plays with, or completely rejects. He's still throwing up multiple times each day and suffering bad pains from reflux etc but in spite of this is managing to grow pretty well, for him. Must be all the food we stuff into him overnight while he's sleeping! Gus is now 76cm tall and 8.53kg. I am so proud of him. I know it's tiny compared with some of the other October toddlers (esp the boys), but he's ok. There are some advantages of being small. I can still wash him in the kitchen sink if needed (eg when he gets all muddy etc in the yard and I'm to lazy to give him a shower or bath) and I can carry him around on my hip when I'm shopping. This is especially handy in the supermarket. He refuses to stay in the trolley and can undo the seat belts and tries to climb out of the trolley. His absolute goal in the supermarket is to run wild and climb the shelves (literally)! Of course I don't allow it, but tis not easy. He's a climbing demon. I found him on the kitchen bench this morning. He just seems to be able to scale almost verticle walls. It is much scarier now than it used to be when he had his helmet to protect him. Not sure whether I've mentioned that he no longer has to wear his helmet... It's not because his head is now perfect, but because it was no longer working speedily enough to correct the areas that most need it. We are going to watch him for a while and see how his head develops without the helmet's help before we decide what to do next. Might be ok on it's own or he might need surgery. Now his hair is growing thicker it helps to disguise it. The helmet kind of worked like and exfoiliator so it will be interesting to see what happens with his hair growth and texture now he's not getting it rubbed constantly. he he. I've been using electric clippers and keeping his hair really short. Might think about growing it a bit to see whether he still has curls. :)
BTW, We are still keeping the pics etc on his totsite up to date, however we were getting spam coming through on the site, so we have made it password protected. Happy for you guys to have a look, if you're interested. P/w monkey. Feel free to post in our guestbook, if you feel like it. xx
I've missed heaps of your posts, so will now spend Gussy's sleep time catching up. BBL

Went swimming lessons today which was fun. It was nice to see how much he has changed in the water since I last took him swimming. He is still lazy and doesnt kick much but he is able to go on his own with his floaty pack and arms floaties. So proud of him.
We got home and had nuggets for lunch and he is now in bed. He was falling asleep which chewing on the nugget, very cute.
Krisite WOW getting bday pressies already, cant miss a bargain though. Great to hear all went well at the check up.
Cindy hope you are feeling better today. How is Tori and her shoes going?
Nikki glad you had a good time a school. I have every confidence in you that you will do great in the course. You are so incredicable to take this on with all the other stuff you have going on, house 4 kids and a husband. SUPER WOMEN i think!
Rachel How tall is Milo now? are the straps in the car seat getting too low? can you move them up another notch? Maybe you can move him to the full length booster seat?
Melissa great to hear Benajmin ate all his vegies. Hope that the end of the fussy stage.
Kerrie any news?
Kirsty SO nice to hear from you. Thats great news about the helmet, I bet Gus is relieved to have it off. LOL about carrying him around still and bathing in the sink. I cant remember what it was like to have a little light boy, Jordan has been heavy since forever:) Are they giving you things to try to encourage Gus's eating?
Well off to watch prison break which I missed last night. Take care XX

Hi!
Louis and Dylan went into creche this morning...Both did really well. Louis wasn't even fussed that I was gone which was good. Dylan was happy looking around..only dozed for about 10min...Still hopefully he's going to have a big sleep now!
Kirsty - Hi!! Glad you guys are going well. Wow on Gussy climbing so much!! Would definitley be keeping you on your toes! Hopefully he will do great without the helmet and not need the surgery!
Tracey - Yeah at Jordan doing great with swimming! LOL at him falling asleep at lunch!
Cindy - I'll see you tomorrow morning?? I'll get there as close to 10 as I can but I can see it more likely being 10.30am! hehehe.
-
Nikki I am not sure if you got my sms earlier but I had a thought..... did you want me to take Chantelle to dorothy dance party with me on tuesday while you are at school? I am happy to have her for the day if you didnt mind, or I can drop her at your child care centre afterwards? Let me know what you think. Its a shame for her to miss out.
Just watched show on alcatraz, what a scary prison. Off to bed now, I am knackered. Night night
-
Jirsty - sounds like you and my tori would be hell together with thier climbing! Its so scary when you walk into a room and they are on top of something!
Kristy- i will see you tomorrow10 - 10.30 ish.
I am really worried about how much to express to leave for charlotte! I left her with al today while i went back to the dentist and she drank the 200mls i had expressed and then screamed the house down for an hour till i got home and put her on the boob! I think that thats a bit excessive to drink that much do you guys? i have 3 bottles for mum to give her tomorrow , all with 150 in them and i am hoping they do the trick, atleat tomorrow is just a test run and i can go home if she needs me! I dont know what to do about it, i will have to see how she goes tomorrow and then work out what to do. I might have to not go back to work yet, maybe wait till she is 6 months and on solids and less feeds? Otherwise look at going the formula way! I dont have to go back to work financially although it would help out a bit but i rally like my job and miss my day of being me in business mode which is what i do best.
CHarlotte had her first shots today and has not let me put her down since untill now, so i must go get some rest while i can!
Tracey - i will be picking your brain monday about expressing etc, you seemed to be able to do it well and make it work for you guys! How nice of you to offer to take chantelle to dorothy.
NIGHT!!
Night all

tracey, thanks for your offer how lovely of you.i just found your sms now.not sure yet as i have corey home also and not sure what i am going to do with him.i might have to take the day off school anyway.if i do then i will get someone to have him just for the time that we go to dorothy show, have to discuss options with grant and see what we can come up with.

Agghhh I lost a really long post last night before I sent it. Not sure what happened. Will try to write again now.
Firstly a big big happy belated birthday to Nikki and Kristie!! :happybirthday: I hope you each had a great day!
Wow Nikki, I'm so excited for you re you starting your course. What a big achievement. You go girl! It sounds like a great idea to do this course so you can get a new job and hopefully be in control of your hours and hopefully enjoy your work while you're there. Hope you guys all have fun together on Monday at your BBQ. Sounds great.
Kristie, Great to hear you are settling into a new routine with your boys. So good to hear they went well at creche. It will be great knowing you can get some time out if/when you need it, hopefully on a semi-regular basis. Good on you for getting to the gym. I've been wondering how to exercise when there are more than one child on board. Already my little fella wants to walk rather than be pushed in a pram so fast walking is out for me most of the time. Good to hear you've come up with a solution. Just reading about Louis's talking. Three word sentences, wow! It must be lots more fun for your and DH to chat to him. Can't believe what a clever little boy Louis is. Keep up the great mummying! xx
Dani, A few weeks after Gussy's 18mth vaccination we received a letter from Centrelink/medicare/FAO saying the money had been paid into our bank account. I didn't do anything to notify them that we'd completed the vaccinations up to that point. Our gp must have notified them. BTW, Poor Jett with his bee-sting. Nasty bee! Great to hear his grommet surgery went well. He sounds like a very brave little boy!
Melissa, Hope Benjamin is feeling MUCH MUCH better. Wow, can't believe what a tall boy you have! Must be looking very much the little boy these days! Glad to hear he's back eating his veggies. What a good boy! I must confess to being envious of Benjamin's usual eating habbits. he he Wish he could show my boy a thing or two!
Tracey, Lovely to hear Jordan is enjoying playgroup and swimming lessons so much. I keep meaning to take Gussy to playgroup, but there just never seems a day free of dr appointments lately ggrrrr. We haven't been to hydrotherapy since he got his NG tube as the taping is not waterproof and it means the tube comes out so a new one needs to be passed back into his tummy. 30 mins in the pool is not worth the trauma to Gussy associated with a new tube. Might try again in a few weeks.
Julie, Hope your BFP comes soon. Big hugs. I'm actually thinking of joining you and Tracey on the TTC path. Actually thought I might have been this month as AF was three days late (and I'm normally like clockwork), but no such luck. AF is here! :(
Cindy, Hope your wound is healing nicely and that your stitches are ready to come out/ or are dissolving well. Re your expressing query, I found that I had the most milk when I woke up around dawn - kind of a bumper crop. Perhaps you can express after feeding Charlotte each morning. While you're not working you could either freeze it or offer it to her instead of the breast (maybe once a day at a time of the day when you would definitely be at work (ie a time when she'd definitely be bottle fed if you were at work) - to get a feel for what she's drinking etc). Just an idea.
Rachael, Hi! Hope Milo's cold is getting much better. Hope you and the girls have fun at Nikki's house on Monday. Fingers crossed for a warm sunny day for you all.
Kerrie, Great to hear from you. What's news with you and your gorgeous girls? I see from your ticker that your 3rd bubba conception zone is getting closer... how exciting!
Linda, Any news from you? How are you going with your pregnancy? Had a look at Emma's website today to see whether you've been able to add some new pics. Seems it's been a while. Tis a sign you are very busy methinks! Hope all is well.

Milo might have croup.
I had to ring nurse on call this morning, they didn't think it was cos he only had some of the symptoms (and ones that are hard to distinguish from a cold) but said to see how he is today and go to the doctors tomorrow morning.
Someone at his creche, in his room, had it which is why I'm not sure. I never known anyone to have it before, and people, including this woman said if he had croup he's be making really weird breathing noises, which he isn't, and I would know thats what it was, rather than be querying it.
So, I am taking him tomorrow to the GP and will decide after that whether we are still coming on Monday or not.

Hey girls, well we got a BFP so we are on the way to being a larger family *hehe* I am sooooo over the moon. God this month was a hard journey. I felt so different, I wanted to believe in what my body was telling me, but after the cyst making me feel pg for so long I didn't trust it. Then I started spotting, knew something was up (I never spot until the day before AF and I still had at least 6 days till AF). Bt made me crash right down as it came back with level of 2 (so -ve) and two days later, up pops some quite strong BFP's! Now today, HPT's are getting darker so we are UTD! Yay!!!!!! I was ready to leave BB for a while after the -ve BT, but then my temp jumped up and I was due in a day or two for AF and from previous charts, my temps just keeps dropping from 9dpo if I'm not pg.
Anyway, sorry to keep rambling. But I am quite excited! Now everyone needs to throw me blue vibes *LMAO*. Nah, I'd love a girl too.
Kirsty, I hope you get your BFP soon honey. After all you have been thru, you deserve it!
To everyone else, I hope things are going well. Thank you all so much for keeping me in your thoughts. I try to pop in to keep up But gosh this thread moves fast *LOL*. Besides which placenta brain is back with avengance

Oh Rachael, poor little Milo. I hope he's feeling loads better soon and that it is just a cold. Gussy had croup earlier this year. He started out with symptoms of a particularly nasty cold - runny nose/sneezing, sore throat, fever (40degree temps on panadol) and general grumpy boy stuff. They he started coughing, but it wasn't a normal sounding cough. It was more of a barking, harsh sound that seemed to really take the wind out of him. He got a really hoarse voice and even lost his voice for a couple of days. The thing I really remember as the stand out symptoms was the cough and particularly noisy breathing when he was inhaling. All his symptoms were best in the middle of the day but got much worse overnight and first thing in the morning. Gus's croup was part of parainfluenza 3 which is a particularly nasty flu so he had a week or so in hospital with it. He was a really sick little boy for the best part of January from it. It may have hit him extra hard because he's got weaker lungs and a less effective immune system than the average bunny due to his premmie issues.
Kerrie, BIG BIG BIG congratulations. I am sooooo happy for you. Sending you loads of sticky baby dust in shades of blue. he ha. Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy. Yipppeeeeee for you, DH and the girls!

Hi!
Cindy - Had a great day today! Pity you had to go so early!! Hope everything was ok when you go to your mums! The kids loved that merry go round!! hehehe. Dylan went to sleep after you left so I got to have a run around with Louis which was great! Then he pooed his nappy so we left around 12 ish anyway...went to Harris scarfe but the lines were that long I didn't really bother...
I'm sure you'll work out what the right thing is to do with work/Charlottes feeding...Maybe just give it a week until she's gone through this growth spurt and you may have a better idea of what she needs...
Kirsty - Thanks! Yeah, it's great for sanity break to go to the gym - I find I'm really looking forward to it which is great! Now I just have to stop eating so much rubbish and I might lose my p/g weight...hehehe.
Rachael - Trust me - you'll know if it's croup!! They really struggle to breathe - it's very very scary! Louis always just has cold symptoms and then it usually comes on after he's gone to sleep at night. I find the vaporiser helps heaps and this time round I gave him some dimetapp medicine. Although I also have special steroid medicine in the fridge in case he gets it really bad. If you can see their chest sinking in with every breath it's basically time to call the ambulance....Like Kirsty said it's a real barky type cough - very distinct....I don't think you can catch croup - I think it's more a development from a cold or flu iykwim??
Kerrie - CONGRATULATIONS!!! Thats fantastic!!!! How exciting for you and your family!
Nikki - Can't wait for Monday - will be great to get everyone together! Just let me know if there's anything extra you need! I'm out that way for a baby shower tomorrow as well!
Dh is spending the night out tonight....I hate it knowing he's not here for back up! Especially as he's going to be drunk out in the city. geez he better do a night feed for me this weekend - he's even got Tuesday off so maybe even 2 nights! LOL! Although I don't know how my bobbs would go missing that feed!
Better go...catch up later...
-
Kerrie -congrats!!! I was wondering who would be the next in our little group in here?!
Kirsty - thanks for your input onthe expressing, imtrying not to stress about it, i will only be working one day a week and she went well with mum today and taking the bottles, ihad 3 bottles with 150mls in each and over the space of the day (she snacked all day mum said) she drank 2and a half of them andi fed her once too! She is a guts!
Kristie- so sorry about today, its typical though i got to mums and charlotte was playing happily and renee had bee ntended too but it was good timing anyway cos one of my friends had dropped over there to pick something up for her mum from mine so we got to have a good catch up without our kids to chase for a change.Tori was knackered too, she fell asleep in the car and slept untill 3! Obviously she was in need of that!
We are having probs with charlotte taking to people at the moment, she is overly atached to me unfortuantely and she absolutely sscreams when she is with al which is really hard on him! I am going to ask the helth nurse on tuesdays appt about it! SHe if she has any ideas to help out with this one or if there is a daddy day clinic somewhere that they could go to to learn how to get along! Anyone heard of anything like that before??
WEll i am buggered now and must hit the sack as the saying goes! My girls are finally asleep so it looks like its my time now!
-
Cindy I am glad to see that Charlotte took the EBMs well. Thats a load off your mind. I am happy to talk all about expressing I did it for so long I felt like a pro in the end :) I hope Charlotte and Al can get past this stage. Jordan went thru this also and grew out of it. Hows my little shoe girl? Cant wait to see you all on monday.
Krisite hope you had a nice night, even though DH was out. Hope you got a good sleep. Good idea about getting Michael to do some nights feed to make up for going out. I think its a great compromise.
Kerrie again congratulations. You didnt hang aroung the TTV thread very long. Sending you lots of BOY vibes. :)
Nikki change of plans for monday, it will just be Jordan and I as Jamie has to work. Its double pay so he couldnt say no and they have just made him permanent so we didnt want to seem ungrateful. Let me know about Tuesday as I am more than happy to have Chantelle for the morning or day whatever is easier for you.
Rachel I hope Milo feels better soon and that it isnt croup. Take care
Kirstie Gee you seen to have been thru so much with Gus in such a short time, you are certainly a supermum. Hats off to you!!!!
Missy I hope you are doing well.
Well I actually stayed at work for the entire 5 hours that I was rostered today GO ME! Just got home and DH has bought all this food for his dads 50th surprise bday party, we are having it at our house. There is SO no room for everything so we are doing major food throw out and clean up.
I have been feeling a little odd in the tummy yesterday and today, so possible could be O. Last BD in wednesday so will get some in this weekend and hope for the best.
Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine today, lets hope it lasts long enough to dry the loads of washing I have to do (so boring)
Take careXX
-
Tracey, I still pop into the TTC thread and check how everyone is going. I still have my fingers crossed for all of you.....
-
I have had a day of house work nd am feeling raher domesticated! My house is looking a bit better, i draw the line at the bathrooms though, am going to pay my sister to do them some time next week! She is a clean nut and needs the money so it works well for all involved!
Charlotte has been much better today, she had bee sleeping most of it and us 3 girls all fell asleep on the counch watching the wiggles this arvo which was really nice. I love my cuddles with tori, i get them so seldom now i seem to have charlotte with me so much! Tori has started calling her chacha so i am thinking that will probably end up being her nick name!
OH, charlotte even slept through for me last night well, from 11 - 7!! My boobd were ready to explode though.
Tracey - i will definatety pick your brain on the expressing on monday! I bet you became the expert you did it for so long. Thats great jamie gets double pay, it all helps out doesnt it! Its a pitty he wont get to see everyone though.
WEll, i must get tea ready while the troups are sleeping yet again!
I am so looking forward to monday! I just love you girls and the fact that we can actually catch up in person too! (to those of you in here that cant, if you are ever in town, let us know, we are always up for a catch up!)
Nikki - did you want me to ask nikki to bring anything?
