I'm no help WMM, sorry. Poor little Wyatt. You are definitely not a crap mum - you rock. I know how you feel though, Ryan got an infected big toe from an ingrown toe nail. HOw the heck does a baby get an ingrown toe nail :dunno: I felt like I had failed him. If it were me, I'd probably go to the doctors just to make sure. :hug:
It's the tip of his foreskin. It's all red. It was fine when I changed his night nappy, then he had on a WW MCN for an hour or so, when I changed it for his nap it was all red :(
I've just had a google and it says it's perfectly normal to get a red 'ballooning' look sometimes. And as long as urine is free flowing and it's not painful it's ok.
Any thoughts?
Chase gets red marks on his willy sometimes at the foreskin and I think its from chafing cos of his disposable nappy, only has the red marks in the morning when I change him over to cloth. You dont use disposable though do you?? Just MCN's all the time?
maybe just see how it goes for the next few hours. the red on Chase's usually just goes away after a couple of hours without me doing anything.
Jaki-boys will get red on the end from sitting in nappies all the time and it can get damp in nappies dont panic little girls get red fanwahs to just put a little nappy rash cream on the tip and on the out side to help stop the urine stinging it until it settles.
My boys all had that from time to time and they are fine when they reach about 5-7 the forskin starts to loosen from around the top and they can pull it back to clean it
But for now nothing needs doing other than rash cream or if you notice it gets worse.
Oh! and its good to let them have air time with no nappy on i did that and do it with Ella after being in nappies all the time its good to let it air out lol

ferals, it is horrid! were so glad there not renewing our lease. its a brick house but old, we went to flip our matress and the underside is damp:sick: so hard waste end of the month, out it gose.
wmm i think that is normal for boys. my 2 always seemed to resolve on its own. just make sure theres no fluff stuck cos that can lead to infection.
AGGHH screaming sick kids, all 4 of them are home sick and looks like trent will have daycare off tommorow to. :( im going to hope fully put the girls down for a nap, and a 3d movie for the boys. (the HAVE to sit still so the glasses dont fall off! lol) got to try get my quiet time somehow!

Ingrown toenails OMG! my 13yr old has had his big toes done 3 times and the last time was quarterised with a horrible machine and it worked for one toe but the other has grown back and is infected again he had to give up soccer they were so bad.
I have never seen a bub with them what do they do for babies teni?
What miserable weather i am home alone with ella bored sh#tless all my housework is done i vaccumed and mopped the floors did all the washing washed our sheets did all the folding and even cleaned the 3 bathrooms and its only 12 oclock :rolleyes:

WMM H had the same the other day. The end looked quite red and sore. It went away after a few hours so I think it might have been from his nappy. Maybe just keep an eye on it and if it doesn't go, take him to the dr?
Ugh H is the same today ferrals, only it's been going since midnight. We finally got some decent sleep between 8 and 11:30, then he's been crying again since. I popped him down in bed 10mins ago to go to the toilet and he drifted off to sleep without a peep!
I can't quite figure out if he has a tummy ache or if he's actually teething. He was chewing on my shoulder before while I was burping him, but I'm just not sure if what I'm feeling in his mouth are teeth or not. Do their gums usually feel hard and bumpy or only when there are teeth coming!?!
Hayden is making lots of new noises. He holds his head up and hasn't wobbled for a few weeks now. He bats and holds the danglies on the play mat. He also prefers sitting up now and jumps around on my knee lol. He has just hit 8kgs! Things are going well here (apart from last night lol). We're in a good little routine. I've been going out a lot more with my mother's group women. I've even been sewing and baking again, the washing and ironing is done and dinner is made every night! I feel like I'm finally settling in to this mummy thing!
Hope everyone else is good! I'll try to get on more now that things are setting in.

I am the same i cant figure out what is going on with ella she hasnt been sleeping properly for a few days the nights are ok she dosnt play up just wakes every 2 or so hours i just roll her over and she goes back to sleep but i dont know why she is waking so much we had one really good night a few nights ago she slept right through but since then OMG!.
She is happy otherwise but i can see how tired she is and when she wants to sleep is fighting it and then once she goes off she is awake 30 minutes later so frustrating.
I think ella would be about 7+ kilos now she is a porka.
Well its 3:15 and Ella has only had 1 hours sleep since 10am and another 20min catnap she is sooooooooooo tired and brought up most of her last bottle so i am wondering if maybe she has a crook belly she also had really watery poo yesterday so maybe thats it.
I want my good sleeper back please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeh!!!!!!! she put herself to sleep no crying no fuss thank god i put her down turned on her musical mobile and she laid there watched it for a while then went to sleep:dance:
Mum was told as my feet grew, the nails would correct themselves... 25 years later and they still haven't :rofl: They've never bothered me (it's the same toe on each foot) so no-one saw a reason to fix them :dunno: Two less nails I have to cut, I suppose :lol::

BF mummies, have any of you had a drop in supply? Wyatt has been so fussy on the boob I decided to express and see how much was there. Not a drop from the left and about 3mls from the right. Then an hour and a litre of water later not a drop from the left and about 20mls from the right :( :( :(
I gave him that plus what I had in the freezer and he sucked it down so fast! Now I'm out :(
I'm so upset. Gonna keep expressing plus feeding till it's back up. Just hope he doesn't go too hungry in the process!
WMM: Im pretty sure I had a drop in supply one time for a couple of days around one of his growth spurts, and then a few days later they were full of milk again just more of it. When they start drinking more to compensate for their growth spurt they drain you dry but then ur supply builds because your body knows they need more. Thats what I think anyway, could be wrong :) Soldier on with BFing, the more he sucks on the boobie the more your body will know to produce more.
meanwhile for the 2nd night in a row I fed Chase then just put him in his bassinet and walked away because i want him to start being able to sleep without me holding him. And success on night two. He lies there not exactly crying, just doing his fake cries of displeasure and after about 10 mins he is out for the count :) Good boy!
Yup jak what kitty said. I notice when c has a,growth spurt she literally sucks them dry, but within a day or so supply picks up, and then some :) but like kitty said supply on demand he will tell your body what he needs. It's hard to have faith in your boobs when they're fussy and don't seem satisfied.

well ill be *! i officialy gave up bf, 2-3 days later, my bb's are full n killing me!had our first night no formula, just taking it slow, seeing how it gose for now realy dont want to get my hopes up, but man i wish my damn boobs would sort out what the frig there doing!! there was absolutly nothing there the other day, compleate pancakes and not a drop... not getting my hopes up tho.
have to take the kids to the doc today, FX we can get in, bub is all gunky and weezy, and trent woke up freaking out with a popping in his ears.
oh, GO BLUES!! we finaly got one!
Eden has croup. Thankfully not whooping cough- which is what the paranoid part of me thought. Still, croup is bad enough.
I'm on my phone so i have no idea who said what, but whoever was bored cleaning their house, wanna do mine ? :p even with just Eden at home the place is a pigsty. Jensen and dh are useless, especially dh. I'm trying to get him to see that J learns by example, but it's not working. Dh learnt by FIL example :wall: two bad role models on the housework front.
Hopefully I'll get everything I have left to do done today. It's hard though as I've got a bad wrist (de quervein tenosynovitis) and although I can move it (not I'll range of movement though), it's painful.
Oh, anyone going to the Pregnancy, Baby & Children's expo next week? It's a Friday, Saturday, Sunday. I'm heading in (bravely) on the Friday with both kids...
Are any other babies when lying back in your arms trying to sit up? Eden goes from lying right back to sitting upright.
Sarah-popping in the ear is fluid and popping is a good sign it is trying to drain away my 18 year old has had ear problems his whole life 7 surgeries all because the fluid would not drain from his ears and rotted away his ear drums he had to have 2 total ear reconstructions when he was 15 and 17 anyway when he gets colds his ears fill up and his specialist said popping is a good sign and it can take up to 6 weeks to drain.

Kitty-way to go hope it continues Ella has been really good self settling until the last few days but last night she was back to her old self.
AFM-Ella went to bed at 7 no fuss and had a good night so i dont know what the last few days was about maybe she just wasnt well.
Nope Ella is a lazy bubby lol but she is grabbing her toys on her mobile really co- ordinated now and hanging on to them
I will be scone. I have a few free tickets too. Think I will drive in even though parking is a killer. I want to go friday but J has his needles at 330.

Boo to croup scone :( we are going to the EXPO, not sure when though as I'm not going without DH to help me! Can imagine it will be a nightmare with the number of people + prams in there! Our double pram is huge so we might take one single one each. Or c in hug a bub and ella in her mini wheelchair. Decisions lol.

Sarah sorry no info on what your boobs are doing lol. My friend recently stopped bfing at 1 week and it took a while for it to dry up even though she had basically no supply when feeding and couldn't express anything out....hope your kids are better soon.
So I am super ****ed at 2 of my friends and don't know whether to say anything, tell me if you guys would or what you would say. Friends round for dinner last sat night, bought son who was barking like a dog. Coughing til he spewed a couple of times green runny nose, on ab's, just really unwell poor guy. I have a policy where ppl aren't allowed to bring kids to my house if anything worse than a cold, and I don't go to thiers. We have been friends with them for about 8 years and they know all the ins and outs of ella and were with us all the times we almost lost her. Anything that goes to her chest could potentially kill her, and at the very least put her in hossy on o2. Plus the fact we also have a little baby in the house!! Ella is sick now, has been since Tuesday and if she gets any worse we are off to hospital. I'm so f*cling mad and upset they don't care enough about us to keep him away. Dunno if I'm over reacting
EM: :o i would be more than ****ed! deffinatly say something. you could let it slide IF they didnt know your history and IF it wasnt so seriouse, but WTF? if i was them i would have cancelled and made a day when he was well and not sick. i cant stand people like that. i cancelled on a friend of mine last week as the kids wernt 100%, made a playdate this week for the kids if mine were better, and now im the worst friend as i dont want her kids to get what mine have and cancelled again. apparently catching up as often as possible befor i move (in 3 months) is more important than the kids health. some people have no freakin idea!

got a appointment for 10, mums coming to drive us up as its to icey out to take them on the bus. it took me half hour to un stick krystals eyes, poor thing all puffy and grouchy.

I know right?! Especially since last state of origin they were coming over and I rang them to say ella and I were sick and did they still want to come!!
I would say something your daughters health and that of bub is to important i have no hesitation in saying to anyone with a cough that they cant come near Ella until she is fully immunised and with your ella being so fragile i would be furious.
Anyway ladies i am stepping away from the computer for a while i am on it way to much and need to shift this 4 kilos before i go back to work so i want to use my spare time to budge the bulge i wont be gone fore ever just a while to get myself back into my work life routine i have been away from work for 5 months and need to get myself organised again.
OMG that time has flown! Good luck shifting the weight. I've started packing it back on. I'm always hungry!!!
I started packing on the weight again too. Apparently the mini pill makes you hungry so you have a good chance of gaining weight which I did. I'm pretty much the exact weight I was when I got pg. At least im not fatter than I was.

Sarah - I haven't expressed for 3 weeks now (my supply was dropping anyway when I stopped), and I still get days where my bb's get full and sore :( I can still hand express in the shower and have it squirt out onto the shower curtain lol
WMM - When I was still expressing I'd have days where I hardly got anything, but I stuck with the expressing and it would soon pick up again to close to what it was before.
Ellasmummy - I'd personally have a talk to them about it (or rather I'd end up getting hubby to lol) when you've got a young baby and little girl who could get really sick it's just not on!
afm - feeling in a better place now, spent most of this week making jewellery which as helped me refocus... though now I'm all clucky again (doesn't help that 3 people on my FB friends list gave birth today lol 3 gorgeous bubba's get share the same birthday :) )
I put on 1.1kg this past week lol there goes last weeks weightloss :P Oh well, I'm getting back on the bandwagon again this week, eating healthy and NO chocolate lol
Other than that I'm feeling exhausted and gassy... pretty much feel pregnant even though I'm not now... though I'm going to take a test on wednesday anyway just to make sure. It's unlikely I would be though after all that bleeding.
Elise has finally discovered that she can laugh, and OMG it's the best thing I've heard in a long time lol she thinks having her legs lifted up over her face is funny for some reason lol makes it difficult to change a pooey nappy when she's giggling her little head off lol
She still loves standing up too, and even showed a big interest in DS's sandwhich today, just wouldn't stop staring at it and when he dropped it on the floor she turned her head to look a it. Unlike DS at this age she's still not ready for solids, I can tell. She's not drinking enough formula for that yet.
Anyway, I must go, hope you're all going well and that you all have a good night.

ugh, doctors suck! apparently there is no need to worry about the kids being sick, the cough is not as flemmy as it sounds, the girls must have blocked tear ducts, apparently its normal round there age, NO its not normal to spend half hour each morning trying to un gunk your kids puffy eyes so they can see! the popping in trents ears could be the start of a ear infection, i have a script to fill IF it gets worse. pluss he has a lump just behind his jawbone that feels like the ball in a mouse moving about, yet its nothing to worry about??:o why did my doc have to go on hollidays? gah!!

E has been feeding heaps this last week, bb's always ful but tonight I swear she drained them! Wouldn't sleep til Kate then I disturbed her tucking her in just now (dh just put her in the bassinet and half-ar$Ed pulled her blanket up). Dream feed over, I'm going to sleep before it all starts again tomorrow. I swear there's no point cleaning my house!
