Babies born~January 1st-15th 2010 #2

Minny- DD2 still wakes 2 to 3 times a night :wall:

DD1 is very rough with Milly she always walks past and gives her a quick sneaky bop on the head or take toys off her...DD2 gets her own back but always grabbing a handful of DD1 hair when she gets a chance, I think we are going to be in for fun times ahead :rofl:

we have got DD2 a trike thingy, the ones where you push them and she is getting her own dolly as she gets in trouble for stealing DD1s

Milly is still just sitting but she finally got her top two teeth...thats 4 she has now :lol:

Phew - i'm actually relieved to hear that some of the bigger kids are a bit cheeky and rough with the little ones. I thought it was just mine!

minny, DS2 is awake at least twice at night. He sleeps from about 7.30 until 6 (when the house gets noisey) and he wakes usually once at about midnight and once again a few hours later. Not too bad I reckon, but a big change for me seeing as DS1 slept through from 6 months old. Ahhh, bliss :)

ZF - swings, that's a fab idea. We only have one fisher price type one, so I think a double swing is the go. Maybe they can have a new pool too. Their one is a bit little for two.

PO5 - they sound just like my two! DD can be quite nice and gentle with DS but other times she is horrid and will hit him, sometimes on her way walking past him and for no reason at all! But DS also gets his own back by grabbing her hair - he has had her pinned down several times and all she can do is call to me for help! I must be a mean Mummy - I think it's funny!

DS is doing great, he still only has two teeth but he is into EVERYTHING!!! He crawls soooo fast now and climbs on everything - I can hardly keep up with him! He still wakes at least once a night and sometimes up to four times grrrr. It seems I was not blessed with good sleepers as DD was the same. Other than that he is going great though. He loves his food and has a lovely little nature - very smiley and happy all the time, although he has hit bad separation anxiety and won't go to anyone other than DH and I.

I can hardly believe our little ones are nearly one!

Morning Ladies (Just!)

Just quickly popping in... I have been lurking ^^; Seems everyone is going great! Can't beleive all our little babies are going to be 1 soon *sniff sniff*

We're all going good! Jack is into everything as they all seem to be, and is starting to find his feet. I'm excited and nervous all at once! DH seems to think he'll be walking by christmas but I'm not sure... He's a litte unsure when it comes to taking steps still... but we will see in good time I guess!

We are starting to get somewhere with sleep. Once 8 o'clock hits we have been going into his room, in the dark and quiet with no distractions and we both stay in there til he goes to sleep. Whether it be by booby or cuddles, I don't care ><; He is usually out by 8.30 but I'm aiming for have him go to sleep at 8. Mind you 8.30 is a damn site better than his 10 oclock bedtime he was making for himself! When we get him off to sleep this way, he usually only wakes up once at night for a max of 20 minutes and will sleep thru til 8-8.30 in the morning. I like it, it works for me, as it would XD

what is everyone planning for first birthday celebrations? we are just planning a gathering at the lake/park and have everyone bring a picnic lunch and let any kids run wild in the park while the grown ups help celebrate the fact that we survived the first year hahaha looking forward to it.

we had a very rough last half of 2010 so are happy to move in to 2011 and all the good things that will come from here. Happy New Year ladies! :dance:

We are just having a little family party for Milly the day before her birthday...have no ideas at all what to get her its so hard having them so close to christmas and also with being so close to DD1 it feels like we have everything already.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all the gorgeous LO's for the next 2 weeks... can't believe they are turning 1 already.
No plans here and i hate it, we did a massive birthday party for DD1 and she had a decent 2nd birthday and i am really annoyed that we can't do something for Z at the moment.
We will prob do lunch with DP's nan, mum & sister at his nans the day of her birthday but otherwise no plans, my brother and dad might come visit...

She's getting the jumping zebra thing, dr zeuss set of books and i might try and find something small to wrap for her aswell, maybe a cd for her room or a dvd as DD1 has LOTS of toys etc and they just spent some x-mas money on clothes.

Hope everyone has enjoyed their first yr with the LO's.. i've loved every minute... (well mostly :p)

Yay, so many birthdays now :) Happy Birthday little ones!!

illyena, we did a bbq early dinner at home in the backyard with both sides of the family and a few mothers group friends. It was easy although it was a hot day (36 degrees!).

it's meant to rain and storm on Saturday (not that you'd know by the gorgeous week we have had) so am so unsure if we go ahead with Caroline's picnic at the lake birthday and just have it at home which I don't want to have to do because of the lack of room but also coz it adds further driving for our guests and we already live a fair way away. anyways. here to that cooler front holding off til later in the afternoon or evening is even better! :clap:

How is everyone going, hope everyone is safe & dry.
It's been pouring down here, we got something like 70mm in 2 days according to our range gauge, DP emptied it mid morning yesterday and by last night it said we had 15mm again.
It's rained all night and i haven't checked it but the creek is def up and if we get the rain they say today i think it will flood again, we will be safe though as we are at the top of the block.. i just can't believe mother nature right now.

How are all the little ones going, who's walking?
Z isn't yet but she's cruising furniture and letting go of things and walking behind her bikes and things.

we had her MCHN appt yesterday
W: 8.22kg (10th%)
L: 76.5cm (75th%)
H: 45.3 (50th%)

So she is tall but skinny (wish i could say the same), very active little girl.
She's talking a lot and when the MCHN asked how many words i said i don't know maybe 10 :o she looked at me and said "really" and she said most 1yr olds say about 3.. obviously there are exceptions and they all learn at different rates but i hadn't realised... i could talk under water with a mouth full of cement so i know where my girls get it from.
My favorites at the moment are APPLE and she looks for the apple, there she is after you say where is Zara and she plays peek a boo and SIT DOWN.. :rofl: she told Ava off for standing on her chair and yelled SIT DOWN... :rofl:

Hi I am new to BellyBelly...I hope you don't mind me joining her.
My little man was born on the 14th of Jan 2010, he is my 7th bub.
He was due on the 28th April but decided 25 weeks was long enough baking :o
He is still tiny at 5.5kg and has some weight issues but he is a very happy healthy baby.
He is commando crawling and just starting to crawl on hands and knees.
He loves standing but can't quite pull himself up yet...he looks so cute standing he is way to little to be doing it...he is going to look funny when he walks. :lol:

ZF, walking and talking!! Go Miss Z! Your girls are just gorgeous L.

Amelia isn't walking yet, just cruising along the furniture. Although, she does love holding my hand and walking along next to me, so I don't think she will be too far off from walking on her own. We had her checkup last week and she is still little at 7.86kg so just sitting along the 3rd %ile on those charts.

How's everyone else doing?

Our MCHN appt was last week. Alice is 9688 grams (50% line) 74.5 cm tall (50th line again) and has a massive massive head at 48cm! She is starting to cruise and walk behind a pram. She babbles in her own language constantly and says about 5 words but tries and copies the sounds of words we say to her.

We are still bf here at twice a day and she now usually only has a good sleep in the middle of the day only. She reckons one sleep is enough but I still tink she needs 2.

Thank you Jenjams no no more. The last 4 have gotten early each time (36, 35, 28 and 25 weeks) so really I don't want to risk it.

Maxx has just started pulling himself up to his knees and he wants to stand constantly. He looks way to tiny to be doing it...he is my little pocket rocket.

Wow its been ages since i posted in here!! I hope everyone is going great! Happy Birthday to all our not so little bubbas!

Welcome Rainbowbrite :) and im gonna say it aswell....wow 7!!!! :D

Freya is great, she never stops!! apart from half an hour when Toybox is on :lol: but then shes still dancing around! She started walking on Christmas Day, and now shes running, climbing, and unfortunatly diving...into the floor.... :( She tries to go faster then she can, resulting in some not very nice stacks :( last week she had a black eye! it looked terrible!! Shes not saying any clear words yet, but has her own works for things. She is however very good at following directions, and know what alot of things are.

Shes very good at eating, shes a little foodie :p she has a small sippy cup of milk with brekky and then another a night before bed. She very determined to feed herself! shes not very good at it yet tho lol, but she tries really hard! shes got the action of the spoon right, but just hasnt masterd getting the food onto the spoon.

We had a CHN appt last monday and she weighed 10.5kg and was 77cm so is in between the 75th + 90th percentile.

Cant really think of much else :) sometimes I have a bit of a hard time with her, shes so independent. Tanty's are a big part of the day and it seems we cant do anything without one! whether its a nappy change or strapping her into the high chair, she protest. She isnt the slightest bit clingy which gets me a bit sad sometimes, she couldnt care less whether she can see me or not, shes off doing her own thing. But I guess its just her personality and every bub is different! She isnt really into bubs her own age, and can be a little rough, shes must more interested in the bigger kids.

Hows all the other bubs? How are you mummys coping with stacks and tumbles? or it is just mine who is trying to give herself a concusion?! XD

We are all going well here, im back to studying and part time work on top of that keeps me busy ;) Enjoying the adult conversation though. DS is walking and running around as well, not to many words but hes getting there. Loves playing peak a boo and can chuck a tantrum like no other :rolleyes:

Milly is crawling but not walking yet she doesn't say much but I just think she is a late bloomer :lol: she still wakes 2-3 times a night so I feel like I've been tired for the last 14 months :lol:

Going well here too. Amelia is walking and talking. She says mum, dad, cat, more, uh-oh, no and doo-dor (her word for booby :rofl: )

She puts on a shy face for strangers and is such a mummy's girl but when Daddy's home she's all his. She races to the front door when he gets home from work. So cute. She's still a booby girl, having about 4 feeds during the day and a couple overnight. Gets tiring at times, but it's all good, co-sleeping helps. I still haven't got AF back yet :o I've been feeling like she's coming back for the last month or so but nothing yet, figure Amelia will have to night wean first.

So glad to hear all the LO's are well, i can't believe how quickly they are growing up.

Z has 2-4 feeds a day, basically when she wakes, before bed and then randomly through the day if she wants/needs.. it's pretty funny now as she actually asks "BOOBIEs, BOOBIES, BOOBIES... PEASE" :rofl:

We have a little chatter box on our hands here, but she has to be to keep up with DD1 & I, at the moment we have a list of over 30 words that she has said regularly and are basically understandable... she's going great guns with the speech :)
She counted to 3 the other day with MIL and then did it on her own.

I honestly don't think DD1 was anywhere near this quick at the same age but i might be wrong.

Wow ZF, Z sure is talking a lot!! DS doesn't really say any words yet, but he babbles a lot. He runs everywhere and totally cracks me up - he is a real livewire! I am loving this age - he is so cute and a very happy little boy. DD was (and still is!) a handful so I am really enjoying having an easier bub. He mostly sleeps through the night, waking at around 5am for a feed and then will usually go back to sleep for another couple of hours. He still feeds about three times a day, sometimes two which I am happy with.

Laranna - whereabouts in Perth do you live? We have recently moved back to Perth from Victoria and are living in Attadale at the moment.

Hi lovely mums :)

I can't believe that some of your darlings are talking. A just points and grunts - a lot! He runs around like a mad thing and climbs up our fort and hurls himself down the slide. He's very physically capable - but he's not that smart yet, and gets into lots of scrapes.

A got chicken pox while we were in NZ. Poor thing. He was sooo miserable for about 5 days before the spots came out and then we finally knew why. Thankfully L never got them, and neither did the other children we were holidaying with.

Po5 - ditto. I've been tired for 14 months too. I'm not happy about it either, but i'm not prepared to do CC or anything, so i'm stuck still doing night feeds. It's a PITA because this whole house gets up at 5.50am, so there is no such thing as a sleep in. I used to think that people who said their child wasn't sleeping through the night was doing something 'wrong'. How wrong was I??!! I don't tell people who ask, because I am sick of hearing how 'he doesn't need it' and 'it's just a habit' and 'you made a rod for your own back' blah, blah, blah!! I guess I was just really really lucky with my DS1.

Oh i hear ya on the tired thing. DS has never slept through in all his life lmao, we still do at least 2 wake ups most nights its 3 though! I keep telling myself he wont do it forever......right?!

Bun, I'm in Ballajura and hopefully soon to be moving, we just have to get our act together and stop procrastinating about whether to buy or build :)

I'm hearing you all on the tiredness. DS who will be 3 in May still wakes up during the night. Usually he just crawls into our bed. But at the moment he is going through a monster stage so is getting scared of monsters in the dark! DD has 2 feeds a night most nights but she is a real wriggler and just rolls around the bed between me and DH, throws her arms and legs around. Some days I hold out on her morning nap so she and DS will have a nap together after lunch which allows me to have a nanna nap too!

DD is 15 months today and still no AF. It's great in some ways but in others I just want to know what my body is doing!

Are others of getting asked when you are having number 2,3 or whatever? Gosh, If i had a dollar for everyone who has asked when we are having number three, i'd be rich! And why do people assume we 'need' to try for a girl?? I love my boys, and i couldn't care two hoots that I don't have a daughter. Some people have no idea how precious children are, no matter how many you have or what gender they are! They aren't just a numbers game; there to satisfy other peoples expectations.

Yes Lenny! I'm constantly getting asked if we are going to go for number 3. It's getting tiring now as it feels like that's the only thing people want to talk to me about!

I keep getting asked when are we going to try for a girl! Annoys me as makes me feel like I should not be happy and blessed to have 2 boys.

I would love a 3rd and if I had my may I would be preg allreday but DH does not want a 3rd child.

I get asked if we are going to try for a boy, the funniest part is we say "why would we", both girls LOVE motorbikes, cars and adrenaline things aswell as dressing up in girly clothes, camping, fishing, barbies, playing in mud.. we have the perfect balance right as it is now :p

No more babies for this little black duck...I think 7 is enough :lol: especially as a single mumma!

My little man stood on his own twice today for the first time...I was so excited :D
He looks so cute doing it as he is only 6kg and he looks way to small to be standing!

We havent been asked alot if we are going to have more. Hope to in a few years though after i have finished studying. We do always get "why would you want more you have one of each" that peeves me off but anyways people always like to add in there 2 cents ;)

I don't come on BB that often any more. Great to see our 15 month olds are going great guns!

We are quite happy with 2 kids. I do sometimes think it would be nice to have a boy in the mix but that is really only a fleeting thought. 2 kids are plenty for us :)

AF returned on the weekend. Can't complain though seeing as I only had 1 AF in between DD1 and conceiving DD2. BF ended just after DD2 turned 1. Very happy to have made 12 months of feeding too.
She wakes most nights and we get lazy and just throw her into bed with us. No walking yet but, she has been standing very steadily for a couple of months. I think there is that initial scardness of putting one foot in front of the other.
Thats all from us. Now I am on the fitness bandwagon to finally get rid of this weight!

Hi everyone, it's been very quiet in here, how is everyone going?

We took Z for her 18mth MCHN appt last week so she's now: 9.23kg and 80cm tall, so she's on the skinny side but average for height - the MCHN puts that down to the fact that she's so active.
She's so funny now, she tries to copy everything that A does and follows her everywhere. the MCHN commented on the fact she's a 2yr old wanna be.
She is ahead for her speech, closer to 2+ and is already forming 3-5word sentences - the funniest part was the MCHN walked in while A & Z were having a conversation about the library.
A: it's not library day Zara
Z: I want to go to Library

MCHN looked at me and said was that A or Z, i said Z and she started laughing. :rofl:

She wants to copy A on the potty so every now and then when she takes her nappy off she screams POTTY and wont get off it, she wont wee on it but atleast she's not scared right... no pressure she's still quite young.

so whats news for everyone else, how are the LO's going?
How are they all going with food, Z loves her veggies but at times can be quite fussy with other foods, she's enjoying helping me 'cook' and lovesn rolling out our home made pizza dough :)
