MD - good luck with the moving.
I know what you mean about powers of observation, it is amazing what they pick up. DD put something in the bin yesterday, then she was tugging on the liner and pointing at the garage, so DH had to help her put it out in the big bin because it was full!!
And she has become obsessed with the washing basket - spent hours over the weekend sitting in it, pointing at things she wanted brought over to her. This morning she wanted to sit in a bucket - so cute! Also her toothpaste is a big hit, is constantly carrying it around. I think she'd be right for Christmas if we gave her a tube of toothpaste and a washing basket!!
Arte - good idea about opening presents early. My sister's birthday is on the 22nd and one year we were travelling that day, so mum just moved her birthday forward a few days - she had no idea!
Ange - how was last night?
Trill - hope you're A-OK now.
JG - glad the IU has behaved itself.
ETA - PAP - oh, you poor thing, hope that clears up soon!
-
Hi girls!! wow still lots happening!
JG: oh man, that does sound really tough. i hope that it continues to settle for you. do you have someone to help with H so that you can some more rest time? gosh is there such a thing as rest with a toddler?!! that things get easier here on in.
MD: holey moley woman! $90?!!!!! that sux big time. we havent changed ours over either! we went to vicroads and they told us to wait until it ran out..hmmmm. love to catch up while you are here...i'll have to charge the mobile LOL!
Rainy: yeah i'd be waiting for DH. much more of a slap in the face for her IMO. this way she can't get angry at what you did wrong, cause it was DH that broke the news IYKWIM....
Arte: yeah we need to constantly watch L ATM. she is trying to do 'big people' things all the time. usually means that we are fishing out clean nappies from the bin, or finding her shoes in our shoe rack LOL!
Ange: yup, that sounds bug-like to me. glad that it passes quickly though. hope that L gets back to a happy, well sleeping bub soon.
Noni: yay for the dating scan. how exciting! seeing the heartbeat is just soo cool. i never had a dating scan with DD. feel like i missed out now! LOL!
AFM: well all is good. we are back in melb. loooooong trip. the last 500kms were the hardest. L was good all the way (thank god for those tiny sultana boxes! LOL!). and robin barkers 'mighty toddler' travel tips worked a treat!
but now i think i have a cold coming on...boo hoo. oh well.
oh, and we have a new and improved poo story. location: gundagai. Time: 5.30pm...
sooo, we pull up at a motel in gundagai, L has been VERY quiet in her carseat for the last 20 minutes but i put it down to her being tired and over it. DH walks in to book a room and i get her out and pop her on my hip. there is a feint smell of poo, but i figure that i'll change her when we get to the room (it was raining heavily outside and nowhere to change her). L didnt seem too concerned.
ANYWAY, i head into the reception to help DH, there is a little girl there (about 2.5) and she points at Leila and I and starts crying. i get concerned, thinking maybe she thinks we are awful people, i look at leila on my hip and almost pass out from the smell...
ALL OVER my top (from the boob across the stomach etc) is poo. bright orange smelly poo. ALL OVER my arm holding her is covered in poo. ALL OVER her leg is poo right down to the ankle.
I run out of the door with the room keys and charge up to the room. we get into the bathroom and i try to undress her. it is oozing all the way down her legs and has managed to get right up over her belly up to her NECKLINE. i had to tear the shirt she was wearing as there was no way i was pulling it over her head. we both jumped in the shower and spent the next 20 minutes trying to extricate poo from everywhere. gross. i have NEVER seen so much poo. OMG.

PP, I hope it's isn't that and that it goes away soon. You've seen a Dr about it?
Clare, I have nothing but a  for you over that incident
Ange, we got loads of rain so all the tanks are chocca block full again so i can relax a little with the water saving.
Arte, Paige has a fold out couch thing and A loves it too - will sit on it all the time to watch telly or play etc.
Hi Cally, MD and Cindy!
Alister is currently in bed asleep, and has been for 1hr which is really unusual for him. He has started this thing that he sometimes decides he's just had enough and wants to go to bed, so he will go and stand next to his cot holding onto his sheets till I put him in. Sometimes he will go to sleep, but most of the time he just wants a bit of time out, which is what I thought he wanted this morning but he ended up falling asleep LOL. I hear you all on the power of observation thing too, it's amazing how quickly they can pick something up and start doing it themselves. On the eating front we've now progressed to feeding oneself with a fork, and he will have it no other way LOL. He does pretty good too. I thought he was going to be like his big brother and be quite happy to be fed by someone else, but nope, now he has to do it.
-
Clare - lol at your poo story!! Sounds awfully messy, luckily you were at the motel, imagine how much worse it would have been a few hours earlier!!
-
hi there
sherie - yep been to a dr, well many drs... i cant even describe the pain i have been in. prob is that a lot of what they would do to treat they cant do bc i am pg... but it is on the improve witht he drugs i have now. i have to have 1 more ultrasound tomorrow to rule out other things and then basicaly wait it out. it is awful. it all started on wed and i went to gp on fri (had had 2 nghts of painful attacks and was so scared i ws having a miscarriage) and then on sat night i had been writhing around in pain for 7 hrs when dh took me to hospital... my mum was here and they were both really worried... anyway on stronger drugs now and it seems to have calmed down a bit, it is constant pain now but less of the 'attacks'. anyway thats enough abt me me me.
clare - lol at your story. i have a similar one with photos from a trip to syd when we stopped at goulburn! lol at the little girl crying!
sherie - that is so cute that he goes off to his cot himself. i wish N would do that!
cally - yay for holidays!!!
cindy - just read about your IU, i hope you dont end up on bed rest honey. big hugs.
rainy - you did the right thing re MIL.

Oh preg i sympathise. I get gastritis (mine is more inflammation of lining and accociated spasm), i know some triggers but sometimes it catches my by surprise. If i have pain relief on an empty stomach i am gauranteed to get an attack. The pain is so bad. When it started happening i was in yr 12 and it was triggered by stress and excessive alcohol! I had many trips to hosital and many a test to work out what was wrong. The pain is the worst i have felt, far worse than fracturing my wrist! I hope you get it under control.
Trill- our tanks are full too, i had a nice long bath while it was raining! lol
Clare- that is the poo story to top all poo stories! :o
AFM Feeling a little stuck on the carousel of housework. I can never get on top of anything. There is washing coming out my ears, you can't see the kitchen table for crap, the floor needs mopping, just when i achieve something there is another 10 things that need doing. I feel like i can never do anything properly as L is so demanding. She will play on her own if i am sitting down, but if i am doing something she is right there un-doing whatever it is. Man this housewife thing sure has fur on it sometimes. I think her being grizzly is really taking its toll today. I feel like crawling under a rock.

Have another Xmas party on Friday night and I have decided to drive... Thank god this is the last of the Xmas partys........
DH left today for the last trip of the year and should be home thursday night. OMG the boys were so naughty today and tonight. I think its cause DH is away again.
Better go X is still up and refuses to go to bed....
Sorry
Hello to everyone and I will have to catch up.
-
hi girls, just checking in..
i wrote a long post this morning and just as i was about to post it, ds unplugged me!! i am so peeeeved that i just can't write it all again!

-
Hi ladies,
Been reading and not posting again...sorry.
MD hope the move is going ok.
Clare OMG I cracked up at the poo story.
L did his first poo in the bath the other night, in fairness though he had a gastro bug and I think it was more of a fart with follow through lol.
Ange I feel the same with housework, its never ending.
PP I hope you feel better soon, it sounds horrible.
Arte how is the TTC going? BFN for me this month, oh well something to look forward to in the new year.
Noni yay for the scan, such amazing things arent they.
Trill glad you got some answers, fingers crossed the next 6 weeks are ok.
Leanne you love those fruit tingles don't you lol.
Cindy hope your doing better.
Rainy sounds like you could use some chocolate.
All our little bubbas are so clever. I love this age, its so much fun to watch them learning and I am amazed by L every day.
Sorry to anyone I missed.
-
Rainy, bummer! That must have been really annoying.
Ozstar, Sorry about the BFN, this month will be a BFN for me too - we had visitors and then on the last chance night DH turned me down! The next two months are out for us now because the IL's booked tickets to come up and visit late October next year and I am not willing to have them in the house with a brand new baby or days before I am due. You are really lucky that you only just had your first bath poo, W has consistantly been a bath time pooer, it is disgusting (but DH's job lol)
Kate, Andie, MM, hope you are all enjoying your holidays and the bubs are travelling well.
Leanne, lol at the fruit tingles, I don't miss the nights of hanging over the toilet
Clare, your new poo story is hilarious! Especially making the little girl cry lol. Did she have some sort of bug?
MD, good luck with the moving and enjoy your road trip.
PAP, that sounds terrible! I hope it gets better really soon
Ange, it is hard to keep up with housework with the anti-help following at your heels. I usually try to give W a task to help me, it is slower than doing it by myself but at least I can get it done eg if I tell him he can push the washing machine buttons he will usually wait patiently for a minute while I put the clothes in. For folding washing, could you set her up with a little basket of old clothes so she can 'fold' them while you are doing yours?
Over the weekend we went on the Toy Library float in the local christmas parade. W was tired and grumpy, but I made him wait until we were past all the crowd before I would let him have a BF. Then the parade went around the block and back down the main street! So I managed to breastfeed in front of an entire town lol
-
hey everyone,
gosh im barely keeping up here!! im barely keeping up with anything actually!! the house is awful i really wanna do something about it coz its actually so messy its depressing and im just sooo tired and frustrated.. ashas been really challenging too ofc and ive not been able to be overly nice to her the way ive been feeling which makes me feel even worse.. i basically begged dp to stay home and help me today but no luck there he said hes too busy at work sigh...

-
hi everyone
thanks for the wishes, i think i am doing a little better. back to the dr later so will see what he says.
noni - you poor thing - how many weeks are you now? are you having ms or just tired?hope it passes soon. i felt a lot better for a week or so there til i got sick. dont stress too much re the housework. i know it gets you down when it looks bad but you also need to conserve your energy for asha and growing bubs. are you and asha still doing activities each day?
arte - lol at bfeeding in front of the whole town!
leeanne - sounds like you have beenthe party queen!!!
ange - thanks for your gastritis story, i dont know anyone else with it. is it somethingthat will always recur? it really is awful isnt it. but at least i know it isnt related to baby/pregnancy which makes me feel better.
-
hey pap, glad to hear ur feeling a lil better!
i dont really have much sickness just the odd wave of nausia really.. ill be 7wks tmw by my scan.. asha and i havnt been doing activities because i just cant get up in time and functioning to get there.. ive put her name down for saturday gymberoo next term so dp can take us coz its a 25 min walk from the station and i just cant do it atm plus lifting her so much during the class as well im just sooooo tired!!
-
Preg- i presume so, i have been having 'attacks' for about 13 years now. But might not be the same for everyone. If your is caused by an infection, then presumably it will dissapear when the infection clears. Mine is more a sensitivity/reaction. Fingers crossed for you it is short term.
Leanne- i had a chuckle at your chucking, ahhhhh those were the days! How do you cope the next morning with all the kids?
I have gastro. :( Feeling sorry for myself. lying on matress on the floor with a bucket and DVD on for Lu. A gals gotta do what she can to survive.
Katie- you're making me nervous about the follow through fart now!
-
Morning Hot Mumma's,
Pregpan- I am glad you are feeling a bit better. When I was pg with Livi I was put in
hospital overnight due to that bug.
Noni- Dont stress yourself over housework. It will eventually get done.
Hello to everyone and have a great day
-
Arte- Thanks for the tips, might give it a go. Better to get a job done slowly than not at all.
-
oh no ange- will you be ok for swimming tomorrow? lulu2 is meeting us at croydon maccas for breakfast.
well BIL and i just took lewis to get his photo taken with santa and he absolutey freaked out and was petrified of him....so needless to say we left photoless....
-
Rainy: he he he we had the same thing happen with Leila! she pulled santa's beard and started crying. in the end i got in the photo too....egad. i was looking far from glamorous.
Ange: oh no you poor thing! it is tough looking after a little one when you are so sick. big hugs
