Wow! H man says dad and bub but to lazy to crawl! Just wants to sit and stand!
With the talking thing, is it intentional words or sounds?
If it's sounds, Aurora says mum, dad and bub, but not specifically to us, its more baby babble... although if she is hungry she tends to say mum mum mum a lot...
No where near crawling here, not even on knees yet, but we have floorboards, so it's harder to learn on them as getting knees up is difficult as they slip...

Same. As much as I'd love to count them as real, intentional words and say "oh my baby's a genius!", I know she's only seven months and won't say things intentionally until around a year old like regular bubs. She has been very chatty today though, lots of what I'm sure are enthralling stories :rofl::
'regular bubs'? What exactly is that? I have alot of experience with friends babies and I've never come across a standard age for any milestone.
Wyatt says mum. Very intentionally infact. He also says dada, funnily enough only when DH is home at the weekend from working away.
He babbles bub, no quite so word like, alotho once he reached out for the cat and clearly said bub, I call the cat bubba but still I'll accept that as a coincidence. Lol
Hello everyone. We are doing ok. Not sleeping much still. Very busy with bub and sewing etc etc. Had our first swimming lesson, wyatt loves the water.
So along with all the fabulous pregnancy and post birth conditions I got I now have a permanent condition, hypothyroidism. Joy for me. Hormone replacement medication for me now every day forever. Fx it doesn't take to long to get the dose right and I get some engery back. I have BT's every 6 weeks to monitor it.

H man says dad very intentionally too... I think Bella was saying intentional words long before 1! Maybe I just have genius kids lol!
Genius kid here too. He only says when DH is home.

Sorry, didn't mean to be condescending :lol: I just read back my post, I must've been tired and grumpy. I just meant that the average age is around a year old for "intentional" words (or so I read when I looked it up the other day) :) Can't have an average without some early starters as well as late ones! Amelia talks more when Scott's home too, because she's happy to see him. But no "dad", his word is more of a "ninnnnnn-eh!" :p I get "mooooum" or "mimmy" which I suppose is close to "mum" and "mummy", hey?

When she wants me / can't find or see me, I hear mmmm-mmaa or mummmah. She presses her lips together and makes sounds. Last night she looked directly at dh and said da-da. she babbles in between these 'words' so I don't think they're intentional. However, when she's at the gym creche, apparently all she says is mmm-mmaa !
Had her first swim in a pool yesterday! Will do it again today!
Any other bubs get hysterical when you walk away/leave the room, even when they're with someone they really know (eg: in dad's arms)? It's getting a little hard to do anything...
