Welcome Mich! We don't talk as much as we used to, but we're always around :D
Since you're a Melbourne girl, you'll have to come and join us at the massive meet up we're having in Melbourne on the Queens B'day weekend.
https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...kend-june.html
Congratulations Rach!
Meg - sorry to hear you're having a rough time ATM. I hope it settles down soon. The girls have given great advice so far.
helen - Oh my goodness, that would be so scary! Good luck with the specialist appointments, let us know how you go with it all. How are the twins going?
And as for me, I'm enjoying work, but I do miss my little princesses. I have a photo of them on my desk and I talk to the photo all day long :D And I constantly ring daycare to see how they're going. The girls have settled well into daycare, which is great. And we're starting to get into some sort of routine now which is making life easy.
Heath and I even went out clubbing last weekend! It was the first time we'd done that in about 4 or 5 years!! It was a good night, but we paid for it the next day.
Gotta run, Packed to the Rafters is on. Talk to you all soon.

Jodi-Glad to hear that work is going well. It must be hard leaving the girls, but it must make it easier that they have settled in to day care which is great. Yah on going out clubbing. That's something Leith and I have never done and dont plan on doing it. We try to get out for coffee quite often, it's quicker as we have the 3 youngest with us. Cant wait till we can go out for a movie.
Gabriel is crying, better go before he sets Tallulah off. Minxes let me have 4 hrs sleep last night so I am stuffed.
-
Jodi - Glad yo uare enjoying work.
Helen - Poor little man. How did you work out he had sleep apnoea?
J has def been a challenge the past few weeks. Very clingy, and getting out of bed and wanting to get in with us. Tonight he won't go to bed. Keeps getting up and coming out. Might have to put a baby gate across his door. He ADORES the baby, but I think it is not being the cent of attention that is hard for him. I feel like I am yelling at him all day, making him act worse, probably as it is a way to get my attention. It is esp when I am feeding, and he knows that I can't get up. It does upset me that I can't give him the attention that he needs. He is still my little man.
Mum is coming over tomorrow, so he will get a lot of attention tomorrow. Although I do special things with him. Today I took him to the park. with Miss E in asleep in the sling, so he was able to spend a good 2 hours with my undivided attention. Silly as it sound, I miss him, as I am so busy.
-
Not silly at all megs. Millana and ruby have 22months between them and millana was the first child and grandchild and was very spoilt with attention. Even now she is very one-one when tired and will manovore herslefp close to me and push ruby out. Ruby gets the attention because she is the baby and cute and millana is very manipulative at times when she wants to be close to me but i feel for her because now she is older she is no longer as cutesy as she was when younger so some family members can get annoyed at her. I find it very hard to find a balance between them both, esp when now they both want me. Before millana was dad's girl but now she is mine again.lol

Meg- Ikwym, I feel guilty too alot of the time, esp when Ash wants something but Em is crying and I have to give my attention to Em first so feel Ash is always being put second. I try make a big deal when we do things and point out just big girls can do whatever it is we're doing and babies can't do it, that sort of thing. I also try make big deal over the good things she does. Ash went thru the clingy stage more when I was preg, we went thru a time where DF couldn't do anything for her but thankfully stopped before Em came.
Jodi- Is it full time work you are doing? Yay on the clubbing, haven't done that for years and years! I forget what its like going out. Its great the girls have settled well into daycare, makes it easier for you to go to work and I bet the extra money coming in is nice.
Helen- Does sound scary bout the apnoea. Prolly be best if they just take his tonsils out, when is his appt? Hope the tantrums settle, be hard work with twins as well! How are the twins sleeoing at night?
Laurin- When does your DH get back again? I always think how you are doing it on your own when I find it hard with Df being around.
Em already has her first cold so we got barely any sleep last night, she just has snot everywhere and finding it hard to feed and breath, then that caused her to vomit after every feed. Been using the saline drops today so helped a bit, hope we get more sleep tonight!
-
Hey all,
Meg - I am so with you on challenging behaviour, everyday, I feel guilty that I can't spend one on one with Rylee, I really miss our closeness that we once had and feel sad that I get cross with her because I am so exhausted, etc, etc. Finny has been having 20 minute cat naps through the day, it is driving me nuts,,,,
Shell - we have a cold here too, his nose is really bugging him and yes sleeping and feeding aren't great. DH is supposed to be back early next week...
Helen - hugs to you, hope Eithan gets help quickly and things start improving for him.
Jodi - great your girls are loving child care and yay on going out, wow, I can't even remember what it is like to go out at night.
Okay, better go and try and get some sleep.
Laurin x

Hi Girls,
Long time no post in here! But just thought I would give you all an update on Ainsleigh... She's doing really well, a real little character and chatterbox. She is still going to daycare two days a week while I work which she loves! She escaped through the doggie door to play chasey with the dog... at 9pm the other night!!!!! Then when the dog got put in time out she said, 'BUt Mummy, we was just playging' She has dropped her day sleep, and even though between 4pm and 5pm are very difficult for us, the fact that she now goes to bed at 7pm without a battle makes it all worthwhile!!!
The reason I popped in though is we had a massive break through this week. Ains has been super difficult at night, always wanting to come in to my bed (I can't sleep when she is there so won't let her in) and waking me up to five times a night. I was getting so over tired and stressed so someone suggested a sticker chart. I thought she was too young, but I tell you... miraculous! She gets a sticker for eating her dinner, brushing her teeth (something she can easily achieve) and for staying in her bed all night.... first night, one visit asking for a drink.... have not seen her at night since! It's only been three nights but I am so excited it's working I thought I'd share!
Hope you and your toddlers, new babies and pregnancies are going well..... I think of you often.

Hey Rikki!!! :D That's awesome news with the sticker chart. And loved that photo of you and Anna at her b'day drinks - looks like it was a good night.
Still struggling without glasses here. Been wearing my sunnies, but my eyes are still getting really strained and I end up having a massive headache by lunchtime every day. Not good, but only have to get through 'til late tomorrow arve before they arrive.
Maz - Going really well with your weight loss honey - WTG!!!
Jodi - That's great news about your little princesses going well at daycare. And time out with Heath as well!! Lucky you :D
Best go re-boot the laundry, bit overcast today, so got everything going in the dryer.

Hello everyone!
Hi and welcome to Mich!
Jodi - Hope you are feeling better and can talk soon. (saw your post on fb) It's great that the girls are settling into daycare and that you enjoy working!
Bea - How is your foot?
Nelle - How are you and the boys going?
Helen - Hi!!
M3G - Hope your new glasses are here soon.
Sorry to who I missed and Hi! I have been slack - working full time is proving to be a bit stressfull, but we will get there. My house however doesnt ever seem to get really tidy! I only managed to get on today cause I left work early as tiana has been complaining of a sore tummy so they called me. After a visit to the drs though he said she has a cold and cant find anything else. She seems better though and has done some funny no2's, so I think she may have been a little constipated :(
What does everyone's 2 yr olds like to do now? Tiana is right into puzzles. hi 5, dancing, singing and counting.
Oh and good luck AnnaT! Not long now!!!

Jodi - the meet sounds great, but can't make it sorry! Long weekend is DD's first birthday! My baby gorwing up too quick, June will be here before I know it! I hope you all have a fabulous time together!!
Meggimoppit - OUr DS did that a little after DD arrived, there is 21 months between my two, onyl lasted a short time and he was back to his normal self. I couldn't work out if it was the new baby or that he had hit 2! Although I am now certain it was the attention factor, last week DD ended up with croup, long story short we had to drop him in a hurry at my parents house and ruch to next town over with bigger hossy for DD to go into hossy. For days we were back and forwards to doctors, they wanted to check on her everyday, he became a little terror (little being the key word, was not really that bad!) but everyone was so focused on DD for days on end, poor little mite started to get a complex I think!
Rikki - your DD sounds simply adorable! The sticker chart sounds like a fab idea, might pinch that one for DS!
Mum3girls - hope your glasses arrive soon, must be frustrating!
Marnikat - My DS is into puzzles and coutning at the moment too, and has discovered Dora the explorer, (I hate Dora!!) And now is insistent that as he says 'my do it' to everything, so everything that can normally be done in an instant now takes ages while he does it himself. Frustrating when you are in a hurry! But very cute to watch. He is like a monkey, he copies Everything we do!
-
Mich- Your DS sounds just like Ash, she ia always saying "Ashy do it" and she totally is in love with Dora.
Marni- At least if your working full time you're not there to notice if the house isn't tidy, lol. Ash is into puzzles too, Dora, singing songs that involve actions, Thomas.
Shar- Hope you've got glasses and can see again!
Rikki- Good to see you again, glad to hear things are going well. Sticker charts sounds good. Lol at the doggie door story.
We're going ok here, just taking each day at a time, seeing how much sleep we can get! Bought a hug a bub which has come in handy otherwise don't think Em would sleep all that much.
-
Am I THE only person who has nothing to do at 6pm on a Saturday night? and is checking BB? How sad is that.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend.
-
