Hi girls sorry its been so long but..... a little more time to myslef has made me feel a lot less stressed;)
Kerry I love the name change: Hope all works out on the BF to bottle front well at least through the day, if worst comes to worst, a trip at lunch time might have to happen, don't worry too much, it will all work out. Like the others have suggested he might take the bottle from someone else??? Why would he take it from you when the boob is there!!!!
Niamh, glad all is well with Eireann, we had DS in hossy wehn DD was born :pray:croup turned to RSV, extreemlly high temps and like someone else said we are very cautious when it looks like things are heading that way!!!!!!:doh:Touch wood, Poppy has had a good run, we have all had flu shots except Miss Pop to try and keep things going well here.
Lee, hope the next few weeks passes by quickly...yes definately not missing the feeling of MS.
missymoo, I really want to get onto Facebook to see all these gorgeous babes and your superman Ash, it is so hard to imagine, especially when I watch Poppy happy to just lazy around??? Although all my others have been much quicker Tegan was walking at 9 months and Gabe at 10 months but its hard to remember, except whe you watch video footage or pics.
indie, great news about FIL and your friend, make sure you let me know when you are down this way, I would love to meet you...:)
Captain, good luck with going back to work as well... They still seem so little I would be rreally struggleing with it!!! The hard part is strating once you get a few weeks under your belt all will be okay;)

Poppy weighs 8.6kgs, 71cm long, still in size 0, 2 teeth, rolls and sits for a little while and thats about it, very smiley and happy though and loves a good cuddle and hands kisses out on a regular basis to everyone, the kids love it, they fight over who is first to be slobbed on:lol:

Pam, I'm so glad to see you here again!! I wish you were on Facebook so I could keep track of you and Poppy and I'm betting you have some beautiful photographs of her. Matthew isn't crawling yet, although he is starting to cover some floor when I'm not looking. I plonk him on his mat amongst his toys, head into the kitchen and when I look a few minutes later to see what he's up to, he's under the table or against a wall. And I wish he only had two teeth. I'm sure I can see more bumps. He's turning into a piranha!
CJ, how did orientation go? I wish we could stay home longer with our bubs. I've got two weeks to go and I'm fretting already. Sounds like Madeleine is going to be a tall girl!
Jo, that sinus infection must be nasty! Glad the antibiotics are working their magic. Woohoo Xavier for getting your first tooth! Now let Mummy have some sleep!
Tenille, they sound like long shifts and I don't envy you the late ones. I understand now why you need to leave three bottles. Lol at the chubby thighs! I'm hoping Matthew doesn't lose his chubby legs and little tummy once I go back to work.
Yesterday's practice run of leaving Matthew at the carer's for five hours went okay. I was able to go there for half an hour to feed him at lunch time but he didn't take much and I don't think he ate much while he was there. I had a monstrous headache by the time I collected him - stress. On Friday I'm leaving him with the carer for four hours but with no break because I've got to go to Griffith again for a dental appointment. This time, I'll be leaving EBM. Might try to see if she can get him to take EBM tomorrow or Thursday first though. Wishing my nipples weren't so sore, it really hurts to use a breastpump.

We had our second orientation yesterday and well I don't feel any better about returning to work than I did a few days ago, the first day was fine as I was in the room but yesterday I sat in the staff room for an hour & she pretty much cried for half the time & only stopped when I went in to get her... how is she going to cope with 8 hours eek
Cheeky, hope your little one takes the EBM from the carer it will certainly put you at ease fingers crossed.

CJ, it's stressful, isn't it. I really want to say I won't be returning until the start of next term. And after yesterday, just maybe I will.
I had a car accident yesterday on the way back from the dentist's at Griffith. I hit some loose, wet dirt beside the road and I lost control of the car, tried to correct it but ended up rolling the car. I am just so grateful that Matthew wasn't in the car at the time. And that I only got a bump on the head. Had an ambulance ride to the multipurpose health centre in the town where I live, as the accident occurred just 45km from home. I stayed in the hospital overnight, with Matthew, for observation in case of concussion, I suppose. Had very little sleep. At the moment I'm trying to sort out where my car has been taken, insurance claim, etc. Very tired and a bit sore and sad. Still it could have been much, much worse.

S**T Kerry, glad you are ok. Bet you're still very shaken. I can't even imagine how it could have been with Mathew in the car. Thank the lord you are ok, wish I could give you a huge :hug: Look after yourself xx
My sincerest appologies for not being around lately. I have had df home for 2 weeks as we managed to hire someone for a break. We've been going on little day trips and doing heaps around the house. I am getting a new kitchen done in the next few weeks, eeeekkkk, I am happy to say that I have actually stuck to my budget. I usually don't so this is a big deal and I even got ceasarstone benchtops yippee.
Still no teeth for Arabella, no crawling, but she does manage to find her way across the floor while I'm not looking.
Her feeding habits have changed dramatically and I'm finding it really hard to get a bottle into her these days.
Well, I must run cause I have to clean up the kitchen and wait til 10pm to pick dd up from a dance on the other side of town :rolleyes:. Never mind that I was up at 5.30am this morning to take her to a school cross country :wall:. This is what all you ladies have to look forward to in about 13 years time LOL..

Sue- Emily doesn't have any teeth yet either!!! It must be the age for feeding to go haywire cause I am finding it hard to get milk into Em somedays. Yay for DF being home and a new kitchen!
Emily seems to have dropped to one 2 hour sleep a day!!! I never thought that would happen. My baby that I worried about sleeping too much!!! She is sleeping 12 hours overnight so I think she is getting enough. She has started pulling herself up on furniture so now has lots of tumbles and tears.
On the feeding front I am thinking I need to add a FF. I am not quite getting enough milk from pumping and its getting harder to do as Emily needs so much entertaining.
DH is coming home tomorrow after 2 weeks away. I can't wait, we have missed him.

Oh no Kerry, glad you are okay though, just the stress you did'nt need. It would be good if you could put off going back to work until next term, but... in saying that I don't think there will ever be a right time??? You might find it harder to get Matthew to settle as he gets older??? Can you talk DP into letting you be a kept woman for the next few years :lol:
Sorry Candy Jay , I think I said Captain the other day... so tough and awful when you know they are crying!!! I was watching dr Phil the other day and he was talking about kids being resilent and that most of these things won't affect them long term???? I hope he is right!!!:pray:

Sue, yeah for some time together and getting lots done. I envy you the new kitchen we are just starting the process for our new room, I am so reluctant to part with the big $$$ we have been checking IKEA out but I'm just not sure??? anyone got an IKEA kitchen??? LUV ceaserstone, will be definately getting that over any other benchtop finish.

wowee, so qt in here lately... Arabella has been so ill with a cold. I did end up taking her to the dr's to get some AB's. She slept really well last night and must be so exhausted from no sleep that she didn't get up this morning til about 8.30am, so nice. She's back in bed now, but coughing her lungs up at the same time.
Pam - I love the Ikea kitchens so much, but I don't feel like doing any of the work to install it so am paying for ours to be completed so I don't need to stress. Our kitchen is 6mtrs long and we are making it even bigger :rolleyes:. Will have to put some before and after shots up for you.
eej - Any teeth yet??? I have a sneaky suspicion that ours are not far off - I have been saying that for months now :doh:. Bella's back to eating and drinking like a horse now even though she is sick. Had her weighed last week and she is 10.2 kg nudie so it hasn't done her any harm LMAO..

Erin, I'm in awe that Em is sleeping two hours during the day. And 12 hours overnight! How nice! But I can well understand what you mean about not having time to express because of the demand to be providing non-stop entertainment. You've done so well to have kept up the expressing this long! :clap::clap::clap:
Pam, I wish I could be a "kept woman", lol. I've extended mat leave a week and I'm going to ask if I can come back three days a week until the end of term. Hope you had a good time in Melbourne and found the doors you were after.
The saga to find a replacement vehicle continues here. :doh: No caryards in this town, no public transport, no taxis. Have to get a lift 135km to take up the hire car option I ticked with my NRMA insurance policy because they don't bring the car to you. Have borrowed a baby seat until I can get a new one from Griffith. Getting a ride has been a problem, though, something always seems to crop up. On the phone (when DS allows) to car dealers, Teachers Car Buying Service (a bit high pressure for my liking) and another bloke recommended to me who buys cars for people (for a price). I feel like I'm getting nowhere. Sigh. Still, at least I'm okay and so is Matthew.

Kerry, wow, sounds like a scary crash. Glad you and Matthew are both ok. Hope you can find a new car soon, without too much more frustration.
Just a quick one from me. My niece was born on Tuesday in a beautiful home water birth. She was 7lb2 and is absolutely gorgeous. I have my first day at work on Tuesday so I'm a little bit nervous. I've spent the last week trying to sort out Ashlyn's sleeping issues. Think it's going Ok because she is now only having one feed at night and has actually slept 6hrs straight for the last 2 nights. I've been able to get some sleep and I think my mind is slowly returning,lol. Unfortunately I now actually care that the house looks like a bomb hit it, :rolleyes:. I should probably go and try to clean some of it now.

Just a quick update from me. My mum was admitted to hospital on the 22nd (her 70th birthday) after falling at my house. At the hospital she was diagnosed with a brain tumour and had it removed on MOnday.
Poor miss Moo has spent the last 8 days at the hospital visiting mum. She has been such a good baby. It sounds like we will be visitng her for some time to come.

I'm so sorry to hear your Mum has had to have such major surgery, Donna. What a way to spend the first week of turning 70. Big hugs for her, you and Miss Molly. Was the fall the result of the tumour? How terrible. :hug:

Us, loads happening had Eireann christening pics on fb and having major problems with my DS1 in school some boys are really giving him a bad time we thought we had it sorted and last week 3 boys ganged up on him and chocked him he had big red marks on his neck had that being sorted when one of the boys boxed him in the stomach and when my sister was picking up DS2 she had to collect DS1 as well he was feeling sick and white as a ghost he is overly sensitive this weekend so more major talks with the teachers on Tuesday we are so mad.
on a good note Eireann has her first tooth coming through and she pulled her self up standing she is crawling backwards around the floor or bums it some times she moves with out us seeing her as well.

Sue, poor Bella she has had a bit of a rough trot with a few colds, (the benefits of having older siblings I'm sure, about the only thing they will share) just as long as they don't bring home swine flu:rolleyes: Our room is getting a 6 metre long kitchen!!! I thought that was heaven... you won't know what to do with yourself with a bigger one???
Niamh yay on a tooth/standing/backwards crawling and getting Eireann christened, I must do something about FB I really feel like I am missing out:wall: I feel so sorry about your son being bullied, oldest DD had lots of issues like that I think it has contributed to how she is behaving these days??
Captain, the water birth sounds lovely :clap:to be part of it must have been amazing you will have a special bond with your neice because of it. I try to pretend I don't care about the house, but it is embrassing, I don' t know how we are supposed to fit everything in though. The main things washing, dishes, toliet bathroom, washing put away, get done, but the vac is a bit behind, dusting/ironing/window cleaning??? whats that ......:redface:this kindy year is really a killer, next year is one as well, but hopefully one a school makes it not so difficult!!!
Kerry (((((((STRESS))))))) very difficult when you don't have so many things in your town and have to travel so far and rely on other people to get you there. Glad you get another week at home though and going back 3 days a week sounds like a fantastic idea.
Me had a counselling session today, she thinks I have mild PND, I do think I am mildly depressed but nothing that a few more hands and a few extra hours a day could'nt fix???? But I guess having a baby makes it PND??? Anyway a few mild drugs could'nt hurt could it??? The most stressful part about it was paying at the end!!! I have to wonder if I really need to keep going??? I hate that it costs so much, when we go without heaps and we have so many other things we need to spend the $$$ on. :wall:
Seeing as 1st birthdays are on the horizon is anyone interested in doing a pressie exchange similar to when we had these babies? 1st birthdays are such big milestones. This group has been a great support and we alll get on so well, it would be nice to do it again, let me know what you think, same deal as last time $30 including post, prepaid bag would be the cheapest. Nominate who you want to buy for or draw it out of a hat, and add everyones name to the card. Maybe sugggestions on size, colour and season required would be good or go with gut or a toy?? Have athink whether you want to join in or not and we'll go from there.
I was also wondering if there was a way to put all our bubs pics together and perhaps all get one also post it in the gallery here on BB??? Someone computer savvy needed here me thinks.:p

I ended up putting a link in my signature but must update my pictures! Pam, I hope you can get on to FB because there are some wonderful photos on there of our bubs and I'd love to see some more pictures of Poppy!! Sorry to hear that you might have slight PND. :hug: Go the mild drugs though. Can't hurt and if it makes you feel better, then the money spent is well worth it.
Niamh, love the christening photos! What a gorgeous girl! You did a lovely job, too, with her gown! Hope the situation with DS1 is sorted out swiftly. A horrible thing.
Just waiting on NRMA to deposit my payment into my account. I rang to chase up the claim today and was told that I needed to fax them copies of my rego papers, CTP green slip as well as the quotes for the baby seat with the claim number attached before the claim could be processed further. I had a grizzle that it would have been nice to have been told all that last week given that I'd extended my unpaid maternity leave a week to find another car and that there's no public transport, no hire cars and no taxis in this town... :wall:

Pam, great idea. I'd love to be part of the pressie exchange. I have no idea how to put photos in the gallery though, so I'll have to check that. Sorry to hear about the PND. Try not to stress about the money, it's important to look after yourself. With FB you can just sign up in a couple of minutes and just use it to look at friends photos. It doesn't need to take to much of your time.
Donna, How is your mum? I hope she is recovering well.

For me, I fell back into work quite easily, just very tired. Tomorrow I have to get up at 4.30am!!!! Ashlyn handled the whole thing really well, wasn't upset at all, so that was a big relief. She has another tooth coming through, but thankfully she is still sleeping well. She desperately wants to be standing up all the time. It's so cute, I think she wants to skip crawling and just start walking, lol.

Hiya girls... still no teeth :ROFL:... One day I will get to make the big announcement, hopefully by her first birthday.
Arabella is still sick with a :cold:. Went to the dr last week and got AB's, have done JS so took her back yesterday cause she is weezing terribly and he gave her another AB and if she isn't improving by friday I think we are off to the hospital :rolleyes:. Just what I need mid kitchen reno and kids sporting events.
Kerry - we are with NRMA and they were so good when we were robbed. They organised my TV the very same day and everything else including my $10k diamond was sorted within a couple of weeks. I am glad I joined FB now, still getting the hang of it though cause it's a bit different from bb.
captain - glad the transition back to work went well. I'm all too greatful that I don't have to go back, DF does remind me ALOT too LOL..
Donna - Hope your mum is on the mend, so very sorry to hear this news. take care and I hope things brighten up for you real soon. x
Pam - All the reno's are coming together nicely here, how bout you? Glad you saw a councellor, think I should see one myself. But like you said, nothing an extra pair of hands wouldn't fix. I think that I'm a little swamped in the kids stuff, working from home, DF's baggae and then looking after a bub all by myself. I'm hoping when Bella gets less frustrated at having to occupy herself things might settle down. I'm up for pressie exchange too, wow, how exciting, our little one's are going to be one eeeekk.

Captain, I hear you on the house looking like a bomb, since being back at work it seems to be spiraled (sp) out of control, I also work a day at home (which can't say is at all easy) and well the house looks like an absolute tip afterwards but ohh well we can't have it all the time.
Pam, it's good your sessions are helping, I would try not to worry so much about the cost (easier said than done)it's about your health in the long run, just think of it as something you pay for every pay for i.e. health insurance & I have had to do the same things as so far i've needed to spend over $1000 for dental (bad teeth after PG). DH says its better to fix/look after ourselves now because who knows what will happen in the future if we leave it. BTW I'm in for the exchange
Nic, hope bub gets well soon, it must be difficult time with your house being renovated.
As for Madeleine, shes still not a fan of child care... it's horrible when she cries when I leave her but I have to let her go. In two days she managed to pick up a cold & an ear infection.
She has been teething really badly, last wednesday she just had her 2 teeth at the bottom, thursday 2 of her top four came in, friday another top tooth & saturday I took her to the doctors as her 4th top tooth (gum) is black and swollen, hopefully it will come through soon poor thing.
We went out for dinner last night for the first time since Madeleine has been born & gee it was so nice to get out, suprisingly bub was well behaved and quite happily ate the vegies off my plate whilst looking at everyone in the restuarant.
