Babies Born September 2006 #108

Shell - The genetic test results for my cousin now won't be in till Friday, so I am hoping that all goes well for her.
We were just at Phillip Island last week as my parents have a hol house there. J's fave thing was going to the Koala conservation park. He is still talking about that "lala's."

Not much else to really say here today. This bubs is engaged and ready to go. 10 weeks and counting....

Not sure when I'll get on as I have my GCT tomorrow morning (early ugh) and its payday so groceries etc. As well as being our 4th wedding anniversary, think we planned on dinner out with the boys or something........so my birthday wishes are early :)

Happy New Year to you all. sorry I have been such a slacker, it is busy here, my Mum & Dad left on Tues so I have been on my own till tomorrow night when DH arrives back for a couple of weeks. Finn seems to have colic - has a few hours a night screaming and I just have to walk around with him to keep him happy, sleep seems to be at a minimum at the moment. It will get better......I'm sure :) Last night Rylee and Finn were playing tag team and waking up all night. But he is a gorgeous little man and great during the day so I won't complain anymore.

Okay, gotta go, I do lurk but mainly when bf and I am hopeless at typing one handed.

laurin - it sucks big time when they play tag team at night doesn't it. We've had a few nights of them in the early days. And like you said, yes it does get easier. Just hang in there. Sounds like you are coping fine though, so good on you!

:hug: Do you think it's wind Laurin? Si was a windy baby, and I learned a few tricks to help us out. I found some good advice in the BB colic section actually.

Mind's gone blank now. Will be scarce still, Rans and I are either using no internet or only 30min each day - and super limiting our tv/games time too. It's been so great for our friendship, we're not numbing our minds but actually hanging out (so if we're playing video games together, the rules might relax a bit), and the house is clean and washing and dishes ALL done! :o That's pretty close to miraculous for us.

hello stranger!! Great to hear you're still alive and kicking :D It's surprising how much time people play on the internet isn't it. It's wonderful to hear you and Rans are connecting with one another again. And going to bed at a reasonable time, I can't believe it! :o

We went to a BBQ last night, it went later than we thought it would, got home at 10.30, didn't get Nina into bed till around 11.45. I'm not a happy camper, neither is Heath. Heath started work at 6.30 this morning, and Emily woke at 5.15.
But last night, my BIL was at the bbq, and he was on call (he's a paramedic). So he showed Nina the lights and sirens on the ambulance. She was soooo excited. All she kept talking about was Uncle Jamie's ambulance.

Jodi - J is the same. Considering DH has the ambulance in our driveway at least 3 times a week. He calls every ambulance Daddy's car! You mut be so tired today.

Nelle - DH just got a wii for Christmas, and despite him saying that he won't get hooked, he has already had a few late night.

My cousin got her results for genetic testing with her baby that she lost. THere is no genetic link, and it was just "one of those things." She has been advised that with her next pregnancy to take asprin, and have strict monitoring. So I am hoping that she is ableto get pregnant again soo, as she really wants to.
Also my sister told us that she is 8 weeks pregnant, so that's nice news.

meg - how does your cousin feel about the results? In a way she must relieved, but also she must be sad to think it was just one of those things, and there's no real answer. I do hope she goes on to have a beautiful little baby one day. And congrats to your sister! It's all happening in your family isn't it.

I managed to get a 1 hour sleep when Emily went down for her morning sleep. And I feel even worse than I did before.

Jodi - She is happy that she has an answer, even if the answer if that there is no answer. She said that she is a little scared about doing another pregnancy, but she is going to go to my obstetrician that is right near her house and will offer her many exta scans and as much monitoring as she wants. So she feels a bit better about that.
I gave her my obs details a couple of weeks ago so that she doesn't have to ask me for them later down the track, as I think that they want to keep their next preg very low key.

We are back from Phillip Island had such good time, exhausting but fun. Wish we could've stayed longer. Ash had a ball, she slept in til 8:30ish every morning just cause our days were so full on, non stop. She keeps saying today, more holiday house want more, lol.

Meg- I guess the next pregnancy will be a very stressful time for your cousin, I'm glad she finally got an answer and prolly will ease her mind next time round knowing the Ob is going to do whatever she needs to help put her mind at rest.
Where abouts is yr parents holiday place? We stayed in Sunderland Bay, a teacher matt works with has place right across from the water so gorgeous views. We'd love to have our own place tho. We skipped the koala place and went to the wildlife park they had at the big worm instead, was so good, got to feed kangaroos and emus. Ash did get a scratch from a wallaby tho.

Jodi- So after the late night how was Nina's mood today? I so try to avoid late nights cause I know I am the one who is gonna to have to suffer the next day with crankiness.

Nelle- Thats great things going along well. Sorting out sleep patterns but posting at 2am (and blaming friend staying over, lol). I remember when we had no internet for awhile and what a difference it did make to my housework, place was spotless! Didn't mean more talk time with Df tho, he never is a big talker.

Laurin- I don't know how you do it on your own while your DH is away! Hopefully once he is back he can spend some nights pacing the floors with Finn and you sleep. Like Nelle suggested check out the colic section and just try whatever, hopefully something will work.

Maz- A late birthday wishes to Mateauz! Its amazing how well he has done in the past year, think a combination of his fighting spirit and yours has got him where he is today.

Meg - all I can say is hugs to your whole family hun.

Thank you eveyrone for Mateauz birthday wishes.....he has just made our lives so complete. He has started letting go of furniture and taking 4 -5 steps, stops, laughs and plonks himself up...i think he might need a brace still for his left leg it turns slightly (quiet noticable for me anyway) so we'll see whta the physio says.

have to tell you alla funny story....Vy got a baby born for christmas with a potty and jed came out yesterday sayig Vy has put 'cordial' in the potty. Well tonight he comes out saying the same and I say well smell it...i bet its not and sure enough...Vy has been gettign her small butt onto her doll's potty and weeing in it...in her room. I think its so funny...she's a dag

Shell - Parents house is in Inverloch. They rent it out over summer so I don't get there that often but we always have it between Chrissy and NY. Next year will be awesome as we will have our new little one, and my sis will also have a bub to take!!

Just enjoying my second bowl of ice cream with ice magic. DH is on night shift tonight, so I might sneak in and get J and put him in with me for cuddles tonight

As for #3, still supposed to be a while off, which I guess is okay, I'm not keen for a 20min labour and bleeding to death or anything. Still, we're playing with fire currently, so who knows.

Which reminds me, Kell - is it you that has the girl recipe? I may as well ask you now while I'm thinking of it.
