Awww Crumpet, love the avvy!

As for having another one - NOPE! This shop is shut! After both of my first two, within minutes I was ready to have another, but Josh was just so much more painful. No thanks. We'd already decided on only having three anyway, but that just drove the point home.

Great weight gain for Miss S! Phew on the infection! My mw was the same after the birth of DS1. We didn't realise how close we came to losing him during his birth until well after the fact. Glad I didn't know at the time!

Us: Well we had another brilliant night! Josh is my best sleeper by far. He has slept for five hours' straight for two nights in a row which is awesome for a bf bub. He then tends to wake up, have a feed and then sleep for a few more hours. I certainly prefer that to DS2 who use to feed every two hours at night and every hour during the day! I'm loving having DH home too, as are the older boys. DS2 loves holding Josh and is always asking "My turn?" or "I hold?" then he refuses to hand him back! So sweet! He pats him while he's holding him too which is adorable. I'm very much in love with all of my boys :D

disgirl - that must be lovely seeing how your older boys are with Josh! I feel all warm inside just seeing how David's cousins love him to bits :) woohoo on fitting into pre-preg clothes! I've still got 5 kilos to lose, and it all seems to be on my hips/butt, 'cause it's my pants I can't fit into - but hopefully I can fix all that once I'm allowed to swim again.

Btw, do I need to wait until after my 6-wk check or can I swim once the bleeding has stopped?

our little trip this morning went really well - David was a bit grumpy getting in and out of the car so many times, but did really well in the sling, falling asleep each time. At feed time DH dropped me at mum and dad's place which was nearby and I fed him there while DH went looking at a few other places he needed to go to, then he picked us up and we went to the last place. So we managed to sort out new work clothes for DH and his employee, tile grout colour, picked out our carpet colours and got an air-con quote all in the same morning (plus DH checked out liquid limestone for the verandah and got a mist fan thing for his nursery.
So this week's jobs for me are organising/paying for the air-con, carpet and paint ready for next month - it's all happening! So, so, so happy we can get air-con straight away - was dreading moving in for the March heat with a bub. :)

how old do babies have to be before that can go swimming?

AFU: all good still, no dramas or issues.

went and did the groceries and took the baby bjorn and OMG i HATE HATE HATE IT!!!!

it made my hips hurt like i was 36 weeks pregnant again, it hurt my back and i felt like Summah was going to fall out, even though she wasnt it didnt feel right, so looks like the one i got from the circle will be going on ebay!

Ditto to this. Both DH and I LOVE our HAB and so have all of our boys :)

As for the bleeding, well I'm weeks behind you guys, but I bled for 5 weeks and 5 days with DS1 and DS2 so I won't be holding my breath waiting for it to stop :(

Yay, we had a fun day today. Went to the inlaws and my three big boys all had a swim. Couldn't get DS1 out of the pool actually. Josh slept almost the entire time we were there - about three hours. He likes his sleep that kid :)

crumpet: my bleeding had nearly stopped by day two. And now its only when I wipe and sometimes not even then :)

Disgirl: glad to see your boys like there little brother.

Jen: it's lucky you'll have the aircon straight away. Oh and do you find it frustrating getting him in and out of the car all the time? Cos it takes me forever to get Malaila in and out!

em - getting David in and out of the car just makes him cranky - especially as yesterday he had happily gone to sleep in his car seat in between stops and also fell asleep each time in the sling - just the transfers made him wake up :) But he survived - I'm sure he'll get used to it!

Tegam - I'm dying to go for a swim, but worried about infection if things aren't all healed up inside - medical opinions/advice?

crumpet - looking forward to using my HAB, but it's too hot here atm - I bought the ABA cool sling online when it was 20% off - was about $40 from memory - been using that and it's pretty good - can use it from birth and it holds David really close to my body so I haven't had any back issues except when I vacuumed with him in it (he loved it and promptly fell asleep) - but that's probably because I was bending down a lot with the vacuum. So I'll switch to HAB when the weather cools down a bit I think - they are more secure in the HAB than the cool sling.

Ok, off to do last feed, then bed :) Good night, everyone!

Jen: I cant remember if you tore? Stitches? Even so id say at 30days you'd be fine if the bleeding has stopped. I know they dont like women using tampons for a while longer but thats introducing something into the vjj.... I am swimming in my own pool which i know DH keeps all the levels ok... but i go back to thinking thats its been a month...id swim. Well that was probably absolutly no help....sorry :lol:

Disgirl: Nice you go a sleeper, em said this morning that malaila had given her a 5hr stretch. Im happy if i get one stretch of 4hrs and two stetches are amazing!

Kit & Fo3: So babies??? FO3 are you being induced today????

AFM: Oh i was planning on coming in here and raving about my little girl, but ive run out of time. She is perfect and i do believe everyone should have a 4th to experience how easy and lovely this baby/mothering thing can be! I have always enjoyed my bubs but this is perfection!

Tegam, that's beautiful! I am feeling the same way about Josh. It's so much easier to enjoy him than I thought it would be. I seem to have more time because he's sleeping so well *touch wood*. I can't imagine going back for #4 now though. I am thinking my body has definitely had enough.
Oh, LOVED your pics on FB too!

Crumpet, def look into the HAB. I have a bad back and I've been able to carry the two older boys in it up to at least 12 months and DS2 is a boofa.

Jen and Em, I'm guessing you guys don't have a capsule carseat? I just leave Josh in there as much as possible when getting in and out of the car and he sleeps through it.

Us: We had our pead check and hearing test at the hossy today and my mw popped down to see us too since she'd just delivered a bub :) All is good with my little man, he was very well behaved for the nurse and doctor. My back is starting to really play up though, so I'm going to call my osteo/chiro today to get an appt. Don't know how I'm going to manage it though, he's 45 mins away and if Josh needs a feed... I guess I'll just have to take him along to the appt with me.

We're still having good nights with Josh, but DS2 is playing up. I was up with him for hours last night and he refuses to let DH settle him. If DH goes into the boys' room, DS2 chucks a wobbly, yelling at him to go away and that he wants mummy. It might sound sweet that I'm wanted so much, but at 1:30am and an hour or more to re-settle him - I can do without it thanks!

Disgirl: nup don't have a capsule. I remember when my brother was a baby the capsules used to have that big velcro strap that just went around there belly. But I see that they all have harnesses now, how the times have changed.

AFm, Malaila slept for 5hrs last night! Freaked me out though! however she hasn't slept well today and everytime I put her down she'd wake up but I finally now have got her down and shes still asleep so yay. My stupid nurses shoulder is playing up- probably from carrying DD around, but it's such a pain. Anyways might go have a lie down before DH gets home- well i'll try anyway.

disgirl: glad your little man is sleeping so well for you, but sorry that Ds2 is giving you a hard time, DD2 is a bit the same, she cried so much for me the other day when i wnet to the shops, DH was taking them to the pool, that she vomited all over the front steps while i was pulling out of the drive way. She loves her little sister but think she just loves me more ;)

Em: wow thinking of more babies already, i dont know if I could of had another one while DD2 was younger, shes has alwasy been a bit of a handful and at 4 she she is still my llittle terror cat but is heaps better that she was at 2, I think i would have been in the loony house had i had another eariler. ;) I do feel bad we didnt get the boy for DH but since this little miss was a surprise we wont be having any more.

Tegam: glad everthings going well with miss Mollie, I feel a strange kind of calm this time round, and i guess that reflects on Nellie she has been wonderful, maybe you do really need to have 3 or more kids to get it right, lol :)

crumpet: I love your new avvy too :) I remember from when my girls were little they couldnt start swimming lessons (mummy and bub) until 6 mths but thats not to say they cant go in before that, maybe Dr Tegam might answer that better for you :)

Jen: whats a cool sling? mine is one I had with the girls its a bubba moe, its pretty good but the fabric is so thick it would be really hot in there, she loves it but i think it just would be really hot.

AFM all is lovely in our house at the moment, Nellie is gorgeous and I just love her to bits, as I have said she was our little surprise baby but now shes here I cant imagin not having her. We are going to DH parents for a few days at Pomona, tmrw its lovely where they live. Then its back to school drop offs, dont know how we will go, DH is home til the thurs so he can help for the first 3 days at least. Anyway hope your enjoying being mummys its the hardest job in the world girls, but the most rewarding too. Hugs to everyone xoxox

I'm on my own with the boys today! Kinda freaking out about it!!!! Mum will be coming over this arvo, so I only have to make it until then. DS2 had another shocker of a night so I'm already tired. I'm sure we'll be fine though - Josh is so cruisey, it's the other two that wear me out :)

AFU: been and had a haircut this morning, which she slept through thank god coz she is a bit cranky today.... even the swing isnt keeping her happy! :wall: could be a long afternoon at this rate! thank god she doesnt scream its just whinging really.....

we have her photo shoot tomorrow so im pretty excited about that!!

and then its thursday..... G's birthday :( am far from coping with that but i wont go into that, will just be glad when its over and we can work our way up again

Tegam - yes, stiches for me, but seem to be healing up alright - I was more worried about internally if everything would be sealed off and finished, IYKWIM - stopped bleeding a week ago, but still get a slight discharge once or twice a day (wearing liners atm). It's ok, I can wait - only a couple of weeks til my ob appt now.

Disgirl - yay for Josh sleeping so well - maybe 3rd and 4th bubs are so chilled out because they have to be? :)

loulou - check out mothersdirect website - it's the ABA cool sling - there's a pic on there. It's made with a mesh fabric so it breathes more easily. I just have to watch that David's head doesn't slide out the side if I'm bending over, but he's very secure for just general walking around etc.

crumpet - hugs to you - when you think of G, cuddle that gorgeous girl of yours - it might not take away the sadness, but it will make you smile :)

Had a successful outing down at the shops today - took pram this time and managed to score a pram park - yippee! Did HBF, Medicare, a few bits and pieces then since DS was asleep int he pram, decided to check out the Target baby sale - loaded up with lots of 00 and 0 winter things, then DS decides it's time for a feed - lovely screaming all while I was queued up. I was wondering what sort of mum I'd be - would I get flustered with a screaming baby in public? The answer is . . no, I was as cool as a cucumber - yes, my baby is screaming, but look at him, he's gorgeous - and besides, wouldn't you scream if you wanted my boobs and I wouldn't give them to you? (no I didn't actually say that out loud) Anyway, he calmed down by the time we left, so I just went home to feed him. David's clothes shopping for the next 6months - check. Keeping my cool with a public screamer - check. :)
