Hi ladies,
Gosh, I'm so busy at the moment! Kyson NEVER lets me on the computer during the day anymore so it really limits my time on here. It's like he has some kind of 6th sense that tells him when I go near the computer no matter how engrossed in an activity he seems to be, lol. Then he wants to sit on my lap and watch Thomas sing-a-long videos. He used to sit nice and quietly, but now he wants to touch everything, type on the keyboard and generally be a monkey on my lap.
Even now DH is waiting for me to do some music work with him on my computer so I'll have to leave persies for now and just give you all a quick update on me.
I'm now having fortnightly appointments with my Ob and little Apple Blossom is still doing really well. It's actually looking like she may not be quite as big as Kyson after all. At our 32 week appt on Wed her tummy was measuring about 33weeks, but the rest of her was measuring only a day ahead. So Ob thinks she might be chubby, but pretty average sized. I'm not fully convinced though because it was the last 4ish weeks that Kyson really started to grow quickly, so she may still do the same. She's still a real wriggler and mover! I thought Kyson was active in the womb, but it was nothing compared to this little one! So much for babies in the womb sleeping 95% of the time! I'm really not sure when she sleeps at all. I even wake in the middle of the night and she's still at it. She's also much stronger with her movements than Kyson was. Some of them are quite painful. This afternoon she was pushing a foot so hard against the side of my tummy that it was protruding a good 4-5 cm! I still love the movements though and know I'll miss them after she's born.
I'm having more and more problems with my pelvic instability, grrrr. DH has banned me from certain activities including any form of weeding/gardening, and I doubt he'll let me do the grocery shopping again. Once it starts to hurt, it then just gets really bad to the point that for the next couple of days I have trouble even walking. DH had to help me walk from the couch to the dining table one day because I just couldn't walk at all without help! Hopefully it goes back to normal fairly quickly after the birth... Other than that one minor complication, I'm doing really well :)
Kyson is just amazing me every single day! He is picking up new words like crazy and it's so lovely to be able to ask him simple questions and for him to be able to answer. Some of the words aren't exactly clear, and some sound very much like others, but it's amazing that he knows what he is saying and is able to communicate it to us. His new favorite book is an opposites book, and when we read it we tell him the word on the first page (like "near") and then point to the next page and he'll tell us the opposite (like "far"). He was even reading it to himself today, hehehe. I just can't believe how quickly he is growing. My baby boy is growing up so fast and while I love watching it happen, I also miss my "baby"!

grr to the pelvic instability i had it too it must be those cheeky girls but i will tell u when jazz moved down it got a whole lot better but it didnt happen till right near the end lol when i was getting BH's so no fun at all hope it gets better for u xoxoxoxox

Hope the pelvic instability gets better soon Krystie. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to not be able to get around easily.
We had CJ's hip check today - all good, angle not perfect but within normal range so next check up 6 months. I am very relieved about that, but disappointed they didn't offer any suggestions about getting her walking - in fact the guy didn't seem very interested in her ability to walk or not full stop - and said that isn't considered delayed walking until 2 years!!! Now I don't know hardly any 18 month olds that are not walking! I can't wait 6 months! I asked him about shoes (like you did with Bailey Naomi) and he said he wouldn't but he was only interested in the hips and nothing else - the turned out ness of her feet and the way she roles in on her ankles may have nothing to do with the hips so I am trying to get her to see a childrens podiatrist recommended by the MCHN to see what they say - if they say is just a waiting game then I will accept it. But other people do comment on it so I don't think is entirely normal.

totally know what you mean....my mchn i mentioned that andy isnt walking too well and if could be case he is still a learner walker she said possible if hasnt improved by 2 yrs then we will look at it.....if you feel the need for shoes you for it...

Hi girls. Good grief, life gets busy hey? Hope you are all traveling well.
Vic: Glad to hear CJ's x-ray came back within normal range. Yay! Sounds like a bit of a creep of a radiographer though :( Have you seen a paediatrician about the walking? I think from what you've said (ie the walking holding your hand and how she can stand etc) it sounds like she is very close but if you were worried I guess a paed opinion wouldn't go astray? So sorry for the ms - that sucks! It is rough on your body 2nd time round, hey. Hope the ABs help you to kick that bug.
BG: I hope E is feeling better now? Glad you are all moved and settling in.
Krystie: So sorry for the pelvis issues. But not long to go now - hopefully the relief will be pretty much instant. Fingers crossed for you. Kyson's talking sounds cute. P is picking up new words here and there but mainly the new stuff is just parroting what we're saying.
Nay: Loved seeing Bailz' CC pics! It is cool seeing them have a good time, hey. I have some good shots of Phoebe (and Nat for that matter) doing her first paintings etc. Eases the burden of working to know that they're happy enough without you!
Hope all you regional VIC folk are coping with the rain ok. It has been so wet here too - I haven't pegged out washing in ages. Weird summer.
We've been doing well. Natty is very excited about having a birthday soon. I'm sad for her that we'll be away and she won't have a party with her little friends. Next year I'll throw her a bash for sure and this year we'll make a big deal with party hats and lolly bags etc. She is becoming a lot more independent too, particularly in play. She loves having us play with her but she's also happy to entertain herself for longer stretches. Phoebe is also becoming more secure in herself... she certainly knows what she wants and has MEGA tanties when it doesn't go quite the way she hopes. She loves food, although her choices are narrowing. I am trying not to be too concerned but just keep offering a variety and keep my fingers crossed that she doesn't turn out like her big sister (and her dad for that matter!). She often gets really worked up when she's hungry - like she just can't BEAR to have an empty tummy, LOL. In desperation she has turned to ransacking the weetbix and on the couple of occasions where I haven't caught her in time she has taken off with one to munch on! (They are the only accessible food as our cereal is in the bottom of the pantry. Actually she has taken a bite of a raw potato once too, but only the once ;)
Anyway, must away and get some dinner on for the kids. Love to you all. xx
