Oh what an awful day I had... AF is extrememly heavy, no make that just gushing out. I have never ever had such a period like it. I was going through a tampon and a pad every half hour. The worst day of all to be like this too, I had to go to DS's xmas concert. Poor thing, I ended up leaving early and thank the lord I was wearing navy blue pants - not pretty.
Kerry - U go girl, 20kgs that's so excellent. What a great weight gain Mathew had. We are northside brissie at Kallangur - so not impressed with being hit again.
iserveanawsomeGod - Bella began to get really fussy at the boob during the day but loved it at night so we ended up with formula feeding during the day and boobing at night - it's working great for us. We also had the issue of having to feed on the run so I am sure that didn't help us either.
Donna - eeeeek, AF 3 times, oh man, I hope that don't happen to me. I've had enough of it already.
captain - eeeewwwwweeee, that's gross. I am so lucky that Bella's poos are firm and most of the time she gives me plenty of warning. I can usually get her to poop on a bum wipe because I need to hold her up and let her legs push down on me. pooping is a little distressing for her, don't know why. I should hold her over the loo when she goes so she gets used to it.
nat - Hope yr little one's are on the mend. mmm, suzie maroney, I would say that the weight loss is a bit a revenge act because she was just devastated that her DH left her.
missymoo - I can send AF your way if you like LOL.
-
No thanks Sue!
Well Ashton is dribbling like there is no tomorrow!! He has discovered how tasty his hand is ALL DAY. He is also playing with his toys now too! He really grabs them and shakes hehe its so cute!
Weighed him today... 8.5kg clothed and he is 69cm long!! Geez he is growing!!

You ladies are so going to gigle at my baby sitting experience:
Poor little Bella has been so sick and Mum and Dad went through everything with Danni and I, we had to practically usher them out of the house and assure them that IF Bella was really distressed or seemed to be burning up or something we would call them straight away. They said they'd be home by 9 - we just told them to take their time, not too rush and again assure them IF there were any problems we would call them.
BTW Boss was so taken back by what we did we thought he was going to loose it he got quite emotional and his wife wsa a bit shocked too.
SO they nervously left and we made extra careful that Bella didn't notice (she is sick so very clingy to mum and grissly) so we fed her, changed her played with her but she decided to pick ME out of the two of us, a bit like a cat really you know how they just choose someone? anyway Bella chose me the person with the least baby experience.
Her nappy change was funny thankfully just wet and so here i was with the nappy and stuff and i just go what the hell am I doing? Danni said haven't you ever changes a baby before - Uh no - so she talked me through it and Bella was crying and wriggling (apparently she hates nappy changes atm) she wasn't even dressed and was doing the UP thing with her hands and Danni was say she wants up and I am like No Bella not until your dressed.
fastt forward to a bit later she gets grissly and doesn't want Danni around her she wants up on me so I pick her up and do the bouncy thing and rub her back and she snuggles her head into my neck and is happy like this for an hour.
Mind you its WAY past her bed time. She then gets grissly again and we cannot figure out what is wrong and as she is teathing Sam said sometimes she just gives her some Neurfen (sp?) so we give her her dose and after a while she settles.
OK bed time - she crys and crys so we are like "we'll leave her for 5 min if she is still crying we'll get her and bring her back out" seriously 30 seconds later Bella was out with the big girls again
Anyway we are all on the floor around her play rug and we make a little nest out of pillows and we're watching this movie and you could see Bella is really fighting to not go to sleep.
After a while we are lying down and Bella just kept looking around at me so I kind of pushed (not hard) her over on to her side facing me, gave her her teddy and lay down next to her with my head near hers. she put her chubby little hand out so she was kinda touching me and fell asleep. 9.15 pm
Mum and dad come home :shhh: and crack up coz it looks like Bella's first slumber party, they look so relaxed and mum puts bella to bed.
I hope they got a good nights sleep - I know I did I was stuffed.
So my first baby sitting with a sick baby wasn't too bad it has really reinforced how much I want to be a mummy just looking at Bella sleeping next to me with her little hand touching mine was so lovely and listening to her breathing even though she is really congested was just sweet.
 please please let 2009 be my year
NNx x x
Sorry for lack or personals will be back later
-
Oh Nae it will be your year for sure!!!! It sounds like you did a great job with Bella. I find changing other kids nappies hard. I had my gf's 2 and 3 year olds here yest and the 2 year old did a massive poo...like a grown ups...that came out of his nappy and he wouldn't keep still and it went everywhere. It was gross. I much prefer changing emily!
Bell obviously picked up on your mother vibe and warmed to you..very cute.
-
Nae, I hope with all my heart that 2009 is your year too. What a lovely slumber party you had! :)
Missymoo - hello! What a big boy you have! How tall are you and his Dad? I'm just hoping that my Matthew will be tall like his Dad and not a shorty like me!
Sue, you poor thing with such a heavy AF. Sounds horrid. Hope it eases soon. Wow at the poo stories. Matthew's still producing liquid poos. Can't scrape them into the toilet, they soak into the nappies. And his clothes sometimes if there's been a pooplosion! My milk supply grew pretty quickly because he was demanding to be fed often and stayed on the breast for ages! I've started watching daytime tv because of the breastfeeding - rediscovering Desperate Housewives...
iserveanawesomeGod, oh no at going all over the carpet! Matthew has had a few well aimed fountain wees that have made it onto the carpet. He always looks really happy with himself after a good irrigation!
Indie, I haven't put Matthew in his bassinet for a week now. He's too big to swaddle and his arms touching the sides of the cane bassinet wake him. I've been trying to put him into his cot during the day but at night he sleeps with me.
Captain, sounds like a messy job! And very funny!
NatB, thanks :p I was the size of a school bus though by the time I gave birth to Matthew . I think a lot of it was fluid too. It's nice to see the knuckles on my hands. But while the swelling's gone down in my feet quite a lot, they're still a size bigger than they were. I'm going to have to go shoe shopping! How are Belle and Emme now? Matthew's also a very noisy breather. I aspirate the mucus from his nose when I see it but I tend not to put the saline drops down his nose any more. He screams at it and it makes him so distressed. Emme sounds like she's doing very well! Matthew's not rolling yet. I'll miss being able to leave him for five minutes on the change table, kicking his legs and gurgling at his mobile when he does start rolling. How come your ex-MIL made a face at Emmerson's name? It's a very pretty name, I think. Hope Bella's temperature's come down. Poor little mite!
Candy Jay, well done on signing up at the gym. You'll be feeling a million dollars getting all that exercise and shifting the weight. Lovely :)

HI all, so sorry i have not been on lately.
Blake has had rota virus, nathan hasn't caught it thank god.
We just had blakes 2nd birthday party today! he had a ball, bought him a jumping castle (thanks kevin ruddy) and it was the best thing since sliced bread!
Naths stats at the moment.... 6.7 kilos and not sure how long.
Any other mums with slower weight gain babies?
-
Hey Kerry :) I am about 5ft9 and his dad is around the 6 mark so not short lol
mummatotwo I hope that Blake gets better soon!! Sending lots of healing vibes. Rotavirus is a nasty one!! Ash just got immunised against it so I hope he never gets it :( My nephew had it when he was a few months old and ended up in hospital.
-
Hope Blake is fully recovered now, Mummatotwo! Must have been frightening. Lucky Nathan didn't catch it too. The birthday party sounded fun - love the idea of the jumping castle. Matthew has been putting on less weight now that I'm only breastfeeding. I'm keeping a close eye on his weight gain each week.
Missymoo, I'm only 5ft1. But there's a few of us shorties here! Your boy will no doubt be a tall fellow with your genes! He must be well above the 90th percentile for length and weight! :)
-
lol yes he is just over the 100th % for legnth and at about 105th for weight haha
-
I just checked again lol he's more than that hahahaha
69cm long and 8.5 kg at 3 months  At least his weight is less than his height in the % so he's not 'fat'
-
Good morning!!
And yes it is a very good morning here. Ashlyn only woke once last night. I feel fantastic with the best nights sleep in 3months!!! I've already been out and had a training session in our gym. :D
MissyMoo, He's definately a good sized bub. :D Ashlyn is over the top of the chart for weight but only the 50th percentile for height. I don't think she's fat, she's just really stocky. But then DH is just over 6' tall and about as wide at the shoulders, so she's really taking after him. (The shoulders is the reason I had a c/section)
Mummatotwo, glad Blakes getting better. That must have been horrible to go through. Sounds like her had a great birthday though.
Kerry, well done on the bf. Day time TV can suck so we have a nice supply of DVD's for bf. Though atm Danielle is in love with Santa Claus, so we watch a bit of him, lol.
Sue, that sucks that you've got AF already. No sign of it here thankfully. Last time I had it after six weeks, so I'm hopeful it stays away for a while this time.
Eej, that sounds yuck, toddler poos are the worst:p It's so much easier when they're bubs.
Nae, sounds like you had a fun night. Slumber party sounds sooo cute!
Lol, I saw the poo photo :o. Hope you can get it out of the carpet. What's secondary lactose intolerance?
Well I'd better go. The guys have just shown up to put the patio in and the dog has woken the girls. I can't believe they have both slept this long! (It's 7am)
-
Captain that is so cute! Chubba bubbas rock! I love mine :) (i hope you don't think i was calling your baby fat!)
Mine slept until 8am!! They are usually up at 6.30 so maybe it's something in the air lol
-
I think cause it's really overcast their bedrooms were still dark. It fooled them into thinking it was still night:lol:
-
Morning ladies,
All the talk of AF has jinxed me, it came back yesterday exactly 1 year later ... now best be careful not to fall PG. Nichambar, hope yours settles down soon.
Captain, haha gross about the poo but every baby has to do it at least once to their parents. My first DD did it in the bath when she was a baby ohh my it took forever to clean it out.
Missymoo, what a wonderfully big bubba, I love babies that are so huggable as you know they grow out of it so quickly.
Mumma, hope Blake is getting better.
Nae, sounds like you did a wonderful job babysitting, what a wonderful thing you did for your boss... I'm sure it will be your year.
Iserve, you've done a wonderful job BF feeding Liberty, don't be down on yourself if you have to give it up as you gave her the best start. I've never been able to BF as my bubs can't latch on but I perservered with EBM as long as I can & my eldest is one of the healthiest kids I know so I know the 3 months she got was very beneficial.
I think Madeleine is 6 1/2 kg's, shes slowed right down in her eating since coming onto the formula for some reason. I don't see my CHN until next week so should be interesting to see if she has grown much. My DD1 is a small child for her age regardless of my DH & I being tall, seems as though our kids take after his small sisters & mother.
I tried to put Madeleine to sleep in her own cot last night, she woke up after 30 minutes looked around & completely freaked out... she ended up sleeping in her bassinette again for the night, DH doesn't want her out of our room yet he gets worried so he was happy she cried  I will try again tonight & the next night... I've managed to get her to go to sleep awake so I'm sure I can get her use to her cot through the night.
Well I better go, between the gym & baby I never do any housework these days... better pick my socks up & fold the loads of washing baskets before my laundry explodes

Hi All
my poor little girl has chicken pox all over her, feel awful for her she is very cross this morning and i have lots to do have to go out and sort bank stuff out , get a new phone i dropped mine in a sink lol.

have a great day every one
-
I don't think 4 kids is too many at all!! I want 6! i know what you mean about it being final though.
Your poor little miss!! I hope they clear up soon!! Just gone around down here, I stayed home and hid!! The big boys are immunised but Ashton isn't.
Well Ashton is sucking and biting all his toys. I hope he doesn't break teeth and is just enjoying the taste lol He really loves to play with his toys now which is SO nice! I can put him on his playmat and he really gets into it :)
-
well we've started a baby-led routine and its working really well. i just let her do her own thing for a few days, wrote it down and then stuck with it and it's been going ok so far. Liberty wakes up 7/7:30, first sleep for 40 minutes at 9. second sleep at 11/11:30 for 2-4 hours. if she sleeps less then 3 hours she has another sleep at 4/4:15. and she's in bed by 7/7:30. she still wakes up at least twice a night though for a feed and she's been a lot hungrier lately and taking a lot longer to feed which is making me a little sleepy!!
Niamh75 - about "the snip", a lot of people regret it when they have it done. my father-in-law talked about his the other day (GROSS GROSS GROSS) out of the blue, it was a very random and strange conversation, and saying that they wanted more kiddies a few years afterwards (they already had 4, well technically 5 but their first was adopted out) and that they regretted it. i was thinking abt it though after next bubby. i originally wanted 4 but to be honest i dont think i'm selfless enough to have that many.
candyjay - sounds like madeline is a daddy's girl!!
captain - the carpet is still stained orange!! oh well. it'll probably come out when we have the carpets cleaned when our lease ends. secondary lactose intolerance is pretty much just lactose intolerance but they say that its very rare for a baby to be born with true lactose intolerance (that would be primary lactose intolerance) so secondary is where its only temporary and u get it after gastro or something. liberty had diarea after her immunisation needle and that caused it as it damaged the enzymes that are needed to break down the lactase or something and so that's why it hurts her to have breastmilk. but apparently u can breastfeed still if u alternate with a lactose-free formula so thats what we're doing. she does have some moments where she doesn't want booby though :( my boobs were all crazy for a few days getting used to not breastfeeding as much and going all lumpy and stupid. its getting better now though.
-
OMG! Ashton cried and whinged ALL day! The only time he was quiet was when he was on the boob! He barely slept, WOULDN'T sleep, he usually sleeps in 3 hour blocks during the day!
I ended up giving him panadol at 10.30, an HOUR past his normal bed time, and he fell asleep :( I didn't know what else to do :(:(
