Ahh I can't remember what everyone's said...
All the best with ttc Rach.
How's you FIL Kell? With labour, I figure there's not much you can do about it! It can be worse, because you know what it's like, but I think it can be better too, because you're better equipped to deal with it, you know there's an end, and often a second labour is shorter.
Riv had something in his mouth, and when Rans grabbed him to try fish it out, Riv put on his most stubborn face and swallowed! It was dark coloured, all dark crayons are accounted for though, so I'm stumped about what it was! Anyone know what signs I should be looking out for if he's swallowed something bad?
-
Wow thats a scary one for you nelle. Um not sure really, pain, discomfort, crying, trouble breathing? Could it have been some food he left stashed?,money,Button. Id be concerned more if it was sharp, metal objects? Shell would be the most knowledgable id say.
Seems to be working ok rach? we have had tech glitches on wahms last couple of days.:)
-
Shell.. yep the pain. Im terrible with pain as it is. Plus the whole thing with Jesse and his heart rate.. all that stuff plays on my mind still and im sure will even more so.
Nelle.. thats a great way to think of it.. you know theres an end.. ill remember that. FIL isnt the best. Had recently started another stronger 75% dose of chemo.. lost 5 kgs in a week.. but theyre taking him off it as its knocking him around too much. I think i mensioned about a year ago about a different treatment they tested him on.. well theyre going to retest to see if they can get him on that as its a different type of cancer now or something. But yeh.. hes lost so much weight.. when i was pregnant with Jesse we use to compair our belly sizes.. his was from beer! but now ive been winning by a mile for ages. Oh dear.. i hope it was just a saltana or something he found from earlier. I guess you just have to look if he's showing any discomfort?
Chrissy.. good to hear its all going well for you and Liam is feeding well!
-
hey everyone
Just popping in to wave hello
Just so you know , Dh has moved out and wont be moving back in. We have seperated for good. He has been gone for a week now and I am slowly adjusting to being a single mummy
any way i have stuff to do
-
Beatrix - hugs to you hun:hug: I am so sorry to hear about you and DH, you are strong and have your three beautiful girls. Take care of yourself. x
-
Nelle- I'm with what Caddie said look out for discomfort, did it seem like something chewy? At least then you'd know its nothing sharp. Look out in his poo tomor to see what comes out.
Bea- Sorry to hear that. Any chance of the 2 of you sorting things out? You have family around to help you out while you adjust? How are the girls taking it?
Kell- I bet when you have that little girl it'll brighten your fil day. My fil is luckily going ok, the cancer is still there as its inoperable but at least from last check it hasn't grown or spread elsewhere.
Rach- Good luck with it all, fingers crossed you get that BFP before you need clomid again.
-
B..
Shell.. oh thats good to hear about your FIL. Horrible thing that it is! Yeh im so happy we're having a girl for him.. will be the best gift i could ever give him.
-
shelbell3 - I live in the West just off the Calder Freeway near Taylors Lakes. Will be moving to Sydney at the end of next month.
Nelle - I'd go with pain & discomfort while the digestion is taking place, and agree with checking the pooh for anything abnormal being passed - how old is Riv? Easier to check if in nappies, harder if toilet trained!
It is scary when the unknown has happend. DS came in from playing outside last week with a blister on his finger. I was out with him hanging up the washing and he was never upset. It swelled up to look like either a burn (hot water unit??) or bite (spider??) so I took him to the dr's just in case. He thought bite but I am still not convinced either way. No other symptoms so sent home where it got a blister on top of a blister, burst, went all pussy and is still a scab trying to heal up. No idea what happened.
-
Jett is sick with a pretty bad chest infection and I woke this morning hardly able to swallow or talk. I want to go bury myself somewhere cold. This is THE suckiest part of being a mum, having to soldier on when you feel like death warmed over.
Guess its better now than in 2 weeks when we move.
Bea -
-
Sorry beatrix,i dont know what to say but you can only do whats best for you, maybe the seperation may make dh rethink how much he is missing out on and if not at least your girls will grow up without the parents being unhappy/fighting. As long as dh still spends time with his girls is the main thing.
Annat i have had it for a week now.My girls before that,so house of sick here for a month. I have felt like crawling under a rock but theyd find me!
-
Hi all,
I am having trouble with my computer so that I can't reald posts properly atm.
I hope everyone is well.
It was nice to see you pop in Kell and Rach.
J seems to be reducing his day sleep as well. Only sleeping for about an hour (as opposed to 3!) but sleeping longer overnight.
-
Jack seems to be dropping his all together  mind you he didn't have 1 on mon tues went down normal time no crying out slept 12hrs, yesterday I felt ill so made him have one with me he had 1 hr 15min went down normal time was still playing up 45min later and only slept 10hrs overnight :dunno: if is coincidence or not
-
I would say that there might be. It seems like he may not need the sleep during that day, but will make it up overnight.
It's a catch 22. I love the long break during the day when he is in bed. I can read the paper, check emails and have lunch in peace. But on the other hand, if he has less day sleep and goes to bed earlier and gets up later in the morning. I like that too!
J is a sleep atm. He was in there for near an hour just playing around. Now that he is asleep, I thought that I would pop my head in and tuck him in... anyway it STINKS in there. He is asleep obviously with a big poo!
Shell - Have you been watching John and Kate Plus 8? It is on every day at 12:30 and & 7 pm.
-
god I feel like a stranger and slack tart!! smack me around the head later
Ive gotta go back and have a read of what everyone is up to.
Mateauz is getting stronger and stronger. He now rolls onto his side and lets us put him on his tummy. He holds his neck up alright but gets tired very quickly. He is still a boobies monster and 3 days ago we started him on solids. He LOVES his food. He smiles and laughs alot..cooes and ahhh..he really completes us totally.
other news...we bought a new car. A Kia carnival. We really needed something that could carry a wheelchair for Mateauz down the track and its big enough. My back was also starting to kill me from getting him and Vy out of the explorer.
Vy is just full on these days! OMG everything is NO, whats this....Teauz (mateauz for her) and shhhhhh. Shemust be teething atm cause I could so play ping pong with her.
Ahh there she goes again...will try and keep my butt in here
-
Beatrix-Sending lots of love your way. It must be hard to be going through what you are going through at the moment. I hope you have people around you to support and help you.
Eeek on all the bites, swollowing foreign objects and sickness. Seems to be the boys though. Must be trouble, I know Eithan is getting a handful. Very defiant and stubborn.
Hope you are all well.
-
Nelle- How'd Riv go after his foreign object swallowing? Maybe it was a bug or something!
Maz- Yay on new car, is it definate that Mat will need a wheelchair or will you not know the extent of the CP for time to come?
Meg- No I haven't been watching! Is it the new season? Cause I saw ads that the new one was coming.
AnnaT- How you feeling? Can Ry take time off to look after you all?
mummychrissy- Thats a big move. Are you originally from Sydney or just moving up there?
With day sleeps I think I prefer her to sleep that bit longer in the morning, I still put her in for an hour to rest so get little break then.
-
Is it just me, or did we hit #100 and then just kinda get all slack? C'mon guys, upwards and onwards to thread #200! :P
Shell, he seemed fine today, bit of a sensitive soul but I think that was teeth and tiredness. :) I was just so surprised he swallowed before showing me or Rans, usually he comes and shows me what he's about to eat, so we have a chance to wrestle it off him. :D
Maz, I can't wait to see your car in real life, how fun!
Ahh sick is no fun Annat. Is Jett a good patient?
Hope you're okay Bea.
Still got a midday napper here. His bed is kinda just a bed without the castors, so it's close to the ground, so he alternates between running around his room and napping. Whatever, as long as he nods off eventually.
And YES Maz, Riv is so full on these days too. I don't tidy until he's in bed now, I'm trying to teach him to put things back, but I only have so much patience. He's so stubborn and willful and when I raise my eyebrows at him he raises them back, it's such a naughty look! (And I always have to turn away so he doesn't see me laugh.) Drives me craaazy.
Hi to everyone else! :hello: Hope you're well.
-
hi lovely ladies!
hope that you are all well.. i'm really enjoying having my sister visit with me , have been spoilt rotten ( once again!) by all her gifts for the kids from the USA..
She has not been out since Christmas and can really notice a huge change in the kids, she misses them so much!
Anyway, as usual have not read the posts, so wishing everyone well.. and ill try and get more regular once my visitors leave.
Oh, Alexander can climb the change table, i have to really be careful with him, he is so fast!
When he has done a poo he climbs the change table ready to be changed! and lies there yelling for me if im not there already..scary, but clever and cute at the same time IFYKWIM!
-
My son comes and tells me what he has done by saying 'pooohh' and put his hand on his nose. A signal my mum taught him. He then goes and lies down in his room waiting for his nappy to be changed. I thought it was a sign he was ready for toilet training so had a 'little' go at trying him on a potty over a few days but I don't hink he was ready. He has the signals after he has done it but not yet before, he also gets confused with doing 'pops' and doing 'poo'. He does the same signal for both but doesn't go lie down for pops. Even though we are dealing with a horrible body function it is quite cute.
-
Im feeling better today thanks Shell. I had to get Ry to come home yesterday and play nurse. I slept til 3pm and then veged on the couch all night. He even went out for take away so I wouldnt have to cook. He was good with the kids all day too. Jett is much better, he was so good yesterday I think he knew I wasnt at my best. He kept asking "Where's my mummy?" all day though. Im glad Im better beause 2 of my good friends from Sydney are coming down for the long weekend so we have lots of things to do!
Lots of exciting things happening here - 2 weeks til we move (and hopefully not long after get to meet Jodi and her gorgeous girls!), Ripley is almost sitting up on his own and he holds his own bottle now, such a big boy!
Happy 5mths to Mateauz!!
Happy 2nd trimester to Helen!!
-
AnnaT- Maybe you and Jodi can plan arrange marriages for your 2 boys and her 2 girls!
MrsT- Glad your having great time, I miss my sister if I don't get to see her once week! bet you've been chatting away non stop.
We been trying toilet training with Ash too. She says wee wees or poo poos then runs to toilet and gets her little seat and puts on the toilet but then she'll sit there and do nothing, I think she just thinks its fun and doesn't actually realise you go there to do something! If you take her off she gets mad and wants to hop back on and off!
-
 Well we think Nina is lovely but Jett already has a fiance. However Ripley is single and looking, and Emily is cute as a button ;)
-
still in my pj's and is Rylee, she was up half the night in my bed coughing with a temp so we are on the go slow this morning, being very lazy.....gotta get motivated.
-
Um does falling asleep in your play station thingy count as self settling? Because I looked over just before and Rips was hunched over snoring away  I dont think The Beatles are that bad haha He always falls asleep when I have music playing.
-
hhhhmmmm...come on here and you've got my girls off and married already!! At least I have plenty of time to save :cryinglaugh:
bbl, off to have some lunch.
-
Vyolett and River are gonna have a play together this monday...omg I bet they are both gonna run of together and ahve Nelle and I worrying. Little Biartch is still up...she fell asleep on the couch this afternoon and slept for 4 hours OMG now she's a live wire!!!!!!
-
Will be funny to see them together again hey Maz, has it been about a year since last time? More?
-
Someone shoot me.The 3rd day im up at 4am.. As soon as i get up to ruby my cough starts.I cant get back to sleep because my cough wont let me. During the day im better just early morn and nite,Im going barmy..
-
Caddie, hugs - you must be so exhausted, these coughs that are going around are bad news!!! I hope things improve.
Maz & Nelle - cute on Riv & Vy getting together.
Shell - good on you for starting to toilet train Ash - we havn't done yet with Rylee but should think about it.
Okay bbl
-
maz - what were Nina and Vy up to yesterday, Nina didn't go to sleep till 4pm, slept way too long, and was up all night as well, running around like a lunatic.
We went out to dinner last night, and she thought it would be fun to run around the restaurant running a muck. One of the waitresses said to us 'oh, she's going to be a right little terror when she's older!' Thanks a lot, I really needed to hear that!
caddie - oh that sucks. I hope you get soon.
Have fun on Monday nelle & maz.
-
Hi all. it is a COLD day in Gisborne today. I worked yesterday, and my MIL had for the day. She also had J's cousin who is 4 months younger than J. They had a blast together. It is really good that they see each other at my MIL's, as DH does not speak to his brother. So at least the cousins still get to know each other.
Maz and Nelle : I hope the kidlets have fun together.
Jodi : Sometimes I think that J is gonna be a handful! I think that they all have their hyperactive moments.
Caddie - How is the cough today?
AnnaT - looking forward to the move?
Laurin - How is Rylee now?
MrsT - Hope your sis and you are having a good time.
Shell - Is it cold at your house today? and yes it is the new season of John and kate.
Bea - How are you going? I hope that you are alright, and the girls are ok about their dad not being there.
Helen - I hope the preg is going along nicely.
Chrissy - How is Liam going?
Shar - O hope you are feeling better after saying goodbye to your dog.
Rach - Did Jack sleep for you yesterday?
Kell - I am sure that you will be fine with this birth. Remember your body is designed to have babies, so you will be fine. I think it must be more scary the next time around as you know what to expect!
DH is FINALLY feeling better, so I have let him more back into our room.
-
Meg - yay on DH being back in your room:bd:
It is cold down here and I can hear Rylee chattering away in her cot......she stil has her cough and runny nose, seems mildly better but she did sleep well last night even if it was in my bed.
-
Ok - I have finally put some pics of our holiday on Facebook. So go it to take a look. :)
-
ok thanks meg will check them out and get envious.:cryinglaugh:
Slowly getting on the mend!! Thankgoodness. Aaron has taken both girls food shopping. He has done it twice and reckons the girls behave..We will see when he gets home.He thinks he is such a hero.lol
I went and seen rikki on sat. Ainsleigh is 16kgs!! More than millana. She is going to be some amazon looking model i think or play basketball for australia! Rikki has been having a hard go of it lately but thats her story and lets just say we think of you
ok better go got tacos all over my face.
-
Your pics made me jealous Meg! I so need a holiday. And you'll need your Dh better to make a baby!
Caddie- How'd Aaron go with the shopping? He'd prolly tell you it was easy even if it wasn't! Give Rikki our thoughts and hugs with whatever she is going thru at the moment.
Laurin- Its not much training, she actually says wee wees and so we just sit her she seems to think its a game!
Jodi- Its so hard going out to dinner with kids we take lots things to try distract Ash while we're out just so we can get her to stay in high chair as long as possible! Coloring books are good. I have one that I just use for going out (not that it gets much use cause we never go out together!)
I went to Hens night last night at "witches in britches". So much fun, the show was really funny (and rude) and afterwards we went dancing, got the hen really drunk. I stayed at friends place afterwards so slept in this morn without and child distractions!
How bad is this, my sister went to a school reunion well was just her group of friends, anyways one of them had a 5 month old and feeding her a BBQ shape! When she told me I was like wtf.
-
Laurin - DH must be due home soon again??
Caddie - Hw did the shopping trip go?
Shell - Oh have they rebuilt witches in Britches? I thought I was still burnt down!!!
Havinga quiet morning. THen I am visiting a friend and taking J over to mums. He is going to stay the night, as I am working tomorrow, and the friend ii am visiting lives near mum.
-
Hi everyone
Meg - yep, DH is back on Thursday thank g@d, it is usually the last week that me and Rylee are getting a bit fed up with each other......and looking forward to some Daddy time.
I am off to lunch at a friends place who has a little girl and then depending what time that finishes may call into see another friend who has four girls so Rylee will get lots of playtime.
Has anyone used an Amby Hammock - just looking at one on ebay for the newbie....????
Have a nice girls.
Laurin x
-
Well I worked this morning, was pleasant shift and double pay!
Laurin- I've not used one personally but from what I've heard they can be quite good cause babies movements help move it and settle themselves.
Well looks like everyone is having busy day, hope all enjoying yourselves.
-
Meg he said it was a nightmare and that ruby should go have a nana nap.lol But he did do a cheap shop which was great.
I made a skirt for millana yesterday,First go at making clothes, she loves it so that made my day.lol
Millana has gotten sick over night with my cold, she has been better for 4 days and sick again. She sounds so chesty. Its a bummer, gym and pre-kindy today which she loves and ive already paid for. SHe has missed so much being sick. What can i do? Maybe i should go buy vitamins for her.
We had a mini tornado go through rockingham yesterday. We were not far off the path of it so are very lucky.I would hate for the roof to blow off.The girls would freak. We have had lots of storm damage here in rocko latley but we do live near the coast. Its not like a usa tornado but enough to do big damage.
OK will go sort my girls out with morning drinks.
I have put a pic in the gallery of millana in skirtt!
-
Helloooooooo..............
Its unusually quiet in here but I guess everyone is busy with all there toddlers/ newborns.
Caddie- That skirt turned out well! Good job on it. Lucky that mini tornado missed you, bit scary. How is Millana? I guess vitamins wouldn't hurt, some children seem more suceptable to catching colds and flus and all those virus's.
Well we are 7 dpo on our first month of ttc so fingers crossed, I have been getting mild cramping and alot nausea (nearly vomited last night) but who knows if its mind over matter!
Laurin- Have fun with Dh tomor! Hope it also gives you chance to have break from Rylee.
Maz and Nelle how'd your meet up go?
