jodi i hope little emily gets better soon, you wernt to know and im sure she will get better soon.Baby's skins have greater healing than us so i am sure there will be no lasting effects.
Maz hows the thing you organised going.Has everyone been notified?
I had my ct scan today.It took them 40 min to find a vein and in the end i had to have one in the most painful spot,the hand.But i can live with that.My problems are nothing compared to wider world.Plus i now have to take like 5 different vitamins as apparently im so low on stuff its negligable.The dr shakes his head at me.
Chrissy i am thinking of you. I am hoping you are alright and someone is supporting you.Mums tend to put themselves last. I just wish someone was close enough to give you a hand.

Thanks girls, FIL did quite well on chemo last time, it didn't knock him about as it does with most so hopefully he will react quite well again.

Kell- How is your FIL doing? Yeah better to take something that is gonna give him better quality of life.

Caddie- When do you get results CT?

U/S went well, only one in there Helen! So far all looks good, just puts your mind at ease to see it for first time and see that heart beat. Anyone heard from AnnaT yet and how hers went?

Chrissy- Still thinking bout you hon, just take each day at a time, even just each hour at a time. Try to make sure you are taking care of yourself and eating/ resting. :hug:

Congrats shell on your healthy little baby,sorry i didnt mention your FIL. Was very rude and was self absorbed and missed it! hope the chemo works..

Good news with Emily. I bathed her face during her bath, and I've been able to get all the excess cream off her face (the stuff was called Silverzine, and it turned her skin silver!) There was a chance that the cream would stain her skin silver, but fortunately it's all come off. So now I know exactly where the broken skin is. She looks 100% from what she did yesterday. I feel a lot better with her now that the cream has come off.

I'm very peeved off at Nina's daycare ATM. For a few weeks now, every time she goes to daycare she's been bitten on the arm or hand by another girl in the toddler room. I've known about it on all occassions, and the daycare stuff know this is happening as well. Apparently the girl that is biting Nina is also biting the other kids in the toddler room. And does it for no apparent reason.
Tonight, when I took her shirt off to give her a bath, there was a massive bite mark in the middle of her back! And I'm talking massive, about the size of 2 50cent pieces. And it's dark red and raised. I saw the group leader this afternoon and the director, and nothing was mentioned. I can understand that sometimes these things can be overlooked, but it's such a massive bite that I'm sure Nina would have screamed when it happened. Plus they changed her shirt today.
I'll be talking with the director again tomorrow about this. I'm hesitating pulling Nina out until something has been done about this.

Jodi the same thing happened to a lady accross the road.She wrote an official letter of complaint and also go into contact with some people who check the running of daycares and got them to speak to the centre. I would be ropeable. I couldnt put my child back until they have it sorted.If they cant manage that child she shouldnt be allowed to go.

I just realised I did have AnnaT's number so got tet back from her:
Scan showed she was measuring 4 days behind, no heartbeat but there was yoke sac and fetal pole. She's having another scan tomor and says she feels preg, m/s has kicked in. There is minor hemmorage near baby so they'll have to keep eye on that. Net should be up by the weekend.

Jodi- I definately would be having a word too, you don't send your child off to child care to have them being injured like that constantly. Maybe they need to sit down with that childs parents and work out how they will combat the prob so they can be consistant with the child at home and at child care.

Spoke with director this morning & showed her the bite. She's livid it wasn't picked up yesterday. Apparently they've tried working with the parents for a while now. She's going to get back to me this afternoon about what they plan on doing. Nina moves up to kindy in 2 weeks, so if need be, I'll keep her home until that happens.

OMG Jodi poor Nina, that sounds like a really nasty bite. Glad to hear that the director is going to look into it, although I am with you, still livid and look at pulling her out for 2 weeks.

I'm having an hormonal day, everything makes me cry. I am starting to not want to go anywhere, am a bit worried that I am getting pre-natal depression, think I will have a word to my ob when I visit next.

Helen - It would probably be a good idea to speak to your obs if you think that you are getting antenatal depression.

J still seems to have the rash on his face that I was told was part of the hand/foot/mouth disease. I am taking him back to the docs tomorrow, just in case it is something else and that he is contageous.

Helen do speak to your ob. Perhaps the babies are using up all your vitamins which can make you feel tired and moody.If its not at least you can be prepared.Im hoping my parcel will cheer you up when it arrives.
Hope james is better soon meg.Hand,foot and mouth is terrible.Ruby had it this time last year and it was frightening and awful.
I am on weight watchers.Started tues night. Made a lovely carrot thai soup for lunch but the urge for more is terrible:cryinglaugh: Not long till dinner!

We had our visit with the ENT yesterday and Alexander will be having grommets and adenoid surgery on 27th Aug. He has not been well since his ear drum bursting a few weeks ago, and has very bad glue ear in both ears..

Thanks for letting us know Maz. I'll be thinking of Chrissy and her family next Wednesday. It's fantastic how much the generous BB community has donated so far. I can only imagine how much it will help her.

Thanks for all of your thoughts and well wishes. I dont know how much is related to having twins or not, I think I am getting REALLY scared. I had PND with Bella but did ok with Eithan, but with these 2 it's hard, I will talk to my OB.

Annie-Hopefully the grommets will make Alexander feel better. Bella has suspected glue ear and her ear drum is collapsed inwards and still inflamed, but nothing more we can do except for wait. She had a bad hearing test, but we have to wait to oct to test her again before any intervention. How long before he goes in? Is it day surgery?

Chrissy-I cant even imagine how hard things are for you at the moment, but you arent alone, pop on here anytime and let it all out, no matter what is going through your head we are here to listen and understand. Huge hugs.

Still waiting on the director to call me back. There were a few ladies who weren't on yesterday, who she wanted to speak with, before getting back to me. I made one of the group leaders call her at 6pm last night to find out what's going on. I'm not going to let this one go. I'm seriously thinking about taking her out next week so she doesn't have to be in the toddlers room. She moves up to Pre Kindy the week after next, so I might take her back then. The mark is still quite visible today. If my USB cable for my camera wasn't broken, I'd upload a pic for you all to see. It's bad.

But on a good note, Emmy's face is all but cleared up :dance: Just a little dry now.

chrissy - food is good, you need to eat for your strength. And you need to be the kids' strength as well. How are the kids handling this? You're all probably still in a daze from it all.

maz - :lol: If I had the $$, I would buy up big time at your shop!

helen - like I said, I'm always here for you, and thinking of you.

b - did you end up going to the dr the other day about your supply issues?

Jodi- maybe demand that they move her up early. I cant see how one week would make a difference

They can't move her up until they have a spot for her, which becomes available on the 27th. Otherwise they would have moved her up a few months ago when she was ready.

Chrissy, I am so so sorry to hear your news, I am thinking of you :(

As for me my scan went well today - 1 baby with a heartbeat YAY, Im measuring 6w4d so makes me due April 6th but we all know I'll probably make it March lol Only bad note was a mass on my left ovary. They were a bit concerned so had a closer look and waiting on results for Monday. Im sure its nothing but worrying nonetheless with my fam history of ovarian cancer.

Im trying to keep up with everyone but hopefully I'll have net access by monday. I am so isolated and bored without a car to get around in, Im going to go batty before much longer. Oh and I officially hate the word 'NO' and the movie Cars ;)

Chrissy- Please try and look after yourself. I wish I was closer so I could come to the funeral on wednesday. Anytime you are feeling alone, jump on here, call a friend, I wish there was more I could do, I feel so awful, such a terrible thing to happen.

Helen- Yes good idea to talk to your ob. Its better to talk now and get things in place. I can understand you'd be freaking out bout the thought of twins, I know I would be too. Juts tell yourself to take each day at a time. Will you have family to help out after they are born?

AnnaT - thats great news re the scan! congrats!

Helen - thats good news you will talk to your OB, I understand how you feel re the PND, its good to get it managed in pregnancy particularly before the birth of your twins, it helped me heaps to be managed with my PND and the birth of Tara. I do still have good and bad days though, the meds just even it out a bit more to more good days than bad in one week of you know what I mean.

Good news girls, we took Tara to the MCHN today for her weigh in checkup and she gained 300g in 2 weeks and is now over her birth weight which is great!

Jodi - have you heard back yet from the daycare? Thats shocking, I wouldnt take her back..or like you say move her up the room now insist in it or taking her out. Good to hear Emily's face better.

Shell - how you doing today? Hows Ash and your little bub in the tummy?

Thanks everyone for asking how J is going. Took him to the docs, only because I was concerned that it was in fact slap cheek and not hand/foot/mouth, and be it I am pregnant, it needs to be checked. Anyway he needs to have a blood test tomorrow just in case. I hope he isn't going to end up with a rashy face forever. It is not that noticeable, but I would hate it to stay there forever.

Jodi - Glad Em is getting better. I think that if you don't get a satisfactory response, you should ring department of human services and report the centre.

AnnaT - i am glad the scan went well, and hopefully there is nothing to worry about with your Ovary.

Bea - I really hope you can sort something else. it sux that all the responsibility gets thrown on you.

Mrs T - Hope the surgery goes well. I am sure it will.

Caddie - Hope your new meal plan goes well.

Mt poor DH was oncall last night and is exhausted. He worked all day, then he got called out at 10pm till 2am, then 5am to 11:30 am. Needless to say he is exhausted!!

Meg- Is the rash more spotty or like bright red? Ash has had both and I remember with HFM it was more spotty type on her hands/ feet/ mouth (obviously, hence the name!) and when she had slap cheek it did have that look of a slapped cheek and she also got a red rash over her abdo area and then I did realise that before her rash came out she had had cold like symptoms and been bit irritable. Is the Dr gonna take blood test from you? I think if your preg they meant to check you by blood also to keep eye on the pregnancy.

Belle- Thats great to hear Tara is doing so well. Sounds like the BFing is going really well.

Chrissy i hope you are eating mate and taking care of yourself.
Annat good luck with your scan.I am sure you are very worried but please dont until you find out. Congrats on your baby's heartbeat. I hope its a girl for you!

Well my mum and dad come home today.:dance: Finally someone i can visit and talk too.
The girls are sick with colds.I was up most of the night. A little tired but not to matter.Its going to be 23 degrees here!!! My body can thaw out in the sun.
No results from scan so perhaps that is great news and i dont have to worry.I am now taking my vitamins and hopefully will feel better soon.
