MM - so glad you posted hun and honestly? I think you are making the right and very best decision. I would do exactly the same thing if I were in the situation. I can totally understand that the BFing talk hurts..........I guess I can only liken it to my CS and the fact I feel disappointed about that and hearing about natural births makes me upset too. People saying or inferring I should have or could have tried harder for my VBAC also makes me upset/angry/you name it. Please know that you have my support with your decision. What formula are you using? I used formula for a couple of months with DD and thankfully only had to try one type and she took to it easily.

Thankyou for being so understanding star  Im using NAN HA GOLD. Its expensive (compared to others on the market) but after lots of research I worked out that it would be the best for Tay as DD1 has both eczema and asthma and Im trying to avoid that this time. She seems to be tolorating it quite well.

MM- babe, and definately no judgement here, I pretty much FF DS1 from 5 weeks, I hated BF. I don't mind BF so much this time, but I don't think I'll exclusively BF for very long. I didn't want to say anything either though for the same reason! I'm sorry your upset about it though, it sounds like BF is important to you? Just remember, FF doesn't make you any less of a mother sweetheart, and it sounds like Tay is better for the FF...
Big hugs, and I hope you feel better soon xxxxx
Star- I've missed you girls too :) how is Mr T going? Is he feeling better? Are you back at work now? Xxxx
Afm- argh, I'm tired. I think the adrenalin is wearing off now and I'm starting to feel it. I'm starting to not like BF again- I don't hate it and I won't stop yet but I'm thinking I might start comp feeding soon. I've been feeling really sad lately, I dint know how I'll cope when DF goes back to work :( I'm also still majorly fat, which doesn't help....
See this is why I don't post!! I'm just a whinging unhappy biatch ATM lol.
Xxxx to all my lovely girls!

Big group hug :)
Mm-I've heard about that formula and all good things too! I hope you keep posting in here Hun.
Yas- the mw at the hospy told me that our hormones are 30to
Es more when pregnant and it takes a while for us to stabalise after birth. I think feeling a bit sad is totally normal Hun. I bet you don't look fat! I struggle with the whole post baby body thing too.
With the whole bfing discussion, I guess my struggle is being away from my babies. It's very hard to leave the
Even though it's with dh and go to the office. The whole milk thing is a pita but I do it because it makes me feel slightly better about being away from them. I shouldn't complain because at the moment I'm only doing half days at work and this is our choice but it does play on me emotionally. And I really hate expressing. Hate with a capital H.

I second the group  We are all awesome mumma's to our babies :D
Star- You can complain hun, having to leave your bubba's, even for half a day sucks. And your an awesome mum for expressing! TBH I wouldn't, I hate expressing too. I know it's normal to be abit sad, I'll be over it soon hopefully :) How is Miss X coping with Mr T? Is mr T feeling better? Xxxxx
MM- I hope I didn't upset u Hun! I hope your ok! Xxxx

I really dont know what to do....
She wouldnt settle today until I finally gave in and gave her boob and this was 1 hr after formula. I know I need to make a decision and just stick with it but I just dont know what to do!! :(
-
Mm- why don't you do both for a while? Like comp feed sort of thing? I think you might need to bs as to do that anyway because you don't want to end up with mastitis.I really think if it causing you to bs upset, choose the choice that seems the less upsetting. Xx
-
Im starting to feel weak and feverish already :( I think I might just feed her throughout the day for now and express after feeds to try and boost my supply and give her a bottle of formula before bed at night so I can express that whole feed so build up abit of a stash in the fridge and freezer. That way if I give formula the flick, I got back up top ups stored if shes extra hungry. I will see how that pans out before I stop all together. My baby and my body isnt liking it one little bit.
-
NOw that sounds like a plan MM! :) and it's nice for me to have a pump friend. Lol. But in all seriousness expressing willmhelp avoid the fever/mastitis. There's some herbs you can take to boost and also reduce supply too Hun, just ask if you want details etc. Do you use a dummy? I was just thinking she might like the suck to put her off to sleep?
-
MM no need to feel guilty about FF, I comp feed Maddi from 2wks & then FF from 6wks.
I can understand how you feel tho
Yas vent away it's what we are here for but some great big  for you
Star  don't want you to feel left out ;)
If anyone want to join the FB octo group you'd be more than welcome to :D
AFM things are going well here, i caved & gave Bambi a dummy but it seems to be working because she is chucking up less & is heaps more content now.
bbl she just woke up

Hi girls.
I have been busy the past couple days trying to boost my supply. I have been expressing after every feed (except at night) and starting taking fenugreek 3 days ago. DD was so unsettled after the formula (she ended up having about 3 bottles over 3 days.. so not that much) so have given it the flick altogether. I have stopped taking the painkillers I was taking and Im dealing with nurofen and panadol. I am seeing my doc about my jaw at my 6 week check... I had it the entire pregnancy.. they didnt want to do too much to me then and just prescribed codine. Poor kid.
Anyhoo, DD is much happier now and back to pooing like a trooper (im thinking thats why she was so sad because she didnt poo for 2 days when she had the formula!). My supply is so so , but not as bad as it was. Shes getting better and better at feeding which is nice.. she pretty much just latches on herself now :)
Thanks for listening to all my going on's girls... things still arnt perfect regarding feeding, but we are getting there and im confident I have made the right decision. At the end of the day, it really doesnt matter how we feed our babies, as long as they are fed!
Im losing my mojo lately... I think ive run out of steam aswell. It would be lovely to have an arvo nap! Its just a no go with a toddler who doesnt sleep during the day anymore :(

Very quiet in here lately, I hope everyone is ok.
Had Tay's 4 week check today. Everything is perfect, no issues. Shes now 4400 grams (she was 3990, 2 weeks ago). Gosh the MCHN's talk alot of crap at the appointments... Ive learned it just "nod and agree" with Taylah. With DD1 I remember taking everything so seriously...
Next appointment in 4 weeks.
Also first immunisations in 4 weeks. Is everyone immunising in here?
-
Thats my fault MM i got Star added to the FB group, your more than welcome to join if you want as well.
I was told in our area they are immunizing at 6 weeks because of whooping cough & yes we are.
Bambi is 4010g & 52cms at 3w2d old :D
Sounds like Taylah is doing great & i agree with the nurses talking crap.
