Hi Pam, nah I'm not worried about her weight, she is just a big girl, if your saw her daddy you'd understand, lol. The wake ups aren't always about food, sometimes she doesn't want a feed at all. I don't mind the night feeds, it's the inbetween waking that gets hard.
 I will be thinking 'hot spots' for you. Will you be able to feed Poppy again after treatment?
-
Morning girls.. someone pleeeease save me from killing the idiots over the road, they are wizzing around on pocket bikes making a hell of a noise..
I can't complain if Bella wakes though, she slept last night from 8pm til 4.30 this morning, had a slurp boob and went to sleep then woke at 8.30am had a slurp and a change and is still asleep. Makes up for the night before , I had to pick ds up from a halloween party at midnight and it disturbed her sleep so she screamed for 2 hrs.
Had her weighed on friday and she is now 4.5kg;s and has grown 7cm since birth - yay, she is still a wee one though and probably weighs what most babies weigh at birth.
Pam - oooher luv, I am praying all is ok and you get good news about the lumps. Ummm sling is good, back is not. I am in agony today, so will have to try and limit the time she is in there me thinks.
captain - lol about our DH's, mine so proudly offered to do dinner the other night, RED ROOSTER - I am so sick of take out. I am ordering a stack of lite and easy dinners today so I at least get a decent feed.
Hi to all, hope you are going well and getting heaps of rest. Take care xx

Hi Ladies,
Sorry I can't do personals, I've only just got the computer working again and I have so much to do in preparation for the wedding. 2 weeks today! ARGH!
Seven had a crap night last night, was awake from 11-2.15am. I was in bed trying to sleep while DF had a go at settling her. I blew up at him yesterday, while he was at work no less! I had had it with being the only person that ever did anything for Seven. I told him I felt like a single parent, and yes, it hurt him, but he seemed a little more switched on when it came to dealing with Muffin last night, so heres hoping!
I think we had a bad night because we strayed from 'The Routine', so back to it tonight!
I also think she is about to discover her hands! She has been watching her right hand this morning and trying ever so hard to get it in her mouth! Succeeded mostly with whopping herself in the eye or the nose, but she's trying!
She had another play date with her friend Hala, who is 4 1/2 months old, and it is uncanny how alike both the girls are!
Anyhoo, Pam ~ I wish you all the best with that lump issue.
Everyone else, loves & hugs to you all!
-
aaawwww Kell, hugs matey. Hope you can get the routine back on track and get some sleep. wow, the wedding is so close, I can't wait to see pic's.
The stupid bikes have stopped now, I am sure that they will start up again as soon as I put Bella down.
-
Yay, things have improved dramatically here. Ashlyn slept for 6hours last night.
Turns out I was putting her to bed to late. By 8 o'clock she was past it, so I've moved the whole bed time routine forward and had her in be by 7 and she went straight down without a fuss. (Until the dog barked, but then just a quick cuddle and she went right back.) So if this continues I'll have some time to relax in the evenings.
Ashlyn also had her first laugh on Saturday. Ever since then she does nothing but smile, she's such a happy baby now that she's sleeping better.
Kell, Hope your DH stays a bit more switched on now and helps out. That's so cute that Seven is finding her hands. It's so amazing watching them learn something new every day.
Sue, Lite and easy sounds like a good idea. I'm sick of takeaway too. Danielle was at her grandmas on the weekend and I couldn't be bothered cooking so we ended up with pizza .
Well, sounds like Danielle is awake (the girls like to tag team, Ashlyn goes down, Danielle gets up) so it's time for breakfast!

Hi girls,
Been tested now the waiting game, Wednesday is the big day. Poor baby girl is so miserable, I can't even hold her at the moment, it's all dad and she is really out of sorts, so sad!!!! I have had a few cries myself out in sympathy with her....and she has had hardly any sleep, hopefully it means that tonight she willsleep through and DH won't have to worry about getting her back to sleep after the 3.00am feed.
Yesterday we went to the beach for a relaxing day out (kind of) we found out Poppy won't sleep in the pram for more than 15 mins at a time, she is so used to being wrapped up or in the pouch, so pram is in the car and we will be taking that out more often to get her used to it, way to hot to carry her for much longer and she is getting very heavy!!! Upside was that lack of sleep through the day meanta 8.30pm bedtime and a wake up of 5.15am:clap:
Captain, tag team lol, sometimes I am sure it would be lovely if they slept at the same time. Cute that Ashlyn is beginning to laugh, Poppy has started to smile lots and has tried to laugh, but can't quite get it out, can't wait to hear it.... The smile is cute enough it's a bit lopsided and she winks as she does it.
Thanks for the support I am hoping that I will still have some milk left and she will be willing to feed.
Kell, 2 weeks:doh:yikes the pressure must be really on, no wonder you are feeling so alone just the stress of organizing everything, without a new baby. I bet you feel heaps better after it's happened.
Sue, lite an easy sounds good, I did it after Sophie was born and lost all my weight, was a bit over it by that time and that was 6 weeks. Really enjoyed the first few weeks. I am sick of takeaway, the only thing is still have to cook for the rest of the family!!!!Damn the motorbikes, we are really lucky and don't have much action around here.:shhh:
Where are the rest of you girls???? Hope all is well, ;)to you all and kisses to babies..

Hi,
I'm still here jus been really busy. My aunty is over from adelaide and is being a huge help cause Dh is away. kind of like the mother i wish i had.
We are going ok Emily has been a bit unsettled so I think she is having a growth spurt.
I have just had a blocked duct which wasn't much fun. I felt really feverish and awful!
Sorry have to go. Will BBL!
-
Pam, wishing you the best for today. Hope all goes well.
Eej, blocked duct sounds awful. Hope your feeling better.
Not to much going on here. Ashlyn is improving with her sleeps and has been going 6 hrs every night except for last night when I decided to go to bed early when she did, lol. We got to see the photos we had taken and they are really good. It's a bit pricey but they've done a great job. There's a really cute one of Ashlyn that will be pair with close ups of her hands and feet, and a really nice family shot. Can't wait to get them and hang them up.
Hope everyone is doing well!

Hi girls, just a me update and it's good news!!!:leap::confetti::leap:
test result back in... No thyroid cancer!! I thought and hoped after my brother and aunty that surely one family could'nt be so unlucky. Turns out part of my thyroid is underactive so this nodule is compensating and producing too much hormone, so off to see an Endocronologist in Feb (darn the long wait)to see how they are going to shrink it or remove it???? At the mom it is pushing on my windpipe and making swollowing difficult, fingers crossed it does'nt grow too much more between now and then.
Big thanks for the support, tah Captain;)
-
Woohoo!! So pleased for you, Pam! That is indeed great news!   Hope too that the nodule doesn't grow any further, sounds painful.
Sorry I haven't been on to post properly - my mother left last Friday and is now back in Hong Kong. A very sad day. Lots of tears. And it's taken me some time to get used to being on my own with Matthew. I miss having another pair of hands in the house but most of all I miss having my mum to talk to. :(
Matthew's father finally finally finally came to visit yesterday. Only one night though. But it was SO good for us all to be together. More tears today when he left.
There seems to be so little time to get the basic things done. How does everyone do it? I'm just so glad I had Mum here to help for Matthew's first six weeks. Anyway, must go wash up some baby bottles. Love to everyone.
-
Yay Pam!!:hooray: Fantastic news. Sounds painful though, hope it doesn't get bigger before Feb.
Kerry, So good that Matthew got to see his father. It is hard to get things done isn't? I'm trying not to worry about the fact that my house looks like a bomb hit, otherwise I'll go insane.
Me, I finally snapped last night. After a couple of good nights, we were back to waking constantly. I went through the whole bedtime routine and had her solidly asleep just after 7pm. I was looking forward to being able to tidy the house a little and then watch some TV. Right up until the dog bark right next to Ashlyn and woke her up. So not only was she awake, she was really upset and it took another hour just to calm her down. I think I was crying as much as Ashlyn was.
So now I'm off to do last nights dinner dishes and to try and wash some clothes before we run out.
-
Rotten dogs barking!! Big hugs, Captain. Getting bub to sleep can be so painstaking, it really is upsetting when something like that happens. I'd spent an hour patting Matthew to sleep this evening and was walking to the bedroom with him when the phone rang, just as we were walking by it. :wall:
Any advice for cracked nipples and expressiing/breast feeding? My right nipple has a longish, deep crack and I'm worried it might start bleeding soon when I'm pumping. Ouchies.
-
Have you tried Lansinoh? Worked for me when I had cracked nipples and they were bleeding. Poor Ashlyn had a mouthful of blood.

Hey girls...
I have been so busy since my son was born.. I havent been able to come say hello. hopefully now ill be able to be a regular in this thread..
Cooper was born on the 10th september at 6:03pm, 10lb13oz (4.9kg)
He is now 2 months 3 days old... he weighed 6.4kg at 7 weeks.
I am BF and FF as I havent ever been able to produce enough milk for him, I was going crazy BF him solely as he would feed for 2hrs or so and then an hour later want more! I was constantly feeding him and felt like .. .well.. a "Cow"...
I decided that it was best for both of us that I feed 30mins on each breast and then top with a bottle..
He is a gorgeous boy! He has been trying to roll over for 3 weeks and now just wont stop yabbering... talk talk talk!!
Even in the middle of a BF he will stop and smile and me and goo and gaa.. so cute!
He is basically sleeping through the night already.. has a feed around 11pm and sleeps till at least 5 am.. sometimes even 7 or 8am.. He is such a good boy!!
I will slowly catch up on everyones news and new babies and hopefully be able to start doing personals as the days go on.
Love to all and cuddles to bubs!!

Just a quickie girls, I know I always say that, but you all know how it is... I have my BAS to get sorted and lodged by Monday - eeeeeekkkkkkkkk. Bella seems to be getting into a better evening routine now and I am getting things done, thus making me less crankier.
I picked up my gorgeous new car on Friday, but will now have to panick with each storm that comes by until I get my garage built.
Still haven't had our immunisations yet but have been pestered by DF to get them done so I think I am stuck on this one..
Pam - that is fantastic news darl, I am so pleased. Bet little poppy is glad to have some cuddle time with you again.
Kerry - awsome that Mathew got to meet his daddy, I can only bet that he is as smitten with the little guy as you are. Yep, definately a struggle being a single parent. I am ever so greatful when my DD13 is here as she is a great help to me.
Captain - mmmm, know what u mean about dogs barking, the stinkin thing next door barks every time I go to the washing line so I now hang stuff out on the patio on a clothes horse just so Bella doesn't get woken up.
Banx - great to hear from u mate. I'm sure in a few months time when our little treasures are a bit more easily amused we will be able to catch up more.
Hi all, gotta run but hope u are all going well...
Kelli - best of luck huni with the wedding looming. xx
-
Pam that is wonderful news about your test results. I am so happy for you
eej: Hoping you are feeling better and the blocked duct has gone away.
Captain. I hear you on the barking dogs. We have them on both sides of our house. M now sleeps through the little yappers but not the big dogs on the other side.
Life is so busy here at the moment with no signs of things letting up. Mum has nearly finished her cancer treatment so we have been taking her in and out to the hospital. She finished her chemo and radiotherapy the other week and has been staying with us. She has 2 more day surgery procedures on Friday and Monday next week then she can finally go home. Last weekend I took Mum home to visit my dad. She was so happy. She hasn't been home in nearly 5 weeks.
My dad finally got to meet Molly and he was wrapt. He wouldn't put her down and kept taking her off for walks in the pram. We went and had a picnic in the park. I was meant to go meet my friend afterwards and my dad took off with Molly in the pram when I was trying to leave. It was funny to watch.
Molly is heading off to have her first lot of immunisations tomorrow which should be an experience. My mum is coming with us. Molly also has to visit the health nurse tomorrow before her injections. It will be interesting to see how much weight she has put on. I hope I get the nice nurse tomorrow.
Molly is growing like the proverbial weed and is starting to "talk" more making the most cute cooing and gurgling noises. She smiles heaps but it is still hard to get pictures of it. DH still doesn't think they are smiles and is so thick when I tell him that her eyes light up when she smiles, that's how you tell its not gas.
Breastfeeding.... now there is something that I really don't enjoy. I am more than considering stopping it. It is currently making me miserable. You all know our ongoing issues with it. The other week we finally had good attachment but Molly has starting chomping down on my nipples while feeding and they are red, sore and cracked again. She stops sucking and then chomps down hard. It just feels like it is one thing after another with it and I am at the end of my tether over it. I know that you should try and do it as long as you can but 10 weeks is more than I thought I would do and like i said it is totally making me miserable. Any thoughts?
Anyhow I had better go because I have to go pick up my mum from the hospital after her treatment today and I have to get Miss Molly ready.

I just received this PM from Nae Nae and she wanted me to share it with you all!
Hi All,
I tried to find the old group but cannot even find the old places to post its been so long since I have been in here.
Not too much happening from my end just busying myself with work and renovations etc.
We're doing well considering but are looking forward to putting this year behind us. Still waiting on the plaques and spose I should ring the funeral home about it but just can't bring myself to calling.
Anyways I hope you are all well, I wanted to touch base and let you all know that I think of you all frequently even though I have kind of lost contact you're always close to my heart.
Let me know if you have started a group somewhere, would love to pop in from time to time and check out what mummyhood is like for you all - and besides you guys will be the first lot of people I want to tell when we start trying again and get our next BFP.
I will PM her with the link to our thread so she can catch up with us all!
I have also now posted pics of Sevens Baptism and my Hens Night.
