Chase has been a terror at night, I think its because he has a stuffy nose and can't sleep. Off to the chemist to see what I should get him. I was thinking vicks might help clear his nose up enough for him to have a good sleep.

Hi ladies i have found you!
I will be a bit of a random popper inner for a couple of weeks we got a beautiful house that we have to move into on the 8th of April so we have a lot of packing cleaning and moving to do in the next 2-3 weeks.
As for checking bub for signs of breathing i am so glad i got an Angelcare slound and movement monitor it does it for me i take the hand monitor with me everywhere and it constantly ticks and a pendulem swings when it detects breathing movements and an alarm will sound if it stops i never had one with my other kids and just used the hand on the belly trick.
I will try to get back on tonight to catch up with how you all are going.

Yup jak at the mater, home now thank god- still on my phone no time for puter yet. Getting ready for ella to come home from mums tomorrow, then the real fun begins lol. Having chloe has healed my heart after everything with ella, she is just perfect. Feeding,sleeping beautifully and healthy and gorgeous. No time in nicu or scn so she hasn't had to leave my side :)

I wasn't happy with them either Lou. Some of the middies were good well 1 was the rest were horrible.
I have a voltarin but it was put up my toosh lol think it was more for the stitches.
Haha I had some up the bum too kylz,in theatre. Then I was written up for a tablet in the morning and one at night. Just went to the chemist on the way home and they told me its not bf safe and can cause chloe respiratory distress and basically made out like we were the worst parents ever :(
They gave them in the end as long as I said I'd take them right after I feed her. I'm stumped, it was the anethetist that wrote it up too so you'd think he'd know best.....

would you believe the hospital gave me no painkillers when I went home less than 2 days after my c-sect?? Yes, thats right, they told me to take panadol every 4 hours...which turned out to be wrong and I was only supposed to have them every 6 hours. doh!
My sweet baby has come back! The one that sleeps happily after a feed and is really good at night. God i missed him LOL must have been the nose thing. Chemist told me to squirt saline up his nose... whats this Fess thing Kylz? I have a nasal aspirator that I was trying to use but he doesn't have a runny nose, its just blocked so I wasn't sucking anything out of it.
W was awesome on the plane, he never woke :) Being home is great but tbh im not sure how i will cope when stephen goes back to work. He does everything! I just concentrate on the baby.
Poor wee man had a blocked duct in his eye so it keeps filling up with crap, then it dries and he cant open his eye! Its breaking my heart, and the Dr says it can last 6-12 months!!! wtf!

Who did your Avi's girls? I would just update the current one, as in lose the belly and add bub, but i notice you now have to organise them ourselves. And i have no idea how :(

Just quickly - jak - squirt some breast milk in his eye a few times a day and wipe with a cotton ball from inside to outside. Use a fresh one each stroke. It'll clear up soon enough :)

Kitty that's so poor, although I had to ask and they wouldnt give me a script for anything just said to use over the counter stuff. But they told me I would be fine on just panadol!!! Umm no. Owies. I had c sect weds arvo and they were trying to kick me out Friday. I said no way haha.

thanks for the support the other day, i was freaking out as a friend had to fight to keep her kids after asking the mchn for help with pnd, and she was realy tring to push for me to have intergrated support (people who come and do things for you like housework) i think i was overthinking the whole thing.
i have to get bub a dummy i think! she is a great night sleeper, as long as she has boob in her mouth! not feeding, just as like a comfort, im going to see if coles has the ones i used for krystal so far 5 shops and no one sells the ones i like!! just hope it works and she sleeps without me like she dose inthe day.
you would think after 4 kids id have this baby stuff worked out hey! for some reason i keep forgetting to burp her, helps that she isnt a chucky orwindy baby, but i feel so bad the few times i put her down sleeping, only to have her wake with a pain because she needed it.:shakehead:

jaki: loulabelle did mine, she did a great job I think :) Chase still has a mucky eye; I've been squirting breast milk and saline in it and wiping like they say but he still has it when he wakes up and its been two weeks. Some days its better than others. The dr said you can also massage the duct, best to do it while he is breast feeding, that might help as well.
sarah: thats good that bubby is a great night sleeper. Chase was good at the beginning then he went ferral, but now he is back :)
ellasmummy: I had chase 11.09am tuesday and they kicked me out thursday morning :( DH had a go at the nurse, then his dad complained to the resource centre and caused this big upset. I felt like the nurses were deathstaring us every time we walked down the hall LOL Redlands probably won't have us back hahaha
well Chase is sleeping soundly after having his 'awake' time. He has been so good today and last night, I hope it continues tonight FX. God is anyone else eating and eating? Every time I eat dinner two hours later I'm starving again. And then I feel like I will get fat if I keep eating extra but I'm always so hungry. I also think I've had more cravings breastfeeding than I did through the pregnancy hahaha nutella sandwiches...yummy!
I was given Endone as well as Voltaren and Panamax to take in between (orally lol). Considering I was still trying to BF while in hospital I can't see why they would give me all of that if it causes problems. I'm still taking the Endone when the pain is bad, but mainly the voltaren and panadol because my back has been killing me lately. I don't think it helps that H is almost back to his birth weight lol.:
On a completely unrelated topic... We ventured out to the shopping centre yesterday, and I was sitting with H waiting for mum and a lady and her daughter and baby approached me to tell me how cute he was (nawwww hehe), then asked how old he was and were shocked when I said 10 days. The daughter's baby was only 3 pounds at birth :o When I told her H was 10pound 10 her eyes bulged hahaha
Kitty we posted at the same time. 2 nights?! I was in from Monday afternoon (putting in the gel), he wasn't born until 11:47pm Tuesday, and I was discharged Saturday morning. They told me from the start - 3 nights for a vag birth and 4 nights for a c-section. 2 nights is crazy!! I was barely feeling human again after 2 nights.
I.was only in 2 nights that was plenty long lol

Jaki re your fb post... If it's bragging I'm going to do it too hehe. I put on 7kgs during the pregnancy and I've lost 12kg already. I still have another 5kg to go to get to my pre-m/c weight - between the m/c and the pregnancy I put on 17kgs last year :o - but it's a good start!
I'm not game to get on scales. Last check I had put on 12-15kg

I came home on day 4 with only panadole and nurofen the hospital will only give endone while you are in there otherwise you have to go to your GP i have managed on panadole except when i go shopping ect my back kills from the spinal.
Has anyone had trouble after the catheter was removed i am still sore inside and take ural every day i dont have an infection it is just so bruised even my ummmm hummm bits are black and blue the doctor said all the blood has pooled there i look like a black lady downstairs:o

Glad your little man enjoyed his flight home only a few days old and already been on a plane i am 36 and never been on one.

Can i brag to i put on 8kgs with this pregnancy and still had 2kgs left over from the ivf hormones so all up 10kgs heavier than my normal weight and i got on the scales today and only have 3kgs left until i am back to my normal weight it is all around my belly though.
I am on fluid tablets because when i was going into theatre i took my rings off easily and then when i tried to put them back on OMG! they would not go on the nurse said a lot of ladies retain fluid after c sections well i certainly did.

I have been reading but like Facebook... Just have yet to post. Making some huge decisions at the moment.
Had a few things to say but.. The eye thing, Kolton has had that for the last 5 days. I take a warm cotton ball and wipe along the bone on the nose up to the corner of the eye and across. This stimulates the blocked duct. : )
Also, I have a sleeper on my hands.. K slept last night from 6:30-4:30. Dh woke him up at 12:00 to try to feed him but he was not interested. Wonder how long this will last?
I am now officially off all pain killers and using the belly bandit. LOVE it! Anyone else using it?
Re catheter or fluid retention Ferrals.. I had no worries with either.. Only thing was the scar. I am so surprised as it just looks like someone wrote on me with a very fine tip pen.
I must say I am ready to drive now!! Friday arvo, I get to drive Yaaaa!
Btw.. probably too much info.. but would like to know from those that have had the C... How long did you bleed for? I was told you bleed for just as long as a vb but after 1 week and 1 day, I am wearing nothing!! Love, Love, Love it!

I only stayed in hospital one night, I feel so much better in my own home and love seeing Grace sleeping in her hammock.
After reading Jaki's post on FB of course I had to weigh myself as well, LOL, I put on 8kg during my pregnancy but have lost just over 8kg already! Woohooooo. I don't know how that happened in two days, it must have been just all baby and placenta/fluids.
Hope everyone and their bubs are doing well :)

i may be the odd one out, but i dont want to know how much i weigh! havent been on scales since 36 weeks? i think it was and was realy happy id put on 9kg, i know ive lost some but dont want to know! only problem is i have to buy pants, all the ones i have are now to big and my pre preg ones are still to small! and im over trakkies.
made some progress with names, it cant be to hard to spell, aparently he still has trouble spelling Krystal :rolleyes: and cant be 'wierd' wich is apparently everything i like!! we will get there, hopefully soon!
Tams-my scar so far is great like yours mine is like a pen line for 80% of it but at the other end i have the top of the cut sticking out over the bottom the midwife said when the stitches desolve it will pull itself in i dont have the overhang i was worried about my belly is pretty flat just the scar on one side i think i will get some of the c section silicon gel pads to prevent the keyloid scar from happening at the dodgy end that was were i was bleeding from after the surgery and the doctor were pulling and pushing on it to stop the bleeding so maybe the pulled it out of line.
And my bleeding is almost non exsistant to i have non unless i over do it then i just get a little very watery light pink i think i will be alright to drive by the end of next week to.
I fit in all my clothes just cant do up the pants still to sore so i wear my belly bad and it helps feel less tender.
I put on 2.5kg from my pre-preg weight, though I did loose 2-3kg in the first trimester that I put back on during the pregnancy. I'm now 7kg under my pre-pregnancy weight :) GD does have its uses after all LOL
Ferrals: no fluid retention either as soon as that was out i was fine.
LMP: ummm i'm still kind of bleeding now....just super light. i thought it had stopped a couple of days ago but then it came back.
Sarah: good luck with the names. I wanted Finn but DH said that was weird and he refused to name his kid after a glee character. watever glee is awesome.

ali: they told us the same but they had so many ladies coming in i just got turfed. i expected to be in there till friday at least. thats why DH was so ****ed.
Well chase got confused and thought daytime was nighttime sigh.so now im exhausted from being up late. DH is no help, he is really ****ing me off. barely spends any time with the baby and when i get angry at him for it he says he was home. umm being home playing call of duty doesn't count as spending time with your son. gaah im so ****ed off at him. wat can i do though?
Not yet kitty haven't had a chance to get to chemist. He seems ok at moment. Had huge green boogers earlier and been good since. Jus is pretty much doing same hun. He is ment to help with with weekends and hasn't this weekend at all. We went to a friend party last night and I held him the WHOLE time so I didn't get anything to eat :( I love how they think cause they work they don't have to do anything when they get home. Think words will be had later today.

Kylz: OMG that is grants excuse too, 'but I work all week'...Hello we aren't exactly having a holiday at home all day. had a go at him but dont think it will change anything. He thinks he changes one nappy a week and that makes him awesome. And next week there is a party he wants to go to saturday night; he just doesn't think. We have a baby we can't just be going to parties where the main point is to drink yourself stupid. Chase's nose is still blocked up, I've been using the saline then trying to suck out snot and its worked a little bit but when he is sleeping he sounds like a pig LOL cute but I feel bad for him.

Hi guys, just a quick one to join in.
Re the bath, I was told to have one this week to help with the stitches etc.
All going well here, bored in here, but going to stay in hossy until my milk comes in, DH can't take time off work and I don't want to be an emotional mess and at home alone with MJ and bubba! Mum has MJ and they are both happy, so will stay for a while.
Also my butt is so incredibly sore, I am scared to have my first poo, the stitches are nothing compared to this!
DH made me smoked salmon bagels for dinner today and he got my hospital food, not a bad swap actually, private hospital food is pretty amazing, he even gets a beer!
Little miss is stirring, so got to go.
