just a speedy one from me - here but very busy LOL - will have more time on sunday to post. All is fine with me, must have been a once off. Have an appointment for next thurs, but will prolly just get a referral to my gyno. Did think cyst actually, but more than likely endo again. Fingers crossed I don't need another lap surgery done.
love to you all :)
Katie - do you know what number Logan is?
Coles have huggies on sale, two boxes for $60. Bummer I WALKED to the shops, so have to go back with the car tomorrow.
Katie - Let us know, I'll vote for Logan too.
MD - Thats interesting that you should mention what you've been reading about the brain and mothers. I just read something similar about how mothers will often suddenly wake during the night because their instincts are telling them that there is something up with bub even if they arent crying. Also if you co sleep or the bub is in the same room as the parents, all 3 tend to breathe in sync and if the bub stops for some reason the parents (most likely more the mother!!) will tend to wake up. Its amazing! I've just started my winter vege garden too. LMAO at trumpet being a pumpkin.
Sherie - Hope it isnt endo. :(
Arte - WOW go Will!!!! Thats great!
Jazmum - Thanks for the website tip.
Renee - How is Rory going with his milk feeds? Are you still having trouble? We are having trouble with them again here, but I am putting it down to teething. I bought the Hylands tablets today so I shall see how they go. ;)
Noni - How many teeth does Asha have now? Glad they have settled down a bit.
For some reason a winky face has appeared at the top of my post lol!????
Hayley have to agree with you on the whole mum brain instinct thingy! when leila was 4 weeks i woke up with a BAD feeling and so (being brave) made DH go in and check on her...she wasnt breathing and was going purple and everything. called the ambulance and off to the old canberra hospital for the night...i guess instinct runs deep in our bones now!!
loving the wink! LOL! how did it get there??
Sherie: sending you lots of positive thoughts for your meeting with the gyno. tell that endo to back off or else!!!
Arte: congrats to W!! what a champ! dont you love the way they KNOW they are awesome when they do something new?!
best be off as it is ridiculously late for me...
morning everyone
Clare - every mothers worst nightmare!!! how horrible for you all. Were they able to give a reason why it happened?
Farout Clare, that is scary!! Well done on the mummy's intuition!
OK, well I"m not the only one:
LOL. I will have to try and find out why they called it that. From memory it was only pumpkins with a really looooooong spout, maybe that's what everyone in Adelaide ate before butternut pumpkins were invented (by a south aussie too LOL).:
my grandma in Adelaide calls pumpkin ‘trombone’. i have absolutely no idea why. but she is suspicious of it cause when she was in england it wasn’t eaten by people, only horses.
Gracie - LOL So sorry to burst the MD Myth bubble LOL. Perhaps I should never have divulged...? LOL
Arte - Wow for W walking - how exciting for you! I agree, if he's taking steps not holding on to anything that is most definitely Official!
Well we had a horrendous night last night, poor DH is shell-shocked. I think the penny has dropped for him as to how bad it was when he was away o/seas!
Pregpan, is Noah better now?
Oh god clare that would of been awful! My heart stopped reading that post! Amazing how you knew though, us mums are amazing arent we!
Hayley - Yep Rory is still having trouble with his bottle feeds. He is only having 3 x 180 ml bottles a day, sometimes we manage 4. I hope the hyland pills work for you, the night he was really settled I used 2 pills every 6 hours. Hope Maddie is okay xx
Noni- Im glad to hear you have got some sleep. I bet you feel more tired now you have got some shut eye, that always happens to me!
Sherie - I hope it was a once off and not endo. Glad your feeling better though. Hows Mr A's buises? I was in a shop a few days ago and the light brought out all his awful bruises from crawling into the coffee table LOL, I didnt even know they were there!
I was at my friends house on Thursday before we both went to mothersgroup together and as we wre leaving she quickly pulled out some antibiotics and gave her DS a huge syring full! I thought 'WTF' and asked what it was for and she told me it was for his chest infection that he got from his cold. Arghhhhh!! for starters why would you invite someone around with a baby when your son is SICK and secondly why would you go to mothersgroup!!
Okay better run I have to go shopping with the girls today, then I need to curl a couple of my friends hair with my GHD for their Rose of Trilee (sp) ball and then get ready for DHs work do.
hi everyone
well sob sob dh is away now, he left at 5.30am... well at least time is ticking til he gets back now...
clare - that is awful, but what amazing instincts you have. gosh that is scary. what did they find out at hospy? did she start breathing on her own after that? sorry prob too many q's and you dont want to relive it at all.
thanks for asking md, he is a lot better - am taking it easy with foods as i am sure his tummy is sensitivebut he has not vomited now since 1am thu.. so all good at the moment.
back later girls... n is asleep so i am madly trying ti get the house in order
Pregpan - Poor N, I feel so terrible for him. Glad he is keeping his foods down. Was it a virus/bug?? Hugs to you, it must be hard.
I made a chocolate marble cheesecake for our bbq tomorrow, im so very proud of myself. AND it actualy worked out LOL! I thought if you wizzing around the kitchen like a pro when I was fumbling around dropping stuff etc
I am right in the middle of a big clean out so will have to be quick. Logan isn't on the bonds site yet but as soon as he is I will let you know. There are some very cute bubs on there, you should all enter.
I will be back later to read the posts properly and reply.
Have a great day everyone.
MD - Well in a way I'm glad that your DH got a chance to see how bad things can be during the night with E. At least now he can understand more and be sympthetic. Still doesnt help much though if he has to go away for work often. :(
Clare - Thats so scary, I cant even imagine what I'd do in that situation!
Pregpan - Sorry to hear your DH is off on another work trip, hopefully the time goes fast for you.
Renee - I agree, especially a chest infection as they seem to stick around and are hard to get rid of! Far out I dont even take Maddie when she has a slight cold. The tablets seem to be doing their job, yay!
Well I told my DP off this morning because he wants to have another baby when Maddie is two, yet he has only changed one dirty nappy in 8 months!! I told him no more kids until he pulls his weight. His excuse is he works long hours, which he does, and I tend to fall for that one and let it slide, but lately with me doing all the getting up during the middle of the night I've been getting peeved with him. I do the whole humungous jump when I get back into bed lmao. Am I the only one with a man still in the dark ages thinking of women take care of the kids and home!!!!!!!!?
hayley - that wouldnt be on in this house!!! when dh is home (esp now i am working, as you are) we are close to 50/50. well i def do more for N but thats bc i am a control freak LOL and i do think some of it is maternal.. but nappies, washing, settling etc - he does it too. bf makes that harder but i havefound ways for dh to make up for it. e.g. i have NEVER taken a load of nappies to the bins except when dh away... tell him to pull his socks up IMO!!!
Clare - i have been thinking about your story all day. gosh we are all lucky ladies
Renee - the cheesecake sounds delicious!! if you could see the state of my kitchen right now you would know i run around in there like mad woman. i ama good cook, but messy messy messy!!!
just went out for lunch with some friends, the woman is the mum of my 1st boyfriend and we have stayed close.. was lovely and N got SO MUCH attention!! he is asleep now, though i fear i hear him waking (after 20 mins!)
Katie - let us kow when logan's pics are up.
ARGHHHHH Just went to my friends house and her mum decided to give Rory a Chilli, tomato and Capsicum (sp) Arnotts shape!! WTF! Thats just bloody evil! Poor Rory choked and cried when she took it away. I was so mad I left!:angry: I feel so bad for him I want to cry :(
Hayley - I know what you mean hon. Its easy to fall into a pattern of doing everything youself when your DH works long hours. I have got to the stage now when I want to do everything myself so its done right and DH is getting quite upset with me about it so I really need to stop. I do make sure though DH plays with Rory every evening, gives him a bath and dresses him....he even works too late to give him dinner though! Maybe you could set a time each night where your DP does the same plus gives Maddie her last bottle for the night?
LOL the amount of times Ive smelt a stinker and given Rory to DH saying ''oooooh Rory wants to play with daddy' pretending I smelt nothing haha.
Glad the pills are working xxx
Hi Girls,
Pregpan- Poor N Hope he is feeling better. Glad your lunch went well.
Renee- yummy your cheesecake sounds great have a good BBQ tomorrow.
Clare- OMG.
Hayley- my dh sort of didnt have a chance to be like that having 2 babies fromt the start sort of gave him no choice but too help. Although we are still toilet training the boys we still have 3 in nappies at night. I think I have shares in huggies...lol
MD-Sorry to hear about last night.

I hope you all have a better one tonight.
Sherie- I hope it will all be ok.
OzStar- hope your dinner went well last night.
Art- way to go w.
Well I better go Have a wonderful day to all
sorry cant do personals atm just needa kinda debreif..
last night i went to my friends place because she called me worried about a rash her bubby had. i went over and had a look and it kinda looked like a blister had popped on his shoulder and then the singlet had made the area lose skin iykwim. i helped them put a patch on it so she could put clothes on him for bed and he seemed fine.. they took him to the drs this morning and they said he was fine and sent them away with a perscription for some cream.. when they got home he started vomiting and screaming and the rash or whatever it is was spreading so they called an ambulance.. hes now in hospital with an anti biotics and a fluid iv and they still dont know whats wrong with him.. hes in isolation too.. the poor little thing is trying to pull the iv out too and my friend is stressing thinking its something she did.. eeek its so awful i feel so bad for them!!
omg noni!! that's horrible, poor little man. do they have any idea what it could be?
Renee - OMG Poor Rory is he ok? Chilli, thats a bit dumb. I've got DP bathing Maddie as we speak. I can hear him singing "Maddie bum, Maddie bum, does whatever a Maddie bum does" LMAO wtf!? I wish I could get him to bath and give her the last bottle every night but he doesnt finish work until after 6 and Maddie likes to be in bed by 6.30, sometimes 7, but she is very routined and gets grumpy. Maybe thats partly my fault.
Noni - Oh no hope the bub is ok. What is it, do they know yet?
Pregpan - Wow you are lucky. I wish my DP was more hands on like that.
I went further and told DP that he needs to grow up and change a dirty nappy!!! I wonder if it will work lol
