Oh dear i hope Vy and Wilhelm are feeling better soon Maz..
I hope Vy & Wilhlem get better soon Maz. I'm sure she'll be 100% after her cake! hehe
i need a glass of wine
Maz poor me one too hun.. Jess is teething something bad this afternoon.. cheaks are bright red, pulling at his gums. Just constant crying.. Have given panadol.. the only thing that has stopped the crying is Elmo's World.. he's so whingy.. best get back to him..
oh maz, i do hope the kids get better soon, and just a little bit of wine wont hurt that much.
fathers day here has been good, cooked crossants scrambled eggs and bacon, with all the kids helping, craig has just left to take his kids home, and we had a bbq for lunch, so not much dinner here tonight as i think everone will explode.
caitlyn is still not 100% last night she slept in our bed.argghhh, craig suggested that, right when im ovulating, thats not the way to conceive!! anyway the last couple of days she has screamed the house down as soon as i leave her in the cot, well as soon as i walk out of the room, god i hope it doesnt continue.
Happy First Birthday to the very beautiful Vy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maz - I am so sorry you had a sick bub on your hands today, hope you have had that glass of wine by now.
Kell - Also sorry to hear about poor Jesse.....
Rikki - Great that Ainsleigh had a good day - hope she got to sleep - Sharleen how did your party go...
Well, DH is in agony - can't move - he picked Rylee up last night off the bed and put his back out, so I was up half the night with him - he literally can't move - is in excruciating pain - and we have the party today - I want to cancel it but he wants it to go ahead and will probably end up going to hospital - not a good start to the day - I feel like crying - wait I have already done that at 3 am this morning - let's up something happens to improve the day - we have a fridge full of drink, meat and salad stuff and a very amateurish birthday cake so if you guys lived a bit closer I would be having a Sep 06 BB BBQ.....will keep you posted.
Laurin :)
:happybirthday:Happy birthday VY!!!:happybirthday:
Has anyone watched Scrubs? I want to say 'awkwarrrrd' like JD does, but it's just not going to work in written form! Haha.
Bummer about the illnessess/injuries getting the way of parties! Been enjoying the party pictures as they dribble in, love hearing what pressies your little bubbas get! They're all so bootiful.
Chrissy, what a bummer bout Cait needing to be in your bed! Had a chuckle re: Craig's father's day booty...every day is Father's day, hey? Haha.
Jodi, that's great you had a good weekend away. Rans and I realised we haven't had a 'date' in awhile, we'll have to tee that one up.
Told the inlaws we're pregnant today, and I think half of their hometown knows by now, judging from the sms's we've got. I was hoping news would filter out slightly more slowly, but what can you do?
I had a teensy bit of bleeding which I tried to stay calm about, but I'm not feeling as sick now, so I think it might have had something to do with the placenta taking over.
Has anyone heard of shouting 'huzzah!' at the movies whenever the movie title is spoken? Rans thought we should shout 'huzzah!' whenever the word 'father' came up in the songs at church today. :p Got a good giggle out of that.
Anyway, I'm thirsty. Hope everyone's doing well and has a great sleep tonight. xo
Hi all,
We've had great fathers day. My family came over for lunch and we went down the lake for a bit, very nice, then IL's came over for dinner, we just got chinese but so full now.
Nelle- Was it much bleeding? Or more just spotting? You better get some date nights in before number 2 arrives. It reminds me we gotta get out too, I think we've been out once in this last year!
Ness- Some poeple do need to get a life, if she has to snoop she mustn't have much going on! Or maybe we are just all so exciting in here.
Laurin- How did things go? Party still continue? Did your DH have to go hospital? My mum injured herself few weeks back and ended up having to call an ambulance cause she just couldn't move.
chrissy- Ash went thru a few days of doing that and I've spent a fair bit time patting her back til she falls asleep, once she is asleep shes ok was just matter of getting her to sleep. You might have to wait til caity is asleep and sneak into lounge or something, put somewhere in the house to good use!
Kell- How is jesse? Teeth come thru yet? God these teeth are a pain.
Maz- How'd your day turn out, any improvements on those sick kids? What number glass wine you up to now? :D
Jodi- Glad to hear you had great time away, bet it went too quick.
Rikki- Just looked at those pics, Ainsleigh is gorgeous! She looks older than she is.
Just popping in to let you all know I won't be around for a little while. Heath's going in for his 2 surgeries tomorrow, and will be in for 1-2 nights, then won't be able to do much for 5-6 weeks. So I'll be looking after him & Nina. As Mum is still recovering from her surgery I won't be getting any help from her either.
So when Heath is up and running around, I'll be back.
See you all in a few weeks!
Happy Birthday Vyolett
OMGosh so many sick babies and hubbies. I hope that they all get better soon.
We are up to 69 LOL. Come on guys I thought you were all excited about this thread. Gosh I am soooo jeuvenille.
Better go.
Love
Lol haha helen trust you to notice!
I have had a few wineys! probably some for you maz. Hope little vy is better. How sad she is sick for her party.
Get better hubbies and babies but i caznt type anymore as me too much too drink.
evening ladies!!
happy birthday beautiful Vy!!!!!
hope everyone is well or getting better.
i have been flat out last couple weeks with Savanna being sick and also organising her 1st birthday for this coming weekend.
She was getting over a cold which then developed into a viral infection then she also developed an ear infection and is taking anti biotics so hopefully she will be better for her birthday.
We put a phil&teds sports pram on order today cause my brother is going to buy it as savannas pressie. i absolutely love it!!! so worth the $$$. we picked the bright blue with the camo inserts.
hope all the daddies had a great fathers day. my hubby was spoiled rotten so i made sure he remembers today when xmas rolls around hehe
I have my 2nd ultrasound tomorrow!!!! fingers crossed bubs wont have legs crossed! :)
take care ladies and babies
luv ambz
xoxoxox
helen, i was born in 1969 so i get the *69* thing all the time.
ambz, hope the u/s goes well for you today and you can find out the flavour
maz, hope the family are feeling better
jodi, thanks mate, see you in a few weeks
shell, well she had another screamer of a night, so i put her on her fold out lounge, she slept for around 2 hours, i carried that down to her cot and put the whole thing in it, slept the next 30 minutes then it was on all night long......arrrhhgg so she slept on my lap on the recliner.
i think caitlyn is trying to tell us something if i scream for nights then mum and dad cant slept together......and no babies can be produced!!
Jodi- Good luck to DH with the surgeries. And good luck to you being his at home nurse, after awhile you'll be sick of it, well I guess it depends on what kind patient he is! Try pop on here still when Nina is asleep and Heath is resting.
Chrissy- Oh god, after all the screaming you sure you want more? You'll be too tired for any action! Df was born in 69 too he always makes the joke himself.
Ambz- Ooh can't wait to hear flavour of bub! Seems blue is flavour of the month at the moment.
HelenP- I noticed bout thread number too! I'll have to be juvenille with you!
Off to work for me today. Gotta take Ash to Drs first, that thrush or whatever I thought it was hasn't cleared, just stayed the same even after the cream, and its itching her. my bloody Dr's usually open 7 days were shut this weekend and everywhere else booked out over weekend but got in for this morn.
Nelle.. hope its just nothing and everythings ok.
Laurin.. hows your DH? hope hes ok and the party went well.
Nessa.. yeh just forget about people like that.. theyre not worth the pain and energy.
Shell.. not as yet, well i havent looked this morning but last night it looked even closer to being through than before so will have to check. Hows work going? I hope the doccan work out the thrush poor pet.
Jodi.. i hope everything goes well for Heath :hugs:
Chrissy.. what a sneeky devil.. hehe maybe its true and she wants to be the baby forever
Im taking Jess to the doctors this morning too. He had a much better night sleeping didnt wake after 10.30pm until 7.30am this morning, but has a bit of cough and his eyes are still all ganky.. this morning woke up all crusty like. I just wanna get him checked out to make sure everything ok, see if theres anything we can give him to help. Might dose him up on panadol before we go as i know waiting in the surgery will frustrait him, as it does anyone!
We are a miserable lot atm aren't we? All these bubbies and partners sick!!!
Maz - Poor little Vy sick on her special day. At least she is young enough not to remember being sick. Hoping all in your house get better soon, and it is not passed on to the rest of you. Did you have yourself a wine?
Chrissy -sounds like Caitlyn doesnt want another bubby in the house!!
Laurin - I am so sorry that you are feeling so miserable hun! Hope hubby gets better soon. I hope the party turned out alright.
Ness - how did you find out that they were reading your posts?
Nelle - I am sure the little bit of bleeding is fine. Best to ring your ob/gyn or midwife and let them know tho.
Shell -Glad you all had a great fathers day.
Jodi - Wishing huby a speedy recovery. Hope you go alright looking after them all.
Ambz - hoping Savanna gets better soon.
Kell - I would maybe forgo the panadol as you want the Dr to see the true symptoms.
Well we had another night of screaming, and he is in his cot going hysterical at the moment. Just went in. Ended up having to pat him to sleep. I really dont know what is up. I have tried everything. He is chewing his hands heaps, so maybe it is teeth. I jest can't seem to get him down at all at the moment. He used to be so good at going to bed and he loved his cot! last night I ended up sitting in a rocking chair in his room and just rocking him.
Just then when I went in, even though he was hysterical, he started smiling like - ha I got my own way. Any advice???
Anyway I am going to have myself a lie down while I can.
Meg.. you poor thing. Um have you taken him to see the doctor at all? I just went with Jesse and found out he has an ear infection and is on anti-biotics now. I use to be able to put him in his cot and he was either talk and/or fall asleep by himself. Over the past 3 days ive had to be there either cuddling and rocking him to sleep or patting him. And now we've found out why it makes sense. Might just be an idea to rule those things out iykwim.
So yeh as i mensioned, just found out Jesse has an ear infection and is on anti-biotics now. Doc also gave my some eye drops which is gonna be fun administering, but hopefully it will clear up his gunkienss and lets pray, stops his eyes watering. Poor little poobahh.. hes asleep now so will give him some when he wakes up and hope hes on the mend from now on.
all these poor sick babies :(
anyone got any advice Jack is on anti-bi's again and has the most awful nappy rash from the runny poo's which are from anti-bi's apparently he had it the other week when was on them as well, it is literally red raw, I was usign sudocream but that seems to be stinging him, I am trying not to use to many wipes but you need to use some IYKWIM I dont know what to do the poor darling screams during every nappy change :(
Rach use Lucas's Papaw Cream. You can get it at woolies or the chemists.. its in a bright red tub or tube.. and just lather that on.. i use that all the time now with Jess.. helps sooth them too. Poor little mite.
used that on him once and he had a bad bad reaction to it
Yeh well otherwise i dont know.. only other than trying to give him nappy free time, instead of using wipes use wet cloths and maybe a warm bath here any there.. if he drinks it, lots of water.
Xander is allergic to the Lucas' PawPaw cream... its' loaded with mineral oil and he reacts badly to it. Rach, def try using warm water and cloth wipes for a bit, even the gentlest sposie wipes can be a harsh when they have a sore bum. The only cream I can use on Xander is the Gaia one - so maybe worth a try?
Hello chickies
Just a quicky cause i need a nap. I was up most of the night with Vy who is still yucko. She just wants me...yay for me!!! NOT
Anna - yay for getting your AF back to honey..have you started on your clomid yet? oH how exciting.
Rach - did you get the invite? Is it alright?
Caddie - thank you for the birthday card matie..its gorgeous...im gonna have to find a frame for it.
Bel - you are a naughty, naughty girl!!!!! but Vy loves you
Hello everyone im sorry for being slack..just super tired
hi ladies!!!
my ultrasound has been changed to tomorrow morning so you'll all have to wait a little longer to find out the flavour :P
savanna had a modelling shoot this morning for target. she did so well!!! i really hope it makes the catalogue so keep your eyes open.
caddie - thank you for savannas birthday card!! so sweet of you. xoxoxox
rach- i discovered Herron nappy cream by accident as kmart had run out of sudocream so i decided to try it. its fantasticly awesome!!! since using it savanna has not had any nappy rash what so ever. Ive found its so much better than curash and even sudocreme.
shellbell- if im lucky it might even be my flavour too *fingers crossed*
id love another girl but the thought of hubby having his own little carbon copy is just too cute. i asked him what he wanted and he said he doesnt mind as long as bubs is healthy :) awww
nessa - lol at your snooping friend. some people really have nothing better to do.
maz- have you found out what you are having??
poor bubba has a yukky cough again grrrrr gotta take her back to docs to check her ears
have a great day ladies
xoxoxox
Ambz - techinican said he couldnt really tell but would guess that sunshine was a boy. Im having a 4D u/s on the 12th of september (omg next week). Yay for Savanna being in Target..we live to far out to do things like that and people keep telling me I should get Vy into it.
That's cool that you're not fussed about the sex Ambz, then you'll be happy either way hey!
We use the Gaia soothing lotion too...we use all Gaia stuff actually, it smells so yummy! River smells like my own little frosty fruit!
Sorry to scare you girls, it was only a tiny smudge of blood Thurs night, and a small bit on Friday night. It was a bit frightening at the time, because my sickness has subsided (yay!) and I was thinking, ohhh what if this is the start of heavy bleeding? But I read up about it, and apparently bleeding at 9-10ish weeks often has something to do with the placenta having burrowed in enough and so it takes over the hormone production and feeding of the baby and that can sometimes cause a bit of blood. I chatted to C (my friend/birth support partner/student midwife, but I'll say C, cos it's shorter), and she reckoned it was normal and I should be fine. Gave me a sleepless night at the time though!
Hope all the sickies are getting rest and recovering! It'll never end though I fear, winter has all the bugs, but summer will take them outdoors and the bumps and grazes and falls and accidents will begin! And it'll go on and on til...well who knows when? Til they're 90?
Hmm, my feet are cold...might go find some socks or slipper and a cardi.
ETA: Is the 12th of Sept only next week?? I get my nutrimetics order then! I thought it was ages away.
Nelle - Really glad to hear that the smidge of blood looks like nothing to worry about. Still always gives a bit of a scare tho!
Ambz - Yay for Savannah doing a Target shoot. I've had lots of people say I should get X into it, but there isn't anything over here in WA. I'll keep an eye for her in the upcoming catalogues.
Maz - Vy must've sent the squirty bug over to X, he seems to have it now. I'm hoping that it might just be a residual side-effect of the antibiotics hes' been on lately, but somehow I don't think so. When has Vy's party been rescheduled for? I start my Clomid tomorrow... so nervous, but excited at the same time. I hope I don't go too feral this time on it - Scott is getting excited about the fact that he will 'have' to have sex more than a few times this month.
Rach cornflour and vaseline is a home remedy but when my girls been bad ive used pink nappy paste from chemist.Very thick paste acts like a barrier and it works. The hospy's use it and and it has a stork on the front.
Poor babies all sick.Ruby been mega clingy and woke every hr last night! Something about turning one i reckon.
Making mini choc muffins to freeze for ruby's little morning tea on sat. No big party as my family not here. :(
Maz sorry thought I had replied yep got the invite, a friend also did up a couple so now for Jase to choose then print man I gotta get them sent LOL
thanks for the advice about his rash I think I will give him some nappy free time after brendan goes this arvie, thank god for timber floors if we have a accident easy to clean :)
Anna what days are you taking the clomid I am supposed to be cd5-9 with Jack I was naughty and took it cd3-7 but I wont have tablets in time for that so if I get them tomorrow I will do cd4-8 otherwise cd5-9 have scan booked for the 12th only good thing I get to go to rocky and see mum
oh I am so excited for the first time since early 2001 mum can come visit me she is either comign back out here on the 13th or catching the bus on the 16th will be here till the 21st so  (she hasn't been able to come out due to caring for gran :( )
ETA caddie do you just mix the vaseline with cornflour ???
:wall: Ive just got home from hospital AGAIN. Last night was the worst and scariest night of my life. We thought we were going to be coming home without a baby
TMI warning:
All yesterday felt like I needed to go #2 but everytime I tried it just hurt with lots of pressure, but no #2's. I had a feeling something might be wrong. After about 3hrs of back and forth on the toilet I felt something pop out of my *ahem* I nearly freakin died thinking it was Ripley :( Ry rushed me to the Maternity ward where they told me I had a prolapsed vaginal wall. Can you believe it??? Then I went into labour with really painful contractions and pressure. I swear I was about to fall into a heap and just give up. Poor Ry got the scare of his life and almost cried when the nurses started whispering about babies not being viable at 20wks and giving us the worse case scenario. I just cried and kept thinking about what I did to deserve this.
OB fixed the prolapse and they gave me morphine to try and relax my uterus and stop it contracting and it worked thankgod  but Im still a frazzled mess. This kid is going to send me grey before he even comes out.
Ry has today off to take care of Jetty + has tomorrow and possibly wednesday off if I need him too before he goes away for a week on friday. So Im resting up for the next day or so but we should be a-ok now. Just thought Id let you know incase you worry that Ive gone MIA.
Belated birthday wishes to our birthday babies!!!
Hope you guys are all doing ok.
Rach - I would def give more nappy free time, hard when they are so on the move now! Also I agree, just warm water cloths, or maybe a duck under the shower with ytou if it is that time anyway. I will have to remember the cornflour and Vas tho.
Kell - If he is still like this tomorrow, I will def go back to the doctors. As he had tonsillitis last week, it may be that. I see the health nurse as well so I might ask her. The Gp gave me a repeat script for the antibiotics, so he may end up back on them.
Woo hoo on the Target shoot. She is already earning herself some $$$$
Nelle -Glad you talked to C. Always good to get these things checked.
Maz - are you looking forward to the ultrasound? It's always nice to say "hello"
Oh Anna - I posted at the same time.
How scary. It really sounds like you need more support. If I was closer I would be there in a flash. Do you have any family that can help out?
I will keep you in my prayers for bub to stay put for at least another 15 weeks!
Crikey Annat. :stickyvibesboy: That's insane! What do you need to do now? Just rest a lot? How scary!!
Ohh River's giving up so many giggles today! He's had a shot at playing Ran's racing game with the steering wheel, and keeps going into his room and almost shutting the door, then peeking out. He makes us laugh so much.
OMGosh AnnaT how scary. Take care and rest as much as possible.
Love
:hugs: holy hell Anna is there anyone who can give you more time to recover you need to tak eit really easy now and keep Ripley nice and calm and baking away there thinking of you :hugs:
Oh AnnaT :hugs: you poor thing.. i really hope thats the end of all that until you reach full term..
Nelle.. i love that photo of River!!!
:hugs: you ok Sharleen
