Ooooh I worked it out - disregard my last post!!
Amy- Yay for Phoebe doing a poo, but bummer aboout the time and place. In answer to ur q's.
1- Yep Logan has thrush in his mouth too. He has it in the sides of his mouth, on his tongue, gums, and roof of his mouth. I tried Nilstat too, but it made it worse. I did buy some Daktarin, but havent used it yet, and it seems to be clearing up.
2- DTD, we have tried once, but yeah, it sorta hurt so we stopped. Poor DH.
3- I get a few niggles in the tummy, and the hooha area, but the gyno said everything had healed, so Im guessing its my body getting back to normal.
Naomi- Hell yeah Im for a catch up when ur over this way. Id love to come to Adelaide one day, but when the kids are older.
Nicky- Of course u can come over. Ur welcome anytime.
AFU, Logan power chucked out his mouth and nose today, the poor little mite. Then 5mins later, FIL knocked on the door, so I changed Logan, left him with FIL while I had a shower. He also brought lunch over, which was handy, coz the boys were hungry right there and then. It was good to have a shower without worrying about Logan being upset. He was a little bit off for the rest of the day, but is now happily sleeping in my arms.
Amy - E has the milky white tongue - MCHN said it was cos she's a bit of a chucky bubba and it's milk residue - when she's just had a feed and hasn't chucked, her tongue is fine so that's what i go on. i think it's mainly when it gets to the side of their mouth that it's a problem. she doesn't seem bothered by it. i do have some stuff here to use if it starts bothering her. i've been taking a probiotic to make sure i don't get thrush so i'm thinking it might help her...
we've had a grizzly little poppet this morning. not sure what it was that we ate yesterday that didn't agree with everyone but we've all been gassy little peeps this morning - but for her it has seemed pretty bad - we've managed to get her to release a LOT of wind this morning (and a few decent poops) so she's much happier than she was - but very tired - our night sleeper got one stretch of about five hours then no more than 45 minutes a couple of times. at the moment, she's laying in her swing, watching the animals spin over her head. and talking her little head off!
ooh, DTD wise - after the early morning feed works for us! not often, but it works... or if DH is going to work at night neither of us sleep real well when E first goes to bed soooo....
With the milky white tongue, I remember being told if you could gently scrape the residue off with your finger, it's just milk, if not, It's probably thrush. Hope that helps. We haven't had to worry about that just yet..... touch wood.
Allira had her first big bath with mummy last night. She absolutely LOVED it, so the baby bath is now the boys new beer bath. LOL No other uses for it as there will be no more kidlets born from this uterus. LOL
As for DTD.... I feel like a goose, but we haven't yet since I had Allira. I think the main reason is because we are super scared that I will get pregnant again, and if that happens, we wouldn't end the pregnancy. That little .1% chance of pregnancy related to all contraceptives is such a worrying number to us at the moment.......
Poor Hubby. He's just as keen as I am at the moment. haha.
Anyway, off to shower before the go karts get here and it's complete mayhem.

We have an appointment at the royal childrens on mon at 8:30 - I am so happy we are now on way to getting her hip sorted. Also from the brief phone conversation sounds like wont be pavlik harness but another type not quite so restrictive. I am making a list of questions so dont forget anything. I think we will now have to get pram as the hugabub might be too awkward but we shall see - we were going to get one at three months anyway.
Amy - I had thrush in my nipples but when doc checked CJ mouth she said no signs although it does look white - she said the same as Nicky about if can not scrape off is thrush. I was taking nilistat, and also just put a little daktarin on my nipples just really to make sure she didn't get the thrush.
Nicky - CJ loves having baths with me but haven't mastered doing it when just the two of us yet, I need someone to and her in and out - can you do on your own? Any tips?
DTD have managed a couple of times, as had c-section is just a scheduling issue that has prevented more often - oh and my parents staying with us for three weeks - now CJ is getting more predictable seems to be easier to fit in though - e.g. now I know that most times when put her down at 9:00pm she will stay asleep till at least about 3:00am.
I am going to sign up for platinum too, the site has been such a help want to contribute to keeping it going.
Amy - re DTD, we have done it a few times, either we are too tired, or Bailey decides its a good moment to cry ...............LOL. I think both of us have a pretty low sex drive currently. Bailey's tounge is more red that white, but after a feed its 'milky', the the 3rd - no issues here any more
Vic - you did well wth your one handed typing. Sounds good that the harness wont be so restrictive, what pram are you going to buy?
Bridg - Doh re the power chuck! Hope Logan hasn't had any more.
BG - does E have one of those jungle swings with the animals?
AFU - I am off to a triple baby shower for some of my IVF gal pals shortly although one of the Mums has pulled out as she has been exposed to swine flu - poor bugger, she doesn't want to expose the other mums to be incase she is infected, poor bugger. Tonight we are going to DH brothers house which should be interested as DH and his brother have had some issues in recent years (which the MIL has contributed to), and the BIL and family hasn't even met Bailey yet. Hoping it all gets sorted out tonight as there seems to be a genuine want on each side to mend the relationship - Yaaaaaaaahhhhh!
Bailey has settled back into skipping a feed at night - so he has a deep sleep for about 5 to 6 hours when we put him down, then reverts back to 3-4 hourly for the rest of the night, it means I have now gone back to having 2 nights where I am getting big chunks of sleep, and what a difference a good nights sleep makes

Naomi - i have a papasan swing for E - it has a mirror over her head with butterflys and leaves tht move when it's turned on - she seems to like it - not sure if it's the mirror where she can beak at herself or the moving critters though!!
not a lot happening here - she still has a tummy ache so after short sleeps she's waking up in pain and hates letting it go - it's definitely a work in progress to get her to burp - even farting is an issue today (sooooo not normal for my little fluffa bum!)
amy- j had thrush but it was more on the sides and behind the lips not so much on the tongue its finally cleared up
DTD weve dont it a few times but we keep getting interupted oh and AF returned this week so none this week and i was having cramps and pain below but thats gone away since AF returned

Well it seems everyone is getting inspired to go platimun, can't wait to see all the avatars! I feel this sight has been great for me too. I feel less isolated because of it but I am also aware that we have a really positive supportive group here. I went to visit the group due after me when I was still preg and you all had bubs and I really didn't like them.... Sorry that sounds so bad. but they just sounded whingy and negative. I like the fact that here everyone does it differently and asking q's is not considered rude or critical.. i can't count the extra bits of info or alternative ways of doing things i have learnt just by listening to you all. So :grouphug:
Vic- can I suggest a pram? We got the "baby jogger city elite". it is really cool cos you can fold it with one hand... thats what i love about it but I really didn't look at alot after we saw that one.
Jem is feeding feeding feeding! I have to pancakes for boobs! not sure what she is gonna drink for the rest of the night..?....
Can i ask a silly q. what does AF stand for? i get that it related to period but what do the a and f stand for.. same with DH. i get that that means husband but what does the D stand for..

Some of you already know this because I posted it on facebook, but, Kyson slept in his cot for half of the night last night for the first time ever. We have the cot attached to our bed with one side off, but up until now Kyson has been in the bed with us sleeping in my arms, and I've been using the cot as a bedside table with his nappies, wipes, dummy etc on it. But last night I thought I'd see how he would go if I tried to put him to sleep in his cot. He fell asleep feeding in bed, so I just moved over and slid him into the cot and tucked him in. He was a little restless, so I just lay with my head on the cot matress with him and stroked his face until he fell back to sleep. I was so sure that he would wake up upset after 10 minutes, but he ended up sleeping for 3 hours! I was torn between being happy that he could do it, but sad that he wasn't sleeping in my arms. After his feed at 2am I popped him back in the cot, but he was fussing for quite a while, so I pulled him back into bed with me and he fell back to sleep. If I had persisted with him in the cot he may have fallen back asleep, but I missed him! We might try a new routine where he sleeps in his cot for the first half of the night and then in bed with us for the rest for now.
Niadla - It's crazy how far we can squirt milk when we're engorged isn't it?! I find that it squirts even further when y breast are warm, like after a shower or bath. One time Kyson and I were in the bath and I called me DH in and said "watch this!" and I squeezed my breast and squirted the mirror from the bath, LOL!!! How fun are the big baths though?! Kyson loves to have a feed in the bath. The only problem with that is that sometimes while I'm feeding him in the bath he decides to do a nice big poo. Then we very quickly relocate from the bath to the shower :ROFL:
Amy - Thanks for your reassurance about how much Kyson is drinking. I got a little concerned when he only drank 100ml, but you are probably right and maybe he was having morning tea instead of lunch ;)
I can't help you much with the white tongue thing. I haven't experienced anything like that with Kyson. Does Phoebe ever drink from a bottle? A friend of mine's baby got thrush and they thinkit came from now sterilising the bottles long enough. My mum told her to boil them for at least 10 minutes rather than the 5 minutes that is recommended. But if Phoebe doesn't have bottles then I'm not sure...
DH and I have only DTD twice so far. The first time was a little painful (so luckily DH was quick because it had been a while, lol!) but the second time was a lot better. It's mostly a lack of time and energy that prevents us. Oh, and the fact that Kyson is co-sleeping. The times we have done it we have popped him in his swing outside our bedroom door (which is the study).
And lastly, I haven't been having gut problems, but I do sometimes get an ouchy bottom. I got some lovely haemorrhoids after the birth which thankfully were never painful or itchy. The only time I had a problem was when I went to the toilet for number 2's, and then it hurt a bit. Sometimes they still seem to pop out sometimes with number 2's, but nothing very bad. It's such an embarassing thing to discuss with anyone though. It seems to be one of those things that all women experience after a vaginal birth, but never talk about lol.
Naomi - Good to hear that things are "back to normal" :) I love looking at your photos on facebook. Such a happy little baby!!!
Bridg - Ewww, the power chuck sounds delightful! Poor little man. Good thing your FIL came over so you had a chance to clean yourself up. Kyson is not much of a chucker, but if he must I prefer for him to vomit straight after his feed rather than 10 minutes or more later. At least straight away it just smells like milk. The ones that come later have that lovely curdled look and have such a wonderful aroma, hehe.
BG - I hope little E's tummy is feeling better. Kyson had a period this after noon where he just keep farting and farting. I have no idea how he had so much air inside him! Hopefully you will both get a much better sleep tonight. E was starting to be a good little night sleeper, so fingers crossed she maintains the trend :)
Vic - Good luck with your appointment on Monday. It sounds promising that CJ might be ablet o have a less restrictive harness. And sweetheart you are right to be happy that you are able to fix it nice and early for her :hug:
Jacinta - I've just started putting Kyson in 00 tops. He still fits the 000, but I tend to dress him in a long sleeve romper and then put a long sleeve top over it. And I was finding that it was getting difficult to put the 000 tops over the long sleeves of the rompers because they were starting to feel tight on his arms. So now he's wearing the 00 tops even though they are a bit big on him. Our bub's are growing way too fast!!!
Bella - Thanks for the love you were giving us in this thread :hug: I tested the water in the thread for babies born the same time as Kyson, but it just wasn't the same as posting with you lovelies!
Hey all! I am loving your pics on facebook. What a beautiful bunch of babies. Love that everyone's catching some smiles too, they're so cute!! Krystie I particularly loved your shower pic. I haven't tried to take Ivy in the shower with me yet. I'm scared she'd get too slippery and I'd lose my grip! I also thought she might freak out with the water splashing on her head and in her eyes, but then we were forced to walk through the rain the other day and she just seemed really alert and surprised, but not concerned.
Bella I totally agree with you about this group. I tried the group associated with when Ivy was born too and it was fine... just not as good as this one! I'm thinking of getting a membership too. Not sure if I can afford to go platinum but really feel I should support the site. It's been amazing and I rely on it so much for all the little questions and concerns that crop up. AND for the great company!
Jacinta, i got AF last week too. Was so dissapointed as I thought I might get away with a few more months without it, but as soon as Ivy missed a couple of night feeds, there she was. Grrrrrr! When I realised, DH heard me swear really loud from the bathroom. He was so confused! At least I know I'm not pregnant! A week or 2 ago I had a few days of nasty nausea (with no other sick symptoms) and at one stage I thought "oh nooooooo... what if I'm pg"??!!! Oh I do look forward to the next one but sooo not ready yet!

About the possible (but very tricky) Vic meet-up.... Nicky you'd be coming in from the Calder - that's kinda north-west isn't it?? BG what road do you come into town on?
I'm guessing if it's going to work, we're going to have to make it close to the city so everyone can come in on the major arterials. I hate trying to negotiate the CBD - the traffic freaks me out. But maybe just outside the city?? Would be llooooverly to have a big mumma and bubbas picnic in the botanic gardens but we might be risking it with the weather. Guess we could always leave it to springtime and then have a 'plan b'.

Kat - i come in on the Monash Fwy from out past narre warren and stuff. i could probably head out to the other side of the city cos the traffic isn't too bad i guess. i have family in altona and friends out that way as well, so if needed i could probably crash a night at one of their houses so that E isn't in the car too long. she's not a bad traveller, but we've not done more than 2 hours (and that was with a couple of breaks) in a day so i don't know how she'd go doing the city and back in a day kwim?
she was such a good girl last night - we slept for 8 hours and i woke up soooo engorged i got DH to put her in bed with me so i could feed her - she had a little drink but refused to wake up for over an hour more. i'm still getting her to drain me! lol
gotta go - daddy isn't cutting it here either - someone wants a nappy changed and the change table is covered in folding. oops!
Bella - I too had wondered what the D in DH etc stood for, but had never asked! You learn something everyday.
Kat - Bummer about AF, no sign here - do you really only need to miss a couple of night feeds? I think maybe I would rather CJ continues doing 9 to 3am and then doing a feed than get AF back.
Anyone know how the mini-pill might affect AF?
Krystie - Amy - I also have some lovely haemorrhoids and I didn't even have a vaginal birth, apparently carrying a big baby around also can lead to them (I have had them in the past too so I suspect that contributed). The doc gave me the name of some stuff from the pharmacy which seems to be helping and taking Naturfibre everyday.
Naomi - The plan was to get a Maclaren Quest Sport when CJ hit three months - as is nice and light and narrow for the trams. Now not sure she is only 4 weeks off three months and pretty big - would it be bad for her to go in one now? It has 4 recline positions just does not go flat. Bella - I had a look at the baby jogger city one - looks great but not sure want a three wheeler and is a bit heavier than I want - the maclaren is only 5.5kg.
We went to footy last night - CJ was great slept all the way there on tram and for until half way through third quarter, when I went down to parents room changed and fed her - there is a TV in there so could follow the game (too cold to get boob out in stands) and then she watched the 4th - cried everytime Pies scored and loved the Hawks song. As long as we can still use a sling when she is in her brace will be going again to see Geelong vs Hawks next week.
Hi to everyone else - did anyone here anything more from Mrs BB - she used to post a fair bit in the due date thread?
Vic - I have just started putting Bailey in the seat part of our pram (last sunday being the first time) - it comes with a basinett attachment and a seat attachment so I can interchange, and the seat doesn't fully recline either. But I am using the basinett if we go out at night so Bailey can sleep, but during the day I have found he gets grumpy and much prefers to sit up as is then happily amused as can see whats going on around him - so he was 12 weeks and 5.1 kg when I started sitting him in the pram. Mind you I had to stick a little soft cushion behind him to support/surround him as in truth he is still a bit small for it. But he loves it and it works for us. How much does CJ weigh - she will probably be fine to go in the pram, even if she is a little small - perhaps try a little cushion or blanket behind her to help position her if needed? Its certainly not bad for her to go in it (not IMO anyhoo). I saw your pics of CJ at the footy - what a little Hawks girl, just too cute!! I am on the mini pill and AF returned at 7 weeks (hadn't missed any night feeds at that point, was still feeding 3 hrly at night)
Bella and Kat - I agree, I would be lost without our group, especially being home by myself so much more than I am used too - sure Bailey is here, but he is yet to respond to my questions/chats other than with coo's or giggles!! I also went into the group of Baileys birth date but it just wasn't the same. I guess we have all built such a bond through our pregnancies it was crazy not to continue it, I look forward to us discussing all our first birthdays, supporting each other as we go back to work, and through toddlerhood etc :)
Ooooh and Mrs BB (Brooke) is on facebook and I see her updates and photo's - looks like her and Talan are doing great
AFU - we enjoyed catching up with DHs brother and wife last night, they met Bailey for the first time and some family bridges were definately mended which felt great. I think that as Sean and I are now parents we can really understand them on a different level and even found that we have some of the same frustrations with the Parents-In-Law so it was actually good to have others understand those issues. Bailey was a great ice breaker (who can resist a cute baby) and DH was quite emotional driving home as he's been wanting to put these issue behind them for a long time and finally some real progress has been made. Now we just need to work hard to maintain the new found bonds.

Wholly bageebers Jacinta! Rolling already!!!! ARRGGH!!! He's a man on teh go that's for sure. I have told Allira there will be no rolling, crawling or walking until at least the age of 12 months. I want her to stay a baby forever, but she's growing too quickly!!!!!
Hi everyone!
Just a quick pop in. Been out all day. DS had his first ever swimming lesson today! He did alright... he's not too sure about the deep water just yet, but he did crack a smile by the end of the lesson, so there's promise. I am going to get Allira into swimming lessons at 6 months to try and avoid the fear of pools thing.
Kat - Yep North west, but I'm happy to go along the monash for a distance. I've done that plenty of times before. I'm not too sure about any of the roads off the monash, but I'm sure I could work something out. CBD will have me freaking out, unless I could train it down and walk a short distance somewhere. Other than that... I have no idea! haha.
I better go... organise the boy some dinner and send him to bed and Allira will be due for ome milky goodness anytime from now.
