Danni- gah! I love how my GP chose not to explain the need to be extra careful with nappy change time after the rotovirus vaccine! Man! From now on, I'll be using hand sanitizer AND washing my hands!
You know what's hard? Washing your hands after changing bubs... I have the change table right next to the cot, so I change her, then put her in the cot and quickly go wash my hands.. But yeah , seeing as you can't leave bubs unattended on the change table it's difficult being able to wash your hands immediately!
Her nappies are back to the normal colour now.. That was so weird!
Lolpigs- wow, YES violet wont really go back to sleep from 4.30 onwards! It's like, she has decided she has had enough sleep for the night and doesn't want to go back to bed- she does exactly as you describe, fusses like she does when she wakes up for a feed! Except she normally goes to bed at 9ish so it really doesn't seem like enough sleep to be wide awake at 4:30!
AM, wow Levi is growing like a weed for sure! Violet is in 00, and yeah anything with feet hardly fit! Nikky, suits without feet- bonds are the only brand that seems to do cute ones that I've found!!
Hehehe yes I shall be attending the target baby thin also! Haha. I was so excited k get the catalogue in the mail! I intend to buy the Thumper onesie, singlets and pjs on page 11 hhehehe. I'll be going there tomorrow :)
Ooh I wanted to ask- I put my manual breast pump in the dishwasher as apparently that can be used to sterilize- anyway there was some pasta sauce in a bowl and it sort of stained the plastic ever so slightly- do you reckon it's still okay to use?! The little pots I use to freeze milk in got the slight colour to them too- wondering if they're okay to use of if I should throw them out?
If it's just a bit of staining I wouldn't worry too much - just keep using them. Oh and on the washing hands thing - I have a bottle of hand sanitiser next to the change table. Only time I ever use it, but it makes washing hands after nappy changes so much easier. You don't really need to do both a wash and sanitise unless you get it under rings or so on. Which I somehow managed to do with one of Alex's explosions the other day...
Definitely sounds like she wants to be up Lolpigs....sorry, there goes your sleep in  I'll admit occasionally if I'm super tired I'll lay down for a kip during Alex's morning nap. And go to bed early - usually not long after he does.
Yeah I'm getting a bit over anything that has feet, but mind you I haven't got that many of them as it's just too hot for them at the moment. We mostly stick to short sleeved and short legged stuff when we even bother with clothes. But Alex is getting so long he's even getting too long in the body for half his smaller stuff - the crotch snaps keep busting open.
Mothers group was fun, Alex had a right old time sitting on my knee looking at all the other babies, fussed a bit then did the hugest noisiest poo - which everyone thought was hilarious because it was so loud. Ah well...he went straight to sleep after that. Slept through lunch much to my girlfriend's amusement. And now we're just going to have a nice quiet afternoon because it's too hot to do anything else.
I am REALLY missing that about Perth, Cranks!
The constant heat.
Here, last week...it was 36 and hot for a few days, had aircon going for a week...THEN..BOOM! I have the bloody heater on as it was so cold!
Zoe is in and out of long sleeved/legged stuff then into sleeveless/legless stuff!
Thanks to Amanda, I am going Bonds shopping for footless rompers at Target tomorrow! I haven't received the catalogue yet!
Oh thanks CK, I thought it should be fine but I often doubt my own judgement when it comes to that sort of thing! Mothers group sounded fun! Hahahhaha go Alex, maybe he was showing off just how much noise he could make! Hehe!!!
Weird- Ive started freezing expressed milk and so far have about 8 50ml tubs frozen (i intend to use it if my parents babysit or otherwise I'll use it to mix in with rice cereal when she starts solids- anyway there's one particular tub that I just noticed won't freeze?! It's the same as all the others.. I'll throw it away - but yeah, strange!
Hahhaha Nikky- the bonds ones are at big w, target brand onesies like the bonds ones are at target :) haha. I think I confused you :p heheh. Just heard violet fill her nappy haha, and she's over the other side of the house in the nursery!!!
oohhhhh poop on a stick!
ahhh well, will go check out Target anyways. See what they have. Rarely buy from there as I find Myer to be cheaper :O :O :O
Everyone knows when Z takes a dump! She grunts soooooo loudly. Why is it adorable when a baby does it and not an adult?
Hehe. The one I texted you the pic from the website of is at target!! But the ones violet was wearing in the pics are from big w :).
LOL yes somehow babies manage to make even gross things cute :) hahhaha!
So I have been a tad MIA!
I have had the crappest couple of days! Saturday I ended up in the ER with Aubree she had flecks of blood in her poo, all the tests came back normal and the only thing the paed could work out that was different was the AB's I was on for the mastitis, so I had to stop them straight away... Thank god it seems to be gone!
Then yesterday it was quite hot here, so I was worried because Aubree barely fed and was sleeping all day, so off to the ER again! She was a tad dehydrated, but once we got into the ward and she had all the monitors on... BAM back to normal! Scared me so much because she was so lethargic, and usually she reacts in her sleep when I tickle her feet and what not, but yesterday she just wasnt doing anything! I dont think I have ever been so scared in my life! And then when DH walked in the look on his face! He was so worried! This little girl has us wrapped around her little finger!
I paid for the lack of feeding yesterday though, because last night she was waking up every 1.5-2 hours to feed! This morning I felt like I had been hit by a bus!
Anyways I have been trying to catch up with all you ladies..
Nikky - My SIL got me some really cute onesies from Cotton On kids and they dont have feet :) I have a couple of them because Aubree has huge flippers! lol
Lolpigs -I agree with the others.. If the dream feed was working for you, then keep doing it..
holy snapping batpoo Mollie!
Glad lil Aubree is okay! how scary for you guys :(
Kids! seriously know how to scare the bejeeesus out of us!
When H had her febrile convulsion couple of years ago, I fell apart! Never EVER been so scared in my life!
Just think...they have the rest of our lives to scare us hehehe
I just put a bow clip in Z's hair to keep the fringe out of her eyes....all together now....AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
Hugs Mollie.
Levi was 000 at birth. In 00 at the moment.
Today at the Target I spent $380 on 1s. I also got some toys for his birthday or christmas :)
Yeah it was scary. I'm so glad I got the doctor that I did though. Sge was wonderful! Mind you the little ratbag was all smiles when she finally woke up.
I can not wait for Aubree to have enough hair for me to be able to put clips abd things in:)

Yipes Mollie that must've been a worrying couple of days! Glad Aubree is okay and hope there's no more scares like that for a good long time
Well that was interesting....
So at the usual time Alex is put down to bed in his nappy and light gro-bag because it's hot. He probably wriggles a bit but doesn't protest so I leave him and he goes off to sleep on his own. I go to bed a bit later but find it hard to sleep as it's hot and the curry I had for dinner is giving me heartburn.
Eventually drop off after putting the air con on. Wake up a couple of hours later because Alex is grunting and wriggling in his bed, a precursor to yelling and complaining. So I pick him up to go feed him - he's soaked. His gro-bag is wet and cold. So we go into the change room and I unzip his gro-bag...he'd somehow wriggled his leg out of a still fastened huggies nappy, it's just hanging off the other leg with his bum completely bare!
While my half asleep befuddled brain tries to process this and I grab another nappy, he firehoses me square in the chest. I duck, grabbing for a towel and he decides to wriggle, turning the stream that had been hitting the wall into a sprinkler until I manage to get the towel over him and eventually a new nappy on...
I'm awake now.
Lmao
I'm sorry cranks ... but that is funny
Good start to the day ;)
Lmao!!! He was just saying good morning mummy ;)

Haha Ck so funny :)
Mollie that sounds scary I'm glad Aubree is so much better :) Wow Lilly is lagging behind she is still in 000 haha only just recently graduated to them.
Ok so we didnt do the dream feed, Lilly has been having toothypeg troubles these last few nights and has been chewing her dummy like there is no tomorrow and it took her so long to get to sleep I didnt want to bother her again. I think I'll try it later as it only worked twice as from then on she wouldnt drink much and woke later on anyway. I put her to bed at 8pm, she woke at 4am fussing so I gave her a feed and put her back to bed, she woke at 6:30 fussed and then went back to sleep on her own till 7:30, when we started fussing more so I got her up and gave her a feed and a play. She is back in bed now.
Looks like she is an early bird :) I find though she cant stay awake longer than an hour before she gets super cranky tired, so it makes going out places hard. I'm guessing I will just have to wait till she is older to go out more? She also now seems to hate her car seat and screams in it.. no idea why.
Lolpigs Dont worry Aubree has only just graduated to 000, I dont think Aubree will be in 00 for a little while yet :)
It's a bit surprising for me because DD was a petite bubba and didn't graduate to 000 until about 3 months. Alex is a boofa by comparison :)
Have spent the morning rearranging and organising his bedroom. Moved his change table back in there instead of in the room next to ours because I usually can get away without changing him overnight (except for in cases of last night's shenanigans ) and organised his toys into those he can play with now and those that are just a little old for him yet. Need to get him a toybox or shelf of some kind eventually - he has soooo many toys already from Christmas that if I don't get a handle on them soon they're going to take over the house!
Crikey Mollie that's some scary few days you've had!!! I would have been a complete mess..
CK that's hilarious.. You know i've got two boys but never been pee'd on but they certainly made up for it in the vomit department.
Abby has only recently grown into 000 as well and I can see she'll be in the bassinet till 4 months.
I was looking at the formula tin today and Abby should be moving up to 200mls per feed but she can barely have 150mls still guess some babies just aren't big eaters.
DH has flown interstate this morning for 5 days, only found out lastnight so I've got the three kids to myself with no help... yikes!!
Haven't seen or heard from Jan in a while!?

Yeah?!?
hope everything is ok Jan  I would have been a mess too! Poor thing so much stress
Well the new dummys are a big hit, had to get something bigger for Lilly as the old ones were too small now with the toothypeg chomping. I got her the next size up in the avent ones and she loves them. Wew. It is so hard finding teething stuff for 2month olds ;( Lilly is doing really well with her sleeps. She needs the dummy but settles herself right down and spits it when shes asleep. Can't complain about that.
She has started angry babbling at me instead of crying latley! I was like OMG stop growing up so fast!
Lilly is like that Dan, overnight she seems hungriest taking almost the full 200ml bottle. During the day it varies from 100ml - 200ml depending on her mood. Eep at being along for 5 days with no help! I hope he comes back soon
Ck I've tried toys with Lilly, she is mildly interested. Mostly she likes books and being spoken and read too. Guess that is why I have a babbling monster atm? LOL
P.S Feeling alot better today, fingers crossed it gets better :)
Yay for feeling better Lolpigs :)
Hope everything is ok Jan
Danni how on earth did you manage to get through raising 2 boys without being peed on at least once?? Must be some kind of record! I swear Alex is a sneaky rascal and waits for the precise moment my guard is down
Just found out my local book exchange has quite a good range of kids books - Alex loves being read to, so I'm planning on buying him a book a week. Better than small change kicking around in my purse.
I find Fishpond com au good as well. Cheaper than book stores and free delivery :)
you guys are onto 200ml of formula already?? What formula you giving the girls?
I am using S26 Gold and the quantity is still only 120mls 6 times a day for 0 - 3months!
Then from 3 months - 6 months its 180ml.
I second, third, fourth the other girls Jan in hoping everything is okay xx
ohhh for cheap books go to book depository dot co dot uk
Can not rave bout them enough! cheap books and free delivery :)
I am usually getting at least a book a week hehe
They accept paypal, and I consider the money I make off ebay that goes into my paypal, as not real money! so I spend it online hehe and that company gets a LOT of business from me!
Lolpigs, my bank balance is going to hate you! That site looks awesome :)
Hahaha :) They have stacks of kids books :)
I use Karicare Goat 1 Nikky. It's 200ml at 2-3mths.
I'm using Heinz nurture gold 1 for Abby and it states 2-4 months 200mls 5 times per day but Abby is lucky to have 150mls and most feeds I'm tossing out 20-30mls at least. Funny how different formulas state differing amounts.
Nikky can't believe you can pin back Zoe's fringe! Abby was born with a fair bit of hair but it 's really thinned out on top ATM.
CK I must be lucky to escaped no peeing from the boys hehe.. But as I said the baby vomit made up for it..
Lolpigs if Lilly is having teething trouble already have you thought about one of those Amber Necklaces for her? I have one for Abby but probably won't use I for another month at least but they do say to start putting it on them from 8 weeks.
Day 1 down only 4 to go!

Pee, poo, vomit - Alex has gotten me with all of them. Ah well, part of the joys I guess :)
Wow that's a lot of hair Zoe has Nikky! DD was bald as bald until she was nearly 1, Alex has a bit of fuzz on top and longer at the back (ha ha, I just realised it sounds like he has a mullet) but not enough to bother with a brush. He lost a fair bit on his sheets and on the insert of his ergo at first though.
Alex loved his new book tonight - cuddled in on my lap sucking on his hands and cooing while I read it to him, then had a little feed before laying his head on my chest and going straight to sleep.
Weird....double post.
Yeah I got an Amber bracelet for her but its too big :( Her arms and legs are too tiny and it just falls off.
Thats so cute CK ;) When I read to Lilly she tries to touch the picutres. Lilly had a weird night, she was all wet when I went to bed at 10pm so had to strip everything including the bed and it woke her up, then I realised I didn't have any wraps dry so she was in the gro bag but that took her forever to get to sleep even with the dummy as I think she kept waking herself which means she will be wrapped while rolling around becuase she can't sleep, then she was up at 2am then 6am.. funny thing was at 6am she just drifted in and out of sleep like napping till about 7:15 when I got her up.
Just now she slept from 8:30 - 10:30am and spent 30 mins or so napping and practising rolling. She dosent seem to cry for me much during the day, even for feeds now so I have to guess she is hungry little pest! Was cute watching her practise her rolling though :)
I'm still expecting her to cry when she needs me, perhaps she thinks I'll just know now? Like during her morning nap I heard her do a poo, but she didnt cry out for me she just dozed off again.
I know she is done with her nap now beucase when I go over to see her I get a huge smile. Seems she likes some practise time for whatever before I get her up after her sleeps hehe
Shes a funny chicken my one. My boobs are really sore today. I had to massage some sore spots and get the milk out today. The CHN rekons that it would only take a few days for the milk to stop. So much for that!
What a funny little Miss :) I'm guessing she's not crying as much because you're starting to anticipate her needs and she trusts that you'll fix whatever's bothering her soon enough. Alex is the same, he hardly ever cries but does let me know what he wants in other ways - grunts and wriggles and so on. He also likes a bit of time before getting up to lay in his cot looking around, sucking his hands and waving his feet in the air. Then he calls out when he's ready to get up. And yes, the huge smile when I go to get him - so cute :)
I love the morning smiles :). Abby chatters away for sometimes half an hour before I raise my head in the morning. Abby fed at 10pm then woke around 7am for a feed, stayed awake and played on the mat for a couple of hours and is now back in bed. I find she doesn't cry much either there is always someone around to keep her company when she needs it.

Oh except when its time for car seat.. its calamity stations on red alert then LOL
Hmm should I be worried? DD seems to prefer sleeping on her stomach :S Atm I have a compromise position of her half on her side and half on her tummy but I can see it going the full way when she has more manuverability. Her head is turned to her side not face down here so at least that is something.
She does roll onto her back but I find latley has been spending lots of time trying to roll in this direction instead.
Here is a picture of her asleep, I check her all the time when I'm awake, but my worry is when I fall asleep at night. Hubby says sometimes I get up and check her multiple times in my sleep and I dont even know I'm doing it LOL.
Funny thing is I used to sleep like this when I was younger, just not this young! It is impossible to get her to settle on her back now.
https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...1990-dsc-0218/
Does she cry as soon as you put her in, or just when you go to do up the seatbelt? And does she have a mirror above the seat at all?
Heya girls :)
I've had a grumpy pants on my hands today, doesn't want me to put her down!!
Lolpigs, I think I need to get violet the next size in dummies too! They're falling out of her mouth easily, the newborn ones... Did you buy 3-6 months size?
Violet has a rash on her face like tiny red dots.. Dr thought it was eczema but I'm not sure.. It's behind her ears and under her chin too.. Danni, is that similar to what Abby had that time?
Went to target yesterday and spent too much on cute outfits hehe.
Mollie, yeah I'd have been an absolute mess too... What an ordeal. Did your dr prescribe you antibiotics that were breastfeeding safe? Might be worth giving them
Some feedback?
Yeah jan I hope your okay hun!!
CK hahaha I really can't help but find that nappy story very funny.. I told DH and he found it very amusing.
I try reading to violet and she doesn't seem to be interested?!
Yep 3 to 6mth ones, Lilly love them.
Ck, She gets all funny as soon as I put her in, but dosent start to cry till she has been in the seat for a few mintues, well after I do the seat belt. I've checked to make sure its not twisted or anything and its not too tight.
I have a meridian AHR tilt and adjust, I notice that she gets quite hot in there? The newborn padding seems quite warm however when she cries alot she sweats alot too.
No mirror, should I look for something to clip onto the seat to keep her occupied? Feel like such a noob with this stuff!
Yeah they were safe while breastfeeding.. The funny thing was they didnt really agree with me either, I had the runs and felt worse been on them! Thank god I am never sick :)
Well Dh and I had an exciting day, we got a newcar. Its second hand but in imaculate condition! A lovely dark blue nissan x trail :) I pick it up monday.
Jan I hope your ok x
Sent from my GT-I9100T using Tapatalk
Oooh very nice Mollie - how exciting :)
Yeah the meridians do get quite hot even with the a/c full blast - Alex gets all sweaty after a long trip in his too. I do tend to have just in a onesy if I know we're going to be in the car a lot. The mirror I have on the headrest above him angled so he can see me and I can check on him. Originally I got it because of his being a spewer, I wanted to know if he was covered in it well before we got to where ever we were going, but he likes it as well because I think it's a bit boring and lonely in the back otherwise, staring at the back of the seat. The other possibility if she protests more as you start the car moving would be her getting motion sickness but not sure what you'd do about that.
Ck that's awesome, I didn't even realize those mirror things existed! That's awesome cos at the moment I insist upon DH driving while I sit in the back of the car with violet or if I am driving I get my sister / a friend / mum or whoever is with me to sit in the back with her cos I get anxious that with all the padding in her car seat (she has the meridian as well and yes, always gets sweaty!) that she will turn her head to the side or something while sleeping (SIDS risk etc, yes I am a tad paranoid!!!) so having a mirror would mean I wouldn't be so scared driving with just her and I in the car! Where did you get yours from? Yay!!!!! So buying one!
