Buffster, dang hun, what alittle turkey burger! maybe its a growth spurt? FX for some good sleeps today.
Elcin, scuse my vagueness but whats block feeding? lol 4 kids you'd think id know what that meant but nope!

AFM, seems my muffet has a semi routine going on, still doing well with her morning sleep, excpet for yesterday where a suprise poopie got us up a bit earlier than normal, but she had a play and went back down until 230 which was great! we do the school run then come home and have some play time, then sometimes she will nap, most of the time its just cluster feeding wanting to be hled though, which makes it hard to get tea on!
OMG yesterday, i actualy got her down about 415 thought sweeeeeeeeet me time, NOPE doosh face DF comes out of room and goes im sorry i didnt know A was in there, at first i was like wtf? then i heard her cry, i could have KILLED him!!!!!!

Putting DD2 into care one day a week, i cant handle her endless tanties, she's so difficult atm

Skybie, block feeding is where you feed of one boob for 3-4 hour blocks so babe gets the fatty hind milk... Apparently it keeps them full for longer and they have to work for it, which tires them out.

I literally started doing it again on about Tuesday and have had 2 really good nights - 9pm-6.30am with one wake up.

Oh my DH has done that... Walked in to the bedroom and turned the light on, cue crying baby! Come on dude, you just saw me put him down!! Not cool...

How will dd2 go in care?

Little man is discovering his hands, face and voice... It hilarious. He sucks in his hand and raises his eyebrows as if to say 'there's nothing coming out!'. He furrows his brow, gets a really cranky look on his face and goes cranky on his hands after a while. He reacts to our voices and very much enjoys studying our faces while chatting away. He is such a cool little dude, very relaxed and laid back.

Sorry I've been MIA for awhile... Things have been super busy here the last week and while I've been reading I just haven't had a chance to do a proper post.

We had a very busy weekend which was great. It was one of my good friends birthday on Saturday so Coops and i went over to help her celebrate. It was lovely to have a couple of drinks and a bit of girlie chat and the little man was very well behaved so I had a really nice relaxed day. Then on Sunday we went to a Christening. Again, Cooper was a little angel, slept peacefully in his capsule all afternoon, despite the racket going on around him. But then while I was feeding him at 4am on Monday I started to feel queazy. Over the next couple of hours I got really, really sick with what I think must have been food poisoning. It was awful. DH stayed home from work for the morning to look after the boys because there was no way that I could've. Then Tuesday I took Coop's for his immunisations. It was awful seeing him so upset :). He's been pretty good since, a little unsettled and a bit grumpy, but hasn't gotten too sick which is good. In fact last night he went 6.5 hours between feeds :dance: I know you ladies can appreciate how wonderful that was.

Littlest man has just woken up, so gotta run... Sorry for lack of persies, will be back soon xo

re prams when i had ds1 and ds2 18months apart i bought the phil & Teds, i liked that you could have it set for a baby & toddler and then 2 toddlers. I have in the past had some problems with flat tyres and i hope im not jinxing myself now cause i havent had one since pulling it back out to use for Ryker.

Miss E- crap that you were sick too, i currently know how much that sucks. what do you think it was that you ate?
speaking of christenings we have booked Rykers for 24th June. i want him to wear the same outfit the big boys did and for him to fit in it i thought we needed to do it sooner rather than later! Nix was 6months old in it, then Tyron was 4 months old in it, Ryker will be 3 months :)
so the tonsilitis i think is getting better, the disgusting puss is still quite visable on my tonsils but i dont have the temperatures and achying ness anymore. dh has done the school drop off each morning this week which has been good, i still didnt stay in my pj's today but was nice to not have to get out of the house early whilst sick and i was actually still in them until 10am!

buff- man whats miss W doing to you, lol at rosey's comment yep keep tabs now so in 18yrs time you can get her back when she gets home late and tries to stay in bed hehe. have you heard of the dunstan baby language?? google it... i had to re google this time to re remember what the different sounds mean but i definatly think it has some truth behind it. she basically says you can tell what baby wants/needs as per the sound of their cry
eg: "nah" sounding cry is when they are hungry
'owh' sound is tiredness, "eh and Eairh" sounds are for burps and wind
anyway worth taking a look at i say and it may help to eliminate factors if she is crying for one particular reason or another
i find the "nah" sound easiest to hear it has a pretty clear Nnnn to it

I thought I was going to get to actually do a proper post tonight because hubby has just taken Arlia, but she's started crying and he's not the best at settling. She's gone quiet at the moment, but I give it 2 minutes at most, lol.

We're doing quite well though. Arlia is still being quite a dream baby like her sister always was, so in that regards things are great. The hardest part is time management with three so young. I feel guilty that I don't have as much time to dedicate to activities with the other two like I used to. Plus my just-turned-three year old is a bit of a handful at the moment with his tanties and he gets a bit rough with his sisters (I even have to protect the girls from his over-enthusiastic kisses at times!). It's all age appropriate behaviour, but it's still tough. Gosh I love them all so much though. Shayla was snuggling herself on my lap yesterday evening and looking up at me with her big gorgeous eyes and giving me a cheeky grin and I nearly bust into tears! These kidlets often make my heart hurt I love them so much! ♥

Anyone got any recommendations for a double pram good for walking?

Have a look at the Baby Jogger City Select pram. We bought one after a lot of research and because I know three people that had it already and raved about it. It's probably my best big ticket buy for the kids, we love it! The seats can go on in a bunch of different configurations and it's a million times easier to manoeuvre than the original standard tandem pram we bought that I only ever used a handful of times because it was so difficult to use. I use the City Select ALL the time. I go walking with the kids a few times a week with the bigger two in the pram and Arlia in the hugabub. THe hardest thing about it is that with two kids the weight you are pushing tends to try to pull the pram sideways if the footpath is not flat, so if the footpath is higher on the house side than the road side the pram will pull a bit to the road side when you are pushing it. I happens in all the tandems though and much less in this one than the other one we had. You can lesson that effect if you put the heavier child in the seat closest to the handle.


Hubby is now focused on the football show and just holding a crying bub, so I better so save her. Lol.

Fuzzy, awesome catch up post! Love the pics of your girls, they're super cute. Any more power spews today or has it settled down? W gets all hot and sweaty in both the Hugabub and Ergo too, I have to under-dress her when using them. Have fun at boxing, I've always wanted to try it. Would be an awesome stress reliever.

Miss E, how's your Mini Cooper today? Have you recovered from that horrid bout of food poisoning?

Nickers, how about you lovely? Are the ABs starting to kick in and get rid of the tonsillitis? What's happening with Mr R?

Skye, nice one on the routine. I would have been annoyed at my man waking bubs too! Good luck at the doc today, am sure A's eyes are fine hon but definitely reassuring to get them checked out.

Elocin, sounds like Mr C is in love with his digits! So much to see and chew! Thanks for the tip on block feeding, W usually wants both sides but I started offering the one she finished on at the last feed and that seems to be filling her up better. She's a really fast eater though, no more 30-minute snuggle sessions anymore :( when she's had enough she pushes boob away! She's turning into quite the nosy parker too, looking around is much more fun than chow. I often have to cover her eyes to get her to concentrate.

Mylitta, so glad Aria is doing well - and that her brother is enamoured! Sounds like you're enjoying your brood. It must be hard not being able to spend as much time with the older two but I'm sure you balance it beautifully and they all feel loved. Good tip on the BJ City Select, my friend has one and we've got the City Mini which is fantastic.

AFM: thanks for the sympathy all, my little turkey burger (LOL Skye!) had a much better night - 2.5-3.5 hour stints, I got 5.5 hours! Did call DH in frustration in the late arvo and asked him to hurry up and get home, bit pointless as he got stuck in the carpark behind an accident for an hour. Thankfully got W down and had a calming cup of tea :) She was full of beans as usual this morning and is having a little kip in my arms.

Caught up with my Dad and a family friend yesterday, which was nice as I hadn't seen either of them for ages. The friend bought W a sweet silver bracelet with her name and DOB engraved on it, like the one I had as a baby.

What's everyone up to on the weekend? Cruddy weather here and am craving cuddle time on the couch with DH and bubsicle but alas, not to be. Visiting a buddy this morning, Dad over later, nephew's 3rd birthday party tomorrow, coffee with a pal and then markets on Sunday.

Forgot to mention, we're going to a sleep school next week (QE11) for five days, Wed-Sun. Am looking forward to it so we can sort things out and get into a better routine. Turns out my mum went there with me too, so it must be something in the genes :)

Skybie - Hope everything goes ok at the doctors today. Yay for a semi routine! We are lucky to not have school drop off or anything in the mornings because we all sleep in, night owls in this house. I would've been so cranky about DF waking the baby too! How old is your DD2? I'm finding that babies are so much easier to manage than toddlers.

Elocin - It's awesome watching them discover the world, isn't it? I reckon DD spent 15mins the other day just opening and closing her fist. She was so fascinated by it :) I think it' around 3-4 months that they start reaching and being able to properly grasp things. The look when they shake a rattle and realise that they are making the noise is priceless.

Miss E - Sounds like a great weekend, shame about the food poisoning at the end of it though. 6.5hrs is a great stretch, fingers crossed he keeps it up

Nickers - That's really nice that all of your boys have worn the same christening outfit. We aren't getting our kids baptised. We're both not very religious but come from different religions so the girls can choose when they get older if they want to get done. I'm glad that you're starting to feel better, hopefully it doesn't hang around for too long.

I went to check out a phil and teds pram the other day and I felt like my legs were going to keep hitting the bottom seat. Not sure if it's a double pram thing or just that particular pram. Going to have a look at a baby shop this weekend. We live in the middle of nowhere so this will be my last chance for a while to check them out in person. Although I have a friend with a strider plus and another who I think has the BJ city select that I could try out too.

Mylitta - Don't feel bad about the older kids not getting as much attention, it's not a bad thing them having to learn to share you although it can be difficult at times. I think all of us with more than 1 are experiencing the same thing. I too have heard alot of people raving about the BJ city select, definitely going to check it out.

Buffy - Yay for sleep! Sleep school sounds like it will be a good thing for you both to get a bit more structure :hug: A bracelet is a lovely gift. My parents gave DD1 one when she was born but we haven't gotten it engraved because her name won't fit on it. Might end up just putting her initials on it. No more power spews thank goodness and she seems to be much more settle today.

We're heading away for the weekend this arvo for my sister's wedding. Speaking of which I have to finish packing our stuff and getting ready to go. Hope everyone else has a great weekend :)

For the second night in a row, Yves has slept solidly from 11pm - 7am, when he has been fed EBM by his Dad, then changed and delivered back to his bassinet beside my bed as DF left for work at 8am. To top it off, this morning he must have resettled himself, because not a peep out of him, and I have just woken up to the sound of rain on the roof, Tobi softly snoring on his doggy bed, and my babe still peacefully sleeping...and its well after 10!

Ok, fire away, but please aim low :lol:

Skye is it today that you are getting A's eyes checked? I am sure it will all be fine, but thinking of you and hope it is merely a matter of time before she is watching your face like a chubby little hawk.

A pretty good night here... He slept from 9pm-5am only waking for about half an hour at 1.30am. I fed him at 5 and put him back in bed with DH while I showered and ate breakfast.

C man just woke up from an hours nap in his bassinet which mean I could pack and get some ironing done. He's now falling asleep again on the boob.

Dsd1 has her formal tonight so we are heading to DH ex's this afternoon to see her dressed up. Dsd was telling me that all of her friends want to hold Connor but are too scared he will vommy on their pretty dresses :rofl:

So the DR isnt too concerned atm, she was looking at him and smiling little wench! he thinks because she was 3 weeks early (potentially 4 in dr world) that she's just as good as 8-9 weeker and probably just needs time to catch up, apparently she may be a bit behind with things for her age until 18 months (rolling crawling ect) and to just keep trying to engage her like we have been.
If no improvement by our 4 month mchn app then back to the docs for a referal to an opthomologist to make sure the structures in her eyes are ok, but like i said he's not concerned at the moment :) happy days

Mylitta sounds like your family is doing well, its hard with the big siblings sometimes, they rarely have bad intentions but you do have to protect the little ones. DD fell over yesterday and managed to get H arm, seems fine now but I had them both crying at the same time

AFM save some rotten fruit as Helena has now slept through 3 nights this week :hide: DH seems excited. It seems if I can get her down for her big morning nap before 10.30 it sets up the rest of the day and she then sleeps through at night. I wish I could get her down for a decent arvo nap but because of school pick up it just isnt happening, the n again maybe I should'nt mess with her current routine as it seems to be working

Dh had yesterday off for an appointment so I was able to go shopping child free in the arvo. I was waiting for H to wake so I could feed her before I left and she kept sleeping, I ended up pumping and she took 70ml of the 150ml of EBM I left happily. I nomrally dont mind taking H shopping with me but it was freezing and wet yesterday so I was glad she didnt have to go out in the cold. Had the Il's over last night for MIl birthday and it was great I didnt have to cook DH did the bbq and BIL made a potato bake and cauli and brocoli in a cheese sauce. H did do a huge number 3 in her swing as we were finishing dinner that required a bath!

I weighed H today and she is 5.47kg and 60cm long. H still has a runny nose Im hoping she's almost over it as the rest of us had it about a week. Have to take dd1 to a school friends fairy party at 5pm tonight, wish we could come home and veg out but not going to happen. Think we might take dd2 to Maccas for a play and dinner as its the first party they are not both invited to, she seems okay with it so far though, then having a girls night in at our place saturday night will the boys head out. Swimming sunday and thats about enough I think :)

Sarah, so not talking to you right now!!! though i should whinge, A went down at 11 last night and slept in her bassinet till 3:15, was loverly. Although, the nights she goes down in her bassinet no worries i miss her and want to cuddle her and the nights she comes to bed with me i want nothing more than my own space, go figure!

My nipski's are itchy and a bit tender, think we might be getting thrush again :(

i am feeling semi normal today thank goodness. my mum came over with her friend and my bestie (her mum is my mums friend)
yesterday sucked doing pick up in the rain (first time ive had to since R was born) to preschool first and left R in the capsule, carrying him in it plus umbrella, opening gates etc not to easy! He got cranky by the time we got to school so i decided to carry him, put a blanket over him, then holding umbrella. Then when i get to school there was a note to say the fundraiser cookie dough was ready to be picked up (which i wouldnt have bothered to get on such a day exept some was for my family and i knew mum was coming over today. so i had 2 x 1.3kg cooke tubs around the same arm as i had a 5+kg baby & umbrella, another 2 x 1.3kg tubs in the other hand, whilst directing ds1 and ds2 back to the car who were also carrying umbrellas bags and a tub each lol!!
this baby has a radar on me today seriously he wont let me put him down!! but generally night times are good, last feed is around 8pm then goes to 2-3am, then back down to between 6-7am. it would be lovely to get that last feed a bit later and he slept right through but it doesnt seem to matter what time that feed is 8-9 or 930pm he still wakes the same time to feed.

Ooohh I so wanna write back to everyone but its impossible on my phone.

Hi everyone else I'm sorry that I can't do a proper reply.

I've been feeling better, mum toke time off work & spent thurs & fri with me. It helped to have the company. Im just going to monitor myself & if tears & yuky thoughts take over ill go to a new doc. DD's sleep is shocking..managing 5hrs on average. Might give co- sleeping a go - scares of that. Her new thing is fingers and hands in her mouth. Sometimes she makes herself dry reach lol.

Ps- am I the only one that still hasn't DTD?? I really need to but gosh I'm too tired to and honestly don't feel like it.

Rosey, so glad you're feeling better and that you had some quality time with your mama. Company definitely helps. See how you go, make sure you see a new doc if you need to. And no, you're not the only one re DTD. We attempted Friday but it was a little unsuccessful!

Hope everyone had a fab weekend. Shocking day with W yesterday, a couple of tiny naps like naughty Mr R. She was super grumpy but finally crashed at 7:00 and slept til 12:30, then for another three hours. OMG, best sleep I've had since she was born - but hated seeing her so tired, I don't think it was worth it! Great day today, only a little bit of resistance and she's a much happier little lady.

Had the best online retail therapy tonight, totally stocked the winter wardrobe. Can't wait for it all to arrive, woo!

ohhh buffy what stuff did you buy?? cheeky Willow, its so draining but glad she had some big sleeps after the mamoth effort, Ryker has settled back down again thank goodness. Now dh is sick with either tonsilitis or super dooper man flu! nah he has been sick this time, just like how i was achey all over, freezing to the bone but burning up, only he doesnt have tonsils. so ive pretty much done everything for the kids on my own this weekend.

rosey - not the only ones who havent dtd, we still havent... with all our sickness, recovering from c/s and total lack of energy i havent actually wanted to....but it worries me we could go so long without it, the big boys are having a sleep overs in a few weeks at my sisters so maybe when we only have R and less attention demanded from us we can have some nice together time....

Glad R is behaving again for you hon. Not the dreaded man flu! Has made an appearance here as well - DH lying on the couch next to me. How are you feeling? Did the ABs finally do their thing?

I bought heaps *red face* skinny jeans, pants, cardi, skirt and blouse from ASOS, six winter tops from Next and two pairs of ballet flats from Shoebox. I hardly ever clothes shop - DH and I usually do a big one twice a year. Hope I fit into everything!

Another splendid night here, W went down from 6-10:30pm, everyone in bed by 11:30, DH gave her a bottle at 3:00am and we had the first feed of the day at 6:00! Still in shock!

Rosey – Great to hear your mum came for a bit of company – It’s so nice to have adult conversation to break up the goo-goo talk! Like you we also still in the middle of a looonnnng dry patch here (i.e no wet patches :rofl:). I keep telling myself to give it a go, but really have no urge. Our poor partners – imagine the whinge they would all have about us if they got together! Sideways topic – have been meaning to ask you about your furbabies… what kind do you have? Also, are you in Melbourne? I have the most fantastic GP in Moonee Ponds, is that anywhere near you? She is incredibly down-to-earth and easy to talk to, I really enjoy seeing her each time. I hope you find a doc that will treat your concerns seriously, but even more than that I hope you start to feel brighter and that each day (and night!) gets easier for you and your wee girl x

Elocin – hope you have had a fab time visiting your friend and have had lots of newborn squishes. Connor has got a few little girlfriends huh?! How did he sleep away from home? Hope to see some more pics soon.

Buffy – get your shop on! You are lucky to be able to buy on-line, everything must have gone back into shape already for you? Great that Willow seems to be settling into some sleep times for you too, it sounds like you have a bit of spring back in your step – game on, lovely lady! Poor DH - hope he gets over his man flu pronto, he sounds like such a supportive dad.

Skye – Hope the thrush isn’t giving you too much grief. Does A have it also? Love the pics of the party dresses btw. All your girls are so sweet and have some gorgeous little outfits, they make me look forward to a little princess of our own one day – which is weird cos I am normally more of a tomboy fan!

Nickers – hope you are feeling much better hun. Poor DH – the lurgee is really doing the rounds at your place. Hi to everyone else – sorry to cut this short but the little man is having a wee nap in his bouncer so I better seize this opportunity for a shower while I can. We are off to MCHN this afternoon for our 8 week visit. The main news here is that Yves has slept through for the past 5 nights, from 11pm -7am, and on the weekend he went til 11-9am both days!!! He tends to stir at about 3am, but settles himself back to sleep without waking fully. I hope it’s ok for him to be that sleepy?! He is very alert during the day, and is doing the 8 week wonder week stuff, like sucking his hands, obsessed with lights etc. Not too much crying though… except when I pull my boobs out and try and feed him. Seriously, you would think I was strangling him, not trying to nourish him. It’s very upsetting. I am just trying to express as much as possible so I have EBM to top him up with, but unfortunately I just can’t keep up and formula has to be busted out 2-3 times a day. It sucks, but we can only keep trying and hope that the pumping stimulates my supply enough to keep him happy, or that he gets less fussy and actually attacks my boobs like he ought to.

DS1 had a super 3 day birthday - one day at daycare, one day with us and one day with our family!! He was spoiled rotten, big time.

DH is getting sick which is almost unheard of, and it's crappolla as I've not recovered yet ... but we'll get there!

DS2 is feeding wonderfully ... MHCN was happy and all that. But DH has looked at the percentile charts, and now I'm not sure what's going on ... he was born on 7 March, and according to the MCHN today, he was 5.58kg, 60.2cms, and HC was 41cms.

DH says the percentiles for those is 10th pc for weight (!!), 25th pc for height, and 75th pc for HC.

I find this very surprising, because he's a long and lean baby, but feeds very well ...

I have been told before that the percentiles are based on formula fed babies and so bf babies tend to be lighter - but 90pc lighter?? DS2 was a huge baby - over 4.5kg (9 pound 9.5 oz) and so surely he shouldn't be down to 10th pc??

And he's long - he's stretched all of the 000s his big brother had already stretched ... he's going to have to go into 00s any day now ... so what's with the 25th pc bizzo?

And in any event, he's long proportionally - his head looks a bit little in fact ... so I'm surprised that his head is bigger than average, when the rest of him is apparently smaller than everage?

Last night he slept well though - fed at 8pm, then I pumped at 10.30pm, and DH got up at 4am for a feed, and I pumped again at 5.30am before leaving for work. And I'm pumping now (quickly, as I have to get to a meeting!!)

Just a bit perplexed/upset by the percentiles ... is he not getting enough? We have 6-12 wet nappies a day, so I can't believe he's not getting enough ... and most feeds he has betwen 140 and 200ml of EBM, or a long and lovely bf.

Peanutter - dont know if this will make you feel better but my DD was born same day as your DS (weighing 3.8kilos) and last Friday she weighed 5.6kilos - so pretty much same weight. I don't know her length or head circumference now though. She is a long Vegemite too :) . Can you believe they are 3 months old Wednesday?! Man the flu season is really in full swing isn't it! :(

Lct - Bahaha you cracked me up... Wet Patch!!! My two fur babies are poodle x king Charles cavalier & ****er spaniel. Poor buggers have been missing out lately, don't have the time to play as much or cuddle as we use too :( ... They still sleep on the bed though. Do you have any furbabies? I'm actually in QLD, thank you though. Your Doc sounds awesome.

Nickers - I hope you and your DH get some nice time alone together soon. Are you feeling all back to normal after c-sect? I feel pretty much back to normal... Though I do keep getting a few lumps pop up along the scar... Thinking ingrown hair.

I went shopping this morning & got our little cherub an activity mat, with the danglies & music. Can't wait for her to see it as she really responds to toys now :)

Ps I'd kill to go the movies and see 'Magic Mike' when it comes out.... Mmmm Channing Tatum stripping lol.

We haven't either yet, but it's mostly from lack of opportunity. We are finding it very difficult to get a chance to even try. DD2 cosleeps with us, so at night she is in our room asleep, playing with us in the lounge, or napping on us in the lounge. We also have my two DSS's that live here (they are 12 and 15) so they are here most nights which rules out having fun in the lounge room in case one of them gets up and comes into the lounge. A couple of times we've tried to put DD2 down on the couch to sleep on nights the bigger boys are not here so that we could use the bedroom, but so far she hasn't been cooperative. I remember reading somewhere that young babies know when you are about to DTD (pheromones or something) and a survival instinct kicks in and they cry. It's apparently to stop you from making another baby to compete with the existing baby, lol!

DH says the percentiles for those is 10th pc for weight (!!), 25th pc for height, and 75th pc for HC.

Do you have the newer green folder with the charts in it? Because if you do they now have the World Health Organisation percentile charts in it which are based on breastfed babies and not formula fed babies. Have a look at your chart and it should say the source at the bottom of the chart. When I plotted your son's weight and used 2.5 months as his age I get him closer to the 25th percentile. I wouldn't worry too much about the percentiles anyway. Remember that no baby is "off the chart" because the charts by definition of being a percentile chart means that every baby lies somewhere on the chart, and for every big baby there are also petite babies which determine where the "average" lies.


I got to have a little surprise sleep-in with Arlia this morning. Hubby organised, ran and hosted an international concert last night (Ryan Leslie) and was out all night. He ended up back at Ryan Leslie's hotel room and didn't get home until this morning when it was nearly time for the bigger boys to get ready for school. I heard Shayla crying just after 6.30am and got up to give her a cuddle and hubby was sitting at his computer! So he got the little kids breakfast and they went with him to do the school run while I dozed with Arlia. I didn't end up getting up until 10.30am! It was lovely. He's fast asleep now and Arlia went back to bed with him too :)

I have Arlia's 8 week MCHN appointment this afternoon and I'm looking forward to the weigh-in. I know I mentioned above not to worry about the percentiles, but I will admit that I do enjoy getting the weigh-in done. I want to compare her to Shayla at the same age, lol.

Last night Arlia was kind to me and actually slept from about 9.00-10.30pm so I was able to get a heap of work done. I have a new range of kiddie shoes that I am adding to my webpage so I had to get all the images ready for uploading. I got all 20 done, which doesn't sound like that much work, but I had to resize each to two different sizes and also edit quite a few of them. Now I just have to wait and see how long it takes to get time to upload the all to the website with prices and descriptions, haha.

peanutter, those percentiles sound off Helena is only 10 days younger and is the same length and about 110g lighter and is sitting around the 70th percentile for weight and 85th %tile for weight, I know male and female are slightle different but I would double check the percentiles. I put the details in for you on infantchart dot com and got very different results from your DH

Buffy how long until your shopping arrives, we just got our pumpkin patch parcel today :). Sleep school this wednesday is that right? Do you have to pack much to take with you or do the supply nappies etc?

Skye hope you managed to get on top of the thrush before it got too bad. How have your sugars been? I know with vaginal thrush high BSl's can make it flare up :(

AFM Helena slept through three nights in a row from 9pm to 5am, last night she woke up but I think it may have been becuase the house was so cold! We will see what tonight brings. H is starting to find her voice and trying to talk back to us she is making some interesting sounds now. Had a great night with friends Saturday although my bffwent home arly as her little man who is 6 months has gone from sleeping through to waking 12+ times a night in the lsat two weeks, hoping he gets over it soon as she is knackered. DD1 had a ball at her friends fairy party. It was well done, we sat outside and ate cheese and dip while the kids went in to the dance studio with a 'real fairy' and thhey played games, danced had something to eat then got to decorate a mask. They have a big TV so parents can watch the kids dance so we got to watch them during the party without them being self concious :). DD1 is already trying to plan her party but its not going to be a big one this year as we paid fpr a play cafe party for them last year

A big hello to everyone else :hello:

Weekend away was great! C was awesome in the car both ways... 2 stops for a feed and a bum change and he slept the rest of the way. Saturday we saw my bestie and her newbie (Connor'a girlfriend on FB) and oh my lord, she is heavenly. She has that pinky newborn skin and is so little... I can barely remember C being that little! On Sat night we had dinner with my other best friend from school who is due in Sept so Connor got doted on by his honorary aunties all weekend.

Mum and I shopped it up on Sunday... New clothes for the babe and for both of us. Was nice hanging out with her like we used to. Little dude slept in the Ergo the whole time so it was nice just to hang out with mum.

Connor is wasted from the trip and is passed out in my arms at the moment. Hopefully he will wake up again soon so I can push him to go to bed a bit later.

I'm shagged... Hopefully my boy is nice to his Mumma tonight!

Arlia's check up went well today. The nurse was really happy with everything and is still amazed that I'm still breastfeeding all three kids, lol. Here are Arlia's stats:

Age: 9 weeks today
Weight: 5.900kg (just under the 85th percentile)
Length: 57.5cm (just over the 50th percentile)
Head Circumference: 40.2cm (between 90th and 97th percentile) She's got a super brain growing in there ;)

Kyson has little school tomorrow so I'm going to try to take Shayla and Arlia to Rhyme Time at the library near the school :)

I rechecked the percentiles, and I make it as more like 75th for HC, 50th for length, and 25th for weight.

Not great, but not the end of the world.

He's loving the boobies, and is taking good sized feeds, so we'll just stick with it and see what happens ...

After all, if they're feeding well, sleeping well, engaging and happy and wetting and pooing what else can you think, but that they're fine?

Right?

I think I'm just tired and run down, and everything is seeming bigger than it really is.

Maybe I just need some ice cream or a glass of wine and an early night ...

nutter - right. babies are like adults - they come in shapes & sizes & to get the middle ground there are always going to be some big babies & some that are smaller. your ds2 sounds just perfect. i'd say still have the wine or (and) ice cream (maybe not together though) just, well, cos why not really :)

We're oging okish, miss has decided at night time she isnt to be left alone and simply MUST be held constantly or the screaming banshee kicks in. i can get to the point of sound asleep and put her down in her swing and bing the eyes are open again1!! gargh, ah well she'll grow out of it im sure.

DD2 had a fantabulous day at child care, she really suprised us and took to it like a fish to water, we thought there'd be hysterics but nope! and shes asking to go back, so i think its a winner!

Not sure if I should be worried but C has started only feeding for about 5 minutes total. Even at night when he usually feeds for half an hour each side before bed, he's barely feeding for 5 mins on one boob. He's not feeding more frequently so it's freaking me out a bit.

keep an eye on his poo's but babies do get more efficient at feeding as theyget older.

He's down to one poo a day from 2+. It's the same colour and consistency.

E, W barely feeds more than 10-15 mins (both sides) these days and is down to 1 poop a day too; still loads of wet naps. I reckon C is just a really efficient feeder, or perhaps not having a hungry day? I find we go through phases. I'm sure he's fine, he certainly looks gorgeous and is growing like a weed!

Sounds like you had an awesome weekend by the way, must have been wonderful to spend time with your buddy and her little one, as well as your mum.

AFM: another nap revolt yesterday, I blame DH for putting W under the mobile gym thingie for too long in the AM and missing her first sleep. She got so excited she wanted to be up all day, and had maybe an hour total until 8:30. OMG, the yelling! I've never seen a baby fight sleep so hard, seriously. I laid her belly-down in my lap at one point and she calmed immediately, but as soon as I covered her eyes she screamed! Little turkey.

Packing for sleep school, bring it on I say. My only concern is whether they'll want to try controlled comforting - though I think their policy on that is for over six months.

Hi Girls!

We are back from our weekend away. It was super busy but nice to get away and catch up with friends and family. The girls were great on the 3hr drive and were so cute in their dresses at the wedding. Although it was raining and about 10 degrees colder than I thought it would be so I was doing a mad dash before the wedding to buy tights and cardigans for us all a few hours before the wedding. Been busy today washing, unpacking and tidying up the house. DF put together the pram, we ended up with a strider plus. The baby shop didn't stock the baby jogger city select which I would've liked to check out, the joys of living in the middle of nowhere.

Took the girls to the doctor this arvo, anyone have any experience with fused labia? DD2 has it, the doctor doesn't seem too worried about it and is happy to let it resolve itself as long as it isn't causing any issues like UTIs. Got her weighed today too and she is 7.05kg which is off the chart, just like her big sister was.

Be back for personals later tonight, have to do some study so no doubt I will be doing some major procrastinating.

Fuzzy, glad to hear your weekend was a success! The amount of washing is quite amazing isn't it? It just never stops!

My angel has self-soothed - not a single seagull yell - for all sleeps since yesterday arvo. Yes, you read that right. It turns out that she just didn't want to be held - she wanted to be put down so she could go to sleep in peace Mum, for goodness sake stop bluddy cuddling me! A bit of fussing, patting and dummy and she's been out like a light. Some minor yelling this morning, let out a huge belch and went back to sleep. Honestly, I feel so stupid - like she's been trying to tell us what she wanted for weeks and I haven't been listening!

Also only one feed overnight, which Dad did. I got almost seven hours!!

Heading to 'school' shortly for more baby 101 but hoping we've started the breakthrough on sleep regardless.
