Yeah I reckon, he'll pull himself up soon enough, I've just finished babyproofing at one level, I'd like a breather before I have to move everything higher yet again!
And big sooky hugs to those who have dishes to do, I've got some waiting for me too. Not stacks like usual, I'm determined not to let them pile up this time. But yeah Shell, I have to make a whole lot of baby food too...what did you make? I'm thinking about using my little star/soup pasta and maybe some tomato and...not sure what else yet. Might see what vegies I have.
-
Complain all you like Shell, that's what we are here for.
Nelle-Nope not frozen, but yes it is cold outside.
Fed Eithan a roast meal last night. Cut up roast spuds, juliened carrots whole, brocolli, cauliflower and roast chicken shredded. I put it all on a plate and let him have it. He loved the whole hands on thing and ate heaps. So happy, if I had fed it too him , I know he would have gagged etc, a bit messy, but good anyway.
Better go, Eithan is asleep, so might try to coax Bella into bed with me and have a nap.
That sounded awful LOL but you know what I mean.

Wow all the Mums are back on again...
Better make this quick before Rylee wakes up.....
Kell - you poor thing - those migraines sound terrible - I sympathise with you. Do you think they are hormonal - I don't know if this will help but I used to get them loads when I was on the pill and started taking Evening Primrose Oil which helped a bit - just an idea.
Maz - You sound flat chat running around after everyone. We will be in Johannesburg for another 6 - 12 months - too long if you ask me, I would gladly be back in Melbourne in a heartbeat.
Shellbell - I need to start getting tougher with Rylee and do what you are doing with Ash - ie, not feed her all the time when she wakes during the night. Sometimes it is the easiest thing to do just to get them back to sleep...
Chrissy - Poor Caity - hope she is on the mend.
Meg - way to go with James' sleeping - send some sleepy vibes over here please.
Rach - I am with you on the renos - we were rennovating for about 18 months - at one point we were cooking our meals on a camping stove in the bathroom - its all fun and defnitiely worth it in the end.
Helen - Buggar on Eithan's sleeping but lucky little man with his roast dinner. Rylee still doesn't have any teeth - bit of a slow starter - tho my mum said I didn't get teeth till I was 12 months so maybe she takes after me.
Caddie - Yay on your cleaning hubby!!
Nelle - There will be no stopping River now he's pulling himself up.
Nessa - looks like we are all back in action on the forum.
Sorry if I have missed anyone. Where is Anna and AnnaT?
Have a great day girls - we are off for Rylee's 9 month check up and measles vaccination.
Laurin :)
-
Hi Laurin, goodlcuk with Rylee's chk-up and vac. Yep no teeth here either, but Bella didnt get hers until she was 10mths so I am hoping that Eithan will get his by then.
Well I enjoyed my 10min nap although I could have done with more. Even though he has no teeth he was still able to eat the roast well, plus he chows down toast for brekky in the morning aswell. Ugh he is crying again!!!! This cold and teething, poor bubba but tired mumma.

Im lurking, its hard for me to have the energy to post right now, most I do is a quick read through. Im just so tired lately, cant wait for that rumoured burst of 2nd trimester energy. Ry had the arvo off so I had a 2 hour sleep, I feel a bit better now, if only I could do that every day but Jett is lucky to sleep 40min. Except for when he is babysat by others or Ry has him, then he goes down for an hour+30 like he did this arvo *sigh*
Im still tossing up daycare, Ry thinks its a good idea but I just cant bring myself to ring any. I feel so guilty even contemplating even a day of care because Im a SAHM.
Otherwise Jett is good, being a funny guy and running me ragged. Still not sleeping well of a night, I need to get off my butt and ring the sleep school too.
I feel tired just thinking about all thar. BBL.
Thanks for asking after me Laurin :)
ETA - holy crap Im 8wks tomorrow! I just looked at my ticker and thought no thats so wrong Im 7wks3dys or something but nope IM wrong lol 4 more weeks til hopefully all this tiredness and m/s ends.
-
Ness - James now has 3 teeth.
Helen and Maz - sending you toothie vibes.
Shell - we only got a dishwasher 8 months ago. I will never go back. I love it. DH thought that it was the perfect time to renovate our kitchen around my due date. I went into labour the day the kitchen was finished!!!
Nelle - James' favourite recipe is chicken with leeks and rice. Basically slice leek and dice chicken. Then put 3 tbs of rice in 300mls water and boil. Then add rice and chicken & boil till cooked. Then blend up.
laurin - sending you HEAPS of sleepy vibes.
AnnaT - Just because you are a SAHM, doesnt mean that you dont need the break that childcare can offer.
Well thats about it for me at the moment. We just picked up our new car today, a Suzuki Grand Vitara. Brand new. It is great. Will be perfect for our move to Gisborne (50 kms North of Melbourne for all you non Victorians) DH now gets novated lease, so we are selling the XTrail.
I am off clothes shopping tomorrow with my mum. Nothing fits me any more. I have gone from a B cup to a DD and I cannot squeeze into any of my winter clothes. No problem with pants tho. I am actually smaller that I was pre bub.
-
Meg- When are you moving? You looking forward to it?
Ness- Lol at your dishwasher, my Df does the dishes every now and then but you can't tell cause they still have food left on them!
AnnaT- Don't feel guilty, if one day of child care is what you need then go for it, I don't see why not, Jett will prolly enjoy the interaction. What are the waiting lists like up there?
Laurin- How'd the check up and vaccination go? I know what you mean bout easier to give the boob, some nights I'm just too tired to argue with her so I just give it but try not to too often cause I don't want to undo all the work I've done.
Helen.p- Wow Eithan is eating well, I still have to mush all Ash's food, she'll only take finger type foods if I break off tiny bits and put to her mouth, if she has it in her own hands she is just not interested.
Nelle- I made Ash a mince, potato, cauli, broccoli and corn mix. Plus I made a sweet potato, apple, rice and chicken mix, mmm that one was yummy, I wanted to eat it.
I am soooo tired, nearly fell asleep on couch earlier, Ash exhausted me today, she never had that arvo nap.
Then we turned our back for a second today and she pulled the pram onto herself and bashed her lip hard enough to make it bleed, blood was everywhere the poor thing. She didn't seem in too much pain though, I just got her to suck on a cold wet flannel and it stopped, we felt so guilty though, this is our first injury.
-
Poor Ash, her first owie.
We are moving from North Altona to Gisborne. We move at the end of August. I am not looking forward to packing up the house, but looking forward to more space. Also DH will be working from home once we move, so he will no longer be away 8 days at a time, as he will do his 8 days from home. Basically they get to take the ambulance home, and if they get a call thet meet their partner at the job.
-
I hate packing and unpacking. Be nice though to have hubby at home all the time. I grew up near Nth Altona, just in Newport, my parents still live there.
-
another bad night here, no sleep again, craig came home from work at 12midnight to help as caity had totally refused any form of liquid, and was screaming for hours, we were about to go to hospital at 2am, but craig didnt want to bring the other kids, he wanted to leave them here by themselves asleep.........I DONT THINK SO!!.....so he got the sh*ts, and anyway we caity finally calmed down a bit in my arms he went to sleep, and i was up again at 3am.......mind you not that i actually slept, but i finally got a bottle of milk into her, she has lost so much weight, its amazing.......i have a doctors appointment today, so she will be cominbg as well.
i used to use family daycare for my kids when they were young, i found that really good as it wasnt as full on as a day care, and there is only a small number of kids in a home environment, i just got a quote from a day care centre up the road and its $35 a day, thats with the centrelink % come out, so there is no way we can afford that, but it would be nice to have a day free once a week:)
-
Aww Chrissy what a bad night....I really hope the doctors appointment goes well for you and Caity is on the mend and you do finally manage to get some sleep....you must feel like you are at the end of your tether with this.
-
Helen.. howd you go last night with the sleep? hope you got a little more.
Nelle.. Yay for toothy pegs! We have another 2 at the top too!
Lauren.. yeh ive been getting migrains since i was in year 7. At one stage they seemed hormonal and would come the week before AF was due.. the the doc put me on estrigin (sp) tablets.. which did nothing.. then they started coming during the month but in doeses of 3 in a matter of 2-3 days.. then wheni was pregnant with Jesse none! When i started back on the pill after him, bam i got them again, so stopped about 4 months ago or so.. now this was the first ive had since then.. which is close to a record. So i have no idea whats going on. I might try some of that stuff you mensioned, couldnt hurt.
AnnaT.. wow happy 8 weeks! lol Hope it eases up for you soon
Meg.. ohh new car! how cool!
Shell.. hope you got some sleep last night..
Nessa.. put your clothes back on.
Anyways.. i need some food.. back later..
YAY its RAINING!

:(Neesa I'm a bit sad to know that you are feeling this way, although I can relate to what you are saying (I self harmed late highschool yrs), I think that you should go to a dr and talk about this with them. It's not a healthy thing to be thinking about all the time and maybe the dr can refer you on or help you deal with this thoughts and perhaps suggest ways in which you can deal with feeling out of control. Hurting is not the only way to feel alive. Huge hugs, I hope that you havent taken offence, but go and get some help please.
Shell-owie poor little Ash. I hope that you can find yourselves a house soon.
Meg-Thanks for the toothie vibes, but still no toothe here. Yah on the new car.
Kelly-Still no sleep here, I am totally not coping at the moment. The house is messy, I have piles of lean washing to put away etc but I think I just need to go out today to help me calm down. I know that it's not the be all to have a tidy house, but with no sleep it is just really getting to me. I have a bad headache which could head migraine way, so I have taken some panadol and hopefully that will help. I still dont know how you cope with migraines all the time. I go months where I can have 2-3, but not every month like yourself.
Chrissy-I hope that Caity gets better soon, it sounds absolutely awful. Hugs.
To all those I have missed, sorry, Eithan is screaming.

Ness,i totally agree with helen regarding self harm. You need to speak to your dr or someone about it. You can lose your self of identity when looking after your kids but when these thoughts start to pop in its time to reevaluate. Are you on meds currently for PND? i cant remember sorry?
Chrissy you poor thing. You should have left craig at home with the kids and taken caity but usually when they take a bottle they on the way to recovery.Just dont make it full strength formula, only half as less chance of vomiting it up.We have gastro alot millana and i.Millana had it bad 3 times last yr.But we know what to do now.Little different with babies. If you also gently pick up her skin if it doesnt bounce back she is dehydtrated.
MM,well same ol last night.Just getting up to the kids, resettling, wishing i was getting sleep as im sitting up in the dark but my sleep time will come.Im trying to remain rpositive!
Gym for millana, still deciding weather to go.Im feeling slack.
Annat if you going to put jett in daycare do it now!!! Millana refused to go and its harder with 2 bubs so let him get use to it now before the baby comes along and you have 2 much to deal with. If he hates it dont take him anymore.
Shell, poor ash! they do bleed alot dont they!! At least it wasnt your fault.I clipped millanas fingers with clippers as a bub and that was awful.I took her to the ED as i thought the top of her finger would fall off! silly me.
River congrats on your toothy pegs!
happy 9 months ryley! sorry i missed it.
Meg thats lovely your hubby can spend time at home.Is it more of a country town with being able to take the ambulance home? He must cope some flack with the weirdos out their.I always think ambo's save the lives initially and the drs then patch up the work!! Hope theirs no dr's floating around!!!
-
Morning all,
we had a better night, woke at midnight then didn't wake again til 6:20. Yay.
Chrissy- How is Caitlyn doing this morning? She managed to keep more fluids down? Let us know how things go at the Drs for you and her.
Ness- as others have said its definately best to talk about all that before you do do anything. I know a couple of self-harmers and its not nice. also maybe give yourself some ideas of what you could do if the feeling strongly arises such as calling someone you trust just to prevent yourself doing anything.
Caddie- One day that dream of sleep will come, you will be the one trying to drag them out of bed! I've done that too cutting Ash's finger with the clippers, luckily just a little.
Helen.p- I so know what you mean, I find when I am sleep deprived the state of the house really gets me down yet there is no energy to clean and tidy, best thing to do is go out so you don't have to look at it, get some fresh air.
Kell- I was the opposite, I rarely get migraines yet when I was pregnant, in the 2nd trimester I was getting them all the time.
Well I'm off to lunch with a friend today. Be nice to get out and about.
-
Helen.. you have to do whats best for you and like you said the house work is not the be all end all.. it can wait. Go out for a stroll if it will make you feel better.. the fresh air im sure will do you good.. or even just curl up on the couch with a blanket, a cuppa and watch Dr Phil! Youre only going to do more damage to yourself if you do the house work so have a day off! Get your self back to gether and then do it.. it will be there tomorrow.
Ness.. :hugs: hun.. hope today helps hun, but i think whats in order is a trip to sydney! :)
-
Thanks Guys
Caddie I am with you I am looking forward to 5 yrs from now when I can sleep through, no wet beds etc. The countdown begins LOl
