Is this happening to people in other threads, or just this one? Maybe it has a bug, and we could ask for a new thread to be made if it is just this one.

Ok I think that last post worked!!!!
I am so busy during the day trying to entertain DS who turns 2 this friday and feed and play with Amaya, get dinner ready, do the washing, vacum etc that my day is just gone..then I jump into bed by 10.30pm at the latest so I get a full 5 hours sleep! We got a new mattress for our bed last friday so I am in heaven and it has helped my sore back immensley!!!!
I am up later tonight because I wanted to touch base with you girls!!!!!
We are breastfeeding and she has put on a good amount of weight..we had or 8week check up today..4.75kg and 56cm long. So she is a petite lil doll but in the 50th percentile for her weight so I am happy with that!!
Anyway got a busy weekend with the boys birthday party and its the long weekend so hubby is home for an extra day...yippee
xoxo
Leesha: sound like Amaya is doing wonderfully... My days are pretty much the same with clenaing, feeding, vacuuming etc. I am over that esp as it's school holidays time so the house is trashed until around 3-4pm when I make them all get in and clean it up.
Wow, 10:30pm in bed, gee I would die on 5 hr sleep. DH and I are both in bed by 7:30-8pm and me esp asleep shortly after I turn onto my tummy. I am so loving being about to sleep on my tummy again. YOu much be stuffed by the time you climb in?
Posting issues I had a heap of trouble esp since the change over, and it wouldn't let me log in, so I would have to rest my password about 4 times and this time I can get in and look around and post in other threads. Not a huge fan of the update....
Kate how are things? How was your last mothers group??
Hi girls i am around the kids are sick AGAIN including Tilly, it seems neverending and BL()()Y depressing. Where is everyone??? DO we have a new thread or everyone just busy?
Pam: That is no good about kids being sick... It's even worse when bub's gets sick or us 'cos there isn't much we can take to fix the problem esp when BF. Are you still comping Tilly feeds?
*Not sure I would guess everyone is busy... I have been waiting to for email but nothing, so I jumped on and check and you posted.
Things here still the same, Little Miss growning lot is not in mostly 00 which is so sad. She is hugh already and is only 3 months old. I could cry I want the little baby I brought home from hospital...
Other kids have FINALLY gone back to school... I hate holidays...
Anyway I better go I have been up since 5:30am DS1 has been climbing into out bed early in the morning 'cos of bad dreams.
I'm here too, just v rarely get long enough on computer to post. O is doing really well, down to just one o'night feed, so I think he's a champion, as DS1 took about 15 months to reach that milestone. Lots of smiles & gurgles which just makes me love him more, iykwim. Although no longer newborn, and we're also into mostly 00 stuff :(, I wish I had a baby pause button.
Pam - sucks that you guys are all sick again, there's some nasty viruses going round at this winter it seems. Hopefully you get through the worst of it quickly, maybe school holidays will help a bit. and roll on spring too - this winter weather is depressing.
and time is up again.....don't know how you mums with more than 2 manage - so much respect & admiration for you!
Has anybody else got AF back? Postnatally i bled for 6 weeks, I am breastfeeding 27 times a day (probably not that much but it feels like it lately) and bub is only 10 weeks today and it looks like i have AF.. WTF? that's only 4 weeks off. this sucks
kate: After little miss was born my AF lasted 9 days, then stopped, and then got a really light AF on the 20th of last month so am expecting them anytime soon now. It normally takes my body about 4-5 months to go back to normal. However we have DTD without protection but I don't feel preg, and I know they tell us BF is not a form of proctection, yet I never got preg when I was BF others, so I doubt it, AF should appear this week sometime. I am booked into get the IED wacked in on the 5th of July so I can't wait for that...
BG: I know what you mean about the PAUSE button. You think with how far we have come in history we would have found something... They only way I can think of it not feed them. But that is just mean, andLM would cry and I would give her boobie just for the quite. Not sure how mother's cope in 3rd world countries etc... thinking about the makes me sad.
I only find it harder when they are closer together. There is 6y8m between DD1 and DS1 & 2y7m between DS1 & DS2 and there is just under 2y between DS2 and LM. It gets full on at times, but I am managing much better with her and other kids since she has learnt to 'self sooth' her self. We don't have long cry times now, it down to a few call out then she just looks around her bed, and sum times talks to her self.
WE are also at the talking stage. She is only 3m and could talk the hind legs off a mule. She loves her play mate and talker to her toys then bashes them... But loves to talk alot esp with DD1. They boys annoy her, which I find funny...
GUESS WHAT EVERYONE... Today the cornus plaster goes up in kitchen and office... They wil be FINALLY finished. unless I have to paint then by the end of the week. It has taken 2y for kitchen and 4y for office... It was just finding someone to dit as DH would mess it up and I want it a 'nice' finshed job...
Well I better go I have to move eveyrthing out of kitchen so I better go. I hope you are all keeping well...
Cheers
Sarah, Yay on your cornus!
Also
AFM, doin ok. Bit blur at the moment.:
17th June 2010 - Smamfa's little boy has made his entrance!
I am so pleased to announce that Smamfa's little boy has arrived
Zachary Christopher Ocean weighing 8lb 2oz
Everyone is doing well
Kate - that sucks if it's AF back already, especially when the BFing is so intensive. For me, having a few months off is one of the bonuses of going through the whole pg thingie, and having your body taken over by other little peoples - so fingers crossed you're just seeing a slight aberration, and not a reappearance already.
Sarah - that's great that Kendall is settling well for you these days. And how cute is the talking - we don't get a lot of it, but we do have our moments. And we're playing the "if you stick your tongue out, then I'll do it too" game, which is adorable. I have to say that I am just loving this baby stage again, thought I might have been past it, but apparently not. It helps that O is a good sleeper overnight, and generally an easy baby, as long as he doesn't have a sore tummy.
Anyone know anything about pneumonia? - my nephew is in hospital with it, we spent a few hours with them last Thursday, when he was already a bit sick - I'm hoping that it's not overly contagious :crossfingers:.
MOrning all,
Wow, see that is wonder of life.... Congs Smamfa on the safe arrival of your little boy. He just wasn't ready to be born at the same time as our babies...
Kate: Thanks for letting us know, it so great to hear she finally got her baby, but sad 'cos my is hugh comapired to her little baby now. But I am over the sore stage something she would be going through...
BG: LM gets real talkative, and she will tlak to anyone who will listen to her. It must be a girl thing, 'cos I can't remeber the boys talking this much. She even wake some during the night or early morning when she has had enough sleep to talk. It's cute 'cos I turn light back off and she is still talking...
Yeah we got that tounge action happening too, it's so cute have you see how little it is... I have only got a few photo with her sticking her tounge out. Granted I have been a little slack in that department of taking lots of photo with her. Just don't seem to find all the time I need.
New GoalI am trying to pick up camera 3 times a week, just 'cos she is changing so fast. Esp when it's bath time. I've only got her first bath photo at hospital then DD took some in bath about a month ago... So more bath and naked photo's requried...
Well LM is taking to sleeping either through the night, and wake up at 5am. She goes down to bed between 6-7pm or she will wake up once now around the 2-3ish mark for a 5min boobie dream feed. She is so aleart now and looking around at everything. I miss the time when they first come out of hospital and all they want to do is eat. And they were forever looking for something to lach onto, to suck. DD let her lack on to her chin and got a hickie, DS1 noise was a target for awhile. But now we can see and just stick beak at everything...
I have a little chatterbox too! It's so cute.
Well, the germs have infiltrated our place. I had a minor cold last week, and then DH got the flu at the end of the week- i thought that he had the same as me but just thought it was the flu cos he is a boy. But then, i got the second wave and i feel shocking- achey, blocked up, sore throat..
My Little One has a runny noise, and is feeding heaps and heaps. She won't sleep unless she is being held or i lay down with her. Thankfully she had 2 good blocks of sleep overnight. She doesn't have a temperature so i just keep feeding her whenever she wants it. i have put abit of vicks on my chest so she can smell it abit when feeding to help her nose. I put her in the shower with me too, hoping the steam would help. Any thing else i should be doing?
DH working tday and we forgot to change the car seat over, so no driving anywhere tday. Think i might take the pram and walk into town. get stuff for dinner and post my thank-you cards for all the cool stuff we got for the bub. It should give bub a sleep too.
Sarah, DH got a hickey on his collarbone from bub looking for a feed early on. She also latched on to his nose.
take care,
K
Kate - hope you feel better soon, there are some horrible viruses going round at the moment
- I can't wait for winter to be over. I have DS1 sitting next to me, with his eyes & nose just streaming, and some nice chesty cough action too. Every now & then he tells me "Mummy, I'm really sick, I need medicine" - so I guess the man-cold genes kick in early... thank goodness for abc kids
I "think" you can get Vicks for kids, and I've heard that putting it on the soles of their feet can be good - might be old wives tale, but maybe worth a go if it does no harm? And the constant feeding is exhausting, but the best thing you can be doing for her. At this age they're still too little to be manipulating you, so if it's what she's asking for then it's what she needs
Kate: I feel for you... Man Flu is the worst things men can get it's worse then dying my DH reckons. Not that he has been close to dyi8ng be he reckons it would go pretty close.
You could get a vaporizer and put on, it is ment to help easy the congestion in the chest and noise. Euky Bearub is the same as vicks only it is sensitive on the skin. I wouldn't put vicks on bubs as it is known to leave burns on them. I dont even put Euky Bear on LM skins, I put it on her bodysuit near her tummy as it is still full strength. Thats just me though. I've got the vaporizer and I use it, but I don't see the benifts as the boys still up when sick. But I am putting that down to having the Y chro in them.
WEll I am exhuasuted and I am heading off to bed. me DS's had done me in today. Feel a little down today 'cos I am so drain. Hopefully will be better 2 morro as DS1 goes to kindy...
Nigjht all
how is everyone doing... I haven't seen any post in near 2 weeks I hope all are ok...
LM has had a rash all over her trunk and head. When I took her too the Dr, they told me it was a virual rash.
Apart from that she is sleep most night's all the was through... Am wrapped as none of the other ever started this early.
Hi Kids
Miss Daisy had her first lots of vaccinations yesterday, and slept all night. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. I told DH that if he wanted to have them done, then he had to research it and had to take her. Well, we both had to go (cos i have the boobs) but he had signed the consent form. I kinda know they are a good thing in the long run, but they scare the poo out of me. DH and i also got vaccine for whopping cough.
Below is my rant (highlight if you want to read). Feel free to ignore.
I am getting pretty angry at the moment re my birth. I went through the complaints process at the hospital, and when i reflect i think it's all abit of a sham, just going through the motions so they can say they did something. Never should have gone to hospital, at least not without an army to protect me. I'm sure some people have lovely hospital births, but mine wasn't. and i'm p1ssed about it. and p1ssed they don't give a rats that their 'patients' are being assaulted. Then when i asked for counselling because i am having difficulty sleeping and keep having flashbacks, i got an appointment at the psychiatric clinic- my understanding is psychiatry is for when then there is chemical imbalance or some physical cause that may require medication that is causing the issues and psychology is more based on behaviour modification and talking/counselling. My 'issues' are due to the actions of staff at the hospital, not any underlying issue that i have.
anyway, my little miss is just gorgeous. lots more character coming out. she smiles and giggles, reaches for stuff, holds on to me or my hand or my top when feeding. She is still a skinny minny but is getting long. Had to buy a couple 00 suits for nighttime, cos lengthwise she is getting too tall for the 000. still fits in 000 and even some 0000 if they are 2 piece or have no feet. it is so sad when little outfits i like have become too small and i have to put them away.
i have been playing with tie dye this week. she will be wearing the funkiest singlets ever!
ok, shower time
hi all,
things here are fine, however I am back to patting her bum or rocking her too sleep. Not really sure how that happened, but it's so draining, esp when it takes 20-35mins to get her too sleep. She has also stopped sleeping though the night. I knew it was too good to be true, but it is still only once maybe twice. She also has the snuffles ATM from DS1 gave it to her.
Kate I am the same but DH wont come when they get the needles. So I have too. She is booked in for her 4 months old needs in 3 weeks.
Where is everyone else gone??? Is it just me and kate now??
I'm still here will get in tomorroow to post some personals I have to say I hate this new BB and I always lose my posts.. part of the reason I don't come in much other part is I'm so busy I don;t have time!!!!! Catch you all tomorrrow. :)
It's being raining no stop here for last 3 days. So boys are stuck inside and driving me up the walls with there constant fighting. LM only having 1hr nap due to boys being so loud. DS1 goes to kindy today so hopefully she will get more sleep. DS2 has playgroup today so we wont be so confinded...
LM could talk the hind legs of a dog... She will talk to anyone who will give her 2 seconds.... She is also starting to giggle, it's SO CUTE...
Hi Ladies
Glad to hear everyone is going great guns with there bubbas! I have been so slack not getting on here, but to tell you the truth computers have just been boring me lately. I have been out and about rather than sitting on my computer.
Lucas is still my dream bub, he sleeps from 5pm till 2-3am then bottle and back down till 6 then up for a bit and back down within the hour for another 2 hours. Its unreal. I just wish that his 4yr old sister would get her act together, she will not sleep in her own bed STILL.
Lucas is a chatterbox like your bubbas, he is adorable when he squeals, and gurgles. He sticks his tounge out as well and claps his hands if you do it. He has definently been here before. He loves his baths, I get a sore back from holding him up though, so I have to cut them off after about 15mins. He would stay there for hours if he could. Our household has had the colds as well Ive had a cought that has lasted for over 6 weeks driving me nuts, but thankfully bubs has managed to avoid it.
On a personal note my periods are back in full force I got them back after 6 weeks of giving birth. Sex is still off limits for me, hubby doesn't seem interested, ****s me! Anyone else having those dramas. Im going to go get him some viagra if I have too.
I dont have anymore news, but Im stoked that everyone is well xxx
Morniong Bec,
DTD in this house was back after about 2 weeks. and was about once a week thing. Then I went completely off it, but now my sex drive is back I am still scared to fall pregnant again. So I am making him uses rubbers, until I get My mirena put in next week. No more babies in this house, Iam getting to old for it. I want to be a person again and not just a mum and milking machine... if you get my drift.
My DH is normally like yours, but if you ask him I just take advantage of him all the time. I have to if I want it... He pretends he not interested until I get ready to jump off half was through then he asks what I am doing. "I'm done". her respone was but I'm not... "my response well you shouldn't just lay there, put some effort into it next time" and has since come around.
Kendell slept though night again last night and woke up at 5:30am. She got up for an hr, then I put her back into her bed awake and she has a grizzle for 5 mintues then gives up when she realise mummy isn't coming in to rock me to sleep.
I also had a little trouble with DS2 and DS1 climbing into our bed during the night. I however get back up and that them to there bed, just 'cos I always end up on the edge when they get in. But we haven't had any visitors of the last 4 nights.
DH has brought me circut machince for my scrapbooking. I have to pick it up 2morro, as the lady want to give me a basic run though of how to get it to work while will be great. I have been on eBay shopping for the cartridges which are like $20-40 USD I have got one as cheap as $5, here they sell for $75-125 it's unbelieveable to amount a shop mark's there prices up at... I will be buying ff ebay from now on, unless I want it now..
Oh also brought a bike trailer, to hitch to the back of my bike so LM can come for rides too. She is still a bit too little to sit in baby sit on bike, so DS2 can sit in there and little miss can go in trailer she can even sleep in there. So I can't wait to break the Bikes back out...
How is everyone else doing
We have had a lovely day today. Miss Daisy slept well overnight and we got up around 7.30. She had a go in the rocker while i got my brecky. We played with some toys (lots of giggling) and then she and i jumped in the shower. Got out, both got dressed, Daisy had a drink and then went back to bed at 9am. DH and i cleaned the house up and then Daisy woke up around 10.30. A mate arrived at 11am and bought fresh rolls for lunch. Daisy giggled and played and then had another feed and went down for a sleep at 12. We had lunch and cooked some bikkies whilst she slept until 1.30.
Another friend and her 2 little kids came by around 3 for arvo tea. Daisy had had such good sleeps today so she was pretty happy. She had a feed and a catnap on my lap whilst we were chatting. We all went outside for abit and watched the two kids chase the chooks and then 'dig for treasure'.
After they left, Daisy had a bath, massage, book, boob and bed. DH cooked a beautiful tea whilst i was getting little miss ready for bed.
My little one hasn't been sleeping much, if at all, during the day and today she had 3 sleeps! And she was so much happier for it! Monday and Tuesday she only had one 45min sleep in 12 hours.
I feel so much better having those times just to clean up or chat without having to hold her or check she is ok. i love her lots, but also need a break.
Love the idea of a bike trailer! I think the tracks around here are probably too rough though, and i don't about riding on the roads with a bub. Might wait until bub is big enough for a seat.
My little one loves her baths or a shower. We are still using the baby bath and sit it on the kitchen sink so it is not too bad on my back. The water cools down pretty quick so she prob only gets 15 mins too! We are finally getting our bathroom reno, they are starting in 2 or 3 weeks and it will take a couple of weeks to finish. We will then have a big bath so we can have baths too!
I have had nightmares and difficulty sleeping since the birth and they think i have PTSD. I have made complaints against the hospital too. Hopefully all that will settle down again and i can just focus on the future.
take care
Wow I havn't stuck my head in here for awhile and boy has the group shrunk!! I really just don't get on the computer as much now, having the two kids has really made me busy! Amaya is a dream baby, booby feeding and sleeping great! We have only been getting up once in the night at around 2-4am for a feed and thats it since about 3 weeks old! We have had nights where she has slept thru but not consistantly yet! But I know that she can do it so won't be long! We have made it to 3 months without a dummy and she won't need one now...I am stoked!
My two year old however is another story....as soon as he turned two a month ago he has became a monster!!!! Well not a monster but just testing me all the time!!! I am emotionally buggered because of him...I could have ten more babies no worries but ten more two year olds would send me to the nut house!!!!!! I hear 3 is actually a worse age....yay something to look forward too!
So I am here and will try to pop in a bit more often...glad to hear who is left is doing well!!
Has anyone stopped swaddling and using sleeping bags or anything else yet? I am experimenting cos her hands are constantly in her mouth and she is fighting the swaddling so might be time for the bag to come out!!
Kate: Is sounds like you have a lovely after noon. If only every day could run as smoothly as that. I am impressed that your DH cook's Dinner. The best I've seen my DH do was toasted sandwhiches last night.
Lessha: LM is has the same sleeping patten of a night. During the day not so much dependings if her brothers are home or not too. I hear you on the terrible 2's. Just wait until they go to kindy, DS1 has found attuide...
On the swaddling/wrapping issue, LM wont sleep a good sleep if she isn't wrapped. However staying that all my other children didn't start to get unwrapped until they were 11-12months.
WEll not much from me, am over the 5am starts though, better go the 3 of them sound like they are ready to kill each other and LM is so over tired she is carrying on...
Hi guys, just wanted to know if I can join you guys? Havent been on BB since before my little monkey was born, would really like to chat to other mums with bubs the same age.
So a little about us, Nath was born via emergency C section but since that bit of drama he has been a wonderful bubba, we had some trouble with feeding and he stopped taking the boob at about 8 weeks old, since then I have been expressing his day time feeds and giving him formula for his 2 night feeds (6pm & 10.30pm dream feed) I am really lucky since 8 weeks he has been sleeping from 7pm till 7am and sleeping around 4hrs during the day.
So am going to go back and read through your posts, am looking forward to chatting to you all :D
Morning Rach,
Glad to have you aboard. There is normal more poeple stopping in, but with (starting to ) moving babies it make this hard.
I'm Sarah, and have 4 wonderful (at times) children. My LM was born on 6th April.
Anyway welcome to the group hope we can chat heaps about our little ones growning, laughing, rolling, sickness etc.
Sarah
Thanks Sara, wow 4 I'm suprised you can find the time to jump on here and chat:)
This is our first so am glad to have some other mums to chat to as some days I'm not sure if things are normal or I am doing the right thing  but I am very lucky as I have a very good bubba
I'm still around. Not sure what my little one is doing. We were doing no day sleeps with maybe a couple of catnaps if Mum was lucky but sleeping well at night. In the past week, we have had some good day sleeps in her cot (instead of the hammock), but now she is playing during the night. Not sure which is better!
The bathroom reno is definitely happening. They prob starting in a week or two and will take 2-3 weeks. Not looking forward to the building but looking forward to the spa when it's done!
Rach: Your welcome. Yes I can still manage not alot of time, but I do get on her now and then. The 2 older children are at school, and the 2 little ones are at home. I am sad to say yes I let the TV babysit my DS 2 while I am running around cleaning the house and doing DH business paper work etc. There is no right or wrong way, it's what works best for you at the time, and it will change.
Kate: I find thoughs days the toughest... So that is when little miss goes into her bed to grizzle/cry. Granted I don't let her get worked up, but there were days she would carry one for 45mins. Now thank god she has got in her little head "if mum puts me in here I might as well go for a nap,
'cos no matter how much I grizzle and call out for her she isn't coming back in until I have a nap". Now she is a dream to put down.
Granted she is still in her bassinette, and I plan to get as much out of that before I move her to her cot. Only 'cos she is the last and I wont be having another one to fill the bassinette again... :(
Well best be off we have commuinty ohouse today, DS2 loves it, and it gets me out of house and talking to other people. just waiting for sheets to finish is washing machince so I can hang them out before I go.
Have a Lovely day to all...
 Kate sorry to hear your having sleeping troubles, those days are tough just when you think you have it sorted they change again.
Sarah even though DS is only 4 months he loves Sesame Street so I sometimes put him in his jumperoo to watch so I can get some housework done
Hi ladies, just checking in :) taking Nath for his needles tomorrow not looking forward to it but DH is on holidays atm so will be easier with him there
Rach, hope all goes well tomorrow. needles suck!
We have a jolly jumper thing here, your previous post reminded me - might get it out tomorrow and see if my little one likes it.
My little one had a 3 hour sleep this morning- bliss! We then went to a BB meet today at a play centre, and I also got a letter from the hospital so it's been a pretty good day. When we were at the play centre, Miss Daisy had a poo-splosion. I went to change her nappy but had to remove multilayers. I had spare clothes in the car, but the bag i had brought in only had nappies & wipes. SO, i just took everything off, changed the nappy and then put just the clean denim overalls over the top, bib back on & took her back out. Then i wondered if that made me a bad Mum!
Yay for sleep Kate :) Glad you had a good day. Gotta love those poo-splosion's all sorts of fun for everyone especially in winter when they are dressed in a million layers.
Hi
Just checking in to see how everyone is going. Hope your little cherubs are healthy and letting their Mums sleep.
take care
Hi girls, my little pudding is sitting here next to me starting to stir so this will be short..Kate i hope the hospital came up with some answers for you?? Did you ever put what went wrong in print here?? I am on so rarely these days I would have missed it for sure...definatley not a bad mummy..number 3's are so unexpected and come at the worst times..I never carry enough clothes these days so on occasions have had to mop up and make do..never quite as big a disaster as you have had though.
Did you get the imms done in the end..I broke Tillys up into 2lots so it was'nt as much strain on her kidney ( it would have been okay I think) I just felt better that way!!
Sarah I hope all is welll at your end...are you super busy (ier)now that your little miss is a bit older and sleeping less.. man i have so little time for anythign other than the kids at the moment.. I am looking forward to next year when i have 2 at school..hopefully I wuill be able to spend more time with the little ones and do some more play type things..at the moemnt they get dragged to kinder/school , shops, kindy/school pick-ups, swimming lessons, playdates and then when we are at home they get to sleep so there is barely anytime for play.
Hi Rach...(((((waves :))))))))))
Tilly is doing great..soon to go for our 4mnonth check up but she will be over 6kgs, she is getting chubby and long, just put a bonds size 0 suit on her and it fits nicely..I can't remeber if I told you her kidney nuclear medicine test showed she had no function.. which is better than having a tiny bit..cause that can casue high blood pressure..she was a real trooper cause thye had loads of trouble geting the canula in ( even tried her ankles???) after attempt number 6 thy got it in her arm..I was so close to taking her home and telling them to shove there test.. I am still BF and comping but not for much longer, she is starting to get annoyed with me (just too slow and not enopugh and is starting to refuse me) except at night in bed, then she likes it..she has taken to waking up between 2am-4am for a feed.but goes straight back to sleep and usually sleeps to around 7am-8am,unfortunaly for me DD nearly 2 is waking about 5am so I don't get back to sleep very often these days..and I am ssoooooo tired...whinge whinge..
anyway enough about us.. Hi to everyone else sorry about my long absences..I have too much on my plate and have been taking some time for me in the evenings, ebay and long baths when the kids are in bed..
Glad Tilly is doing well :) she is such a little trooper. Know how you feel about the breast feeding and comping we were doing it here as well but at about 8 weeks Nath started refusing the breast all together and up until last week I was expressing his day time feeds but have just stopped as it was taking me about 2hrs to express enough for just 1 feed instead of 3 like I had been previously so Nath is now on formula :( He has also started on solids as he has more than doubled his birth weight - he now weighs 9kgs so :o
Hope everyone and their bubba's are doing well, I am off to enjoy some sunshine with the cheeky monkey :hello:
Afternoon ladies,
sorry I have been MIA, DH brought me a Cricut Expression machine for my scrapbooking, and I have gone abit over board with buying cartridges from US. They are so cheap compaired to buying them here from $66-125 each. I got 5 for less then $125. I know I must stop. I have also being trying to get DS 1 birthday invitation done with it too, but I keep changing mind on how I will do it. I really wouldn't like other mum's to think the same as I did when DS1 was invited to a party either on in year, and the little kid sent Homer Simpson with a Beer in hand out to a 5yrold party.
My pop died of a heartattack last sunday so I had to fly up to the funeral. Oh what fun that was(not). I wont go into it, but alot of waiting around in airport then driving 3-4hrs down to Ulladula. Hey fun times. I am so glad to be home.
Took all kids today an hr drive to office works to get new laser colour printer. The one we have is huge, and I wanted to make get a little one(compact) so now DH has to hook it up when he gets from the farm. I went and brought it so only fair he hooks it up.
Anyway some personal...
Kate: LM has always since birth poo-splosion. It's very rare if she doesn't. Non of my others were like her almost every time. I only take one change of clothes with us. And if I run out will just buy another suit depending on how long out I will be but if not long then I will change her nappy and leave her in bad clothes until I get home then change.
I didn't get to read your hospital storie either, yet I know when I had a bad experience with DS1 I made complaint after his birth they only told me they would talk to the midwife in question and didn't hear any more back. Not good enough but not alot else I could do. I hope you go better answers.
Rach: My LM goes for her 4m old needs on Wednesday and I am not looking forward to it. Gee, he is early starting on solids. Me I am holding off as long as possible for 2 reasons. 1 'cos she is my last and I want the baby as long as possible and 2 'cos I don't have much time to maker her own food up. DS2 (no3child) just had what we had only preed up. So I might do the same with her. We are having pumpkin soup tonight, so I might give her a try she is watching us eat, and I know that is a sign.
Pam: Yeah am going fine, kids all still alive so I haven't had much time to self. Normal when I am on Ebay I have LM on lap. She still has 3-4 naps a day. Most naps with last 2-3hrs. And her late afternoon nap (after3pm) is normal only an hour. But getting plenty done.
We are the oppiste here. My day is organised around the children and their actvities. Monday DS1 home from kindy so we do my stuff like shopping etc on that day, or walking to town. We have play group on Tuesday the home for a day nap for both. Wednesday DS1 is home again so my stuff or walking or playing out in back yard etc. Thursday we have PlayGym then home for a nap, and Friday is community house. So I do lots of things with the littlies when the 2 older children are at school. I am some time too buggered to get much else done.
Well I better get going esp while LM is alseep. Oh LM is also trying to roll, she get on her side and gets stuck. Other wise she can turn her self around in a circle on the mat.
I am also having issue's logging in to BB. Not impressed, I've had to reset password 4 times in last week.
Sarah sorry to hear about your pop :( Sounds like you have a lot keeping you busy
It was a little early for solids but he was watching us like a hawk when we were eating and making chewing movements, chewing on his bottle :)
Rach: Yeah have heaps to keep me busy.
Yeah LM is doing that, she didn't really like pumpkin soup, but I will slowly introduce her to food over the next 2 months as well as BF her.
Hi all...well hi to the small few that still pop in here!!
All is well here on the home front! We are having needles this friday and had our 4 month check up today. Amaya is chugging along nicely, breast feeding is a dream and probably seems like it more so cos I exclusively expressed to feed DS for the first 9months due to his cleft lip!!!
I ended up getting a Wrap Me Up which is just a cotton interlock sleeping bag. So fits really snug and they are able to have their arms up abouve their head and hands are covered. So she sleeps way better not being swaddled. In bed by 8.30 and sleeping till around 2-4am having a feed and back to sleep till 8am. So I feel nice and refreshed to tackle the days with my two year old as well!!
Me...I am just busy doing day to day things and not getting much time on the computer. I really prefer the old bb layout and I have logging in issues to so I just give up!!
I'm not doing the solids just yet. I waited to 6 months with DS so I will do the same with Amaya. Everyone has their own way of doing stuff, you just have to be extremely careful of allergies when you start them this young and watch they are still getting the right amount of bmilk or formula or their growth will be affected along the track.
Well off to watch a bit of tv and then bed!
Talk soon
xoxo
