hey everyone,
well i didnt wanna say anything earlier but ive been feeling a bit off for a while now.. and now i am 2 days late.. i know two days is nothing but i was feeling like af was coming and now thats gone away.. ive been feeling dizzy and sometimes queezy, really tired and have tender bbs on and off too oh not to mention they are bigger than normal hahaha.. so unless im just in for a huuge awful af things are looking pretty good.. im feeling a bit nervous actually theres a few things i have to change if i actually am UTD lol eeeeeek..
my aunt and cousin and asha and i went to hi 5 yesterday.. it was really good, i felt really emotional lol coz u know shes growing up etc etc she was so shocked lol it was very load but she did do a bit of clapping and dancing hehe very cute!! gosh u should have seen all the stuff they were selling there!! i was gonna get asha something but my aunt convinced me not to, all so expensive and we got the tickets free so best to keep it a free outing :) my aunts one of those mums who will carry food etc in her bag so she dosnt have to buy the overpriced stuff she says its annoying lol i say its pretty smart haha :) ive gotta start doing stuff like that since we are broke all the time!!
rain - ohhhh congrats on the walking!! how cute df getting all emotional!!
arte - ohhh well done on the bargain!! ive asked my mum to get asha a little table and chairs for chrissi.. shes getting too heavy to lift in and out of the high chair now!!!
md - yes i am getting excited about december hehe.. we have a few decorations but have to go and buy a tree this year now that we are out on our own hehe dp even said i should get a nice one so i just dont want to replace it next year hehe yay!! the tree at my dads place he constructed out of coke cans and v cans lol for a red and green effect its very effective and clever lol but itwill be nice to have a real tree this year haha.. am doing alot of home made pressies too so getting excited about that.. gonna buy a heap of cheap ceramic plates for asha to paint on and gloss them with spraypaint gloss get little stands and there u go pressies from her for all the rellies :) gonna make mini rockey road in like chinese noodle boxes from us and then just buy a few little things to go with it.. everyone knows we are broke and i am hoping people appreciate the effort that goes into it all :)
oh and re the spinning asha started doing that recently too lol idk where she got it from she just starts doing it haha or if we say to her spin spin she starts doing it haha sooo cute!!
hello to everyone else :) hope everyones having a wonderful weekend!!
-
Noni - 2 days late wow that's exciting - and nerve-wracking too I bet !
Gee my mind boggles at the coke can chrissy tree - please oh please do you have a photo of that? Yay for buying a new one. We had a small cheapo ever since 1992, but I picked it well for what we could afford and loved it every year even tho DH always complained it was too small. But it was good because we could put it on top of something when DD1 was little/new puppies, etc. Anyway last year we finally went out and got a big one. Then I had to buy LED lights cos they ones we had were melting the branches (!) DH left the old one out on 2nd hand Sunday, then he put it in the trailer to go to the dump, then I saved it. It's still in the boot of the car, it's supposed to go to charity but i'm not sure I can bear to part with it LOL.
JaZaH - good to see you online, hoping everythings ok with you. xxx
Wondering how all our other QLD ladies are faring with the storms, etc?
-
ill have a look for a pic of the chrissi tree hehe let u know
-
ok md piccies are in the gallery of the tree hehe.
oh and yes it is very nerve racking cross ur fingers for me!! i did have a dream last night about having a little boy if thats anything to go by.. though due what would be the conception date i think its more likely that i have a girl if im pregnant...
-
Noni that is one AMAZING tree. Pity Burke's Backyard isn't still on the telly, if it was your photo would make it into the Christmas show for sure!! LOL I think if you're having dreams you're either PG now or it can't be too far off!
Rainy - big big YAYAYAYAYAAY! For Lewis walking. I bet the look on DF's face was priceless!!
Arte, that sounds like one foine veggie patch you've got yourself there. I'm really going to miss my veggies this year, tho I might be able to get some late cherry toms and lettuces and herbs once we're back home. Well done on your Bunnings Bargain! (it's the season for sniffin them out ;))!
-
Hi Girls!!
I so have to check out FB for that tree noni!!
Noni: ooh ahhh, when r u gunna test??!!
Arte: lol! no, unfortunately we are not in baby-making land just yet. DH is keen, but i have to finish my Phd, otherwise i know that it wont get done. I have been using FF for checking out temps and O times. i have endo have found it really really useful on letting me know when i should stop the caffeine (not meant to have it just before O or AF) and also to just know what is going on with my system. I use homeopathy to treat it, so need to know all the ridiculously small details to tell my Dr...oh the joys!!
mmmmm, corn....mmmm. love fresh corn. wish i could become the official taste tester for this corn-off between ange and arte!
Rainy: YAY! L is walking! how awesome that he walked to his daddy! mwahhhh...
MD: you would be jealous to know that less than 200 mtrs from my door is the largest christmas decoration store in Australia. it is ginormous. we are kitting out the front of the house this year, so you know where i am going!
The wee-ride looks fairly simple to use. although having to swing my leg right over is slightly daunting. ATM we have a traditional back seat one, but L hates it. so we tried her on the weeride and lo and behold we had a happy chappy...
Sherie: yeah, i guess that will b our best approach. And TBH, i do think L is too small. i doubt she is even cracking the 9kg mark. just dont feel comfy with the heavy load, so we will reassess when she is older. i have had a quick look at the delayed vaccination schedule someone posted on here and it looks like something we are considering. anyway, we'll see how it goes tomorrow...
AFM: all good here. we weathered the storm yesterday pretty well. hail poured in the house through the two fireplaces which was largely unpleasant. the park across the road has some ripped out trees and downed street lights, but all in order considering.
went to a hens night last night and wow wee, loved it!! I dont really remember how many ****tails i had, but it was bliss! and we outlasted both the bride-to-be and the groom-to-be (we all met up after dinner to power on). slightly seedy today, so cooked some eggs and bacon but am in desperate need of a large latte....
-
LMAO at you being seedy Clare! I am hanging out till Dec 1 when I go shopping with Mum and then I am going to hit Myer for decorations this year, they have gorgeous ones.
Marydean, I am pensioning off the old tree too this year. And like you, it has served me well - heck I even left it decorated from year to year in the cupboard and just got it out to freshen them up and dust them off LMAO. So this year I am buying a big one cause it looks a bit silly now to see a little tree with so many presents. I also found the smaller one great to put up high out of reach of little hands....
Noni, Now you make sure you keep us in the loop LOL. I will have to go off for a looky at the tree too - I have seen similar ones done with cans and that before and they look awesome don't they? Very clever.
G, Lewis isn't still sick today is he? I hope not. And SUPER YAY for him walking!!!! that's great news.
WOOHOO on the Bargain Arte. You've certainly got an impressive vege patch. Do you preserve/freeze all your excess at all? That's what I usually do with what we cant eat.
Baking day today! so far I have made mini strawberry muffins, I have a carrot cake in the oven and I will make some berry cupcakes (with frozen berries) when the cake is done. I also have two huge bags of lamb shanks defrosting to roast for dinner tonight too - weather is appalling here so a yummy roasted comfort food dinner will be perfect.
-
LMAO at putting the tree back in the cupboard fully decorated...why didn't I think of that :wall:
Ah your comfort food has got me thinking. It's cold today here too, I found a stray ham hock in the deep freeze so I've got a pot of soup on, chicken thighs out for tea tonight, might have to slap a marinade on and roast them up with some veggies...mmmmm.
Clare, ok, you owe us photies after telling us all how fabulous your house is going to look! LOL
-
-
hi there ladies
md- i always know when your dh is away cos your green light is on more often:lol: i love it!
noni- oohhh how exciting! fingers crossed for you
sherie- your baking sounds fab, i can smell it all from here. i'm jealous!
clare- how much longer till you finish your phd?
well lewis is still a bit lethargic today but not throwing up....but now df is sick! he's been throwing up all night- he must have caught it off lewis.
i feel sorry for him but i also feel a bit resentful, biatchy but i can't help it! he hasn't moved out of bed and is acting like he's dying.
when i was sick i couldn't rest cos i had to get up and look after lewis, i even had to drive myself and lewis to the hospital, stopping to throw up....while when he's sick he won't lift a finger and has been having long hot showers and lying in bed.
-
MD: yeah, well i reckon you may be disappointed by the house! i was thinking of just popping up some icicle lights from the verandah roof and threading some off the picket fence...so nothing too spesh unfortunately! if only i had a better homes and gardens type DH, THEN we would be in serious business LOL!
mmmmm, chicken, mmmmmm, or sherie's lamb shanks mmmmmmmmmmm...
Rainy: oh it's soo true! these boys just dont get it! when we are sick we try to have the world keep turning, but it certainly doesnt go both ways.
i have to submit the thesis for the phd in march of 2010. sounds like ages, until i realise how much more i have to do LOL! really gotta get crackin' on the writing....
sherie: you are soo right! MYER does gorgeous chrissy stuff. it's where i got L's first christmas bauble. so adorable. i also just bought her christmas party dress from there. love it...it has tulle. what more could a girl want?! LOL!
mmmm, mini muffins, mmmmmmm
-
hey everyone,
feelin pretty crappy right now, hopefully its a good thing :) well dp brought home a pack of two poas tests and i did one and it was a faint +ive.. only thing is theyre pregnosis tests and i just read that they are a bit notorious for giving false positives?? any one heard this? gonna use the other one in the morning to see if its darker but still worried about what i read??
-
Noni, I only ever got -ve's when I used pregnosis tests.......... so I thinks congratulations might be in order
-
thanks :) fingers crossed
-
Oh wow Noni - are you going to test with another kit?? sooo excited for you!!!
-
OMG Noni how exciting. I hope you get a darker BFP tomorrow.
Does that just leave me and Arte TTC?
Rainy I hope both your boys are better soon, nothing worse then a sick man.
Clare sounds like you had a great night out.
Trill feel free to bag up and post some muffins my way. I love baking, DH's mates can't believe he comes to work with home baked treats so often lol.
I got my Christmas shopping finished yesterday (except for two presents I am buying in Dec) and all wrapped up today. I don't enjoy wrapping presents at all and am glad its done. We just bought L lots of little things, like wooden puzzels, Little people and bubble stuff (he lurves bubbles). Busy again with photos this week, will try and keep up tho. Will be checking in on Noni tomorrow.
-
noni- go and test again..please....i'm dying to know
-
WOW Noni, can't wait to hear more in the morning......fingers crossed.
Gotta go to bed - need sleep !!
Talk soon ladies.....
-
well ladies i did the other test this morning and its also a deffinate +ive still quite light but this time it came up fuller and quicker which makes me less worried about evaporation lines etc.. its very clear and u can see it from arms length so i guess thats it??? it was a pregnosis one still md coz thats the two pack i had...
-
Congratulations Noni :bluecheer: How exciting! Do you know when you are due?
Rainy, Yay for L walking. Must have been so cute to see him walking to DF. Sorry you have to put up with Man Sick. Have you looked at your ticker lately? Only 93 days to go - that is only 3 months!
Last night it took me over an hour to get W to sleep, I had a massive headache and then while I was in with him I missed an auction I had been waiting all week for. I was soooo grumpy. I woke up with the headache again this morning and so my lovely DH has stayed home from work to look after W for me.
-
arte - umm it should be early august im only about 4 1/2 weeks so still very early.. glad dh stayed home to help out with W
we arent telling people yet just a few close friends but ofc i couldnt keep it from all you guys hehe
-
Noni thats so exciting. Congtrats to you and DP.
Arte I hope your headache goes quickly, what a wonderful DH you have staying home to look after W. Looks like its just you and me TTC now.
Off to swimming lessons will be back later.
-
:leap::leap: That's awesome noni :leap: Congrats dear.
Art - Hope you feel better soon and so nce that DH can stay home to help. Rest up dear
Ozstar - Well done finishing yr chrissy shopping, Im not where near done. I should do a bit each day but I try to wait til Joel can come too so we can choose gifts together.
Cassius - WOW that does sound like alot of work and yes I know March is coming round so fast - my EDD is in March so I can understand that. Good Luck.
Rainy - How is lewis feeling today - hope he's on the mend. Men when there sick hey
The weather has improved heaps here today. Think I'll take H for a stroll around the beaches after his morning sleep. The sunshine looks so inviting.
Oh I've put a poll up about the shortlist names (I saw Ozstar's vote :kissing:) see what you think, we've narrowed it down to Carter, Tomas, Tallan and Izack. Any comments are welcomed - I'd rather know what ppl think than not.
-
eeek feelinbg awful this morning!! every morning with my toast i usually drink a sugar free V.. dp told me it wasnt a good idea to keep drinking them so i didnt have one this morning and boy am i feeling it!! thank god in the night garden is on so asha is occupied while i comfort myself with some choc biccies and a can of coke lol terrible i know!!
thanks jg..i really like izack a warning tho if u are worried about commen names my cousin is zacharya and there will be 5 zaks in kindergarten the year he starts... i really like tomas its on our list too so thats my vote :) i really actually like max but i think my friends sister is naming her little boy max when he is born so that kinda takes it off our list which is a shame.. never know she could change her mind i spose hehe
-
Oh noni - remember feeling that bad is the sign of a nice healthy bubba. Do whatever works as far as getting thru it- if coke works for you, go for it.
I like Max too but we already have one in the family so it couldn't be. Yeah I wondered if Zach would be a bit too popular. Im really conscious of the too many at school thing.
-
JG I am still loving Carter, Dh isn't a fan (coz we have a good mate who's last name is Carter lol) so its not on our list. I think Hamish and Carter sound adorable together.
Noni you do whatever you have to do to get through. I hope you feel better later. Are you going to the Dr to have PG confirmed?
-
JG, I like Carter but together it reminds me of Hamish Carter, a famous NZ triathlete. However, probably no one besides me would think of that - I doubt Aussies are that interested in our sporting heros.
Ozstar, yip, looks like it is just us now. Good luck for this month. Hope it happens quickly for you.
-
prob wont be going to the dr till the wkend,.. were so busy.. im pretty confident tho n not worried bout that really atm.. will have to go soonish tho becoz my iron will needa be checked
-
YAY CONGRATS NONI!!!!!! Hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy.
Arte and Katie - it will happen for you soon too...
wow i cant believe we arein baby 2 land...
so sorry i have been MIA, it is the story of my life these days LOL. the same old stuff - work, feeling so sick and exhausted etc etc. my ILs were here this weekend which was actually good - gave them lots of babysitting time and we got some time out. went to the movies on fri and on sat i had a lovely facial... gorgeous
will try to keep up more. meant to be in brisbane the next 2 days but trying to wiggle out of it.
-
Well perhaps the walk around the beach is out of the question.......bloody painful BH are back in full force. Please let this episode be short lived Im home alone with H today - I so can't just rest up today.
Bugger !!!
-
Oh no Cindy, I hope it doesn't take long for them to go this time. When does H go down for a sleep?
YAY NONI!!!!!!! surely you couldn't get 2 false +ve's in a box, so Im counting the 2nd test as the real deal LOL.
G, how is the 'patient' today? He sure better make it up to you.
Oh, you wouldn't read about it with the muffins, but Alister ate half of them!!!! little bugger got up on the kitchen bench and sat there eating them and he thought it was AWESOME - I had no idea he was even up there cause I thought he was still in the girls room with them and I was faffing about in my room sorting clothes. So the girls ate some and saved the last 3 for Lindsay. I was angry but all I could do was shake my head and laugh at him.
-
Just a quick one from me - spent ages this morning checking timber for my dad's deck and now reading through the last few days so should really do some work!
Congratulations Noni!!! How exciting, another little bubba on the way.
MD - was great catching up on Saturday. Am now a huge fan of the 9 year age gap with a permanent little babysitter lol!!
JG - hope those BH slow down soon and that H is a good little fella today so you can rest.
-
Trill lurve the new Av, woot woo very hot. L loves muffins and did the sneaky polishing off about 10 at his birthday. We have soem very cheeky babies in this thread.
Cindy I hope those BH go away quickly.
PAP lucky you movies and a facial.
Noni I meant to ask do you want to catch up when I am in Syd over Christmas? Do you still want pics of Asha?
-
well its still sinking in lol i do feel on and off pretty terrible which sort of makes it all a bit more real.. i was pretty sure before the test but u know u just never know i spose...
katie -- that would be great :) when are you coming to syd? how much would i pay you for the pics?
trill - love the new av!!
gosh hi to everyone else im so tired and feeling very dumb already eek none of this stuff happened so early with asha.. tho maybe i just wasnt as tuned into it either?? not sure hopw everyones having a good day :)
-
Congrats Noni!
Read through but don't remember much else. I was distracted by nonis news. I'm now down in Brisbane for a week visiting family and friends so might not be around much.
I'm sort of in the TTC boat. Waiting until after Christmas to really start.
Very short one for me here....Having lunch with my sister and Aunty so will try to get back on tonight. Although I haven't had a really nice long soak in a bath for 2 months so that might beat out the internet tonight. MILs place had no bath so had to wait until got to my mums. New house has a bath so will christen that next week.
happy and healthy vibes to everyone esp Noni
-
Hi ladies - Yay NONI!! :happyforyou:!!
Cally I know she's fantastic. I don't know if i tell her often enough what a great help she is to me. She has her non cooperative moments though...
Trill oh DH and I were both cracking right up at A sitting on the kitchen bench hooking into your muffins! What a clever little monkey you have (stealing temple food and everything LOL).
JG - big big hugs - hope those BH settle down. I know how painful it can be. xxx
BTW I like Carter and Tomas - not keen on Izack spelt that way. But there again I'm one of those anally-correct about spelling type of people (ie why I work in a library) LOL so if you like it most then go for it!
AFM - Am going in to see Drs to find out if there's anything I can do to expedite surgery - even if it means delaying our move. Had another episode last night, I still feel shaky from it, I can't live like this!!!
-
MD I hope they can do your surgery earlier those episodes sound terrible
Kate oohh a long soak sounds wonderful. We are the same TTC, trying but not really until after Christmas.
Noni I will send you a PM about catching up. The sat after Christmas works best for me though.
-
Today has been hellish. Once Hamish woke at 11am he refused to go down again. He was so active, climbing the stairs constantly and learnt a new trick (how to climb into his sister dolls house roof) - excellent !!
I was struggling when my bestie phoned and offered to come round - thank goodness I for once was not stubborn and accepted her kind offer. Her daughter (9month old) amused Hamish enough so he stopped climbing everything. Bestie entertained H most of the day letting me veg out a little. She is such a good friend.
It's almost time to go pick Joel up from work so help is near. Yippi. If the pain doesn't settle down soon I will call the hosp for some advice. I know deep down that this is normal for me but geez the pain is unbearable at times and makes life difficult when all you can take is panadol !!
-
hi everyone,
noni - a great big HUGE congratulations on your exciting news. That's fantastic!
Jg- good on you for taking your BFF's offer of help today. I hope everything settles down for you. You must be so exhausted - i know i am after chasing Hannah around all day and i'm not growing a new life like you. big hugs.
md - hope you're feeling alot better soon. Hope the doc can offer you what you need.
katie - Are you taking photos of friends, or have you got yourself some clients?
hi to everyone else! hope you're all doing well.
-
good afternoon ladies
noni-:dance::dance:congratulations!! that's fantastic news, i've already had visions of you having a gorgeous little girl..
jg- hope the bh settle down soon. i haven't had any myself but this baby kicks heaps and heaps! i voted for izack. i'm really not a fan of carter at all, i think it sounds really american.
md- hope you're feeling better soon, poor luv
sherie- your av is so friggin sexy!!!
lol at alister the little piglet!
arte- omg:oyou freaked me out when you said there's only 3 months left!! i can't believe it. i feel so not ready yet, i've still gotta get lewis into his own bed gggrrrrrr
well lewis is a lot better today, not eating much but more of his happy self. df went to work and is feeling ok, just tired and weak.
i went today and put a pram and carseat on layby...makes it all seem so much more real...:o
