woo hoo arte!!! i told you it would work! i'm so happy
now you just have to do it a few more times and soon....like today, i just pop him in the bed with a kiss, a bottle and a teddy and walk out.
clare- big hugs...sorry for everything you're going through
trill-welcome back. your dad sounds like a nightmare!
-
Hi everyone
sorry for being a slacko!
Clare - I'm so sorry that your oma is so unwell. It must be even harder being so far away from them.
arte - that is fantastic news about W falling asleep without you. I hope he continues for you.
sorry, hopefully will be back later :)
-
Oh Clare, so sorry to hear your Oma has taken a turn for the worse. You know we are all thinking of you and sending big mega cyber hugs (can ya feel them    ???). Cry all you want sweetie, no good holding it in...you will want to be strong when you visit but you know what, it's ok to show your feelings while you're there too. xxx
PP - ah so sorry you're having a rough time, just remember, it will pass, it will get easier. Don't forget you can massage J's tummy and bicycle his legs and that might help too. xxx
Trill - ah you're one awesome family-surviving woman! Good on you, it sounds like you've worked out how to deal with your dad long-term and I reckon all power to you. xxx Nice to have you back :)
Arte - I'm so pleased for you! Well done, hope it continues and gets easier and easier! :D
Jazah - there's nothing slacko about you my dear, you're just busy off being a wonderful mummy!
Rainy we are having a clothing crisis too. I made the mistake of putting E in size 1's (which fit her when it first turned cold) but now she's bursting out of them and because i was broke during June (2 birthdays = never any money to lash out at the sales) and now there's no winter clothes left at any of the shops! Well, in size 1s and size 3s and freakishly lots of size 2 boys clothes, but nothing for girls (!!) Managed to find some long-sleeve ts at Kmart but that has been it...will just have to limp thru until spring now. With a little crack of singlet showing LOL.
Noni saw on FB you are still feeling better, hope DH is mending and you're getting more R&R now. Any niggles, any signs?
Kate - how are things going with you? I have been known to tip cold water in my DH when he's fallen asleep at inopportune moments (yep we did the hard yards in the early years of our life together) and needless to say, he now knows when to pay to attention. I found often the problem was that DH didn't realise how distressed I was over certain issues, once he understood how major it was he tried harder to sort it out, kwim? BTW - nice work on the cubby house!!
Katie - is your DH ok now? I'm sure L will go really well at FDC - it's a bit unsettling when they first start but you will find he'll love it and will thrive. It really adds something good to their lives to spend that time with someone who has a different way than you (i have found, anyway).
I've been wondering about Supa too...she did mention it was getting harder to get on the internet since they moved cos they're not getting their neighbour's free wifi anymore LOL.
Had a wonderful weekend here, met up with an oooooold friend who's been living in china, then lunch out up in the hills today - very nice. Missy E has coped remarkably well without a proper sleep this afternoon - suspect she will be in bed early tonight!
-
Hi all just a quick one from me as I am on I touch before I put n to bed
Trill look fwd to seeing u in sept cally will u be here?
Thx for all the reassurance I know just hard time that will pass Im just a lot more emotional this time too. N is being so hard think combination of toddler norm and new baby
-
yep still here.. mostly stalking lol..
few niggles and things but im ignoring them coz im not ready hahahaha soooo freaking out!!
-
Hey ladies... for anyone who wants to grab one!
We've been sick around here this weekend. Sarah brought a bug home and passed it around . Shes now developed a cough that is sounding not so good so am keeping an ear out and perhaps booking a gp appt to ease my mind.
DH and I are still struggling but getting somewhere at least. Put it this way...our wedding bands are back on our fingers, literally. Hes gotta make an appt at the doctors this week to check on his tiredness levels as well as lack of libido (part of the tiredness). I think this is a turning point...if he doesn't make an effort to visit the dr then it sorta shows that he's not interested in making the marriage work. I think he's more worried about losing S then losing me. Anyway...I' m feeling pretty serene about it all. Sort of like Que Sara Sara. Don't get me wrong, still have breakdown moments but have got a game plan in place if things do head south.
Enough about me and this selfish little post....like I said before hugs all round (and yep, i'll take as many back as I can..;))
Thanks ladies

Kate, :grouphug: we are all here for you, not that we can do much but feel free to vent away. I know that when things have been really rough between DH and I it is only W that makes us make the effort to get things going again.
Noni, hope there is some action at your place soon.
MD, I met up with one of my high school best friends a while back, we hadn't seen each other since we were about 18. It was good to catch up, but after the who is doing what catch-up it got awkward - she talked for about 15 minutes about some weird medical condition she has that gives her stomach ache and red urine and I was really glad when DH and W walked by and I made and excuse to go lol. It is really hard to find a groove when you haven't seen someone for ages.
We were up for 3 hours with W last night, he won't stay in his bed by himself and wakes up and throws a massive wobbley if you try to leave. Not sure what to do next.
-
MD - can you buy the bigger pants and put a big hem in them? K currently has about a 2inch hem in her size 1 Bonds tracksuit pants, but her size 0's are too small. I think Bonds must have changed sizes. I'm finding that Target seem to be on track for her size. Yay for the singlet suits, aren't they great for keeping them warm!!
Trill - have written down in the diary when you will be up. Can foresee a couple of issues, K's birthday on the 13th and we have to be up the next weekend because we are going to see Plop at the theatre. Will try my best though.
Kate - hope you and DH sort it out.
Noni - don't forget, bubs is runnning out of room in there, a bit of decreased movement is to be expected. Is DH feeling any better yet?
PAP - Happy Birthday for the other day!!
-
Cally - what's plop???
Sherie - i will be here and looking fwd to seeing you! we can work out closer where to meet. my ILs are here this weekend... so a good excuse to escape LOL! we will also be having N's party that weekend i think - better get my butt into gear and plan something LOL.
Clare/Rainy/Ange - i will prob be in melb the next week so we shld plan something then... YAY!
Clare - big hug to you, it is suha tough time for you honey. i am thinking of you. your oma and opa are lucky to have you too.
Arte - it sounds like overall W's sleep is really improving. aside from last night LOL. N does that too... in fact their sleep sounds v similar.you will be really glad when the new bubbais here that you are doing this now. i am happy with N;s sleep now - he is easy to resettle and we dont mind it like this - and so glad we did a few hard yards before Jakey was here. think we may avoid sleep school after all. how are you feeling btw - you are getting quite close now.
Noni - slower mvts - had them too (i went in for monitoring on the fri before he was born) so i think this is a good sign... i know what you mean re bveing ok with it not happening yet bc so tired/busy but that will all melt away when you hold him.
Rainy - cant believe Lis sooooo big! My N fits the 18-24 month CR stuff mainly... I love their stuff, Dh laughs when i get those 'valued customer' offers - thinks it shows i blow way too much cash there LOL! go on work there and get me a discount!
Kate - a hug to you as well. i hope your DH does make and keep those appts, it sounds like you do have something worth saving. you sound better this week though which is great to see. jealous of the brissie meet up.
Umm everything else has escaped my mind so hi to all the rest of you...
All is ok here. N is much better, dr put him on antibiotics which cleared up his throat a lot. J is still v snuffly, we have been using saline and steaming him in the bathroom (lol that sounds like i have been cooking him - i am laughing picturing him in a bamboo steamer LOL) which has helped. he is still feeding well - takes 1 side most of the time and maybe afew sucks of the other. he is a super efficient feeder, was a bit worried about it til i saw he has outgrown heaps of clothes so he must be getting enough LOL. mum came into canb yest and is shocked how big he looks compared to last sunday... so thats also a good sign. we are taking N to a physio on thu - bit worried about his physical devt (for a chg) as he still stumbles a lot... Dh thinks maybe a turned out/in foot or sonething like that... will be good to have it checked out. we also have a 'parent teacher' session at kindy tomorrow - cant wait to hear what he gets up to in more detail! he is chging so much atm, a real handful in a good and bad way LOL. we are def in etrrible 2 territory on top of bieng a big bro all of a sudden. getting heaps of snetences, weird concepts understood, counting to about 15 (and about 5 in hebrew) and doing lots of imaginary play etc. he is a joy to be around.
am totally besotted with J and to be honest i cant wait for the days when it is just the 2 of us in some ways - i think the loveb/n a mum and newborn is a bit like a love affair...
-
Cally, I thought that would be a problem with the dates. It's OK if you can't come though :)
Kate, I really really hope that you and DH can work things out and you get through this rough patch together. He doesn't realise what he's losing I'm sure of it  And dont ever worry about being selfish with your posting if you need to be - we all need help at times and we're here for you as an outlet.
HAHA PP! I get valued customer letters too LOL, but DH never sees them ;) I just got two big orders from Gymboree and told DH the second one was just stuff that was on backorder from the last one. I will have to work out a bit of an itinerary for when I'm down, but happy to fit in with you and the boys. The main thing I wanted to do was see floriade - I got an outfit for SIL's wedding while we were away, so I don't have to worry about doing that while there, but no doubt there will be some retail therapy as all the summer gear will be in the shops by then.
G, this is the only time I will ever say something like this, but I think it's a good thing you had two boys and not a pink one ROFL!!! Your DH's bank balance will be thanking you hehe ;) There isn't anywhere around here that sells CR kids gear, so I don't know what they have got. Alisters gymboree jeans are a size 2T and they are just right for him ATM cause just when he starts to put on a bit of weight, he gets taller, so his pants sit lower again LOL.
MD my love! How are things going with you? Sounds like you had a great catch up, it's good for the soul isn't it? The clothes situation is a bit of a bugger at this time of year isn't it? I have had the same problem with the older kids growing out of stuff and they are just gonna have to make do. Luckily it wont be that much longer here and there will be a definite spring feel in the air.
Clare, so sorry to hear that your Oma isn't doing too well  I hope your Opa is taking well too, poor man. So how is the housing front going? I read in the melb paper the other day that there has been an issue with realtors not advertising the reserve price, so properties sell for so much mroe, which sounds like has been happen to you two and it sucks bigtime! Apparently they have to advertise it now, so maybe it will help you out so you know where you stand.
Arte, I hope you get the sleep sorted soon  . maybe you could put him back into the cot? Having Alister back in our room has worked really well for us too.
Not much happening here - kids go back to school tomorrow and I'm so glad - they are at the constant nit-picky stage and driving me mental LOL. And Alister's eating has improved too! He is eating a lot more in each sitting now which is great. I think he's put on a bit of weight too as he looks a bit thicker in the middle LOL. And the sleeping is much improved! he will settle in his cot now without me there and so long as the telly is on in our room I think he will be right. And the other thing is eating out - he was an absolute terror before but while we were away and eating out most of the time he is really good to take out now thankfully! it's not so scary to contemplate going out for dinner now.
-
Hi all
Big hugs all round :grouphug: Sounds like mostly everyone needs one!!
Cally that reminds me I always bought bigger for DD1 and hemmed them, but haven't done that at all yet for Missy E (lazy mummy 2nd time round LOL). She's still in a few of her size 1 pants - I just have to hoik them over her chobbly thighs when I'm dressing her LOL.
PP - yay if you can give sleep school a miss! (the food is particularly baaaaad) LOL.
Arte, I saw your other thread, I hope you've got some useful ideas. Too weird about your catchup with your friend!
Well chemo again tomorrow and after that I'm going to attempt to whip out an essay while I'm on the roids as I've only got a month now to get all my assignments done ... hehehe hoping the roids turns me into a mega-fast typer LOL hmmmm we'll see. If y'all see me around BB you'll have to remind me to get my work done... or I might have to visit the ban me thread.
-
md- best of luck tomorrow, thinking of you xoxo
you better not do the 'ban me' thing, we'll be lost without you!
sherie- yes i know what you mean about me having a pink one,i think it would've killed us financially...way too many beautiful oobi girls' bloomers and pinafores. i would not have been able to cope! PMSL
how tall is alister now?
pap- we should totally plan something when you're in melb.
apparantely there's a CR valued customer offer coming in the first week of august. woo hoo! i'm stalking my mailbox
arte- how's all the sleep going?
damn post office lady gave dh my parcel today when he dropped in to buy milk...nearly got me busted for making purchases (leona edmiston dress) on the sly.....
really hope she doesn't make a habit of this! it will definitely halt my online purchases for a while
oh girls, did anyone watch 'east of everything'? loved it, totally loved it
and....anyone got any ideas what i can buy for a 4year old girl's birthday?
-
A good picture storybook! Any dress-up items. When DD turned 4 she got a puppet theatre with a few puppets - it was a real hit - so maybe even a small set of finger puppets. Oh and musical things - whistles, shakers, etc. hehe Drive the parents crazy LOL.
-
i LOVE the dress-ups idea...woo hoo!!!
music hhhmmm....what about some drums????
-
You mean a rock-n-roll drum set? LOL I think DD1 was about 4 when she got her first 'tabla' (middle eastern drum) - she loved it and played it all the time. It's Missy E's now, so if they have younger kids it will get used by everyone!
-
well looks like i'll have to take a little shopping trip. thanks for those ideas md. i really love the dress up one.
i'm getting jimmy's professional photos done today..wooo hooo...can't wait to see how they turn out. can you believe the little hairy one is 5 months old already?????
-
No, I can't believe he is 5 months old already! the time has just flown by. LOL at you nearly getting busted by him - I'm like that with parcels too but luckily because our mailbox is nearly 3km away, I can leave any parcels in the car till he is not around ;) But sometimes if the parcel is too big for the box, our mailman actually comes up to the house, so I've been busted like that once or twice LOL. last time I measured Alister he was 92cm tall but I don't think he's grown much taller since then. I love the idea of puppets - you can get some gorgeous little puppet theatres these days too. My girls would play for hours with something like that if we had one.
MD, good luck with the chemo today  I hope it doens't lay you out and you can't get your assignments done. Mum told me yesterday that her partner has to go back for another round of chemo as his oncologist finally decided that the spots on his liver that were there at the end of the first round months ago are actually cancer so now he has to have more chemo poor bloke. Mum is pretending that everything is hunky dory as usual and my brother is taking it a bit hard, but luckily he was still seeing his counsellor from last time.
-
hey everyone,
im still heeeerrreeeeeee lol.
gl to md for the chemo :) hope it all goes as well as it can!
-
PAP - Plop is on at the Canberra Theatre. I think it is a stage show with big costumes etc or maybe puppets. One of my friends went last year with her then 20mth old who just sat agog for 30 minutes watching so I'm hoping K does the same and I'm not chasing her around the theatre!!
Rainy - yep, I watched East, was great!
MD - hope the chemo went well.
-
wow sherie, i could get fit just walking to the driveway if i lived at your place! LOL i hate getting busted for online purchases!
noni- how's everything going?
cally- i'm thinking this series of east is going to be even better than last. it was a great start.
jimmy's photos turned out amazing, he looks absolutely gorgeous. i'm so happy! will put some in our sep fb group as soon as i get the disk
hope md's going ok today
-
ok which one of you ladies is my generous friend???
I think i have a hunch... THANK YOU!
-
Rainy can't wait to see Jimmy's photos. I cant believe he is 5 months old already, where does the time go.
MD hope all went well yesterday xoxo
Noni not long to go now, I am so excited for you.
PAP glad N is feeling better! Did you get a little surprise? How lovely.
Kate I hope you and your Dh can get through this rough patch, sending you loads of hugs
Arte we are having a few issues with sleep here too, though not as bad as you. I hope that you can find a solution soon.
Where is MM?
A big huge hello to everyone else.
I meant to say thanks to everyone for all the encouragement with DS going to FDC, I am sure he is going to be fine. I still feel a little guilty being a SAHM and using care but I am sure once I start enjoying the me time that will change lol. Having a quiet week this week (thank goodness) I think I have about a million loads of washing to do though.
-
pap did u get a mystery package?? how nice!!
im still just dragging myself along lol.. im soooo tired i feel like i could fall asleep at any minute and when im on the lounge or resting i tend to start falling asleep lol which is not good when i have Asha around gosh shes very into getting things she isnt allowed to have atm!! am trying to keep myself busy on the comp this morning.. i really need to do some washing but i just dont know if im up for it.. maybe my body is forcing me to rest up for the big event?? not sure! cant believe i am due on sunday.. not much happening tho i have a feeling im probably gonna go overdue again tho who knows i spose.. SIL has told me i cant have him this weekend because shes going away for some craft weekend.. i dont know how serious she is lol coz she had her bub via planned c/s at 38wks but i have mentioned it dosnt quite work that way lol.. she will be out of mobile phone range too so shes worried shes gonna miss out.. not much i can do about that lol..
hows everyone doing??
rainy - did u say jimmy is 5mths old? i cant believe that i feel like hes still a newborn lol crazy how the time has flown!!
anyways i might bbl :)
-
Pregpan lucky girl! Can't wait to see your avvy!!
Arte - how's things in your house?
Katie you will soon find that the time L is in care is gobbled up pretty quickly by all the things it's easier to do without him leaving not a huge chunk of me time LOL. Trust me the guilt will wash off when you start feeling the benefits of that time.
Noni, hang in there and rest as much as you can...I kwym about them getting into everything. Lucky for us Missy E has a putting away fetish, so after she's pulled something out she very happily stacks it all back into the cupboard, drawer, etc. She even found a book DH was reading a few weeks ago on the book shelf, thought it was in the wrong place, and returned it to the spot she'd seen it next to his side of the bed PMSL.
Rainy far out I can't believe it's been 5 months already...that's wild! I reckon I'd get fit on Trill's driveway too.
Trill sorry to hear about your mum's partner having to go back for more. I hope he gets a really good result from this round of treatment. When you've been thru it once you hope it's all behind you but the reality is, many people have many rounds of treatment over many years.
Speaking of which yesterday has hit me pretty hard, I am soooo tired. DH took the girls to school & care this morning (speaking of guilt, Katie LOL) so I could sleep longer but I'm still flaked. Haven't taken my roids yet...am dreading being manic but exhausted at the same time. Anyhoo it's all good, only 2 more cycles now and my family still love me even tho I'm about to transform into a crabby witch complete with pimples and bad hair.
-
MD, Do you still have a stock of Haighs? Might be time to get into that. Is it as bad as you were imagining? How is the hair situation? Is your sis going to get the chance to graffiti your scalp? How is H handling it all? Hope you get the chance to laze around and recouperate for a couple of days.
PAP, how exciting, can't wait to see your avatar. Good luck to Sherie finding a boy pic with enough hair lol Well done to N for counting to 15! W can do up to 10 but just by rote, he doesn't have a concept of what the numbers mean beyond 3.
Noni, hope it happens for you soon. Has the flu cleared up?
Rainy, that is amazing that J is 5 months old! Can't believe how fast this year is going.
Trill, OMG at A being 92cm! W was 84cm when he was measured a couple of months ago. Must be hard for your brother with his dad being so sick all the time.
Cally, good luck with the show.
Clare, hope that you are doing o.k up with your grandparents.
MM, are you o.k?
Might be making progress with the sleep, such a mixed bag that it is hard to tell.
Yesterday at the daycare we play at there were a few older kids that had some tracks set up and W was sitting near them putting train carriages together. Then he tried to put his trains on the track and one of the big kids pushed them off so I went over to tell them to share, but W just shook his head and said "not my turn" and went back to playing with his trains until the big kids were finished! He seems to have grasped the sharing and turns concepts very well.
And the other day we were sitting on the couch and he randomly gave me a big hug and said "I love you very very much", so cute. Much better than the time he walked past me and said "smells like farts" lol
-
just need to have a little cry/vent.. noticed today on ashas sheets there was mould!! i think shes spilt her bottle or something there.. anyway i didnt feel too bad it was only a little bit thought it was probably just because its been so cold and she always takes her bottle to bed etc.. so i stripped off the sheets and the matress protector had heaps on it!! i feel like such a bad mum!! asha hasnt been that well lately and thats probably why shes been sleeping with mould!! thank god i had a matress protector on the bed because the matress is completely fine but jeez i feel like the worst mum in the world!!!
-
 Noni your not a bad mum at all. We all make mistakes so please dont beat yourself up!!
-
noni- don't stress about it hun, at least you got onto it now.
katie-i'm just waiting to get the photos back from getting 'touched up'. i'm so excited! thinking of getting a couple of ones printed on canvas.
md- hope you're having some relaxation time and watching some bad reality tv. i think farmer wants a wife starts next monday- you like that one don't you?
trill- lewis was 92cm at last check too!
i went to the new 'babies r us' store today. total letdown- had the exact same stuff as the baby section of 'toys r us' basically.
has anyone checked out the absolutely massive trampoline they have in the target sale- it's $700 reduced to $400 and is huge!!! we're thinking of getting it for lewis' birthday.
no i can't believe jimmy is not a newborn...we're thinking of starting him in swimming lessons in 3 weeks. crazy huh?
hi to everyone else xoxo
eta- oh i forgot to add- 2 people called jimmy a girl today! a lady in a shop said to me 'your daughter has such beautiful hair' and i said 'he's a boy' and she said 'oh he's so feminine and pretty looking' WTF!!!!
-
get used to it rainy!!!! N gets called a girl ALL THE TIME... no matter what i dress him in...
he actually says 'I'm a boy' now..
-
oh no pap! Lol
he was wearing blue too!!!
i'll have to start teaching jimmy the 'i'm a boy' line
can't wait to see N's hair in your av!
-
Rainy, well DD1 was constantly getting called a boy...even when she was dressed head to toe in pink! LOL Old ladies were the worst offenders. DD2 never had that problem...YAY for farmer wants a wife...I had no idea that was coming back on...have been watching firefly on an old recommendation of my BSG-buddy Arte. And I"m *completely updated* on the world according to Oprah PMSL.
Arte - yep, hair's holding up, find it all over the house but there's still plenty on my head - you wouldn't know by looking at me. No henna tatts this time round LOL! I am clear out of Haighs and don't have the income to support my habit right now LOL. Back on to plebby old cadbury, I have noticed they are skimping on their almonds of late...
Ah Noni, don't beat yourself up...mould grows really quickly, you'd be surprised it's prolly just sprung up over a couple of days. Make sure you sun the mattress & sheets out if you get a couple of sunny days. Also check that the roof/walls are not leaking, it could be there's a problem with dampness somewhere in the room that the landlord needs to do something about, kwim?
-
MD, are you enjoying Firefly? It is a goodie (as William would say lol). I can't buy Cadbury atm, I can't forgive them for repackaging and making the blocks so much smaller! I know there is a recession, but this is the only move that has actually affected me and I am not happy about it! Glad your hair is staying put. Do you have thick hair to begin with? I would lose all mine, it is fine and skimpy. I had bald patches on the sides after the post-baby hair loss.
Noni, don't feel bad, as MD said it can grow very quickly. I found an empty milo cup on W's bed about a week ago, then yesterday I was changing the sheets and realised that it had soaked through all his blankets (and it was stinky!). Poor kid has been sleeping in crusty old milk stain.
-
I have loads of hair (ie lots of hair very dense on my scalp) but it's very fine...which is good because I find it all over the house now (with my super-hairloss-sensitive eyesight LOL) but most other ppl including my family are largely oblivious to how much comes out cos it's not very visible. Except in the bathroom, I send DH in to vaccuum it all up for me. See I'm happy to forgive Cadbury for their resizing because the price has also gone down (at least at the shop I shop at) and I'm happy to have chocolate for under $3. Yep Firefly is a goodie, except a bit annoying cos DH has seen Serenity and keeps piping up with comments even tho he totally bagged the movie when he saw it (I suppose it didn't make as much sense if u didn't see Firefly first??). Have you seen Dollhouse?
-
ROFL Arte, that comment sure does make up for the last one!
Noni, don't worry about the mould - it's happened here too a couple of times and it has always grown within a day. It will stain the sheets though, so give it a good wash then hang on the line for a few days for the sun to bleach it.
Oz, don't worry about the FDC, I would do it too if I didn't have anyone to call on to look after the kids while stuff needed doing - it's just not possible to take them with you all the time not to mention being a whole lot more productive at home without them LOL.
G, how can someone possibly think he's a girl? He doens't look girly or feminine at all! He's just a boy with a hell of a lot of hair LOL.
PP, now you've set me a challenge ;) I will have to change the dates on my trip too cause of Paige's school orientation day - it will only be to the next day though unless it finishes early enough and I can still leave on the Friday.
MD, nothin wrong with being a pleb and having to resort to ole' cadbury again. You should try some green and blacks too as they are quite cheap and taste sooo good.
not much happening today - catching up on washing as usual cause the weather has been dodgy. Alister hasn't been terribly well either - he's had super nasty nappies which look like they have a lot of mucous in them which I assume could be finally making it's way out after his cold and he jst swallowed what he was coughing up, but this morning he also vomited a bit too. He's been fine the rest of the day, but he actually had a 2hr sleep today and felt a bit hot when he woke up. I will just keep an eye on him I suppose.
-
Sorry girls been a bit slack lately, & also busy with work & home improvements.
Rainy - I am actually shocked that J is now 5 months old, where has the time gone? Yes I saw the target tramp on display, its massive & looks like heaps of fun, definately get it for L. He will love it. We are getting a tramp for chrissy for M. Funny you should mention Oobi, had a look at some of their stuff today, I want to buy her the pink marilyn dress for her birthday dress. Which is the best place to buy Oobi online? Also doesnt your DH notice the money coming outta the bank account, I cant get away with too much shopping as my Dh will see it on the statement lol. I have noticed that CR have some really good sales, they had some earlier this yr but I didnt see anything I wanted. Wish I could come for a shopping day with you!!
Noni - Dont beat yourself up!!! I am stalking your status updates on Fb waiting for some action.
Arte - I am constantly amazed at W's language skills!
Oz - When does L start at daycare or has he started? A week at home sounds great.
Trill - Hope A isnt getting sick.
MD - Re the putting away fetish, at least she isnt whipping things out left right & center making a huge mess of the house!
Clare - Sorry to hear about your Oma. :(
Kate - Glad to hear things are seeming to be back on track, I hope things continue to improve from here on. Dont be afraid to vent in here, we all have our go!
Hi to everyone I've missed, had a quick skim through your posts.
AFM - Been so busy this week, my weeks are now full on. Wednesday is practically my only day off during the week. Apart from that we have been laying flooring in our house & still have two rooms & the sanding/polishing to go.
I think we have hit terrible twos with M, she is an absolute nightmare in public lately. Also she is pushing & shoving other kids & doing the whiney 'nooooooo' at everything. Apart from that she is lots of fun and seems to be doing pretty ok with her language skills.
Went to the doc today for my post surgery check up. I was starting to feel sad waiting in the waiting room, with all the pregnant bellies. Here I was thinking I was over it all. Really had to control myself in front of my doc, she is so kind & understanding & you know how sometimes when people are so nice it makes you even sadder? Anyway made it through & everything is fine, I just have to go for a liver function test. I almost died when I asked her when to expect my period & she said around about now & could it be possible that I am pregnant now? I was so embarrassed as DH & I havent done ANYTHING since just before the surgery & he doesnt want to do anything at all. He says that he doesnt want to hurt me (I am not hurting anymore) & he doesnt want this to happen again. The doctors told us to wait 3 mths before trying again & his plan is to not do anything at all in this time to avoid it again. I dont know if this is just an excuse though, I kind of get the feeling that he is no longer interested in sex. Anyway enough rambling from me!!

just quickly cos i gotta go to playgroup,
hayley--big hugs honey. your dh sounds like a sweety,i really doubt he's off dtd, just more concerned for you and doesn't want tosee you hurt or in pain.
i bought my friend's dd the pink marilyn dress for her 1st b'day and she looked gorgeous! i buy most of my stuff online from cradle rock- i find them fantastic. other places online i like are ten little indians, shophouse, the kids store and the rocking horse. shop around a bit between these sites for oobi as they'll often have specials. if all the prices are the same and they've got my size then i always buy from cradle rock. the people at cradle rock are really helpful and quick delivery!
ummmm....well i hate to say it cos it sounds really bad but i usually blow my centrelink money on shopping. dh is ok with me having that as 'spending money'. things might have to tighten up a bit soon though when our baby bonus runs out! dad is also really generous with the boys and spends heaps of money on them-i just direct him towards the things i like! lol
i'd loooovveee to go shopping with you!

Hey ladies, thought i'd pop and say Hi.
When i don't have the time or inclination to reply to all of you personally i tend not to reply at all.
After being treated very poorly for a long time the straw finally broke the camels back and Glenn resigned. So we're looking around from a new venture. He's been offered three jobs in the local area, one in Dromana and one in SA. HE is also applying for one in PNG, but it's a pretty massive job and they've had alot of interest apparently, so not sure whether that will go anywhere.
Lu has been sick for 2 weeks now, a cold to begin with then a temp for 5 days straight, then a horrible cough which kept her up all night. She is on AB's for a chest infection and ventolin for the cough, so she slept last night. Wooohooo. Thanks for thinking of us on FB too ladies.
So i'm around, but busy, have to pack house again, can you believe it?? The next house will be the 4th in 4 months! :o
MM- We had a throw yourself on the floor tanty in safeway last week. Pretty embarrassing. i just walked away, she stopped soon enough but i couldn't wait to get out of there.
Clare- I'm so sorry about your Oma. It must be a really tough time for you.
Rainy....... boooohooo i want pics too! As soon as we're better i'm up for an outing. Very stir crazy atm.
