Hi Teagz,
Not sure what you mean by food aversions. do you mean that your little one won't take your milk after you've eaten eggs?
I've found that coleslaw goes straight from me to DD, resulting in lots and lots of extra wind, but haven't found that she won't take the boob as a result of anything I've eaten.
Darcey has been really unsettled the last two days. She won't sleep during teh day, unless I'm holding her, and then only for 15 minutes maximum. :shakehead:She is exhausted, as am I. Oops, I can hear her crying already.
Got to go, take care everyone,
Petal

I haven't noticed anything I eat affect DD yet *touch wood*
petal, does coleslaw have cabbage in it? I have heard cabbage is a big one for giving them wind!
-
When Alice was a couple of weeks old, I ate some chili con carne, she was then unsettled for awhile after it. I havent had it since.
We had needles yesterday. My poor little girl cried a bit. She was a grumpy girl last night too.
Petal- We're the same. Alice is not having the best of times during the day. She wont sleep well at all. However the last few nights she has gone 930-530/6 ish and I am just about ready to explode. Hopefully it is just a phase and they go back to having some sort of naps.
Wow where has the last 2 months gone?
-
Hi everyone
How are you all going?
I have been flat out with study and the 3 little ones. William is going great, had hes needles on monday and he was great with them but a little unsettled for 2 days afterwards. He put on over 1kg in 4wks lol
with the food thing, my DD got really unsettled when i ate choc! I know! NO chocolate for a whole 11mths she fed for :( bad lol i havent found anything with william though.
hows everyones feeding going?
HUGS :) xox

Hey ladies havent popped in for a while.
Hope everyone is well :)
Havent really noticed anything in particular that makes sebastian windy, but he is a windy baby! Not sure what else to try to keep it under control....hopefully it passes once he can sit up.
Feeding here is going really well just had a night of 2hrly feeds :o so feeling a little tired this morning....dont know if it a growth spurt or because i expressed some last night and there wasnt much left when he went to feed? Who knows hopefully tonite isnt a repeat of that! Having trouble getting him to take a bottle of ebm at the moment as well.
How many times a night is everyone feeding?
-
Caroline had been sleeping right through from 8.30pm to 5/5.30am but the last two nights she has woken up. night before last at 1am and then at 6am and last night at 3.30am and then i woke her at 8am to feed her! Minny - every 2 hours... how frustrating and tiring for you!!
she's so unsettled today, not sure what is going on. she's feeding, happy for 5 minutes then grizzly and tired again. we're off to the MCHN this afternoon, maybe she thinks i'm going to return her hehe I think she's probably put on a stack of weight this month - she feels SO much heavier.
harleysgirl - you're studying as well as having 3 little ones, I don't know how you do it!! i feel SO lazy.
-
harleysgirl, I admire you on the studying with 3 littlies! I don't know how you do it!
Minny - the last 2 nights DD has been feeding at 9:30pm and then 4am, then 5:30am. Before that she was feeding at 2am as well (and the occassional midnight feed). It's nice of her to go a bit longer the last couple of nights even though I still had to get up to DS as well.
Feeding is soooo much better this time. DS fed every 2 hours around the clock plus I was expressing in between - I was a zombie!
-
Hi Everyone,
Hope you are all going well and enjoying your beautiful bubs!! I've been MIA from BB over the last month, But hoping to get back into the swing of things soon!

Hey there ladies... we made it back alive but BOY was it a long trip.
I must say Princess Zara aka Miss Piggy was PERFECT, i couldn't ask for a better baby, on the flight from melb to Brisbane she fed on take-off then slept the rest of the way, she woke at the airport and then fed on take-off but stayed awake for the rest of the journey to Hervey Bay... she LOVED staring out the window.
We went for dinner on the Friday night, she stayed awake and laughed and played with everyone, slept for a bit then decided enough was enough she wanted a feed and bed.. but that worked well it was like 10pm and i was ready for bed anyway.
Saturday we went exploring with my dad and stepmum, she ate, played and slept then was due for a feed right as the wedding was meant to start... BUT... my princess stayed asleep til the end of the ceremony and fed when everyone walked away to do pictures, she then fed just after i ate dinner and then had a bit of a look around then slept for 3hrs in the pram with the music blaring...
Sunday we were MEANT to fly from Hervey Bay to Sydney then on to Melb but our flight was cancelled and we had a 3.5hr BUS TRIP to brisbane and then had to wait for a flight to Melb, i was up from 5am and got into Melb airport at 10:30pm  on the bright side i have a credit to use with virgin within the next 12mths.
I am very very proud of her and i miss A so so much.
I haven't had her needles yet as didn't want to do them right before flying so have to go next week... on the feeding thing she is pretty much every 3hrs during the day and IF she feeds at say 9 or 10 she's going anywhere til 3 or 5am.. BUT the last couple of nights she's fed at about 1:30 then again at 4:30 etc.
Harleysgirl - what an awesome weight gain.. go mumma and keep up the great work with the studying... SUPER MUM
lindsaymaree - nice to see you back
Hope everyone else is well.. sorry no full on persies Ava wants the computer... lol wish this child didn't know how to CLIMB... hehe
-
Zarava what a good bub you have there!! I took Austin to an engagement party the other weekend and he ended up losing it halfway through lol! We also had his first plane flight, and he was an angel! He fed on the take off and slept the rest of the way and through the landing *phew big sigh of relief*
Our feeding's going great guns at the moment, Aussie's been sleeping from 7.30-8pm through to 6am the next morning :o:o:o so we're basically letting him feed as often as he wants during the day. DP generally gives him two expressed morning feeds if I'm at work and then he'll feed every 1-2 hours in the afternoon.

Minny - dont you just love the whole feeding every 2 hrs stage. I would say its a growth spurt and your little one is upping your milk supply ready for his next stage :) Your milk should be producing as its needed so expressing wont make you run out of milk if that makes sence :) I expressed 100mls yesterday and fed straight after with no problems. Williams sleeps from about 7pm to 5am so he doesnt get fed at night lol
Zarava - WOW you must be exhausted after all that travel! glad to hear the girls were good for you :)
Me and Study well lucky im studying something i love to learn about lol I have 3 births booked in this yr which will finish my doula course :) very excited, 2 of them are at the same birth centre i had william at! love it!!
I love the breastfeeding study! so interesting.
-
Eluned - your DS sounds much like what my DD was like she fed every 2hrs and we were expressing as well due to breast refusal i hear ya on being a zombie...thankfully with DS its been pretty cruisy.
Wow i cant believe how many babies are "sleeping through" as in those big stretches of sleep.....how do i get one of those :p Seb usually does one big stretch of 4-5hrs and then 3hrly after that.
Harleysgirl - thanks for the info didnt think the expressing would effect his feeding yesterday was 2hrly feeds during the day as well but it seems to have settled back down now thankfully. Now to try him on another ebm bottle...still no success.

Hey girls
Im here just been slack and havent posted
Milly is an angel by night...devil by day
She goes down for the night around 8.30 and sleeps until around 4 or 5am and back to sleep until 7-8am and then the fun begins :wall::wall: she needs to be held or is cranky...she naps for maybe 10 minutes at a time as soon as she is put down she wakes up  it makes it very hard to get anything done lol bought a swing yesterday so at least i got to eat my dinner in peace lol
The girls both had to have their needles on Monday it was very sad Milly was unsettled for the next day just needing lots more cuddles
Im surprised atm about Millys looks I was kind of expecting her to look more like Lucy but is very different looking and has grown some impressively long black eyelashes and her hair is getting thicker and looks very dark and I think she will be tall. Lucy is very blonde and average hight for her age...they are both very beautiful but ;)
DH is off to my dads bucks night tonite so me and the kids are going it alone lol
Ive dribbled enough for today...ive been able to because mum is here with an armfull of milly
-
Lindsaymaree - wow what an awesome sleeper you have there, hope he keeps it up for you.
Harleysgirl - i was mentally exhausted at the airports etc on the way home but otherwise i was ok, it was an amazing trip and i got some time to myself to even have a nap when Z did, i haven't had a NAP since before A was born.. well unless sick etc.
It's great your doing something you love, makes it easier doesn't it.
Tasha - Go Milly... well except the devil by day part
It's hard not to compare them in looks isn't it.. both A & Z had lots of dark hair born, A's is now light brown and curly at the back, she has a chubby face and big blue eyes... Z has a longer thinner face but the same big blue eyes.
Awww 2 needles at the same time, Z got hers yesterday...
AFM - well we are recovered from our trip last week and back to the normal everyday routine... almost forgot what the time to myself was like
Z had her needles yesterday and i got the whooping cough booster.. OUCH my arm is still aching, Z was a little unsettled last night but then ended up feeding at 11:30 and sleeping through til just before 7
The girls and i are going to catch up with BG today, can't wait to see her then coming home as DP's cousin is having a BBQ here (technically it is his house) so have some more tidying to do today b4 i leave... YAY... NOT
FEEDING is going great, she's generally every 3hrs during the day (sometimes 2.5 or 2) and then anywhere from 5-7.5hrs over night.
I think she's starting to get the hang of FEED, PLAY, SLEEP as she normally takes about 45min to feed, then plays for about 20-30min and then gets a bit sooky and into bed she goes. I think thats ok isn't it, just over 1hr awake and about 1.5hrs asleep?
I can't remember what A did, she fed every 4hrs so slept a little longer i think.
Sorry long post, hope everyone is well... i love hearing how all the lil ones are going.
-
Hi guys. Sorry it has been so long since I have posted, I just can't seem to find the time! I am very impressed at how some of these bubs have been sleeping, I can't believe how many of them pretty much sleep through the night now! DS has a 5 or so hour stretch each night and I think that is amazing for this age, especially compared to DD who hardly slept at all!
We are going really well, DS is just adorable and I am totally in love. DD has been lovely lately and is sleeping through the night now, so I am feeling very well rested for a mum of a newborn! We had DS weighed the other day and at 8 weeks he was 5.54kg and 59cm long. He has started giving us the most beautiful smiles and it makes my heart melt!
No time for more as DS has just woken. Hopefully I will find time to pop back in later!
-
party of five - have you tryed a sling? That way you can have your hands free and she is being held as well
Had DS weighed and measured on thursday and hes 61cm long and 6.2kg @ 9 weeks so the boob juice is doing its job
-
Sounds like all of the babies are doing well too. We have our checkup on Friday at 9 weeks old. DD2 is 5488 grams and 57cm long. She has also turned into being impossible to settle during the day. So much so that we are getting frustrated. I know (hope) it will pass very quickly. With DD1 who at 2 doesnt sleep during the day it gets interesting in the evenings.
DD2 has minor hip displasia. The GP at her 6 week checkup said her legs were not symetrical so sent us for an ultrasound. They found the dysplasia but think it will sort itself out. We have to go back for another ultrasound in 6 weeks to check it. They do it at the Childrens hospital and when we were there, I was so thankful that I have 2 healthy children. Its a depressing place.
Bun- Maybe you have turned the corner with C. Hopefully her sleeping can continue to be good.
Party of 5- Our DD's sound the same with the day sleeping. God I hope its a phase.
Zarava- I am jealous of your trip. A getaway would be nice.
Ok off to keep 2 kids occupied.....
Hi everyone
-
DD had her check up thursday of last week and was 4500grams and 57.5cm so she's grown 7.5cm in 9 weeks! the MHCN rechecked again because she was surprised she had grown so much. She is doing well over all and sleeping well at night. For the last week she has woken up once during the night but last night she was so overtired from the lack of sleep in the afternoon so crashed from 8pm to 6am!! her afternoon sleep seems to go by the wayside because if she does go to sleep i have to wake her to go pick my son up from school and has had enough of a nap that she doesn't go back down until right before i bath her (like right now!)).
she also won't sleep when we go out so i tend to avoid it because I seem to pay for it when i get home and the next day! i keep telling myself she'll get better at it as she gets older but because we live so far out we can't just duck up to the shops (takes me an hour in travel and transition to get to the 'big shops' so by the time i get there it's almost time to feed her again). that's my only bother though so I can't really complain too much!
has everyone else joined a mothers group? i keep asking my MHCN but there hasn't been a new one started. she said last week that it would be this week or next but i haven't heard anything yet.
jenjams - my cousin just started working at RCH and i think that would be such a tough gig.
Minny - that's some awesome gains your son has had there! well done
anyways, i best go wake this baby girl to give her a bath, feed and then back to bed again and hope for another good sleep tonight :D
