Nawww i bet he had a blast at daycare!
We have 1 tooth and 2 more cutting through at the moment! Poor bubba! Then to top it all off she was jabbed with needles today! Cried for 5 seconds and has been sleeping since, fingers crossed she isnt too grumpy this arvo!
Laila is doing to back and forth rocking too, its relatively new in our house tho only the last few days shes worked out she can do it hehe. She does comando drag herself around the floor lol.
We turned our car seat around too finally so L can enjoy the car ride a bit more, so far so good!
-
Miss L is a clever little thing! with lots of teeth too... hmmm I wonder when H will get his? I think they may be close now but I've been saying that for a while LOL
Daycare went okay.. he as a little grizzly when I got him and apparently quite clingy and wanting to be held all the time. I think his teachers might have they're work cut out for them! We'll try again on Thursday
H LOVES facing forward in the car and they just look soooo cute!! I love it.

Hi Girls,
Rach, I've just weaned lexie off the boob, I did it really slowly though, over about a 4 wk time frame, slowly cutting feeds down, to tell you the truth I never experienced any uncomfortableness so I'm not much help sorry. Lexie still doesn't have any teeth either.
Sorry for such a short post, I live in Cairns & have only just gotten power back on since cyclone Yasi. I was bloody terrified of the cyclone, especially when it looked like hitting us. We were very lucky but my mum lives in Innisfail & my aunty, uncle & cousins live in Tully & my mums aunty lives at Mission Beach. We were very worried about them down there. Lucky they're ok. It's been so hot without power & Lexie has broken out in a heat rash.
-
How scary Leigh! Was thinking of you and Jodi during the whole thing!! So good to hear all of your family are safe, have you heard from Jodi at all?
Poor Lex with the heat rash not much fun at all!
Laila has been so sooky the last few days, im wondering if the amber necklace i bought is real or a fake...i got it off ebay hmmm

Hey girls,
How's things? It's quiet in here. We're doing good. Lexie finally got her first tooth yesterday....bottom left tooth. She'd been whingy the past few days so I thought that must've been why. Silly me forgot to put her amber teething necklace on her. DD2 still wears hers & found it really helped her with teething. Lexie is also starting to get up on all fours & rock back & forth. I'm hoping she won't crawl for a while yet, seeing as she's my last bub I want her to stay a baby that bit longer. Although DD1 was a late crawler & never crawlled til a couple of days past 10 months. DD2 crawlled at 8 months.
I'm a bit annoyed at DH at the moment. He works at the casino & when he left for work last night he had a spare shirt with him, I asked why & he said if it's raining when he finishes& he gets wet he can change. I believed him. I got a text at 5am saying he'd just finished & on his way home. I hate when he finishes late coz he sleeps all day & i get no help with the kids. Anyway I was using his mobile this morning & found out he'd finished at 2am & stayed out drinking til 5am, obviously what the spare shirt was for. I just went in & woke him asking what time he finished again, pretending I wanted to know so I knew how long I had to keep the kids quiet & he still bloody lied to me. It just annoys me coz it's hard enough keeping kids quiet all say so he can sleep but when he purposely stays out & doesn't tell me really makes me mad. Sorry for the vent!!!
-
Leigh, vent away, dh's can be so bloody frustrating sometimes.
How is everyone? Its so bloody quiet in here these days!
Tehya is doing well, she has 2 teeth, we didnt even know she was teething, lol. she has just gone into the cot in her own room, which has been a bit traumatic for me to say the least, since losing our angels i have found that i am soooo over protective :(
-
Hi Girls,
Yes it's very quiet isn't it?
No teeth here yet. Lots of rolling, and food is going down very well. I was going to ask how often you girls are breast or bottle feeding if bubs is having 3 good meals a day? We're still doing 4-5 bfs a day (plus 1 or 2 overnight) as well as 3 square meals. I feel like Ted's eating all the time! Needless to say I'm feeling pretty drained, too.
JLK how is Tehya doing sleeping on her own?
Leigh feel free to vent. I would be really annoyed too. My DH is getting on my nerves lately too. They seem to have the knack of being very annoying at times. I think my tolerance levels are particularly low because I'm tired!
Hope everyone else is well x

Hi, I am new to this thread. Just thought I'd stop in and say hi. My DD, Amelia, was born 26th July 2010. Thought it might be nice to chat to other mums who have bubs the same age, maybe make some new friends? =)
First thing I would like to say is... where's the 'pause' button? She's growing up so fast! My little baby isn't so little anymore. She's becoming miss independent already at only 6 1/2mths - wanting to feed herself (sometimes), holding her bottle (for Daddy only, not for mum!), saying 'Dad dad', sitting up by herself, reaching for things and even screaming when she doesn't get what she wants (huh oh).
-
Hi Nel, a big welcome to you & Amelia to our group. I'm looking forward to getting to know you both. I know what you mean about wanting a pause button. My bubba Lexie was actually born in June but was due on the 22nd of July that's why I've stayed with this thread.
Jlk, how's tehya liking her own room? I don't blame you for being over protective. I'm a bit the same myself.
Queg, I stopped breastfeeding just after Xmas so lexie is on formula now. She's on 4 bottles per day. Her feeding routine is a bit like this: wakes up around 7am & has a bottle then when I get home from the school run in the morning she has breakfast, then around 11.30am she has another bottle then her big sleep for the day. Then another bottle around 3.30pm - 4pm, then her dinner at 5.30pm then a bottle before bedtime around 7.20pm. I haven't given her lunch yet as I can't really find anywhere to slot it in but she is quite content on the two meals & 4 bottles per day. It's hard having DD1 at school & being rushed in the morning & not being able to give lexie breakfast until we get home from school.
-
Amelia was due 22nd July too, but as you can see from my sig, she was 4 days late.
-
Lexie has her second front bottom tooth. I didn't even realise lol. She's been wearing her teething necklace so I think it has helped. DD2 always wore hers & I reckon it helped heaps.
-
Hey girls, welcome Nel!
Well, my little over achiever is crawling!!
Hope everyone is cruising along nicely, its so so hot here today!
-
Well done Laila for crawling. Cupcake, now the fun begins.....getting into everything etc. She's growing up too fast!!
-
Amelia got her first tooth yesterday =) Very excited!
-
Nel, how exciting about Amelia's tooth. Lexie got hers last week & her 2nd tooth a few days later, I will miss the gummy smiles though, but the tiny teeth are so cute.
-
Hey all,
Welcome Nel :) I know what you mean about a pause button, I wish Tehya wold slow down.
Speaking of the little devil, she is now comando crawling all over the place, talk about mischief. she's going well in her own room and is just about to get her next lot of teeth
how is everyone else going?
-
Hi girls,
Jlk, Lexie is commando crawling too. Think she gets a bit frustrated sometimes coz she wishes she could go faster.
I'm sick with a cold at the moment, thanks to Lexie and DD2. Hopefully i get over it quickly....my nose is so sore from blowing.
How is everyone? Hope you're all well!
-
We are going well here, L is quite speedy with her crawling & has just discovered some very high decibel screams which is fun lol. Loves standing too!
Its so quiet in here.
1st birthdays are going to approach so quickly!
