Handing out hugs to all who need it... yeah I'm looking at you Kaz in particular and Lilima.
DS likes being chased too and lately it's been a lot of hard work to get anything on him (nappies, clothes, socks, shoes, jackets). So sick of fighting him - well not fighting but you knwo what I mean -
"let's change your nappy."
"no" (runs off)
"Let's put your jacket on."
"no" (runs off)
I'm having a blah day today - "just wish i was a zalillionaire then I'd pay someone to do everything for me" day.

i am back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi girls,
Quick question about whether your kids are doing this too as I'm not sure what to make of it. DS has been doing this a couple of weeks now and it drives me bonkers!
Not all the time but at least once a day and sometimes multiple times. He usually wants lots of cuddles throughout the day. I have no drama with that. I get it. At times he says he wants a cuddle but then gets a bit upset and then moves away from me, sometimes even pushes me away or struggles to get out of my arms then sits on the other side of the room and still calls for cuddles. If I go to him he runs/moves further away. If I stay where I am and tell him to come to me he gets louder with more whinging and sometimes even crying. Says over and over "cuddle mummy". It goes like this for a few minutes and then eventually he will come to me or allow me to go to him or we meet half way and have another cuddle. It drives me crazy that he says he wants one and then rejects it. It is usually, although not always triggered by him having to wait (briefly) until I finish something. I'm talking a few seconds to a minute at most. I'm not 100% on this though. Is it normal or is it about what is happening with DP do you think? What can I do? It's seriously so frustrating!!
His sleep is all over the show atm but he's been a bit sick so we know why. Still no sign of 2yr old molars and I'm dreading them!! Anyone got any yet?
Currently have the MiL here for the weekend. She has been ok so far but still tends to play with him when it suits her. Earlier today he made her a cup of tea and gave it to her but she didn't even pretend to drink it, just put it on the bench and talked about how she was going to have a cup of tea after her breakfast. Later when she wanted to have it with him, he'd moved on and was up to a different game. All morning it's been like that so he's spent more time with me and DP than her. He will stop asking her soon (as in another few visits like this and he will learn not to bother) so I really hope she works out that she has to follow his lead a little bit to be more involved.
Hope you guys all have an awesome day tomorrow with your kids. We are all so lucky to have them. xx

Kaz - I had this this morning with Miss J. Grizzling wanting to be picked up then wriggling to be put down. Nothing would make her happy! She is now alseep in bed so I think she was feeling tired and overwhelmed. She has all her 2yo molars except for the last half which is breaking through now and also making her clingy and whingy. So it could have something to do with the behaviour.
-
Kaz- DD hasn't done that but I think her most used phrase is 'I need a cuddle!!!!!!!!' All the time! She's going through a Mummy phase. It's probably just him testing out his independence and trying to show you he can do/have whatever he wants, when he wants, lol. We have a lot of that atm but in different ways.
DD got all her 2yo molars before she was too and they weren't even bad actually, don't worry :)
Are there any more teeth to get?? I thought that was all of them, she has 20. But the past week she's been saying 'I got sore mouth' all the time and pointing and at the back down the bottom is white like when they're going to get a tooth, wtf? Didn't think there was any more. Maybe it just always looked like that but I hadn't looked before.
-
be back later....but Heaven, 20 baby teeth are it!
-
Oh phew! Thanks Olive. Glad she's done with teething.
-
Yep 20 is it. Could it be an ulcer?
-
Hi everyone! I am so excited...we finally have fast internet...woo hoo...what was taking hours is now instant!!! So joining in will be a whole lot easier!
Miss A is doing the running away thing....and the tantrums omg it is something to see...I keep telling myself it's normal...it is...right????
I have alot of reading to do to catch up on everyone's news so forgive me for being all over the place for a bit x
-
Hi Ellie!! I can't believe your DD2 will be one in a few days!
Good to hear that other 2 year olds are doing similar things. And Heaven you have my hopes up now that DS's molars won't be too bad  Bet they're a nightmare!! Glad DD1s were ok for you both.
GTG.

With E, it is all about "hold hands". it is driving me insane. she jsut wants to hold hands all the time. Sleep is still hit and miss atm. Because she has a cast on, sometimes when she rolls over, she clocks herself with it, and wakes up.
First xray shows that it is going ok. Another xray on THursday.
I hope everyone had a wonderful mothers day!
-
Oh the arm in the cast sucks! I don't know if I even got round to sharing that Miss A broke her arm on Fathers Day last year...ended up with Scarlet Fever and Hand Foot and Mouth from the hospital...I am sooooo feeling you pain Lilma...how much longer is the cast on for?
My highlight of Mothers Day...Miss A helped pack toys away for the first time ever...that's the highlight as DH (mmm funny how those two letters are the first letters of what I'd really like to call him!) decided Mothers Day was a non event this year...not even a card...I am shattered...my first MDay with Miss T and not a single keepsake...so I'm going to go and get myself a pandora charm tomorrow so at least I can tell her that's what I got to celebrate being her mum...I got a birth stone charm for Miss A's first Mday...blah....I feel so hurt...and premenstral ...no chance of number 3 here!!!!

Ellie I would have some choice words for him!
E has developed impetigo on her nose and mouth. From hospital as well no doubt!
-
Hehehe...went to the post office today and asked if they had any left over Mothers Day cards...bought the lot and put it on his visa card lol!!!!! Have left them on the kitchen bench...this should be FUN!
Hope everyone else is having a productive day...
-
Ellie... Go you good thing!
Let us know what he says...
-
Hahaha Ellie! Well done! Let us know what he says.
My friend sent DP a book about Mothers and Daughters and told him to give it to me as she had heard that I didn't get any gifts
-
While we are on the topic... I bought my own gift a while ago and gave it, along with a "happy birthday mummy", "happy birthday wife" and "happy mothers day" cards to DH. I was sure that way I'd actually get a nice day.
Bah was I wrong!! Oh well.
Nai - did you like your gift?
Back on the topic of our kids - DD has started waking at night a bit, she seems scared? At what age do dreams start??
