Meg- Em didn't like the rice cereal but loves the baby porridge, maybe try that? I usually put in some pear or apple and she wolfs it down, its her best meal.
Is J's paed early or late Nov? So not to long to wait now. Maybe it does relate to being unwell?
Ali- hope it clears up soon. Yeah I've heard of that esp with kids of rashes after virus's. Thats happened to Ash before but her rash's haven't been all that bad to look at.
Sending sleepy vibes to all our bubs! And ourselves!
-
Either Miss J has a tummy bug or she's not ready for lentils
The poo-splosions have continued all day. I'm not sure how but more is definitely coming out that has been going in. :shakehead:
-
i just lost it :( millie has been screaming, DH is a knob and im over it and tired, hes away tomorrow and im not sure how im going to cope if this happens tomorrow night, ive set up the lilo for me to sleep on tonight with millie
-
 Jols, our girls must be in synch! I have been up with a grumpy Miss J too. The poo continues and her poor bottom is soooo red.
-
Nai- I cant believe I am going to say this but we need some poop over this way. Its more pear for DD today. She hasnt ben for 3 days now.
Jols- you poor thing. I have nigths when I have lost it too. It is so hard on minimal sleep and when no one is helping out. Hope it gave DH a wake up call!
Her rash is still quite bad today. Hoping it will improve through the day
-
no poo in 36 hours either here
ibad night she settled in our bed for a few hours, we didnt sleep, then i got her into her cot at 4.10am and DH got up at 5.30am so not much sleep at all,
nai i hope j's bum improves
ali hope th erash goes today too
-
Jols - I totally know what you are feeling, and being on your own is tough. Honestly most of the time lately I have been more like a single mum. It is tough. Do you have family that maybe you can offload one kiddy to so that you just have the bub?
Nai - I hope the poos settle down.
Ali - Is Ash itchy?
Shell - E didn't like to porridge, but I bet she would if I put fruit in it.
-
millie has a virus, ulsers on her tonsils :( poor chook, glad i took her to the dr's cos at least i know there is something wrong
-
Awww  for you and Millie Jols. I hope she gets better. We have all had a bad run with sick bubbas and kids lately. I gave Ash half a jar of pears this morning with her toast. Might do the other half for dinner. Hopefully we see a poo soon just not as much as Nai has seen!!!
Meggie- How is DS today? I sometimes feel like a single mum as well, or like my role as the SAHM (even though I also work 2 days a week) doesnt entitle me to a break or a sleep in. :dunno: when I will ever get one of those!
Shell- Hope the girsl slept well for you. Ashlyn is the same with the farex. Hated that but loves the rafferty's porridge and I often mix half a jar of puree apple or pear in with it to make it even sweeter.
Ash had her first tast of milk arrowroot biscuit on sat. We were at my uncles house and i didnt bring anything for her and they asked me if she wanted one, I thought it couldnt hurt and she loved it! Will keep that in mind if we are ever having a melt down at the shops!
Back from hossy with DP. The surgeon doesnt think he wants to do the surgery as where it is there is a major nerve that is right where he would be shaving the bone and he said there is a really high risk of DP losing feeling in one side of his face and possible blindness! WTF! Anyway we go back in 3 weeks to see how the fractures are healing. I guess we just pass this info on to our solicitor as the surgeon was like you may just have to live with the discomfort as the risks from urgery are very high. Guess it will be up to DP.
Hope everyone is having a good day
-
Ali - can u get a second opinion?
AJP - sorry 2 here M has virus - hope she gets beta soon
Alex is monster baby - DH had 2day off work because i'm not coping, and dh bought me flowers- awww
-
Malyna- I am do glad to hear that your DH has been there for you and bought you flowers. That is so sweet. :) I hope this little monster phase Alex is going through ends soon for you
-
Malyna- thats very sweet of your hubby, must've brightened your day. Its great too that he took time off to help you out, I hope A settles down. Is he unwell at all or a phase?
Ali- so what exactly was the surgery they wanted to do? Is it desperate enough needed to take the risks? What are the odds of it happening? Sounds bit scary.
AJP- Poor Millie, at least you know why she is upset now. Hopefully won't take long to clear up, guess there isn't much to do for it except panadol or some pain relief. Hope your getting some rest, sounds like you need a break.
Bought myself some new clothes today, woohoo, nice to buy myself something for a change, all cheap anyway all the sales stuff at k-mart, got t-shirts for $4. Bargain!
I hope we all get sleep tonight.
-
Shell - I would loive some new clothes! I still have about 4 kgs to lose.
AJP - Well at least you know now why she has been so unsettled. Poor little Millie!
Ali - Gosh your hubby has been through a lot. I hope he is ok.
Malyna - I am pleased that DH is supporting you. i really hope that you feel better soon.
J is still not well. He was a MONSTER today. Gone back to all the terrible behaviours, like screaming at strangers when they try and say hello, and just not listening to me whatsoever. I too am coughing AGAIN. And again DH is at work and I am on my own, putting 2 kids to bed, one howling while the other wants a feed. E fell between J's bed and his dresser tonight. There was a pillow there but obviously I didn't put it is tight enough. While I was reading J a story, she rolled and fell. She was wedged down there. Was a little upset, but not overly and didn't have a mark on her. Not good though. I will make sure it won't happen again.
-
meg- sounds like such a rough trot atm, so hard on your own with the 2 esp if J is playing up. When that hubby of yours has a day off next leave him home with the kids and go out for the whole day! Go see a movie or something.

Wow so much chatter!!
Well I think a group hug is in order...everyone seems to be struggling with some issue or the other!
L is doing well with solids, I'm so relieved! For breakfast today he had avocado and pear mashed together, for lunch he had sweet potato and lentils and a cruskit to snack on afterwards, and for dinner he had avocado and green beans. He's having water from his sippy cup after each meal and has seemed to cut down on the bfs during the day. He still feeds constantly over night though
Shell, I'll get back to you on the scootababy as I haven't used it for long periods of time yet so I don't know how it will go (comfy I hope!).
Don't know who asked about crawling?? L isn't even sitting up yet and no where near crawling...doesn't even attempt to! He is teething though, 2 bottom teeth are out
Anyway, don't think I'll make it to the baby expo this year - no time and no $$!!
Sorry for no personals, there's just too much chatter to catch up with! I am reading it all and will post again tomorrow hopefully :p xox
-
Holly- Ditto on the group Hug and catching up with the chatter!
We are having a bit of a rough trot with L at the moment still feeding constantly although have mangaed to cut the overnight feeds to 2 or 3!! so that is good for us
My DS & DD have the sniffles at the moment and I can hear L coughing atm, seems like he has a really sore throat..
No crawlinmg here either, can get around really well by rolling & dragging his body behind him but just can't figure out how to launch himself forward in the crawling position.. he does this flying thing atm where he flaps his arms and legs really fast as if the faster he does it he might just take off!! By the way Holly L still can't sit up either just topples to the side or almost bends in half!!
Sorry I have not posted in a while I have been reading but just can't seem to keep up. Will try to do personals tomorrow..
-
