Babies Born~June 16th-30th 2009 #1

Hi ladies,

Been a long time since I've been on here. Everyone is going so well.

Noah has been driving me CRAZY today! He hasn't had much sleep and was so tired, but he's also started chucking temper tantrums when he doesn't get his own way. Tonight I was trying to feed him and he ate half his dinner then started trying to grab the spoon. When I wouldn't let him have it he just cried and screamed and refused to eat!!! So eventually I gave him a spoon and let him try and feed himself. I snuck some spoonfuls in while he was playing around. Sometimes he'd notice me putting food in his mouth and so he'd spit it out and scream and cry again!!!! Little punk! Eventually I just gave up and let him play with the food. It was seriously driving me crazy. Is anyone elses child doing this or just my little brat!

Tara, I'm feeling your frustration! Sophie was going really well with her solids, but the last 2 or 3 weeks trying to get her to eat more than a few mouthfuls at a time is a challenge. Dinner is the most trying meal at the moment. Most of the time she flat out refuses what we give her or throws it on the floor - much to the delight of the dogs aka the cleanup crew who are usually watching through the screen door! Or there's the I don't like the way it feels incidents or the I'll have a chew but then try and pull it all back out of my mouth. Argh!

I thought it might be teeth related at first, but now I'm just putting it down to her being a fussy cow really lol.

Hi Girls, My son Leon will be eleven months on 18th May 2010. He is also seeing a dietician as he only weighs 7.69 kg and is 69 cm long. He started out 8 pounds 12 ounces (3980 grams). The pediatrician has done tests and nothing has been found to be wrong. He is just a very busy boy. He wakes up around 7.00 am and he doesn't go back to sleep till 7.30 pm. He sometimes has a 20 minute nap in the morning and afternoon. The rest of the time he is on the go. So off we went to the dietician and he has to put cream and cheese in his food to try to get some weigh on him. His bottles have also been made richer and he has morning and afternoon tea. I am also dealing with him spitting his food out and playing with it. Must go the boy is crying. Regards Eloise.

Eloise - Leon sounds just like my DD. She wakes up around 5.30 and if I'm lucky we will get an extra hour sleep if I bring her in bed with me, then she is on the go til she goes to sleep around 7.30. Occasionally she will have a half hour nap in the morning and/or afternoon or will sleep if we go for a walk or a drive. I think she weighs around 9kg and is about 75cm long - haven't had her weighed since her 8mth MCHN appt!

tobias is doing alot better he Is sitting up but the problem is when he has had enough he doesnt just rolled over or anything he flings himself back and will move the pillows away before he does, so i cant leave him like that but walker wise he is moving forwards alot and cause he so tall he can stand up without the walker supporting him but when ya catch him he will sit back down lol, he can do so much and i just wish he would keep doing them without being shy or what ever is bothering him. he is rocking on his knee's too another good thing too!
food wise no lumps still, hates them but my oldest was the same reffertys 6 months + vegies and heinz custards is all he wil eat, getting him onto pumpkin spinich and ricotta but he is slowly taking to it hasnt choked badly but being such a worry wart i wont let it get that far, lincoln used to choke badly and just the thought of anything happening to them scares the hell out of me, i wish i could be a brave mummy lmao.
saw doctor on friday he's happy with toby and said he's just lazy, his size does amaze him cause he started out 8lb 12 and half oz and now 11kg or just over, and his reflux has been settling down abit no throwing up as much so he is very pleased doing everything right and just to let him do things in his own time, and to stop listening to the people picking on him. doctor said very healthy happy baby should be proud of ourselves. toby doesnt really nap either only cat naps here or there, other days when he has woken up tired he will sleep a couple of hrs but my older son never sleeps so no naps for me

I'm so jealous of everyone who gets to sleep past 5.30am. Both DH and I get up for work at that time, and Sophie has decided to make that her wake up time as well. So thoughtful of her to align her body clock with ours :rolleyes:

Ok, I'm going to quickly have my first official Mummy brag...

Sophie is officially a walker! Since Sunday morning I've only seen her crawl maybe 4 times, only after she's fallen on her bottom and wants to get somewhere fast. :D

Hi Eloise, welcome!! There isn't much between our boys :D Tristan is 7.2kg and 70cms (was 3090 born and 50cms) e's starting to see a dietician too, which I don't see the need for but anyhoo...

Tristan has 6 teeth now :D

And today he was discharged from physio!!

I'll BBS for personals, dinner time!! :D

erin woo-hoo sophie! DD took 2 steps on her own yesterday but seems happy holding on to the couch and walking that way or crawling. She was showing off a bit last night to DH, holding a drink in one hand, the other on the playpen and walking towards him.

sally great news about Tristan being discharged from physio!

how are first birthday plans going? We are now going to have a bbq at home, will be interesting having a barbie in the middle of a Melbourne winter.....

The 1st Birthday's are getting too close, too fast! We'll more than likely end up having a bbq at home too for Sophie's. I probably should get my act together and organise it...ah, next week sounds good...
DH and I are stuck on ideas for presents though. I think I'm going to request that Grandparents don't buy her toys, (especially not stuffed animals, her room is a zoo!) and suggest books instead.

Hi everyone,

Haven't been in the forum for a while, busy adjusting work/baby/home as I am know back to work fulltime. Grace has been in day for the past 1 month and hates it :( She barely eats and also fell sick last week, we decided to move her to another day care starting next week. Let's see how it goes.

Grace has been standing when holding on to things for a while now, but not actually standing on her own. She's ok with solids, always grabs the spoon and bang it to the bowl. She becomes very clingy recently and throws tantrums when she doesn't get what she wants - showing her true self already :)

Birthday party - maybe pizza and pasta as backyard not big enough for barbie and the parks will be too cold at this wheather. Any idea for birthday bag for the kids?

Guess what - I think no 2 is coming...missing AF for almost 2 weeks and I just returned to work :(

well toby has offically crawled forwards and more than once lol, its in between army and normal crawling he hasnt decided which one yet hehe.
i cant believe it! my little bub is turning one on sat! im so excited i only have one more pressy to buy, and a couple of party items then its sorted, a very busy day saturday over 40 people invited lol, i couldnt stop! he's starting to not just say mum and dad he's mummy, and daddy the words now! still has to blow raspberries like no tomorrow thou, and still throwing himself about but he can sit for like an hour some days without doing it, i didnt know kids can be so lazy! i hope you all are excited and wish your littles ones a very happy 1st birthday! xxx

DD is 1 tomorrow - where has it gone???? She is walking/running around the house terrorising our poor cat. She still falls on her bum when she gets too carried away which is cute.

She LOVES books as well - she walks while holding a book open in her hands and loves turning the pages and babbling away. 9 times out of 10 the book will be upside down and back the front but it's very cute and funny :lol:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all the bubs who have turned one recently :birthday2:

It's hard to believe that Noah will be one on Wednesday :D and that Daddy will miss his first birthday :(. Noah is going really well. Had a shocking run of sickness which is apparently due to him being in daycare! Fun times. Apart from that, he's standing on his own but hasn't moved forward yet. I'm thinking it will be in the next week or so. Hopefully before Daddy comes home so we'll have something exciting to show him when he gets back :D He is still only 11kgs, poor kid gains weight and then looses it when he gets sick, but he's a big eater and just will not stay still!

Better get back to work :D Happy birthday to all still to have birthdays. Hope you have fantastic days :D

happy birthday to all the babies! tobias had a wonderful birthday party went very smoothly (phew!) was spoilt too! and for tobias's birthday i got a BFP! hoping this little bugger sticks!
tobias had 1 year old needles a day before his birthday, and was checked over he's completely normal!he's just starting to crawl forwards, its just he wont touch anything with lumps (wont even try it!) and some kids dont walk til 2! well i hope he does soon lol. he's a big boy for is age too last time he was weighed he was 11kg should be the same or more lol. doc said well fed and reflux has its days sometimes no spew other days its back, so should disappear on its own!

a couple of friends will be helping me prepping Grace's b-day, which is good. We plan to have it on the first weekend of July as 30th June is a Wednesday :( Bought pressies, cake ordered, and will be shopping for lollies for the kids this weekend. I can't wait!

Grace is busy clapping hands and asking people to hi-5 and standing all the time but still hesitate to make her first step. It's soon, I can tell...

thanks everyone! im starting to feel more excited, except the twinges i know their normal but race off to the loo and check, after the last m/c which happened after an internal u/s i am being very cautious. but so far things are going great, and not complaining about symptoms cause i just feel real lucky to have this jelly bean!
baby 09- i love the thought of having an extra sibling for the boys, my boys play really well even though they do have their teeny fights over a book or a car lol, its defently worth it thou seeing them sitting together and when DS 1 gives him a kiss! so cute!

tobias is starting to crawl more but rolls alot too cause its faster lmao! he's a lazy bum my SIL said her boy didnt do much cause he was a big boy aswell, their just got to learn to shift their weight around better, toby not chubby but long as! he fitting in size 2's might be a tad big but 1's are small on him

Well DH & I had a chat and we are going to try for a July baby! DH was keen to start TTC straight away but we fell pg very easily with DD and as Im due to ovulate in the next week the thought of being pg again so soon freaked me out a bit!! I'm not sure how I will go with another baby but I will cope somehow!

hope everyone's well and the littlies are happy and growing!

grace was down with another cold spell on her birthday week, so we've had to postpone her birthday party. not the perfect way to spend the first birthday, but luckily we still have pictures of her with the cake at the day care :)

just found out i have a m/c :( my beta hcg dropped, the baby stopped developing and there's no heartbeat. i kind of had a feeling that something is not right because i just don't feel any pg symptoms, but still it hit reeeealy hard to actually find out. still have teary eyes when thinking about it. never thought it would be this hard.

sorry this is not the best post - on the brighter note, grace is cruising and teething her 7th tooth! she's happy and whingy at the same time - weird combination :) her appetite is not fully recovered but she finds avocado and crackers are yummy - that's about all she wants to eat now :D

Wow, Grace has 7 teeth? Sophie would be so jealous lol. She's only got 4, but I think there's a 5th one getting ready to happen.

We had our 12m needles on Tuesday, and I was surprised how well they went. There was a girl (about 4?) in the waiting room crying herself hoarse after just having hers done, and Sophie was wandering around and went near her and kind of laughed! Such a lovely mannered child at times :redface:

Grace is doing well with her teeth - DD has been on 6 for quite awhile. I think her eye teeth are coming through though - I can see lumps and little bits of white. She's also been VERY whingy - poor thing, wish I could take the pain for her!

Els - Sophie sounds like a character! DD is very much a stare bear, most of the time the people she is staring at will smile at her but Im waiting for the day when someone says something to me!

AFM: Up early this morning, DD went to sleep at around 6 last night (she is only having one nap during the day now, if she has 2 it throws her out at night and takes over 2hrs to get her to sleep!) and woke up at 4.30!! I tried to settle her with a bottle and cuddles but she wants to play so I thought I would be nice and let DH sleep - doubt that he will let me have a sleep in on the weekend though! Oh well, early night tonight for me!

well im here to brag! tobias is offically normal crawling yay! and he's starting to get some speed lol, he usually take one step at a time but when you wave a bottle at him zoom striaght over lol, still not taking to lumps BUT ate a milky top fredo WTF, still wont eat a lump, but bite and eat a fredo lmao he's just suprised me alot today! maybe he has my sweet cravings, 7 weeks pregnant tomorrow on friday had a scan bub measures alot smaller than the boys did only 5.2mm (boys were 7.2 and 8mm!) heart rate only started up at the most two days so it was 114bpm which is great considering its only been beating for a couple of dys at the most! and hcg levels nice and high so this pregnancy is all systems go!

another tobias proud moment he's sitting himself up now! he's caught up with everything but eating! he even pulling himself on his knees but cant get on his feet to walk, so he's knee walking with furniture. so proud he is doing everything he supposed to!

How are our toddlers going? Time is flying here - can't believe it's been a month since I last posted in this thread :redface:

Ashie - how is Tobias going? And how is your pregnancy? We are going to start TTC#2 in October - I can't wait!!

How is everyone else going? DD is picking up quite a few words now and has really started to be independent - which she is finding frustrating (such as trying to put her own shoes on and not letting me help although she can't work it out yet!). Is this what the Terrible Twos are like?

baby09- yay for TTC! lots of fun making babies lol. this pregnancy going real well, im 13 weeks today! its going so fast, tobias has had the flu, but otherwise happy all the time, it amazes me that he's so happy when he's sick lol. he's crawling everywhere and has to do it really fast! now kneeling alot when he pulls himself up and shuffles on his knees, still not eating lumps lol, but eating very thick foods which is a step forward he's has also picked up acouple of new words no and yeah! he tries to say yay but comes out eeeeeee! still only two teeth but the top two are almost here! oh i have never met a bub that teeths so slowly, and his top teeth look like they may be big teeth lol.

Tristan is now 14 months and 8.74kg he's 76cms long and is walking, almost running, everywhere. He's a little climber and into everything. He's been on ventolin ect lately due to some breathing issues caused from a bout of bronchiolitis. Still not really babbling, but not too concerned :)

I'm ok, got my tubes clamped on Tuesday, so feeling rather sore and sorry for myself atm.

I'll try to remember and pop back in :) I've kept my blog updated... Parenting Premmies

Hi ladies. It's been a while since I was in here

Noah is going really well, walking, talking and has 14 teeth with another 2 trying to push through.

We r going well. Ttc number 2 and hoping to fall pregnant before the end on the year. We r also moving in 2011 so we're counting down to that. Dh has been away alot in the last few months and will be leaving again in 4 weeks.

Anyway, hope all the babies continue to grow well

We are moving house end of this year, but only just up the road (about 500 metres) on the same farm, but better house :D

DD is still stuck on 6 teeth - she has 4 which are pushing their way through but very very slowly!

well toby has finally cut more teeth, he cut his 3rd tooth his front top tooth and the other top one is cutting through now, also he took another leap forward and stood for the first time! i was sitting on the wood flooring calling him and raced over (he can crawl fast!) and held onto me and stood up on his feet he was not standing straight up he was like a U but could hold himself like that he did try standing straight up but slipped. just very proud another thing to rub in with the people saying he theirs something wrong lol. he is also starting to talk more! he can say no and yeah, i heard him say wot wots (one of his and his brothers fav show lol) also making new squeaks, he hears them from his toys and mimics the noise. still not eating lumps he is loving puree's but i have tried him and ended up with choking and scareing himself so decided to just take it slowly with him i dont want to scare him with food i want him to enjoy it IYKWIM, but hey i think he is doing great and he's such a happy kid, all of us in our family cant believe how happy he is always smiling only crieds when he done poopies and when he's sick or teething, and he loves everyone never shy to put on a preformance to show off.

Way to go Toby! And congrats on another boy Ashie! How is your pregnancy going?

How are all our bubbas/toddlers going? DD is doing well, she is saying quite a few words now and is up to 10 teeth - 4 down the bottom and 6 up the top :) She's also started running and jumping onto the couch - very funny, she cracks herself up when she face plants the couch :D

AFM just waiting for AF to arrive (due next week TMI) then we are going to start TTC again!

Ashie, WTG Toby!!

Tristan is plodding along, he's now 9420gm and 78cms at 15m. He's walking so fast now and climbing everything and into everything, he's worked out how to open the kiddies gate and the safety latches on the cupboards!!! He's not really babbling yet but he does say "o-oh" which is really cute. We saw the podiatrist about his bow legs and inward toeing and at hi stage we are only monitoring it and his legs should get better. However he most likely will always have inward pointing feet, which isn't really a bad thing :)
Both the boys have had a range of blood tests and stool samples taken to see why they have chronic diarrhoea and weight gain issues. Get the results on Monday.

I had my tubes tied a month ago, so no more kiddos for us. Two is definitely enough!!

haven't been here for a while and suddenly babies are walking and running! grace would be so jealous as at almost 16 months she's yet to take her first step. she'd stand up without holding on to anything for a few seconds but then squating and giggling. she likes walking around holding my index fingers but will crawl if I let go. i wonder if i have to get her checked:think:

other than that, she's cutting her 8th teeth, weighing 10kgs and is only 75cm long - a tiny little one :) she enjoys childcare and eats almost anything. she talks a lot and starts saying no and stamps her foot! where did they learn to do that??

Rachel, Grace is doing well :D I would say that with her progressing in other areas, she is doing just fine. But in saying that it doesn't hurt to get them checked out for peace of mind :) In my opinion I would give her until 18m and then see how she's going. 18m is still considered within normal limits for walking ;)

Tristan is doing well, he's making a bit more noise now, still not really babbling though. He lost a bit of weight with being sick lately, but he's all good now :)

How is everyone? How are all the gorgeous babies? Can't believe they are 18 months already!

Tristan is now 9.9kg, he has 12 teeth with another 2 on their way and he is now saying 4 words! He says 'bye' 'u-oh' 'wawer' (water) 'narna' (banana) it's so cute! He has also only just started to babble all the time too. Lots off dadadad. He's on ventolin for his breathing and will go on a preventer for next winter. He's also on a dairy-free diet which has helped out his eczema and bowels SO much! He hasn't woken during the night screaming since we started it :D Tristan will have his hearing check early next year, just to make sure he's not following in Brendan's footsteps there.

sally- glad to hear your little boy is doing so well hun! it has gone quick though they growing up too fast!

tobias is walking! only started a month ago but god he only was standing and trying to take steps for a week or so then he was off! took my niece months to take steps to walking so he suprised us. he babbles all day he can say ABC, 123, hi, bye, WOW, nana (banana), brother (for his older brother), he calls himself obie lol, and list goes on. hes still not eating normal food (just like ds1 was) but is eating some lumps, wont eat lumpy jar food but home cooking he will, he started plowing into rusk sticks constantly, and eat biscuits and chocolate like milky ways and fredos, he was eat my spag bol the other night though off my plate so i suppose he can eat he just chooses not to lol. taking it slowly his weight and height are brilliant hes 12kgs (been 12kg for awhile but he's started walking so he must be loosing some weight), and he's almost as tall as his big brother, he's tall but my build which makes clothes hard he's 2 tops but bottoms he is too big for 1's but 2's fall down sometimes lol.
im expecting another little boy on feb 21st (c section date), he looks like both his brothers, and oh what a pregnancy its been! i was told at 19 weeks he was average or less in size, got him checked the other week he's smack bang on dates, and i had a 3d/4d scan sunday and he's so chubby so i think hes going to be like DS1, a little chunky boy! i hope everyone is doing well, and wishing you all a merry christmas, so excited to see my boys faces chrissy morning. we spoilt them :D

Don't get me started on clothes... Brendan starts Kindy next year and the lowest size they do for uniforms is a FOUR, Brendan needs a size 0-1 for shorts and a 3 for tops :lol: Tristan is not quite so bad in difference, he needs a 00 for bottoms and 0 tops. Big heads :lol:
