 Belle hope you are feeling ok today, i will come down to sydney for a chat and coffee if you like:)
just got back from shopping, i bit the bullet and got caitlyn a dummy, im sick of her screaming as soon as i go any where, so it seems to be working so far
hey girls,
im so knacked from today all i want to do is sleep but i have a house to clean thanks to akira pulling out all her toys. I could have murdered her as i cleaned and sorted all her toys yesterday.
had fun at playgroup it was nice to talk to people. one of the ladies there looked after riley while i played with astrolady little boy who is two lol. He was being big bird today by eating bird seed lol.
riley is asleep at the moment finally he has been awake from 6am till 3pm ahhhh he just didnt want to sleep he was happy playing.
well im going to lay down till i have to go and pick simon up from the train station.
later girls
take care
Adele
wow, it has been very quiet in here overnight, does that mean we have lots of babys behaving themselves??
with the kk pressie thing, are we buying for mums or bubs??
charli i emailed you my address.
belle, nice chatting to you yesterday, cant wait to come down to meet you and julia.see you in a couple of weeks.
have a great day girls
Ooh yeah Chrissy, this is one handed typing during a feed, been 7 hours since the last!!!
Wow.
So glad to be empting my boobs though :p
Charli, that sounds great! I used to be a size 8-10 on top, I buy 12's now to give my boobs some room, but a 10 would probably fit? My email address is in my profile, so if you email we could sort something out :)
Wow hpw exciting bout the house AnnaT, hope it all goes smoothly.
A dummy can be sooo good can't it Chrissy.
Well, might pop in later, have big cleaning ambitions for today...after some more sleep of course :p (and once River finishes his brekky) xo
Morning all. Nina was a good girl last night, went to bed at 7.30, & woke at midnight for a feed. But the strange thing is I think she's having nightmares. Last night she woke up 3 times screaming, but still asleep. You could see that she was scared. This has happened a couple of times, since the needles. Do you think it could be related to the needles? Apart from that she was good. She did wake at 5am again, but Heath woke up and gave her a bottle so I could get some rest. He's only just gone to work.
annat - that's great that you've found a house. One less thing to worry about now.
chrissy - I have found the dummy a life saver at times. Except lately Nina doesn't want the dummy, she's too interested in sucking her fist or her arm. She'll knaw on it all day!
I too have big cleaning ambitions for today, but thinking I might go back to bed if this child lets me!
ETA: I had her weighed yesterday and she's 5.06kg ... that's 360g weight gain since last Friday!!!!! She's catching up to the other porkers on here LOL
Hi girls,
Thanks for thinking of me, Im just not handling things well at the moment, Julia has been so unsettled for 2 days and had a big blow out with my DH which is making me more stressed and I keep crying all the time. So will be lurking around but if I dont post you understand. I just hope Julia puts on weight this week as she hasnt for 3 weeks now. Mum is coming over today to look after me which is good.
Look forward to meeting you too Chrissy!
Adele & Anna** & Maz and Caddie thanks so much for your messages and being great support to me through this rough time and making me laugh.
Bel
xxx
look after yourself belle.
it is quiet in here... maybe like me nothing much to report. ainsleigh and i have a busy day today though, chiro this morning for her then coffee with a friend then off to the hospital to meet ainsleigh's newest friend. my friend had a baby boy yesterday... can't wait to see him!
have a good day girls
Charli mate, I'm cool with whatever, if you want to be paid now or later, I don't mind :)
Yeah Rikki, I think that there's just nothing much going on! I forgot to say though, that River's put on 440g in 2 weeks so yeah, he's still growing.
And he almost rolled over the other day, I know that 'almost' sounds like 'the roll that got away' and you are all saying yeah suuure he almost rolled, but I swear, he teetered on his side for a while and it wouldn't have taken much more! And the nurse says he's almost smiling too, which pleased Randall very much.
Speaking of Riv, he's currently trying to crack it, but I'm not sure why, and I don't think he is either :p Little grizzler.
Ahh..I bet the dummy's fallen out...spoiled brat...hang on...yep was the dummy.
Oh, and our date went well yesterday, took our medicare and baby bonus forms to Medicare and went 'help' and a really nice lady helped us with the parts we'd missed.
We argued in the car the moment we got there, but it was good, both of us feel like we're so busy and wish the other person did just a tiny bit more! So after highly offending each other, we agreed to do at least one job a day each.
And then we had foccacias and chocolate milkshakes :) And I only called mum once to check on River. And then Rans looked at video games while I did some grocery shopping
So girls, I really would recommend getting someone to mind your bubs for a short time while you go and have some quality time with your partner, if you can.
I've heard it said that one of the most valuable things you can do for your kids is to love your partner, and we were starting to feel a bit disconnected. So yeah...that was my thought for the day.
Oh honestly, River gives real meaning to the term 'spit the dummy'. I'm going to ignore him though, I'm sure he'll settle...? LOL I'm just lazy.
Our best friends are coming over (and bringing tea - hurrah!) tonight, so I'd probably better tidy the house somewhat...and wash some nappies...and have a shower (honestly, can someone please think of a quicker way to keep clean? I just can't be stuffed with showers, but I hate feeling feral.)
Hope everyone's enjoying their day! xo
Ah
how slack am I.
It sounds like you are all doing great! I am well and so is Harriet and she is putting on plenty of weight and just starting to look at toys and have her first few smiles. She now weighs 3.9 kg and is 51 cm long.
I have had relatives here for the last few weeks which is why I have been absent but will have more time to keep up wiht you all next week when my mum leaves but I will miss her help.
I am still having a few breastfeeding problems but things are getting better. I can't wait till I have time to read all of your posts properly and really find out how you are all doing.
Harriet is the world's most beautiful and funny baby and I am having a great time being a mum.
Love
Merrie
Oh and speaking of clothing sizes Harriet it still in 0000 my tiny little girl!
Is she still the yourngest in the group?
Nelle- thats what Df and I need a date night or something. We don't argue too often but our relationship is sort of put on the back burner cause now everything revolves around Ashleigh. And I think too with us we don't think about how hard a job each one is doing, I always think I have the harder job and he should do more but he sees that he does plenty. Next week I'm planning to start combining breast and bottle feeding so then we can have a date or something nice.
merrie- Good to hear from you. Sounds like you are doing well. Hope you sort out the breast feeding probs.
I don't have much to report, things going much the same here. We've got an appt with MCHN at 3pm this arvo then I'm going to the shops to buy my junk food craving. I don't know what it is but I seriously crave sugar, I've always had a sweet tooth but its getting ridiculous, I wonder if this is how smokers feel like when they don't have ciggarette's.
Hello September Mummies and Bubs!
I've been very slack with posting but was just on catching up on everyone's news and saw Belle's post.
Look after yourself Belle  Motherhood can be very rough and so frustrating when bubs is unsettled and you feel like you can't do anything to help them. You just have to try and remember that you're doing your best. Take care and know that everyone in this forum is here to support you :grouphug:
Sorry I dissappeared last night off MSN - it gets a bit hectic in our house around that time :)
Hope everyone is having a great day!
hello ladies
another sleepless night!
from 12 midnight till about 8am savanna would not sleep she just kept waking up and crying. i am soooo tired
finally she slept from 8am till 11:30am
steve gave her a bottle and was going to keep her busy while i had a small sleep but of course i could not get back to bed. so here i am still awake
i just put her down before and she is already awake grizzling in her cot!
im going to get the hammock asap. hopefully today or tomorrow and see if that does anything good for her sleeping. fingers crossed
luv ambz
Belle,im always thinking of you but never get the chance to catch up proper. My house has been a nightmare with ruby always crying lately. Its her wind and farts they are really painful for her so on the advice of nurse im going to change to s26.It never ends.
This morning i had to go outside as she was up at 5am crying and she settle at 930am.She was also doing 80ml feed and falling asleep and then 5min later waaaaa. Drove me bananas.
On a lighter note she has reached the 4kg mark and has grown 6 cm from birth so is now 53cm.I have to get her to do exercises and make her turn her head to the left as she favours the right and her skull is flat.If it doesnt improve she will need physio.Nothing to worry bout though.
Maz! march your arse back here! Where are you.
Rikki? you didnt go to garden city yesterday?
Me,the big 30 tommorow.I get to go out to dinner with hubby to a fancy arse restaurant.Hope there is something there for hubby as i seen camel, croc, quail, duck, seafood, wilderbeeste. I wanted something memeorable!
belle - big hugs to you hun. motherhood is such an emotional roller coaster isnt it?
i have my moments when i just ball my eyes out cause savanna wont settle and sleep.
hubby works night so he leaves at about 1am for work. im left alone with bubs. and sometimes she just wont sleep at all through till the morning. i get so worked up and cry my eyes out. i go frantic sending hubby text messages just to let the feelings out. when that doesnt work i ring him bawling my eyes out to him. the poor darling cant really do anything. i dont show my real emotions to anyone but him so he cops it all. i cant be pretty horrible to him.
she has her days when she sleeps well but then she has her really bad days too and these are the days that really challenge me as a new mummy.
sometimes when im in this state i question why i had a baby and keep telling myself i cant do this anymore its soooo hard. i guess its all normal kinda emotions though.
im sending a hugeeee bigggg hug to you to let you know your not alone in what your going through. i hope julia settles soon and gives you some happy time
luv ambz
caddie - hope you have a great day tomorrow. I should be on tomorrow so I'll wish you happy birthday then.
Merrie - yep, Harriett is the youngest ... and smallest I think! Hope the breastfeeding issues get better soon. What problems are you having?
nelle - I like that 'thought of the day'. Keep em coming!!! Heath & I have been trying to make time for ourselves, it's so hard juggling motherhood & being a wife.
Not much happening here today. Just went to 'kids in harmony' which was alright, except they want $50 for a term, which is only 6 weeks. I can do all that stuff at home.
hey girls,
what a day it has been to long for my liking lol. riley had an alright night sort off he was sleeping for 2hrs so im not complaining to much lol. But akira on the other hand was up at 4am. I wasnt happy with her.
belle- glad to see that you have posted again. take it easy and just rest and dont listen to what jeffery has to say he doesnt know what it is like.
charli - know how you feel mate. I have screamed and yelled at simon and nothing gets done. he just sits on his fat arse and does nothing to help.
well im outta here going to lay down as i have a headache again grrr.
Seeya
Adele
Hi yummy mummies!
Belle - Sending lots of hugs to you hon... do what you have to do to survive being a new mum and just remember that we are all here for you whenever you need us. Oh, and feel free to phone if you ever wanna chat!
Jodi_Lee - Yikers. That's damn pricey! I want to start Xander on swimming lessons soon, but I haven't priced it yet... lets hope it isn't that expensive!
Caddie - Xander has the flat head thing too!!! Not a good look, but he has finally started turning it by himself this week, so hopefully it should start to improve without needing a physio.
Merrie - Harriet is so teeeny! How sweet... I miss my tiny baby. But I do love how as he is growing he is starting to do so many new things.
LOL at Nelle for her wonderful thought of the day - I was just saying to DH last night how we needed to get away from bubs for a night to remember who we both are. It is so hard trying to raise a baby to have his own identity and yet retain my own identity at the same time! Xander *almost* rolled this morning... tho I think it was more of a case of being off balance from lifting his head too high (hehe)
Rikki - How was the chiro?
Not much to report from me... Xander is just such a cutie. He's a bit of a grizzly bubba, but so smiley at the same time. I am loving how nowadays he interacts with people instead of just staring blankly everywhere. I really don't think it is going to be long before we get out first giggle out of him, he already coos when smiling.
Charli - I just wanted to say *DITTO* to your vent! I feel exactly the same way! I really don't know what to offer in the way of advise as I'm having the same drama over here.
Hope your headache goes Adele
HI all
Belle - Thinking of you.. Hope that thinhs work out for you .. When i had DD i started crying on day 3 and didnt stop for 8 weeks until i asked for help.. its a very stressful and emotional time xoxo
i am going to pick up some pixi photos tonight! Cant wait i hope that they are nice!
xoxo
oh --- i forgot to mention --- Alexander giggled today! He was smiling and doing this funny snort thing.. it was so cute i think it was a giggle!
how cute. riley has been laughing at his feet lol i guess he finds them funnny lol
oh yeah with this kk xmas thing are we doing it for mum and bubs or just bubs.
Good question Adele
Anna I know what you mean about the blank staring, Rans complains 'he's so boring!' I think he's really looking fwd to when River smiles.
And as for the messy house - amen to that! I am trying to get it okay looking for when our mates come over for dinner tonight! (that might mean chucking everything in a cupboard somewhere :p)
I *think* I've settled Mr. Wakey over here, by patting him firmly in beat with my heart...read that in the notes the MCHN gave me...guess it might remind them of the womb? Well, I don't care why it worked, as long as it stays worked! :D
At least I got the time to pop a load of washing on...pretty sad that I only got around to it at 4:30pm!!
Hope everyone's doing well. xo
:hello: all backfrom our weekend away and well:angry: but will get into it when jase isn't around and can't read what I write
other than that Jack is doing great I can't beleive he turned a month ol dyesterday  where the heck did the time go:crying:
Rach75- Looking forward to hearing bout your weekend, sounds like a bit of drama!
ambz- i hope the hammock works for you, I know for friends of Df it worked a treat. :crossfingers:
Nelle- I sit Ashleigh in her bouncer and just rock it with my foot so evrytime she looks like she is gonna wake and carry on again I get in first and quickly rock it! They love anything that is like the womb.
little*princess- I can't wait til Ashleigh giggles, I don't think it'll be too far off cause she's making more and more new noises, she's been smiling since a few days old!
caddie- I hope Ruby's wind settles. Ashleigh sometimes will take forever to feed cause all her farts are hurting her tummy and she struggles to push them out. She gets upset cause she's hungry yet needs to get out the wind first.
We just got back from MCHN, Ashleigh is now 4.45kg and 56cm long. She's putting on weight nicely. All the rest of her check was fine, the nurse was impressed with how strong her neck muscles are.
I start mothers group next Tues so that'll be good. Hopefully the mothers will be a nice group of people.
shell - good to hear about Ashleigh's weight gain! She is putting on weight nicely isn't she.
rach - can't wait to hear about the weekend! At least you've got people to b***h to!!!
Charli - Such a beautiful poem.. thanks for linking it i might not have found it to read!
Shell - Asleigh is growing great guns! Hope that you enjoy your mother group next Tuesday. I started one with DD when she was 6 weeks old and 8 of us girls stil meet every Monday for a coffee & Chat they are my best friends !!
Rach - sounds like you had an interesting weekend! Glad Jack is wonderful ..
Nelle - Before you knbow it Rans wont be compaining when River starts to crawl around everywhere! Rans will be looking for some peace and quiet and wonder where the time went!
Belle, Maz, Chrisy, Anna**, AnnaT, Rikki ( love your new picture! ) Jodi, Aboll, and everyone else HELLO !!! Hope that you all have a wonderful night!
xoxo
hello everyone,
just sticking my head in to say have a good night and hope those babies and kids behave themselves. well mine are getting a cold the poor things so im up and down. cant wait for the weekend where i can sleep the day away lol.
night everyone
Adele
Ooh hey yeah Adele, tomorrow night is the weekend! Ha ha...I will pass the midnight baton on to Randall :p
Although River went last night from 11pm til 6am, so it's not like I have it too hard :) Not sure if he will be like that tonight, since he finished his feed at 9:20 tonight. But I am thankful he's asleep now. I'll take this as it comes.
My best friend and her hubby came for tea tonight (well, they brought it over) and there are leftovers, and also fruit salad left, and she also made us a zuchini slice! What a sweetie. Plus yesterday I stocked up on tinned soup, so plenty of easy meals for us.
Just had a Frosty Fruit, Rans bought some for me today. Gotta love him. We are getting on so much better after our date yesterday, I really think we should make the effort, even if it seems like hard work, to have 'us time' every week.
That poem is beautiful Charli :)
Hope your kids aren't too sick Adele, and hope you stay healthy!
Well, I don't think Riv's anywhere near giggling, but I reckon I'll get a smile any day now. Well, I'll keep trying for one anyway :p Smiling from a few days Shell, wow! Though River's been holding his head up since birth, apparently he's unusually strong, probably cos he was a chubbalubba at birth? So he can't be advanced in everything hey. Maybe he'll be the 'strong but silent' type. Doesn't get that from me!
Anyway, what on earth am I doing on the computer while the rest of my family sleep? I must be crazy. Off to sleep girls, I really hope you're all doing super well, and that your babies are good for you tonight! xo
:happybirthday: happy 30th today caddie hope you get very spoilt!!
god am i the old girl in the group, im 37, all you seem like spring chickens.
of to have my 6 week check up today at the hospital, and i have to take my daughter to the doctors she has had a rash under her chin for a couple of weeks, and it just wont go away after trying everything.
sorry to put a downer on things but i just have to wish my son joshua a :happybirthday: as well, he would have been 15 today, he passed away at 2.5 months old from sids, none of my family ever acknowledge him, so i just wanted to wish him a happy birthday, as this is the only outlet for me to do it, thanks girls:)
just popping in to say
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CADDIE !!!
hope that you have a wonderful day !
and Chrissy, i have said a prayer to remember your lost angel Joshua, xoxo
happy birthday to caddie and chrissy's little angel. don't worry chrissy, i'll be 36 in six weeks, so i'm not far behind you... and this is my first bub!
i read most of the posts last night but did not have a chance to reply, so my brain has forgotten most things... but no, i wasn't at gc yesterday caddie, though i do need to get there to claim some bills from medicare. maybe that will be today's outing. enjoy your bday dinner... where are you going?
and chiro was fine anna, not stressful. will wait and see if we get desired effect with helping with reflux. he said her neck is fine, but hips and head bones are 'out' as she did not go through the birth canal.
well it is 5am, and ainsleigh is still asleep but she woke me up an hour ago with her grunting and i could not get back to sleep!!!!
have a good day girls
she sounds just like my 9 year old charli, maybe we can combine them for a better price:)
:happybirthday: caddie & chrissy's little angel Joshua
hope you get spoilt rotten today!
well about milestones, Nina is smiling, giggling & talking in baby language. She loves looking at light & the mobile in her cot. When she's looking at the mobile, she gets so excited that I don't think she knows how to contain it and laughs the house down!!
She smiles at everyone except MIL hehehe. When she's in the bath, she has a little seat that she lays in and we don't have to hold her, and she kicks up a storm in there. We had to start putting her in the big bath as she was splashing too much in her room.
one handed typing starts... as per usual last night Nina was up half a dozen times for no apparent reason. Heath couldn't sleep & was just playing on the net so he attended to her, thank god! She's being very sooky now & wants cuddles. mummy's little girl
what the hell is wrong with these guys! I spoke with Heath last night about tryting to create more of a routine at night & i need him to help a bit more, and he says 'but then I can't come home & relax' I NEVER get to relax, my day NEVER ends!! men!!!!!
sorry for personals, bit hard holding a baby, but I love you all
Happy Birthday Caddie and also a Happy Birthday to little angel Joshua.
OMG! Xander slept soooo well last night I just had to jump on here and tell you all. I fed him at 9pm and didn't hear boo from him until 4.20am!!! That is just sooo good for him, he loves his tucker too much normally to sleep that long. Let's hope this continues.
Jodi_Lee - Lucky you getting giggles.. Xander has 'talks' heaps, but as yet, no full blown giggles... but it is coming as he sorta squeals a bit when he does the big smiles. Here's hoping you get some sleep again soon.
Nelle - Xander has only just started lifting his head properly this week! A bit late, but he's got there in the end... I kinda figure he was three weeks early, so I guess that might explain it.
Gotta fly... bbl for more. Hubby missed his bus this morning, so gotta go drive all the way to Welshpool!
Happy birthday to joshua,i feel privaliged to have my bday with him.I hope the angels bake him a lovely cake!
Thanks for the well wishes girls.I have playgroup this morning and then mums for a special m/tea and out to dinner tonight with hubby.I got some gold earrings and a new handbag.Plus clothes.
bbl for more.
morning all you gorgeous mummies.
Firstly big :happybirthday: to Caddie and to chrissy little Angel Joshua. Chrissy you definately should acknowledge it. It sad that your family just sort of want to forget about it.
You gilrs with the bubs sleeping for long hours are so lucky. Ashleigh usually has a 4.5 long sleep then 3-3.5 are the rest overnight.
Tonights the big test for Ashleigh and I. I've expressed milk and gonna give her her first bottle. :crossfingers: she takes it cause I need some freedom! Have birthday dinners and a work xmas party I've been invited to coming up so gotta get her prepared now.
good morning girls,
:happybirthday: TO CADDIE AND CHRISSY LITTLE ANGEL.
glad to hear that everyone had an alright night. riley didnt do to badly:rolleyes:
where has maz and belle gone the slackers??
nelle - riley has been holding his head up from birth as well. the dr said its beace they must have been building up that muscle before brith.
charli - sounds like akira.
jodi lee - nina is so cute. i love it when they laugh at every thing it make you want to laugh with them lol.simon was like that the other night when he came home from work. so the $hit hit the fan big time.lol. i think i scared him hahaha.
well im outta here must clean this house up its like a bomb has hit it
seeya
adele
happy birthday caddie!!! hope you have a wonderful day!!!
i think im still in shock! i put savanna down to sleep last night at 1:20am she started grizzling at 3am just after her daddy left for work. i put her dummy in her mouth and put the musical mobile on and went back to sleep. she has the winnie the pooh projector mobile. it shines star images on the roof aswell and the music plays continuously for 15 mins then shuts off.
i woke up later to find she had settled herself so i went back to sleep again only to wake at around 8am!!!!!!! thats 6 and a half hours with no feed in between!!
my arent these babies so unpredictable!!
going to go shopping to chadstone tonight yayyy cant wait for that!
