Niamh what about the gastolites you get from the chemist?????Just to help with the minerals he has lost. I remember the doc telling me as long as they are getting enough fluids to let them eat if they want to!!! Can be a bit messy though if it keeps coming back up.
Captain thats fantastic, I'm happy for you. Sue that's a great loss first week. Niamh I'm not sure what 2 pounds is in grams but sounds like a reasonable amount. I have lost 2.6kgs and lots of cms, so feeling pretty happy.
Missymoo. Ashton is really advanced, he is about 2 months ahead o fhimslef!!! I am off to have a look at your pics.

Just a quick one. Ashlyn rolled over!!!! She was on her back playing with a toy that I'd hung above her and she decided to kick it. The next thing I know she was on her tummy. The second time she was a bit more deliberate trying to kick the toy and roll. By the third go she didn't bother with the toy, just flicked her legs and over she went!!:D

Hi Girls,
Thanks for all the input re sleeping. I'm not worried now, and am considering myself lucky! I had to submit a job application today for the job I was doing before I went on mat leave. It was hard to get my brain into gear to write it. I hope it was ok.
Pam- FANTASTIC NEWS!!! I'm so glad you are ok and well done on the weight loss.
Sue-No teeth here! Thank goodness, we are not in a hurry for those. I'm starting weight watchers next week I hope I do as well as you in the first week!
Mto2- Emily is 7.1kg too. I thinkg you are doing a good job.
Lauren- its called a portable bottle warmer by Dex products. Love it!
Mel- well done Ashton!
Captain- Yay for Ashlyn- I thought Emily did that today but I thik she lost her balance on the edge of the rug!
Niamh- Poor Shane awful that he is sick.

Well the results are in, my breasts work well!!! he has gained 255 in a fortnight!! I know its not a HUGE gain, but remember that the last month or so its been like 50gms a week!
I Had him weighed twice LOL only because i had to go and see my doc for myself and get a script and he wanted to check on him.. according to his scales he is 7.290 and according to my child health nurse he is 6.990 (her scales always seem to be less then my docs) but going off each of their individual records of him he is doing really really well! I am so releived! MY BOOBS WORK EVERYONE!!!!!
YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY
Question, when you get your kids weighed do you go by bare weight?

Molly went for her 4 month immunizations today and she handled them like a champ. She cried when she got them but settled very quickly when it was all over. She hasn't had any sort of reactions. She did feel a little warm earlier but it has also been very hot here. I did give her some panadol just in case.
Other big Molly news is that tonight is the first night I have put her to sleep in her cot. So far so good. She settled quickly and has been asleep for a while. I always seem to worry that I have put too many blankets (or that the one on is too thick) and that she will over heat. Her day sleeps in the cot are going ok. She still wakes earlier than the bassinette but she is doing much better.

Hi everyone,
Sorry I haven't replied earlier but I spent 1/2 hour writing out a big long post the other day and then it just went missing when I went to post it. I got so... frustrated I just screamed and turned the computer off. I am now calm enough to come back and re-post but god help it if goes missing again, I just might explode!!!! :o:o:wall::wall:
Pam - That's brilliant news I'm so happy for you!:dance:
Lauren - As long as your bub is happpy and has 2 chubby cheeks, you are not feeding your bub too much. I really think we've been brain washed into believing all our bubs should be conforming to this make believe curve . Truly it's all down to genetics, I mean I'm 5 ft tall, so my bubs would have a totally different growth patterns to a bub born to 2 really tall people. We can all tell as their mums if they are thriving, so take all the 'experts' books and throw them out the window as nothing can replace a mum's instinct!
Re: Emme's reflux, when I took her to the doctors he put her on baby liquid Lo Sec, so even though it won't stop the vomiting at least it will be less sour.
Kerry - How are things going with you? Hope you are feeling happy, and good luck with planning your trip. I so.. wish I was going on holiday!
I had Emme immunised last week and she was an angel. Just one big cry when she realised the needle was in, the I gave her a cuddle and she was back to normal.
I got her weighed and measured on Wed and she is going great. She is now 62cms, and her head is 41 cms, and she is a healthy 6.45 kgs!!!:dance:
I'm just going to hide awy from thinking about my relationship with my ex, goodness knows what will happen in 1 or 2 years. Hopefully I will be able to say that I'm totally happy with everything then!!
See ya guys!

Joh thats amazing news!! DS1 crawled at about 4 months but i am hoping nath is a bit slower.
NatB
**Throws the experts books out the window**
-
yay Joh!! lol let the fun begin!
-
OOOOHHHH all these clever little monkeys, moving, rolling commando crawling and sitting!!!! My little chicken is taking her time, definately happy to just lie there and bat her toys. Offically my slowest one at rolling, will have to wait and see, she might all of a sudden do it all at once??????
Joh your little girl must have been getting frustrated by 14 months....
-
Blackduckies - No she was very placid just sitting there not trying to reach for stuff!!! Made up for it now keeps me on my toes!
-
wowzer Joh, that's amazing. Time to start barracading everything in the house soon LOL.
Pam - my little sweetie is just taking her sweet time too, I kinda like it that way.
Donna - how'd she go in the cot? Bella hasn't once slept in her's . I paid all this money for a beautiful cot and don't use it. Once she is on the move she will just HAVE to be in there though, so I should start getting her in it.
A rough night here, no crying or anything, just fidgeting and squirming all night. I put some bonjella on her just before and I'm sure that I felt something, so when she wakes I'll have to inspect a little closer.
OK, off to wash spewy clothes and mop spewy floors - the joys of having a reflux baby.
xx

Good morning ladies
Mummatotwo, Yay for the working bbs!!! Glad you feel better about things now. If I go to the CHN I weigh without clothes and at the chemist I weigh her with clothes.
Eej, I'm sure your job application was fine. When are you planning on going back to work? I'm still trying to decide when and how to plan work.
Donna, How is Molly going in the cot? I'm the same with the blankets, always worried that I've put on too many or not enough. She wakes so easily if I haven't got it right.
Nat, good that Emme's needles went well. You're right about the growth chart, people are so different. I'm 5'7 and Dh is just over 6', but at his skinniest weighs about 130kg, so it is really know surprise that Ashlyn is so big.
Joh, commando crawling is amazing. Have fun with baby proofing the house. I still need to do it.
Pam, Ashlyn wasn't doing anything to try and roll before. She just did it by accident and now she wont stop. Feel so much better sleeping her on her tummy though now that she does roll.
Sue, hope those teeth come through quickly for you.
Mel, wow Ashton is sitting, there's just no stopping him is there? He'll be walking before you know it.
I'm really enjoying watching Ashlyn learn to do everything, with Danielle everything was so [I]managed[I]. She was in physio from the day she was born, so everything was about teaching her. With Ashlyn I can just sit back and play with her and let her do things in her own time. So much more fun. :D
-
Pam - that is wonderful news I am so happy for you
Jo - Things are going to get interesting for you now Xavier is commando-ing around the house :) I think I am quite happy for Molly to stay a beached whale at this stage :)
Um time to update... Molly has been doing wonderfully in her cot. She has slept through every night except for last night. Even her day sleeps are extending out. I have to put a rug on the side that you look out into the room though she doesn't seem to like seeing the big room. Even DH commented on how much better (and quicker) she settles now. I also bought her the Fisher price seahorse thing that lights up and plays music which has helped too. Her other big sleep news is that her bedtime has changed from 10:30 to 10:00
I am not sure if I told you all but Molly also moved from the car capsule into her car seat. Even though its rear facing you see her trying to sit up (leaning forward KWIM?) in it while you drive along. I just keep telling her that she has another 7 months like that I tell the same to DH. The seat takes up more room in the car than the capsule and as a result we have to move his seat forward. I drive a small laser and he is 6foot 4. He already looked too big for the car and now he has no room at all.
And just because I am stressing about it I need to tell you guys something :) You might remember that a while ago I was getting my period all the time. First time I got it I went on the mini pill but then I ended up getting it 6 times in about 8 weeks so I stopped taking it to see if it would settle down which it has (5 weeks since last visit). But for the last week I keep getting pains like I am getting it but nothing eventuates. Now I have a heavy feeling in my stomach like I did when I was pregnant and I am too scared to go get a test. I know that my body may still be trying to get back to normal and I shouldn't worry. But KWIM?
any way I better go and spare you all from my waffling :)

Wow aren't our little baby's so clever and growing up way to fast LOL I love watching Eireann do new little things its great.
Had friends up tonight I havent seen my friend in a while but she is having problem with er DP, he is being very disrespectful to her calling her names, He told her she was fat and ugly and could he could do better(she is very pretty and no were near fat) he is drinking a lot and she says gambling all their money some times. she feels like there is no love and when she tries to talk to him about it he just laughs at her. I really felt for her, but what advice can i give her beside Kill him Ild be devastated if my Dh spoke to me like that. were can she go to talk to some one. she is so sad over it and they have two little boys and the eldest is acting up big time and being a little brat. might be picking up on the situation ...
