MD - LMAO you were a little rascal werent you!?
Rainy - M went through a one sleep a day phase for about 3 weeks, but now we are back to two. Sometimes even now she will have a random day where she just does the one. I say just go with the flow ;)
Arte - W is SO smart! Thats gorgeous of him saying pretty, would have melted your heart.
Kate - Hope you got S to sleep in the end, thats the worst when they get over tired and take forever to nod off.
Trillian - Well at least you managed to get in a couple of hrs this morning, nothing worse than sleep deprivation.
Cally - Thats very scary, I wonder why she didnt have her dog on a leash, or dont you have to? God I'd feel to bad as the dog owner. At least she apologised I guess. Glad to hear K was ok at childcare, and thats good that you are settling back into work well. Yay for your 1st pay day!!!
Pregpan - I read somewhere that as long as they are moving around, there is nothing to worry about and it sounds like N is well and truly off and getting into mischief! I wouldnt say M is walking, she is taking very wobbly steps though so I guess its only a matter of time.
Falguni - I KNOW Karma! And yes there was a bit around her mouth, so I think she did have a taste test but I was too disgusted to write that last night lol.
Well after 4 weeks at daycare, Maddie had never been healthier. However she had one day back this week and she has a flippen cold AHH. DP and I have vowed that the next child will be well planned, we will be more financially secure so I dont have to work & therefore put our children in care!! :wall:
-
 MM. I busted Lu picking sultanas out of a cable she laid on the floor..... too juicy to pass up obviously.
-
OMG :o Ange - that is gross but so what they do. Just add them all together for one hell of a 21st speech! Should start writing them all down now...
MD - As for you in the bath time! You were a terror but oh so funny. I can just imagine her face...:o I remember seeing a snickers bar look-a-like float past in a lake once. I almost ran on water trying to get away. Although that just made it want to follow me :wall:
Got S down finally...only for 30 mins tho and she is still crabby now. Fingers crossed for a good night.
Noni - I just realised that the closest toys r us is in Mt Gravatt...I'm in Bundy. Might have to see if someone down there can grab me one. Or see if I can find something similar up here or online
Off to finish packing but will try to pop back on later

Hello yummy mummies
Sorry I have been MIA, have been reading when I can but have missed so much.
PMSL at the poo stories. DH does bath/shower time here so I bet L doesn't poo until its my turn to bath him.
Started swimming lessons this week, he cried for most of it but wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I cant wait till he is like the other kids in the class and loves it. I think DH might be ready to start TTC, now I am not sure if I am lol. Sorry for the lack of personals, I am off to bed.
-
Hey in my defence I was three years old and pretty much did everything my sister ever suggested to me (including all her dumb ideas like pushing her off a culvert, biting her...etc).
Ange, the sultana story beats the lot of them!
-
Hi everyone
thought i'd jump on and say hi. Haven't been a very good baby buddie lately. please forgive me!!!!
hopefully i'll find some time tomorrow to catch up with you guys and post some personals.
sweet dreams.
just did a quick skim - Md - did i read that you're a bellydancer? i'm going to be starting classes next week with some friends.
-
Hey Jaz! I love your new ticker pick, it's too cute! Is it just me though or does her hair look really red in that photo?
G, I do what MD does, 1 sleep is usually fine, but if need be I put him down for a second.
-
Good morning everyone
Trill - I think it must just be the photo - her hair is a mousy brown.
If it's ok with everyone, i'll just jump back in here. Going back through the thread to catch up is a bit daunting.
i hope i haven't missed any major events. :(
-
Happy birthday to Ella's Abigail who turned WUN today!! :happybirthday:
JaZaH - yep just jump on in. Um, major events (sorry if I've missed some) MM got engaged (woohoo!) and Pregpan's out of the TTC closet now. And there have been lots of birthdays involving a few acts of violence towards birthday cakes that didn't turn out PMSL! Yep I'm a bellydancer (though not since the pelvic instability came on, I couldn't dance for ages and I can only dance for a few minutes now before I start feeling it...bit of a pity really and quite ironic given everyone blarps on about how good bellydancing is in pregnancy)! I hope you really enjoy the classes, dress up as much as you can and really enjoy the experience.
Ok, just a quickie from me, Missy E discovered today what happens when you pull on the toilet paper roll...that paper just keeps on coming! LOL Found it strewn all over the ensuite this morning. DD2 was crabby as this afternoon when I picked her up - later discovered she hadn't eaten her lunch (a cup of soup and a handful of grapes doesn't cut it). She is old enough to know better!
-
Having a MD party in here . Where is everybody?
-
Hi Md!!!!!!
for the first time in ages i've been able to jump on here quite a bit today and no one has been around for me to chat too.
how are things going for you at the moment? What is DH's EDA?
-
Hello lovelys.
Hasn't it been quiet in here today.
Jaz had a look at your FB pics, your girls are gorgeous.
MD L has discovered the toilet but not he toilet paper, usually I find him playing with the lid but twice now he has had his hand in there trying to reach in ewww.
Well I have had such a boring day, DH has been at the air show ALL day so L and I got some cleaning done. I am on strike tomorrow!
-
Hi katie - thanks :)
Hannah loves the toilet too, and has just discovered the toilet brush. lovely.
She also likes to take the lid off the bin in the kitchen and see what she can find to munch on. I have to make sure that i've shut the door on the washing machine too, because she likes to suck the water that's left in the rubber rim.
hope you enjoy your day off tomorrow.
-
Yes another one here who likes the toilet! A couple of weeks ago I found M standing at the toilet, she'd grabbed a rubber ducky from the bath and plopped it into the toilet. Poor rubber ducky got fished out and put into the bin hehe!
Jazmum - Oh the toiletbrush....we've had a couple of encounters with it too, yuck!
MD - Not much longer till your DH comes home, seems he is over being away from his family too from what I read on facebook. :(
Katie - I like your cleaning strike idea, might have to do the same tomorrow.
Quick update with us:
Well M is getting more adventurous with taking steps, she is doing so well I'm very proud. Unfortunately she brought home a cold from daycare this week, and we are all sick. I am SOOOO over daycare. Really noticing it too as she just had 4 weeks off and its the healthiest she had been in awhile.
We are going to Melbourne from the 11th - 17th December, staying with family over there, I cant wait!!!!
As for this darn wedding, I am so close to booking flights to Vegas HAHA....I cant believe the amount of money that can be spent on a wedding, its madness?!
-
MM - I know what you mean about the cost of things, as you as you say the "w" word the cost automatically doubles. We got away with some bargains because we booked with a brand new restaurant (function room) and they quoted us a really good price which rapidly went up afterwards once they realised what they could be charging LOL! I also saved money by buying local flowers (gerberas and orchids in the NT) and asking friends with a nice car to drive us (not a limo but they were really chuffed). We still have ppl telling us how nice our wedding was so it's not all about how much money you spend, remember the important thing is to enjoy the day and make it special by what you do and how you share your joy with the ppl who are there, kwim? Oh I do hope my DH hasn't written anything embarrassing on FB...my page is not loading this morning so I'm starting to get worried LOL.
Ah toilets, yes E loves to bang the lid. I went through a stage where I was paranoid about her falling in and drowning...I don't know if that's even possible or just more of my weird mummy anxiety. I got smart with the toilet brush early, bought one of those with a cylinder that it sits in and it's up on the windowsill!
Katie, enjoy your strike day!! Are you following the footy or just chilling out? They day seems half over already because of the clock change!
JaZaH - it's 3 weeks tomorrow (if all goes to plan and I know better than to think that he'll be home when he says he will!!) It'll be weird cos my H will be on camp so it will be just us and the baby for a couple of days. He gets home late at night too so it'll be freaky for E to wake up the next morning and suddenly the daddy man's there like he's never been anywhere else! Hey are you following OzIdol?? ABBA special tonight, YAY we'll be singing along here! Thinking of getting some takeaway so I can throw the wrappers in the bin and just sit on the couch.
Rainy how are you going my dear, I hope you're having a nice weekend and chilling out a bit!
Trill how are the kids now? I hope you've been able to put your vax away for a few days!
Ok well I'd better go and see if I can corrall my day into something productive!
-
MD, since neither mine or DH's team is in the footy this year I cant really be bothered. I wish we had daylight savings here.
MM Poor little miss being sick again. I know what you mean about the costs of weddings. Yay for Maddie taking more steps its so much fun to watch isn't it.
Jazmum eww at the bin lol, no doubt Logan will discover ours soon.
Have had a wonderful day today, went to the beach this morning and then headed out to the shops on my own for a little while this afternoon before kicking back and having a beer with dh. Has been a very wonderful birthday weekend (was my birthday on Friday but didnt tell anyone he he he).
I hope you have all had a good weekend, it has been quiet in here so I assume you all have.
-
Happy birthday Katie, you sneaky sneaky birthday girl! :happybirthday:! Hope you've had a lovely weekend and have been spoiled the way you deserve to be!
-
Happy Birthday Katie!!
MD - wow, only 3 weeks to go, that should fly!!
Jazmum - welcome back, it's hard to keep up sometimes isn't it.
After all the poo talk the other day, DD did one just before her bath on the floor - luckily it was the night we introduced the bathroom door stays closed rule (she has been running around the house getting overexcited when we say bathtime so we were trying to contain her).
Enjoying our long weekend here. Got some lovely rain and I've mulched half of the garden and we'll probably head out for a lovely walk after she wakes up.
Hope everyone is good.
