thanks belle. Heath is doing a lot better the last couple of days. So much so, that he's going away next week with his brother to visit his dad in Burketown, which is miles away from here!! Talk to you this afternoon.
Yeah that would be really annoying ness.Especially when no compo given. It disturbs everyone when hubby's get up for work.
Well dont know what was wrong with miss millana but she would not slepp last night at all.She would get in our bed,get out,go to her bed, cry, toss. I ended up giving her panadol at 11pm.Didnt work.So at 3am i gave her painstop and she slept till 630am.She seems fine now? Dont know if she had pain, scared or what. Was very fustrating as she couldnt tell us what was wrong.
Let us hope tonight is better for her poor thing.
Im here Belle :) Sorry just been having rough nights with Jett so Im walking around in a sleep deprivation daze. Thanks for asking after me!
Jetts sleeping as gotten so bad in the last week. I dont know whats causing it except maybe teething as he has red cheeks, is drooling like a St Bernard and has suddenly become very attached to his dummy. Im struggling because I dont sleep well as it is now with being pregnant (the crampy legs, achy hips that want to shatter everytime I turn over, the constant peeing have all started early this time) and now he's waking 2, 3 sometimes 4 times a night and just crying etc All I can do is wait out the sooks and then change him/give him some milk. He usually does the crying fits between 10:30pm-5am, never earlier on when I put him down or if he wakes at 6am, he'll just take a bottle and go back to sleep. Im panicking now at having to deal with 2 up in the middle of the night, esp if its at exactly the same time or on seperate schedules. Him waking once a night I can do, but not 3 or 4 times. What do you guys think I should do if it continues well past anything teething could cause - go to a sleep school for help? Ive decided seeing as he's waking up all night now I may as well get him in his big boy bed and go for broke in the sleep department. Atleast that way I can cuddle him lying down instead of picking him up to comfort him and nearly collapsing from the weight.
Ive given up on the resting - Ry has tried half heartedly and failed miserably to help me out with the chores etc and Im sick of looking at my messy house. I have so much to do before Christmas to get ready for this baby with organising Jetts big boy room, bubs room, wash clothes - on top of Jetts birthday, swimming lessons (which he sorely needs as I have been a slacker up until now about having him do them), all my usual chores. I am just emotionally and physically exhausted.
Sorry for the pity post, Im a bit of a whinger lately.
I'll pop back in and update you all after my OB checkup on friday.
HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY ASH!!!!!
Big :hugs: for you Anna, Caddie & Nessa for having rough nights.
That's such a shame DH had to go and check the alarm so often last night. I hope you all get some rest today Nessa.
I hope you have a better night tonight Caddie. Hopefully she'll have a sleep today as she didn't get much last night. It's hard when they can't tell you what's wrong, isn't it.
Annat - When Jett wakes during the night, is he just crying, or is he ready to play? If he's crying then it could be teeth (yet again!). I'll be putting Nina in a big bed very soon, so maybe just go with that idea. Like you said, there'll be sleepless nights anyway at the beginning. I think it's best to have him in a big bed well before #2 arrives, unless you want them both in a cot. A friends' DS took about 3 months to settle when they moved him into a big bed, but they made a bad choice by removing the dummy at the same time as moving him into a bed. Not a wise move. Do one thing at a time with that.
Have you tried different pain relief to see if it is the teeth, or pain related?
I know it's awful looking at a messy house, but if you're exhausted, it's best to leave for another day.
Is Ry still home, or has he gone back to work?
He's back at work Jodi. Um its a bit of both with his sleep issues - sometimes he cries and sometimes he just yells out for me and is wide awake. Ive tried everything for the possible teething -two kinds of gel, nurophen, panadol, cold things to chew on etc etc but nothing really works. Im thinking of trying one of those amber teething necklaces for during the day although it really isnt an issue then.
When it rains it pours I tell ya, apart from Jetts sleep issues and my own problems with this pregnancy my mother has been diagnosed with haemochromatosis - a condition related to high iron levels and liver failure. And its genetic which means now I have to get tested for it and so does Ryan. I have a 50% chance of having it and Jett will have a chance of getting it if Ry and I are both carriers. Funnily enough it could explain the protein in my urine at every pregnancy visit when my blood pressure has been pretty good. Apparently women dont really start to suffer from it until their late 40's+ because your period/childbirth bleeding aides your body in keeping the iron levels at normal range. So now I can add haemochromatosis to the list of things I have to watch for - along with bowel cancer, ovarian cancer, heart disease, diabetes, hypertension..............
I can see men in white coats in my future :wall:
AnnaT - hugs to you. You have a lot on your plate. Jamie has also being *playing up* in then ight still. I was up 4 times last night. Maybe it is just their age !!??
Ness - I would be very pi$$ed off!
caddie - hoping Millana sleeps better tonight.
Doctor said that measles are mis diagnosed all the time, and as Ruby (the next door neighbour) has had all of her MMR, chances are it was not the measles. Could have been slap cheek. James was playing with some of her toys, but he didn't suck any of them. So I will just have to wait and see........
:confetti: Happy Birthday Ash :confetti:
Happy Birthday to the devine Miss Ashleigh!
Roseola is another that is related to slap cheek and looks a little like measles...
Big hugs to AnnaT - you've got way too much going on right now hon. Look after yourself please??!?!?!
Well, I've got Xander doing total theatrics this arvo. I'm trying to wean the dummy. Dunno how long it'll last before I cave and give him a 'real' one (I've cut the end off the one he has). He is soooo peeved right now.
Im trying too Anna.
The thought of moving to sydney keeps playing on my mind. I thought I was ok with staying here but it just keeps popping up again and again - I dont know why. Ryan hasnt kept his promise of helping me with anything so Im still having to clean, cook, wash, get organised for bub. May as well do it in Sydney where I have plenty of friends and family to help me out with it (like moving furniture etc). He dared to get annoyed with me yesterday because I promised to cook steak, potato bake and vegies but by the time I got home from lunch at a friends and loaded the dishwasher, tidying up, did some washing I was knackered. He tells me to rest, always saying 'Sit down Anna I'll do it" but he never does. Ive been waiting for the floors to be vacuumed for 5 fricken days.
Im thinking if the idea of moving to Sydney doesnt go away then maybe thats a sign that I should. Its not like I get a break here anyway, or that Ry spends enough time with us to make it a bad thing to be away from him right now.
Good luck weaning the dummy Anna. The best thing, is to have your mind set on getting rid of it, throw it away, and it's gone forever!
god ive missed so much
happy birthday Ash honey - i hope mummy didnt have to wirk and the 2 of you had a wonderful day.
AnnaT - im on auto pilot most of the time but i agree, if you cant get Sydney out of your head..its a sign.
Ive just bought a mattress for /vy's room so i have something comfortable to sleep on at 2am. and i really want her to start having day time sleep's in it to get her use to a big bed.
Caddie - are you alright matie? I had a dream and you were crying........
have to give garbo guts a banana and i need a coffee
Happy birthday Ashleigh!!!
Thanks annie and alexander(and everyone else too) for Ruby's jumper.Im sure she will look great in it next winter!
Wow you kids have been busy chatting! Hugs to all who aren't getting sleep and are sick or have sick households (that actually covers quite a few of us unfortunately hey).
Annat, maybe you and Ry can work out just one thing for him to do every day? Better than him doing nothing, and he knows what's expected of him, like Mondays he vacuums, Tuesdays he cooks dinner, etc. Just an idea.
Anna, I always thought to get rid of the dummy (now it's going to be the thumb one day), I'd just put something nasty tasting on it, like earwax or something else River hated the taste of. And then he'd just decide he didn't want it. Would that work? Seems a bit mean hey!
I'm thinking about moving River into the back room at some stage too. And it's going to have to be pretty permanent, because we'll have to pull the cot apart to get it through the door! :p Til new bub is ready for the cot and then we'll move it back.
I've got my scan and booking appt next Monday, and I'm really looking forward to it. Our belly buddies group has seen a few missed losses, and I'm getting keen to see a heartbeat. Are you the same Ness?
Might go grab something to eat. Mmm.
i got my bloods back...well and trulely UTD..12dpo levels 191 :)
Yay Chrissy!
There I was, hanging out on the net and I suddenly thought of Chrissy and wondered if there was any news! YAAAAAYYYYYYY for you honey. What is your edd?????? Yay yay yay!!!!!
AnnaT - I agree 100% with Maz, if Sydney is on your mind, then its obviously the solution to your prob atm. It does not sound like its a split second thought. You'll know whats best.:hugs: I winge sometimes about Rick but he is fantastic, I wish I could lend him to you for a Saturday morning of Spring cleaning!!! (Just the cleaning mind you.)
Oh gosh, I am still dancing around for Chrissy.
Flip, I had T-Bones defrosting for Dinner tonight and Rick just rang to say we are going out with friends for Dinner to the pub. Now I have to have a shower but I still get my T-Bone which I have been drweaming about since I got it out last night. The best part is, I don't have to cook!
Hey, I know we cannot have two tickers right but I want to have another count down thingy to Baileys 2nd birthday. I think Maz you have your other kiddies listed like that. HOW???????
vixstar - my ticker has nina's b'day countdown & my pregnancy countdown too. Is that what you mean?
Congratulations chrissy!
