Thanks for the tips re: constipation. Well Nina's done 3 poo's today, which is great. I'm going to continue giving her prune juice every couple of days and hope that helps in the long term.
Jodi.. my sister always said when her kids were constipated she'd just give them some apricots and they were fixed.. you can get them in the Heinz jars also or do what anna did and mix em into her breaky.
Anna**.. i forgot to mension, thats great youve put on some weight.. hope thats due to an added little person! Thank you for the thoughts re FIL.. im trying not to think about it too much as yet as im just getting angry and frustraited at i dont know what. I still hope and pray theyre wrong.
Well very quiet in here tonight.. hopefully everyone having a nice night..
Hey all, I've had a busy day today, Tyler 3rd Birthday so it's been fun. I've gotta get everything organized for his birthday party tomorrow morning. We're having it at a park so the house doesn't get trashed, lol.
I had the best kind of dinner tonight, one i didn't cook we went to a friends house:D
Paige has been throwing up lately I don't know if this is normal she had reflux but is over it now but just the last couple days after every 3rd or 4th bottle she will spew. Got me a beuty tonight.
I hope everyone is doing fine and all the bubs are good.
Ellie
Kell - Re the apricots, I just buy the 'pie fruit' ones. They are 100% with no added anything. You can puree/mash/chop to suit your needs. So much cheaper than baby ones! (You can also buy "pie" Apple or Peaches too). Thanks for the congrats re the weight gain, aint no bubba baking tho!
Ells - Xander is reflux bubba too so I totally know what it is like to smell like spew. Wasn't so bad when it was just milk (tho that was ick enough) but now we get technicolour! yummo. Hopefully they grow out of it soon! Happy 3rd Birthday Tyler!
Maz - How are you now? No more :spotting: I hope?
Belle - Sorry I didn't get to call you back, we got back late from the vet and my cat is still pretty out of it from the surgery so just been keeping an eye on him. Will call you tomorrow.
We had such an awful night last night. Nina went to bed at her normal time, 6pm, slept till midnight, then that's when the fun began!
Since last week, she's been really unsettled, especially at night. We always have the cd on for her at night while she's sleeping, the cd started playing up and would stop and start throughout the night. And last night, it stopped at midnight and I couldn't get it back on. Nina ended up waking up and I couldn't get her back to sleep, no matter what I tried. She was really tired, but it was like she couldn't sleep without the music. She eventually passed out (and yes, she literally passed out) in bed with me at 5am. She woke briefly at 7am, but is back in bed now.
Yesterday I bought a new cd player as I thought that was the problem, but it turns out it's the cd, so I'll have to get a new one this morning. Mum said this morning I should have just put on any soft music for her, but I was so tired, I didn't even think of that!
kel/anna - I didn't think of apricots, she loves them, so should give her more of them.
annie - when do you leave? Have a good trip!!
well I am cold bloody southly wind you girls down south getting snow or something when we get this wind usually means snow somewhere :cryinglaugh:
well Jack went down at 11pm *yawn* he only had 2 1/2 naps during the day passed out at 6.25pm and slept till 8pm *sigh* he was happy but just wanted me, Jase got home around 9pm and he had a bit of a play but still Jack wanted me, so in the end I took him to bed with me, gave him a bottle at 10.40pm (BTW he had one when he woke at 8pm) and put him in cot at 11pm and he was out to within 10min, then jase came to bed he got called into work at 3.30am and is still gone, but on a good note jack is still asleep, now why am I not
thinking of crawling back in till Jack wakes but I know my luck I will go back and he will wake up as soon as I am comfy
ok gone
Rach- What kind of work does Jase do? He seems to be always getting called in!
Jodi- Yeah try any soft music. Would you consider at this time trying to wean her off the music? Hmm maybe not if she was awake for that long!
Anna**- Thats for that idea with the pie fruits, I usually stew my own pears but buy apples in jar so that'll work out alot cheaper for me. Lately you have been my ideas queen.
Ellie- Happy birthday to Tyler, great idea bout having it at the park, hope its nice weather, my sister does that every year, luckily my nephew's birthday is in summer so we've always had good weather.
Kell- I'll be thinking of you today, hope its not too bad the news.
Maz- How are you? Anymore spotting?
Ambz- Where do you work? How was the first day back?
My parents are coming over today to check out the 2 houses we like and give there opinion. Hopefully the sun will stay out a little while longer. God its been so hard to wash this week, my clothes stay on line forever.
:dance:Belly belly is back and running:dance::dance:

Hello all,
Well i just found out why james spiked such a high temp on Thursday night. On Saturday he broke out in a rash, so we were off to the GP. He has something called "Roseola Infantum" This is quite common in babies, and is very contagious. It starts with a high temp for 3 days, and a very upset bub. Then after the temp goes, a rash appears. (Not itchy or sore tho) The rash usually lasts another 3 - 5 days or so. Apparently it is part of the Herpes virus, although not connected with cold sores.
Anyway I thought I would post, so that if anyone else's child develops similar symptoms you will have an idea of what it might be. - Oh and there is no long-term problems, and it is very rarely fatal.
Omg, such withdrawls I've had from not getting on here!
Meg- Thats good to know whats finally going on with James, how is he now? Is he alot more settled and temp back down?
Rach- Ahh that would suck being called in 4 times! But I bet its good pay being on call. Be annoying though if you are doing something and off he has to go.
Ash is very upset today, put her down to sleep at 10:30 and she is still not asleep, she has been screaming but at the moment she is chatting!Go to sleep girl!
Df is home having a sicky so he gets to help out with cuddling the screamer.
youd think it would be good pay but nope no extra for being on call its part of their work place agreement
Meg- have heard of that if it gets icthy give him a bath in pinetasol helps heaps
Ruby and i have colds. My eyes are so watery. But no respite for me as i got to take millana to swimming lessons as she missed last monday because ruby had a couple of vomits.
Meg hope your boy makes a speedy recovery.Surely they must have some effects like achy joints? Weird just a rash and temp?
I can hear poor ruby coughing in bed.
Um,how r you maz? Has the bleeding stopped?
How are the other pregnant mummies?
Ok not much else to report apart from feeling a little crappy but i can be thankful its just a cold and not something sinister.
Hows ainsleigh now and the bronchitis?
Hi temp back down and he has slept through the past 2 nights. Still a little grumpy. He only wants to eat pears. I think because while he was sick, I gave him his favourite, so now he doesn't want anything else!!
He is also sleeping in the day much better. In the past week, I have been lucky to get him to do 40 mins basically all day. This morning he has been asleep since 10:15am, and still asleep. I am sitting here wondering what to do, expecting him up any minute!!
Meg - Xander has Roseola (or Sixth Disease) not that long ago. Once the rash appears, he should feel a lot better as the fever will have gone. The rash isn't an itchy one (if it's itchy, it is something else) so he wont be uncomfortable and wont need treatment. Not all babies even get the rash with the virus - most get the virus by the time they are 4 years old and it is a super mild virus. As far as I am aware, the only cases of death were because the parents' gave asprin which can cause Reye's Disease.
Maz - How are you? No more :spotting: spotting I hope?
Jodi - Xander went back to sleep after our convo (after a big grizzle) - so I think you are right, he has forgotten how to go back to sleep after 1st sleep cycle.
Caddie - Hope you feel better soon.
Shell - Sending you heaps of hugs. You really sound like you are having a rough time again as of late with little Miss Ash. Do you think it is a seperation anxiety thing?
Rach - I'd try waking him up earlier in the morning, many babies are up by about 6-7am. Don't let him nap after 4pm either and start settling him around 7pm after his bedtime routine. Other than that, dunno what else to offer as that is how we got Xander to go to sleep earlier.
Not much to report here; Xander is super clingy and suffering badly from seperation anxiety which pretty well means he is either attached to me, or screaming because I've had to put him down. Done a bit of reading and it looks like he'll start getting better at around 15 months or so as right now he has no idea that when I leave, that I will/wont come back. Poor little guy, must be terrible to feel abandoned (even if he isn't)
Nessa - Maybe make an arrangement with your DH that if he runs out of smokes, he'll have to have Nicobate or similar instead. Might entice him to quit and then you can spend the money on something useful!
Sorry girls that ive be AWOL - needed some thinking time. Still spotting abit but hey...trying not to think about it. Did another pg test and its so bloody dark. Who knows?
Sorry if i gave the runns to anyone (RAch ;) ) must be all the $hit that comes out of my mouth and finds it way on here.
Caddie - im sorry to hear that yourve got a cold. So hear you on having to soilder on.
Anna - hows your darling cat mate?
shell - I cant go to the loo either without my 'shadown' either crawling behind me or scremaing the house down...we need to run away.
Only a quick - ive gotta make some lunch for Wilhelm
BBL
yeah Anna jase reckons I should try waking him in the morning and eventually he will get the idea to go to bed earlier :dunno: as for naps after 4pm bit hard when ya kid will be playing put his head down and go to sleep thats how he has daytime naps I dot put him to bed or anything he can be playing he goes quiet I look over and he is asleep :dunno:
like I dont care if he is up at 9pm no drama to me, but 11pm 11.30pm *yawn* is all I can say, he used to go down around 8-9pm and sleep 11hrs had no probs with that but since starting solids we stay up all night :dunno: so tomorrow I shall wake him around 8am that way i still get a sleep in too ;)
