hi everyone
firstly thank you soooo much for all the bday wishes for Noah!! he had a fabulous day... all grandparents in from melb spoiling him rotten!!! we had to postpone his party at the last minute as he has a tummy bug (and now so do DH and I!) and i didnt want all the other bubbas to catch it. i had done the fill nigella all day fri and part of sat (before we decided to cancel) so now have a house full of choc crackles, frogs in the pond, blinis etc etc etc. i will freeze some but i think the rest needs a good home... i feel sick looking at it!! we did go out for a family lunch (with my cousins too) and then had bday cake (i made the 1 from the ww book (the old one) but with sprinkles instead of smarties) and coffee. was a great day. my fdc lady is sick all this week so major juggling going onhere to look after N, they did offer back up care but in theor creche and so we are both taking 2 days off to look after him. cancelled this week's trip to melb, i just hope she is better next week as dh is away... juggle juggle juggle!
Rainy - you soooo better tell us the gender... i cant wait!!! i was also v emotional/insecure all thru preg, we did have some really bad fights too, also just after N was born... a lot of mine were about my loss of identity in some ways.. i think we all have our little pressure pts that flare up.
Noni - asha sounds delightful (and hard work). congrats on the wedding plans...
Clare - i wonder if you were at my antenatal class? (john James??)
MD - the party sounds great - what a job you did!!!! i am sure you are exhausted now!!
N has so many new toys now - awesone ones! i wanted to put some of them away til he is older, or to surprise him with later but I love them all and want them to be played with now!! my mum got hima gorgeous rocking horse, soooo cool and we bought him the bee wheely bug which arrived this morning and is gorgeous. must say i am a little surprised how tiny it is, i cant imagine a 3 yr old on it!!! he also got gorgeous brio blocks - sooo stylish and lots of books and other great toys. a friedn also bought him a carwling worm, like a tunnel you put up nd they crawl thru - think he has to get better at crawlingfirst but love it!
he is a chatterbox now - duck, mama, dada, there, that, banana (well nana and it is generic for all foods) - h can also point to my, his and daddys nose, mouth and eyes... aaaah i am proud!!
re tantie - not full on ones here... but lots of whining and tears if not getting loads of attention.
the other CUTEST thing he did today - i often tickle him by 'biting' his ribs - he did it back to me and burst out laughing. love it!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO WILLIAM & KATIE Hope your 1st Birthdays were wonderful[/COLOR]
-
PP: yeah maybe we were together at ante-natal class!!! how funny would that be???
All i know is that i was in a group with a girl called Belinda. we ended up in the same mums group too!
i think i finished up our classes when i was 36 weeks...and L's EDD was the 14th of September...
-
pregpan- i wish i lived near you, i'd be more than happy to take some of that party food off your hands LOL i'm such a pig atm!!
when will you have noah's party?
forgot to mention i bought lewis a large ladybug wheelybug for his birthday. i still have to wait ages to give it to him, but it's sooo cute, i can't wait!!!
-
Hey everyone a quick one from me as S had a shocker night so am shattered atm the moment and have so much business stiff to do. I've just put her down for a nap so have maybe 20mins to get as much done as possible. Of course, I've just spent some of that time reading all your posts. No pm's from me but will try to come back later.
-
ha ha rainy - i would happily drive it over to your place... i was planning to take it over to FDC today but she is not wel so we are stuck with it... DH took heaps into work today but not all of it...
Clare - I did a 1 day course.. did you? did you do mums group at narrabundah? i did - but i started with N was 8 weeks... though i do have some friends who were in the earlier one. that wouldbe weird.
cally how are you feeling about going back to work? how many days per week are you doing? i know you have said but what are your care arrangements for gorgeous K?
-
Evening ladies,
Just a quick one from me tonight.
Rainy I am guessing team pink!!
Pregpan I too would be happy to take some of that yummy food off your hands if I was closer.
Arte I sent you a message through FB about the courses.
Cinta good luck TTC.
MD your party sounds great, I bet Miss E looked adorable in yellow and white.
Logan fell out of his cot this morning, he was trying to reach the blinds. Thankfully DH was home coz it scared the life out of me. We have now dropped the cot and moved his room around. No bumps or bruises. I have a quiet week planned this week, feels like ages since that has happened.
-
Oz: OMG! that would have been scary! we are having cot issues too...hmmm
PP: no we did the 5 week course at JJ. i did the b/f class as well though...
i went to narrabundah!!! i started when L was 6 weeks...so yeah, we probably should have been in the same group...ish??? it was a wednesday morning...ok, i remember a girl called Belinda, Sally, Kate, arrgh my memory is fading! i still keep in contact with them too!!
R: the wheely bug is awesome isnt it?!! L loves it. she doesnt really know how to use it so tries to push it from behind...oh well, when her little legs grow i'm sure the penny will drop.
-
Clare - K is the same, loves the wheely bug to look at and play with the antenna, but doesn't quite get the concept of sitting and pushing herself around. DH is stressing about the furniture though, I think he is on the hunt for a bit of black rubber to stick around the wooden edge.
I'm going back to work full time - this time next week I'll be sitting at my computer catching up on hundreds of emails! My mum is looking after K for the first week, then DH for 2 weeks over school holidays, then she is going to a centre. I think it's good that I'll be starting work 3 weeks before she goes into care so she gets used to me not being around before she goes to care.
Just got some cheap grobags from bambini pronto, some of the discontinued ones. They have some gorgeous new designs. And am in the process of ordering labels for K.
Pregpan - what a shame that N got sick and you had to cancel the party. I'd offer to take some food off you, but we still have a fridge full of leftovers!
Ange - I've almost dropped K a few times, once on her head (it actually hit the floor, but I had enough of a grip so it wasn't a big hit, but was still a bit nervewracking). They are very wriggly little things.
MD - glad the party was a success. I'm sure E was gorgeous in her little outfit.
Damn, phone just woke K up.
-
Hey everyone,
awww, poor Will, being torments by a darn dog...haha...Chessa has a similar sit..she has one of those litttle yellow toys that u hit and it laughs...or more like cackles and she hates it, she starts to cry if she hears it. poor thing.
Congrats for L sleeping better, I hope he keeps it up!
Rainy, What's your due date? I'm so excited for u! I wish i was pregnant at the moment...My sis is going for her 20 week ultrasound today:) i'm hoping she has a girl...She's been extremely ill, so i think she will have a lil girl in there. poor thing, what DH is doing, we were complete opposite...I didnt feel right DTD whilst preg, especially when i found out C was breech :S Have u told him how u feel? My BF tried to pull the "i'm going to sleep in the spare room coz i dont get enough sleep..." I told him, too bad...if u're in it, u're in it completely, not half heartedly...mind u, he was staying til midnight on his own accord, so i didn't reaallly...have much sympathy for him. However, if it was coz of C and me, i would've had more sympathy...
Arte...having a dumb blonde moment, wats FB? no, i didn't get to breastfeed, was doing yr 12 exams, got too stressed out and consequensly lost my milk and it only came back in one side...so erm...i didnt feel comfortable walking around with one massive boob and one little one...:| I have fallen preg by accident once but it didnt work out, but now that we're actually trying it isnt happening :( life is nvr fair...
better go, Chessa just woke up:) had a good sleep in!
-
Cinta, FB = Facebook...?!
Wow at you doing your year 12 exams...far out!! That's amazing, good on you. How did you go with them?
-
morning all
hope everyone is having a good day. Cinta well done on the exams, that musthave been hardwith the nb, how did you go?
I hope MM is having a wonderful time in Malaysia - cant wait to hear all about it!
Cally - sounds like you are getting really organised to go back to work, it will be a huge adjustment I am sure, especially back full time. I find my life is in disarray a lot of the timeLOL but I also have the added complication of travelling tomelb all the time etc etc. I have neverhad to do so much organising etc but it is worth it -I kinda like getting on with it all IYKWIM. It is so great that your mum and then DH can look after K for a few weeks, that will help you both to get used to it and then shecan settle into daycare. will you take her for a few 1/2 days 1st? it is also great you are starting at the end of winter, hopefully she wont pick up too many colds etc. it sounds like you are a a really organised person anyway soi am sure the transition will be as smooth as possible! enjoy your last week as a SAHM (until next time if there is one!!)
Clare - i think maybe you wree in the one earlier than me, i tried toget into it but i called the day it started and it was full! mine was only 5 of us by the end! a friend was in yours i think, her nameis Amy?? do you know her? that would be bizarre!! put some pics of the pimped BB up PLEASE!!! what a crack up with the lights!! LOVE IT!! i have the sunshade and breezy canopy from last yr, they were great for summer. I am hopingN will still go in the pram a bit this summer, he is a bit anti these days so it makes my long walks a bit tricky!
well girls i need to go ona diet - i feel revolting and worse than ever - thinki have let myself go!!! it isnt like i can say i ama new mum anymore LOL!!! so it begins (better get happier about the bodbefore I get UTD again!)
Rainy - my bet is team PINK!!
-
Pregpan - K is going to go in with DH for a few visits before she starts. I'm plannning on having a couple of Wednesday's off in her first few weeks so she does 2 on, 1 home, 2 on. Hopefully will also make it a bit easier for me. Need to have a talk with DH before I go back to work about breaking up the chores around the house. He's had a pretty easy year with me doing almost everything!
Cinta - well done on doing Year 12 exams with a little one!
We have clinic visit this afternoon. Have a huge list of questions.
-
Cally that sounds great - I think there is always quite a period of adjustment for the little ones and for us mums... but in 4 months time she will be happy and so will you I hope... well hopefullyin less time but i think 3-4 months is a reasonable time to expect esp with full time work etc. def chat to DH re chores, a realignment will need to happen - i know for the forst few weeks i was running around like supermum and then it all fell apart and we had to really look at how we manage it all. do you have a cleaner? i find that a HUGE help every week and well worth the money, i find i have NO spare time, life is so hectic and the last thing i want to do is chores!
Hope clinic goes well, you will have to tell us what you find out.
-
Just a short selfish one from me because I had a few days with not posting and can't keep up again LMAO.
MD and Cally, great to hear that the parties went off without a hitch.
Pregpan, that's unfortunate that you had to cancel N's party. I'm sure he would have had a great time being spoilt by the family though.
G, My money is on a little pink one (simply because I know that's what you'd like LOL) but I am going to go against the flow and say I don't want to know - I want a big surprise :)
Cinta, Good on you for finishing school hun - it can't have been easy for you. Fingers crossed the BFP fairy pays you a visit very soon.
On the home front - We have another tooth! this one took us completely by surprise with none of the usual teething symptoms - not even a poo LMAO - it was only when I was checking out yet another cut lip from a tumble that I saw it. It's another bottom one, so that's 7 altogether now. I was only just saying the other day that we must be due for another.
DH's tax is finished and I have my top-up FAO payment due on thursday and it's all gone already LOL and I haven't even got it in the bank yet, but I'm buying a new stove/oven with it, which I can't wait to get. Trouble is ,we'll get it and then I'll have to wait who knows how long to have it wired in.
Not much else happening. Have had some pretty ordinary, yet typical september weather so we haven't done a lot. I have my list all sorted for all the cleaning I need to do next week before his party and I'm sooo not looking forward to it LMAO.
ETA - I just realised it wasn't so short after all LMAO
-
The other day I got a short video on my camera of Alister on the slide and put it on youtube here YouTube - Little Dude on the slide
