Vixstar- Ooh good luck with ttc #3!
So how did we all survive the heat? I sat plonked directly in front of the a/c so wasn't too bad but omg nearly died of shock when we actually got some rain! Not alot but it was something.
Can't wait for our big June meet up!
FIL has his Op tomor now, we were lucky to be there today when surgeon came in so got to ask our questions and get explained exactly what going on. He seems pretty positive op will go well, will buy him more time, we want him to be around to meet and spend time with his new grandchild and I think he really wants that too.
-
Sending +++++ vibes for FIL and the rest of the family Shell
-
You got rain Shell! Whoa! Musta been a small patch, cos I don't think we got anything! Wishing your FIL all the best for tomorrow.
I made garlic mushrooms on toast for dinner tonight and whoooooo at my breath! I love garlic though. :p
-
I hope everything goes well tomorrow Shell. Please let us know how he goes.
Rain, we have some to spare :D It's raining so hard ATM that I can't even hear myself think! We had food on the shelves for a whole day yesterday, now there's hardly anything left. Roads will hopefully be open this week.
meg - those photos are gorgeous!! Are you happy with them?
ETA:
vix - didn't see your sig before. Good luck with the 'russian roulette'!!!
-
Jodi - Yep they turned out really well, and Chrissy was just awesome.
DH had a shocker of a night at work. A lot of the ambos had to go home as their homes were under threat. Spent a lot of time treating people with smoke related injuries. Our house is filled with the smell of smoke and the sky is still a terrible colour. We had a good bit of rain though.
-
Jodi- Just wanted to say good luck starting back at work tomor, how many days will you be doing? The extra money will be very nice and helpful.
FIL op went well, just a matter now of waiting and seeing how tummy reacts, apparently can take the tummy 1-6 weeks to start contracting to push food thru so we'll see how it all goes but so far so good.
So weird to think all those floods up north and here all the terrible bush fires, send all that water down here to put them all out, very tragic all the lives and houses lost. Good friend of Dfs hasn't heard from her uncle and its not looking good, he lived in a town right near Kinglake so not best place to be.
I heard there is arsonists trying to relight the fires, should be shot.
-
DH is bracing for another difficult night at work tonight.
My very good friend who is on this forum and 12 weeks pregnant is in Beechworth. She is fine at the moment, but I am worried that she will push herself too far.
We were meant to be goingto Bright tomorrow to mow etc, (the holiday house) but we won't be going until we know it is safe.

morning girls.....
Shell - how did FIL go with his Op?
Have been trying all morning to get on the Red Cross site and by phone to make a donation...can't get through on either. That is good news though, hope the cash donations take a little weight off the mind of those poor, poor fire victims. I cannot even comprehend what hell must be like.
My Dad is in South Gippsland but is fine. He knows what he is doing, my sister isn't working due to Jonee PS being closed. Mum is a nurse and work partime with the ambos so I dare say she has been working around the clock.
Well, I have two sick little boys today and I think I have their bug also. It is 22 degrees here and I am all clamy (sp) and soooooo very tired! Was just getting into bed at 11pm last night when the phone rang (my heart STOPPED thinking it was bad news0 and it was a friend from the UK calling about the fires. He has been watching it on Sky News and was horrified. Understandable>
hope everyone has a better day with the cool change, all the pregnant mummies and the CFA, RFS etc I ams o tired I don't think I am making sesne. Hope the kids fall asleep soon, I need some myself.
Take care,
xxxx

Hi Girls
how are we all?
Shell - good news the operation went well for your FIL, sending lots of postive vibes to him for recovery from it. Has your DF's friend heard from her uncle...praying she has had good news.
How are all the VIC girls going - Maz, Nelle, Shell, Meg... - I hope no one was caught up in the fires. How devastating, I have just been watching a bit on TV - absolutely heartbreaking for all those poor people...I don't know what else to say it is a huge tragedy...
Vix - how is your household - recovering from the nasty bug yet???
Jodi - how is it being back at work, big change, I hope it goes well for you. How are the rains up your way. Crazy weather....
Okay, we are fine here, crazy but fine :) Think Rylee has been having nightmares/night terrors, has been waking up screaming but has her eyes closed and still seems to be asleep, poor little mite.
Okay, should go and get on with things.
Hugs
Laurin xxx

laurin - J does that exact same thing.
Vix - hope you all get better soon.
Today when I dropped J off to FDC he started bawling. He didn't want me to leave. I felt terrible. I hope he is OK.
-
aww meg, it is heartbreaking when they do that, but I bet 2 mins after you left he was happily playing with his friends...
-
Laurin - we're alright...fires are 70km either side of us but ok :) have taken 5 bags of clothing from us, plus books and toiletries to a sdrop of spot a local MP is doing this morning. Nikolaus has donated his gameboy and thomas the tank books...he makes me so dame proud that all I can do is cry
Im so gald to hear you didnt go to beechworth meg.
Vic - im waiting until after my stocking on saturday before Imake any donations.
One of our BB girls has been hit by the fires...Falguni or Ange...she finds out today what state her hosue is in but she's lost her dog already. Luckily she was away for the weekend otherwise god knows what would have happened :(
Who's coming in June??????????
-
I hope to come in June.
Ange is in my belly buddies group. I am so glad she happened to be away for the weekend, so at least she didn't have to make any decisions. They were made for her.
I am picking J up at 4:30. I hope he has been alright today. I hate leaving him upset.
-
Oh god poor Ange, how devestating, its just awful how something can cause so much chaos and misery. My friends uncle still not found so they pretty much preparing for the worst now.
Meg- Ash went thru a funny stage a few months ago for me, suddenly started crying when I was going off to work being really clingy, maybe he senses change with baby coming along? I've been trying to get Ash involved in everything, washing baby clothes, setting up bassinet that sort of thing. Where you planning to have bubs?
Vix- how are you all feeling, time for bugs, me and DD have been sick for past 2 weeks with variety of probs.
Laurin- Hows Finn going with settling and everything? Things getting easier for you, i can only imagine how hard it be with a toddler and bub on your own.
I'll be around in June, I better read up what we are doing but I'll be there!
Just got back from my midwife appt. Bubs has definately dropped and is down in pelvis ready for action. All is good, she said she thinks this bubs will be smaller than what Ash was. Then she said see you next week, maybe in labour, lol, that would be great. I am counting down the days, all the things Ash wants me to do with her so hard with this tummy!

hi ladies!!
we are fine over here too
on saturday we were celbrating Tiarna's first birthday with a big party at our house
later in the afternoon we seen the smoke rising close by.... the narre warren fires were only a few streets away from our estate.. thank god the wind was blowing it away from us but so sad for the houses that were in its path. my thoughts and prayers are with those going through this terrible nightmare.
sorry cant really find many words right now to write... just choked by whats going on :(
-
Lurking and reading, but not posting.
Having a bit of a crap time of it, looooooong story short - I pulled a stomach muscle so moving is hell, Jett has a cold and has taken to waking 20billion times a night which = no sleep for me, just feeling generally depressed. Then to top it off I find out a friend has had a m/c and Im the LAST person to know, via facebook even. I thought we were better friends than that and considering Ive been there several times would be a bit more experienced in offering support so Im a bit bewildered by it all and dont know what to do (selfish arent I!) Seems petty considering whats going on right now in Vic so I feel 10 thousand x's the loser :(
Im thinking of our Vic girls though - Maz I really hope the fire stays away from you! Ambz, glad to hear your ok! Happy birthday to Tiarna! Shell, not long til you pop and I bet you cant wait if your as over being pregnant as I am.
Hugs to everyone else.
-
Oh Anna,
I hope that you are feeling better soon.
-

Oh i hope falguni's house is ok... Its just awful this whole business. I just suppose we have to help in anyway we can with money, donations of goods, shopping at coles etc. Anything. I cant even imagine the horror of it all.
Glad maz and ambz are all ok.

Hang on, I was going to reply, but we need a new thread first.
Alright. I hid the link to the new thread, mostly because I can. :p
