Congratulations nelle!! Thats wonderful news to hear!!! Cant wait to follow your pregnancy as it progresses and everyone else to.
I kinda feel left out though as i want to be preggars too! but alas no more kids for me.If i did aaron and i would end in divorce i think! We wouldnt handle the stress.
So i will just have to remember all those old feelings through you gals!
And i really hope you TTC get your positive soon as im sure you would like to join in the excitement of all whats happening too.
Id go the clomid Anna. You'd have as much risk as I did to get twins and even I managed to only get one. Im still surprised about that (but happy I must admit, one more is enouh for me). As for your cake topper - OMG I wish I was as talented as you! If we were in Perth Id pay you to make me a cake. Hmmm I want cake now, might have to make one. Jett usually only has one day sleep (he's on his 2nd today though, think he's having a growth spurt) so if Xander is showing signs of not wanting a second one then I say just drop it and see how he goes - can always pick it back up again if he doesnt cope. :cryinglaugh: Fluffy fart mail, I love it!
Hey Ness, how long are you staying in Sydney for??? Ive been considering ducking up there for a few days if we get enough tax money back (so I can stay in a hotel and NOT at my mother's) and if I can I might tie it in with when your there so we can all meet up!
I layby'd a new pram yesterday - a Phil & Ted's e3 sports buggy (the 2006 model). I got it and the toddler seat for $545 on sale! I am so happy, Ive been dreaming about owning one but never thought we'd have the money (or find one here) but alas I did and I cannot wait to take it for a spin.
congratulations nelle! :happyforyou:
anna** - as you know Nina is down to one sleep, has been for a while now. From the sounds of it, it sounds like he's ready.
:hello: sharleen. Hope everything is well with you.
congrats annat on the new pram. That sounds like a good price too.
I'll bbl, Nina's lost a bottle (her fault of course!) and she's left it up to me to find it!
Oh, and by the way anna, she's gone down for her 2nd sleep :dance:so much for only having one sleep a day!
AnnaT.. oh sweeet. Thats the pram i want to get when i fall pregnant (if that ever happens!!!). Bargin! How do you pronounce Carys and Thijs?
Anna**.. oh wow! you are so clever! Xander is so lucky to have such a clever mummy, he is gonna be the envy of all kids celebrating their birthdays!!!!
My dibs are on you Anna to be the 3rd for April dues!!
Shell.. hows work going? how many days do you have to work?
PMSL fart in an envelope.
A minkie nappy is on its way to me, well soon anyway.
So I guess your house is clean Nelle. LOL.
Leith has been telling me today that it's me, that I will be the third. Hmp that is highly unlikely. Well AF still hasnt come, which is good, because due to ovulation it shouldnt be here until mon-wed next week. Dont know why I would have spotted last night though. Anyways, I have always had irregular AF.
Must go.
Love
OMG - you guys have been going for it while I have been asleep - I love waking up and reading all the posts....okay gotta do this quickly, while R is still alseep....
Nelle - CONGRATULATIONS, CONGRATULATIONS, did I say CONGRATULATIONS....wow that is great news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, I'll try and remember what everyone said.
Shell - you must be exhausted, glad work went well and you are right I don't know how people go back full time, I am tired enough as it is. So well done to you. Love the idea about the Sept BB welcome home party, that would be very cool and fun.
Jodi - on the tanty side, yeah I agree she is just trying to get a reaction from you, think we are heading into the tricky toddler age soon with lots of challenging behaviour, gawd!!!!!!!! DH works for a mining company, he is managing a new uranium mine up in Malawi but is based in Johannesburg for the time being.
Kell - sleeps, yeah, it's a hard one, at the mo, R goes down about 11 am till 12 pm but then by 4 pm she is tired again, so I try and keep her awake so she won't stay up till 10 pm but last night she fell alseep having her dinner and then wouldn't go to bed until 10 pm and I am trying to get my uni stuff done in the evenings and DH goes to the gym so it is all a bit painful. Also, loving the preggars/TTC chart - yeah, I am definitely a fence sitter at the moment.
Maz - how are you feeling hun - is the ms getting any better?
Nessa - any signs of ms for you.
AnnaT - how is life going for you, any improvements with things?
Anna - you've gotta be next in the pg line!!
Big Hello, to Belle, Annie, Helen, Chrissy, Caddie, Sharleen, Annie...
Have a good one.
Laurin :)
Wow there has been a lot of talk today!
A big congrats to Nelle. I was definitely suss on you ;)
Kell - Loved the chart you did. What a great idea.
Anna - On the sleeps thing. James generally only has one sleep a day now. He has been doing this for about a month. I always put him down for a *rest* though. He suprised me and had 2 today. He has just woken up!
Jodi - Did you find Nina's bottle?
Annie - very noice.
Nessa - Is it sinking in yet?
Shell - you are a youngy. I am in my 30's.
laurin - It is strange that you are posting in the morning, and it is late arvo here!!
what to do what to do.... i have just been offered a transfer for my old job.. it would be full time.. so scary ... so wil have to think about this tonight ..yikes.. leaving the kids..
Helen.. ooow could it have been an implantation bleed???????? oooooowww!
Sharleen.. whats your stats on TTC? will there be another for you? Need to add you to the list! Good to see you pop in every now and then though!
Annie.. oh wow.. yeh would be hard going back full time.. guess you have to do whats best for your family in the end.
Well think im gonna go feed and bath jess a little early tonight.
oh oh implantation bleed *maz sreaming with hands waving excitedly* fingers crossed honey
Annie - BIG decission..only you know what is best for you
omsl fart in envelope...i dont want one thanks...pass
Hello everyone else
Have jsut loaded some pics on my homepage of little Miss Vy eating her brothers texture AGAIN!!!!!! Just wanted to share cause their funny and I needed to share my laugh with someone
bl**dy hell - I am listening to Rylee scream her head off - I am trying to get away from walking around the house to get her to fall asleep before I put her in the cot, 1. because she is getting too heavy. 2. Because she is never going to learn to fall asleep herself, so I have been going in every few minutes - this is is h*ll for me listening to her cry, but I can't go on the way I am, it is driving me nuts. It is also embarassing as we are in an apartment block and you can hear her cry outside - so everyone prob thinks I am a bad mother.
ETA Just gave in couldn't stand any longer so did the usual walk and she fell asleep on my shoulder.
Sorry all about me...
Laurin
God I am tired, I haven't been able to rest all day, had whingy clinger on my hands but think she's caught a cold cause this arvo she started sneezing and her nose is all runny. Hope she sleeps alright though, don't want it getting any worse!
Sharleen- Nice to see you popping by, poor Ambah hope she's feeling better.
Laurin- Big hugs, hopefully eventually she'll learn to fall asleep herself. Does she settle if you sit by her while she is in her cot and maybe pat her instead?
HelenP- I was thinking implantation bleed too and if you have AF like feeling could be preg ones instead.
Annie- Hmm thats a hard decision to make, would be hard going back fulltime and having 2 kids. Were you fulltime before Alexander?
Kell- I'm only doing 2 days week at moment. Might go up to 3 days down the track. Glad to hear your loving your life.
Anna**- We can have 29 midlife crisis together, a friend also said 29 was her hardest year. I think Ash too is trying to cut down to one sleep.
My brain is so foggy I can' think straight, need sleep.
Shell - Grab an early night.
Laurin - anyone who is a mum would know that you are not a bad mum.
James is still wide awake *singing* in his cot. Obviously the afternoon nap has kept him revived and ready to party all night. Just goes to show that he does better with only 1 day sleep.
Laurin.. oh you poor thing. Would standing in there and patting her to sleep help any? When i transitioned from rocking Jesse as he was getting too heavy, i started out by rocking him in his room. When he started to nod off id then put him in bed (if she starts to get heavy take a chair in and rock on the edge of it). I did that for a few days and slowly creeped it up to putting him in bed when it was bed time, but id stand in there next to him, put his dummy in etc. If he got all worked up and started crying or screaming i would pick him up until he settled back down again and was on the verge of falling asleep, then put him back to bed where he's soon fall asleep there. Once he got use to being in bed with me next to him, as he started to fall asleep, id walk to the other side of the room where he couldnt see me and wait for him to fall asleep. Again if he got upset id go back to him. Just repeating that process slowly, he now can be put in his room and fall asleep himself. Its a long process but it seemed to work for him quite well, rather than the sudden transition to fall asleep on his own. But :hugs: hun you are doing a great job and you are a great mum!
Sharleen.. hehe.. hope Ambah gets better soon poor pet.
Shell..poor ash. Try and get an early night if you can. Hope shes better soon.
sharleen - hope Ambah comes good soon. You doing much for her b'day at the end of the month? We're just having a bbq with family. That was a shame Bre was sick for her b'day.
laurin - is she asleep now? I hope you didn't get too worked up over it. I'm sure people understand what it's like to have a baby. In an apartment it must sound 100 times worse.
Following on from Kel's advise, when I'm trying something new, I'll always do it for 3-5 nights, if it hasn't worked by then, I go back to the beginning and start something new.
megan - Nina is the same tonight. She only normally has one day sleep, but she had an hour late this afternoon, and is still wide awake now. She's normally in bed no later than 6.30pm!!
shell - hope you get plenty of rest tonight. When do you work again?
Well,by the sound of that hehehehe sharls has got something to say? mmm
And i agree helen could be an implantation bleed? Interesting.
Laurin know how you feel sometimes regarding the sleep.
Ruby has 1 sleep a day sometimes.Today she went to bed at 12pm and slept 3 hrs.So lots of cleaning was done and had mum for dinner too.If she sleeps in the am even for an hr she rarely has an afternoon one.She just rolls and talks to herself in her cot.
Great pram annt! wish i could have had one but no chance now!!
I didn't even get that caddie - at least you're on the ball. We're onto you now Sharleen :p
I hope things do start looking up for you. Ambah is going to love her b'day party, and so will all the other kids!! I think if we had other kids, or we knew people with other kids, we'd have a big party too. But Nina is the only baby/child in both our families.
Hi ladies, after talking to hubby about things we have decided that im going to accept the full time job that has been offered to me.. Its going to be a hard slog but it will be worth while. My new manager has told me that i can try and find a job share partner so this is what ill be hoping for and then ill be part time..
So i know have to try and find a nanny/day care etc.. so will check in a couple days..
O and i need to go clothes shopping! I have nothing to wear to work!
Good morning....
Hope all the little ones slept like babies last night! Mine was up a few times..
Annie.. good for you hun. It will be hard but like i said, just think of all the benefits in the long run.. plus if you can find a work buddy that would be great! Id love to do it! Too bad in a different state! lol
Anyways.. neeeeed neeeed neeeed coffee this morning like zombies need their humans!
Eeeeeek implantation bleed????????- the thought had not even crossed my mind. If I was preggers though I would be completely ecstatic about it. We are trying not to fall preg just yet as I am waiting to get into my endicrinologist and I cant get into to see her until Oct. We havent really done anything to really fall pregnant. We use doms, apart from once last week but it was put on 1/2 way through so if I am preg it is one lone ranger spermie that has done it. Anyways I dont think I am, I just think my cycle is all over the place. I am hoping that Anna is next, sending some baby dust your way.............
Well Eithan has decided that now is the right time to chuck a tantie, so will be back later for personals.
Ok back again.
Sharleen-I hope that Ambah gets better soon.
Annie-Whooohoo on the job. Yes I reckon it is scary too, but you will do great and the kids will be fine. Have fun shopping for some new clothes.
Shell,-I hope that you managed to get some rest.
Laurin-Rylee sounds exactly like what Bella was like as a baby. Sorry but we had so much trouble with her, if we did anything else she would vomit everywhere. If it helps she did grow out of it and is a terrific sleeper now.
Hi Caddie, Kell, Jodi, Maz, Anna, AnnaT, Nelle, Belle, Meg, Nessa, Ambz, Vixstar, Rach, Chrissy, Rikki and all the people I have missed, sorry.
Oh and we will be hoping to TTC late this yr. We have told our families that we are not having anymore, so TTC is a secret, but you guys wont tell, will you???? We arent telling family because it took soo long to concieve Eithan and the pressure from family from the constant asking if we were pregnant was just awful,. They meant well but nevertheless it was hard to always say no. So this time we will do it in secret and then share the happy news when I manage to fall pregnant.
Love

Glad Ambah is starting to pick up :)
I am sitting here eating my morning tea, and it has just occured to me that I have not had a panic attack in about 6 weeks now. I think that it is because of the support from all of you in this thread is why I am feeling better. I find this thread a way to debrief, and say things that I don't even tell my close friends. You girls have allowed me to express my feelings, and listening you your stories makes me realise that all babies have their little quirks, and they are never going to be perfect all the time.
I still get a little nervous about a few things. (he is not cruising yet, and has really only just started tummy crawling) but I know that he will get there in the end.
So a BIG THANK YOU to everyone
Meg- Good idea, we can start ttc at similar times, we were loking bout July next year but will reassess closer to the time.
Shar- Good to hear Ambah is alot better.
HelenP- We will keep your secret, ikwym though we made the mistake of telling people we were ttc Ash and it took nearly 1.5 years so ppl asking all the time are you preg yet and then asking why? Whats wrong with you doesn't go down too well.
Annie- Congrats, be great if you find someone to job share with, you think you'll get nanny in for the kids or child care?
Ash has decided her fav thing is putting things in and out of things. Its fine when its her toybox or something but when its the bin its pretty disgusting. She's learnt how to open it too so thats a pain, gotta watch her closely she always up to something!
Oh anyone heard crumpet toast? I found it at supermarket this morning, not as good as a crumpet but nicer than ordinary toast. Though its hard to eat these days seeing as Ash isn't in to sleeping, used to wait til she had a nap.
ETA: Thats great Meg bout the panic attacks and you're right it is great to see how all bubs are just so different that you don't have to stress what your bub is or isn't doing. I think I'd go crazy without everyone too. The only advice I really get outside of here is my sister (which is great) or sil and mil and according to them their kids always perfect sleeping thru so early doing this or that.
Meg.. :hugs: its been wonderful having you hear and getting to know you. Im so happy for you not having any panic attacks, and im glad that our madness on here is keeping you from them! My msn is usually always on when im home so if im away give me a buzz, i wont be too far away from the computer. But its so true.. our little bubs will get there in the end, they all do things at different stages.. Jesse still doesnt say anything that doesnt sound like babble. He'll babble bub bub bub but thats it. Doesnt say mum mum or da da.. but he'll get there one day. Same with James and his cruising. I say as long as they have a smile on their face, thats most important.
Shell.. yes! We bought it last week too! Gray loves it.
Sharleen-Great to hear that Ambah is doing much better. Eithan had it a few weeks ago and it is so horrible for them.
Meg-That's wonderful news, great that you can rely on us for some honest information. I love it that everyone is open with their own issue/problems with bubs and hubby's, makes me feel less isolated.
Shell-Yuck the bin!!!! Eithan hasnt pulled himself up on ours yet, but you can guarentee that when he does he will figure out how to open it too. Yep that crumpet bread is nice.
Well Bella still wont eat, it has been nearly a week now and she will hardly touch more than a bite of anything. I just gave her a scoop of icecream and she didnt even eat that! Better go, waiting from a call from Leith and I have to get off net so he can get through as I have hidden my mobile somewhere.
Love
Helen.. the poor chook. Is there anything she will eat? Mum once said my sister did something similar at that age. All she would eat was the occasional vegemite sandwiches. She took her to the doctor who said just let her eat them. She will eat when she is hungry, she's not at the age to want to starve herself yet. Hope she starts eating again though.
Helen - when Wilhelm doesnt eat I get some incremen into him. Its a liquid (god I was going to say fertilizer then) multi vitamin for kids that arent eating...it really helps boost him up and within 3 days he's eating again. Its in a tallish bottle with a yellow label on it and a giraffe and its about $22 a bottle but so worth it. It took me ages to find something that would help and i hide it in his milo. Big hugs matie...I know were your coming from. Wilhelm went 3 and a half weeks with out eating just after we had Vy.
BBL Have a sick little pooh coughing her lungs out
Big hugs to everyone with sick babies..
Thanks guys, I think it is this darn cold thingy causing problems. I spoke to Leith and we are basically giving her full go at our pantry at the moment just so we can get something into her. She just ate a few doritos, so things hopefully will start looking up.
Off to start the nappy hunt.
Love
My mum used to give me that stuff when I was a littley cause I never ate, I turned out healthy though! Mum said i used to try give it to my brother cause I hated it and he liked the taste.
I'm sure Bella will start eating again when she's ready, just keep up her fluids, does she like soup? Maybe blend up some vegies in a soup.
Happy 11 months Ainsleigh honey
Helen - No probs for forgetting me!:p Its a very busy thread this one so we are bound to forget each other from time to time.
Jodie - Thanks for reading my TTC journal. I hope you don't fall asleep....:cryinglaugh:
Shellbell - Thank to you also for the well wishes.
Kell - fanbloodytastic list. Where do you get the time or can you type super fast????
Nelle - Well done matey. Hope all goes well for you. :happyforyou:
Meg - Thats great news. I have a gf who suffers from Panic Attacks and as a child she had night terrorsfrom what I understand. I know with my PND I would panic about the smallest things. 6 weeks is along time and it means you are getting better, just concentrate on that gorgeous light at the end of the tunnel. When you get to it, it will be lovely and warm and make you feel revitalised.
Bails is teething.:wall: Took Rick and I two hrs to settle him last night, after an hour of trying to settle him this monring I ended up going for an hours walk with him and he slept for about 30 minutes. He refused dinner last night, spat his food out for the first time actually. This moninrg he only ate half his wheet bix and started spitting that out too. Dribble dribble dribble....out come the bibs again. I gave him Nurofen after our walk and within 20 minutes my happy baby boy was back.
Who else is teething?????? I think we will deserve a liquid lunch when all those molars are through.
When can they have Milo??? Not that I am planning on feeding it to him but I was just curious.
xxx
Hheheheehe I got you Vixstar you are just hidden LOL. I hope he settles with all this teething soon. Sorry dont know about milo.
Maz that's no good about Wilhelm going for so long without food after Vy was born.
Shell unfortunately we have a really fussy child here, she wont eat hardly anything as it is. When she was younger I am sure she was on a twisties and yoghurt diet as they were the only things she would eat.
Love
Hey Ho
Ok, where do I start this morning....
Meg - so happy for you regarding your panic attacks that is great news and all the Sept 06 Mums are honest, open and supportive so we are all very lucky to have each other.
Sharleen - great that Ambah is on the mend, hope she is back to her usual self very soon.
Annie - congratulations on your decision, it always feels good when you have made your mind up and it will all work out.
Helen - Yeah, Rylee is a bit of a non-sleeper and you are right about the vomitting, another reason I hate her getting worked up, the vomitting is pretty awful isn't it?
Can't remember who else said what. Another bad night - not just with Rylee but with DH too - he had to get a report done so was up till 4 am in the morning and kept waking me up asking me how to do stuff on the laptop - grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.......... .checking into a hotel sounds pretty good at the moment.
Anyway, today is a new day :)
I was going to tell you girls - most of the mums at my Mums & Bubs group have live-in Nanny's to help them out - how would that be - it sounds good in theory but I like being the one that Rylee wants when she is upset, etc not someone else.......
Gotta go,
Laurin:)
thanks for your support girls.. it was a very hard and stressful choice.. TTC has been called off! So please put me next Sharleen! or maybe next year..
Vixstar - I'm under the assumption that pretty much any food is fine once they hit 1 - just use common sense ie no caffeine etc. Like any sane normal person in their right frame of mind would give a bub a caffeinated drink :cryinglaugh:... can you imagine the implications! You still have to keep an eye out with new foods and allergies. Other than that, it's really up to you what you feel is suitable for your child. IMO, dilute Milo isn't that bad (if you don't add sugar) and an easy way to get milk in if toddler is being fussy.
Shell - I've seen the crumpet toast, haven't bought it but wondered what it was like. I love crumpets!
Annie - Congrats on the job. Hope you can find someone to job share with - but if not, it still sounds like a great opportunity.
Maz - That photo of Vy eating the blue texta is a crack up. My god what a mess!!! Is she still blue?
Meg - You don't need to thank us hon. We are all here as a support to each other... you support all of us, we all support you!
Sharleen - Good to hear Ambah is on the mend.
Rikki - How's the new job going? Is Ains settling in nicely at day care? I can't wait to catch up with you... been ages, I bet Ains has grown heaps! Happy 11 months to Ainsleigh.
Helen - Hope Eithan feels better after his tanty. It's amazing how fast these little people of ours are growing up... nearing toddlerhood already. eek.
Big hellos to those I missed. xxx
