Peanutter hope DS1 is not to sick. Glad DS2 is puttign on someweight for you, as the MCHn said to me when I had H weighed, deosn't really matter where she is on the %tile as long as they stick closeish to that %tile and not fall off of it significantly

Buffy well done on the back carry I am too unco to try a wrap! Sounds like a wonder week to me too, H was like that the other week but has pretty much settled back into a routine now

Fuzzy the joys of threenagers! Even sick DD2 is giving me attitude during the day! How clever of M to roll, you did well to catch it on video, I never manage to get anything on video/photo! Still struggling to get a smile fro H on camera as she gets all serious when the camera comes out

AFM Man lu has spread and DD2 was up at 1 am crying pointing at her throat :( after some nurofen and a cuddle she perked up a bit and said sorry for waking me up, had to reassure her she can wake me up whenever she is sore/sick :(. I also have a cough and am achey, hopefully it doesnt lsat long. Mum is picking dd1 up from school for me so I dont have to take the littlies out in the cold. H woke up at 4 last night, almost killed me after getting up to dd1 first, don't think the disturbed nights sleep will help me fight this off

Giving H some nappy free time today and once again she peed on her blanket, everytime we give her nappy time she pees! What are everyone elses bubs doing poo wise? H seems to go 4 days without doing one ok and by day five has wind and pain, I feel so sorry for her, I've found putting her in her swing helps move things along but it is revolting when she goes, yellow/green sludge! Glad thats over for a few days now!

Hi to all the other lovely mummies and gorgeous bubs!

I suspect the concern has arisen because he was such a big baby at birth (9 pound 10!) but now is down to approx 10-20th pc ...

But I'm a lot calmer now - he eats well, his sleep is fine albeit irregular (but over any 24 hours, he gets plenty ITMS), he is engaged and happy and wets plenty and poos most days.

He cries a bit - but not excessively ... I just hate it when he cries, because he's my son!

He despises tummy time and screams blue murder when we put him down for tummy time - but that's nothing to do with whether he's underweight ...

Life goes on, right?

feeling blah and peeved off after a failed Mirena insertion today at my OB appt. My dumb cervix is too tighly shut with scar tissue so i went through all the yukkiness of it and nothing at the end.
im annoyed cause i told my ob several times my last ob with tyron beleived he would have to do it in theatre because of this exact reason but he didnt seem concerned. he never inspected me down there b4 cause i was always having a c/s and havent had a pap smear with him b4.
so if i decide to have it done under GA i cant drive for 24hrs so would need kids minded, help with school etc it seems like a whole lot of effort. but i dont like the sounds of the arm one, has anyone had it b4?
we didnt use anything after tyron as ive always known my cycle and just been carefull, so need to speak to dh when he gets home.
We have Rykers christening vthis sunday, looking forward to dressing the whole family up i got the big boys a nice vest and tie lol (although ds1 doesnt like the feel of a tie) i cant believe my little charmer will be 3 months old on Sunday. he has found his hands and loves starring at them & trying to eat them! and i think he is teething omg! rosey cheeks, dribbling, can see white on the bottom two and hes been a bit of a grumble bum. Ty was 4m when he cut his first tooth, slow down buddy.

Nickers, I had the implanon a few years ago and didn't find it that great... It was ok to begin with, but after awhile I ended up with pretty much permanent spotting. I ended up having it out after about a year. But everyone is different and responds differently so it could be perfectly fine for you. Good thing about it is that it is relatively easy to have put in and taken out.

Nickers, sorry the appointment didn't go well hon. Hope you find something that will work for you. R's christening will be lovely, you must be looking forward to it. Can't believe he might already be teething!

Peanutter, your DS sounds the picture of health. I hate the weight charts, all they do is stress you out. How was your day off?

Sararose, is the household any better? How are you feeling? Poor little H with the wind, it's so hard not being able to help them more. W is an every second day girl, and today was the day - see below...

Hi Miss E and everyone else.

So, so tired. W is feeding (well, snacking) every 2 hours again - my boobs are huge! - and longest stretch of sleep overnight is 2.5-3. Day naps are about 45 minutes on the dot. She's super happy but mama is exhausted. Trying to remind myself that it will pass. Have asked a question about it in the BF thread, but happy for some reassurance here too!!

We did have a nice bath together this morning after she did a #3 that went up the back, all over her legs and feet, clothes and linen. Jumped in the bath, got us both all clean and snuggie and settled her back down for another nap. Went into the other room and jumped at what I thought was a door slamming or car backfiring. It was neither - just my sweet angel doing another massive crap. DH didn't find it as funny as I did.

:hug: nickers ... no experience here, sorry! I've just stuck it out with the pill.

buffy: day off was lovely! DS1 had an absolute blast.

today however, my baby has a black eye! Well, a bruise under it, and two little cuts ... he was playing a game with DH, where he would launch himself against DH's back / side / front when DH least expected it, like it or not ... well, one of the launches was when DS1 was sitting on the couch next to DH while DH folded washing, and DS1 quickly stood up and launched! But he FLEW right over DH's lap, and landed face first onto a heavy plastic laundry basket! Ouchies :(

Sorry I haven't been around too much... have been dyyyyyying of this horrid cold that just won't leave. DH has been home from work all week as well, but looking at C you wouldn't even know he was unwell. He's full of snot and has a bit of a cough but is just so happy and loving life. We get smiles and giggles without really working for them now which is awesome. The only way I know he's unwell as he gets really quiet in the late afternoon / night time when it cools down. Not much chatting, just lots of staring. But he certainly makes up for that in the mornings - kid never shuts up!! He reached out and grabbed my necklace while feeding last night for the first time - not just throwing his hand up and randomly grabbing it.

Peanutter, glad to hear your day off we nice! Poor DS, I hope it heals quickly!!

Buffster, awesome news again on the back wrap success!! I'm glad W enjoyed it. Bummer on the #3... blergh. I told you - kids are GROSS!! :)

I hope little miss rediscovers her love her sleeping soon and you can get some rest x

How has W been since you cut out (down?) the chocolate? I'm finding I have been able to increase the amount of dairy I'm eating which is super exciting... hooray for chocolate and cheese and REAL butter!

Awww, Nic, you poor love. I hope you can come to a decision soon. I don't want to go back on the pill either as I was on it for so long.. I just want everything to go back to normal without the assistance of anything medical for once. How exciting that R's christening is so soon!! I can't wait to see pictures!

SaraRose, sounds like the cold weather is affecting your house as well... I hope everyone is feeling better soon. Poo's are similar here, every 3-4 days and are definitely more sludgey then they used to be.

Razz, is your DD's procedure this week? I hope everything goes well hun x

Hi ladies

I'm knackered, three sick kids is not fun, they all ended up in bed with me over night so I'm very sleep deprived. It's hard enough watching my big girls feel miserable when they are sick but at least they can tell me what's wrong, poor Helena has been whimpering so much, breaks my heart. I have given her some baby panadol which seems to have helped a bit, she is wanting lots of cuddles and is still feeding ok, only one side at a time but more frequently. I think she has the body ache we all got at the start of it . Just want to hold her but she has gone down in her cot okay, hopefully she can sleep it off

Meant to ask you wise ladies about transitioning from swaddling to arms out. I want C to start sleeping in his GroBag because he keeps kicking his blankets off in his sleep.

What's the best way to do it? One arm out for a few days? Cold turkey straight to arms out and see what happens?

So... have noticed a bit of yellow pussy gunk on C's eye this afternoon. I'm assuming it's a bit of viral conjunctivitis going along with the wee cold he's got. Should I take him to the GP or will a BM facial every couple of hours do the job to clear things up?

E - Willow had something similar in the early days. I squirted in BM initially but it wasn't clearing up as fast as I'd hoped. Ended up getting saline solution from chemist, worked a treat. RE: chocolate, it's banished :( hope your household is on the mend soon lovely. Sounds like your little man is keeping everyone entertained, so cute!

Sararose, you must be exhausted poor thing, and poor little poppets. Fingers crossed for more rest tonight.

Peanutter, how's the black eye? RE: swaddling, am glad E asked about this; did you have any sleepless nights or did your DS take to it straight away? W loves being swaddled tight, I reckon it'll be difficult to wean her off when she starts rolling.

That sounds exactly like my son when he was little. Exactly! I read that you can try going in 10 minutes before you know they are going to wake up and try doing things to ease them into the next sleep cycle (like patting or rocking), but it only worked maybe once or twice ever, lol. If it's any consolation he's an amazing sleeper now. He's never once gotten up in the night since he was 19 months old.

I was told by a chiro to definitely not do the one-arm-out-technique. Apparently it's quite bad for their body and posture. It might be ok if you swapped which arm was out each night,but I didn't ask. Kyson liked being swaddled for a long long time, but both the girls were unswaddled from really early on and sleep on their tummy. Tummy sleeping probably helps prevent the startle reflex because their arms can't just fly up in the air. It just depends on if your baby likes sleeping on their tummy, and if you are comfortable letting them do so...

I haven't bought much from Pumpkin Patch but I did just put in an order with JK kids. Haven't bought anything from them before so hopefully everything goes smoothly, it looks like pretty good quality stuff on their website. If DF's work approves his leave request we'll be heading down to Sydney and then to Russia in September for a 3 week holiday so I bought some pants, coats and tops for DD1. Will just have to get her a pair of boots :)

My little miss has been super fussy the last couple of days. Not sure what's going on, maybe something I ate. She is still pooing at least 3 times a day, I can't imagine a baby that only poos every couple of days. We're going away for the weekend and DF is going on a boys trip so it will just be me and the girls and my parents. Looking forward to it!

PN - Oh dear, how is your little man's eye now? DD1 was being silly on the end of the couch and fell face first onto the edge of our washing basket a few days ago, almost put her tooth through her lip! I think the moral of the story is that washing is bad :) That's good that DS2 has put on some chub. Was DS1 more on the petite side as well? I'm finding that my girls are pretty much the same in their measurements and milestones so far.

Razzberry - Good luck for tomorrow! Fingers crossed that it's not too stressful for all of you and you get some answers.

Rosey - How have things been for you this week? Any improvement in bub? Don't be afraid to go back to the paediatrician and ask what the other options are if you aren't happy.

Nickers - I'd be cranky at the ob too for putting you through that. We're just going with the mini pill at the moment. It worked fine last time until I got my period back then I was having a period every 2 weeks so I went on the normal pill even though I was still breastfeeding. Hope everything goes well for the christening on Sunday. I bet your boys will all look super cute!

Buffy - Sounds like normal baby behaviour as much as it sucks for us parents :hug; We've been having a lot more frequent feeds here too and I'm putting it down to a growth spurt. How many naps is W having a day? Only thing I can suggest which is what I do sometimes is to try and get her to have a longer nap (I can only achieve this by having her in the ergo) which means that there is more time between feeds and she will have a proper feed because she's really hungry instead of getting distracted and pulling off and looking around all the time. No chocolate!!! I have a major sweet tooth, lucky my babies don't seem to be affected by it.

Sararose - Hope you're all feeling better soon. It's so hard when everyone is sick. I've struggled yesterday and today with DD2 being whingy and DD1 being hyperactive and super sensitive whilst feeling like I'm coming down with something.

Elocin - Hope you can kick that cold in the butt! Isn't it amazing how babies can still be so smily when they're sick? I'd probably give the BM a go over the weekend and see the doc if it hasn't improved by Monday. Both my girls hated being swaddled so can't help you on that one.

He cried so hard tonight it just about broke my heart... Pussy eyes, snotty nose, coughing... Poor wee boy.

DS1 is about 75th pc all round.

He's doing ok now :)

DS2 has gone all screamy twice today for no apparent reason - but has seemed very distressed both times, which is awful!

I seem to be sick again ... blocked nose, sore throat, itchy throat, you know the drill. It's a cold, no more and no less, but by gum colds suck.

And this week is just so chockas - pottery, 2nd b'day party, 60th b'day party, church, 29th birthday party, anti human trafficking think tank, bed, work.

Blergh. And feeding, changing, settling, and loving babies all the way through.
