Good luck with TTC JM. Hope its smooth sailing for you. You picked an awesome time to be in Melbourne, NOT!!!!! So cold. I went out on Saturday and Monday and been home ever since. Too cold. Hope you have a nice visit.
DD is slowly gaining her confidence with walking. She is walking while hanging on really strongly, no wobbling at all now. She walked up to me the other day, twice, without holding on to anything, laughing her head off both times. About 4 steps each shot. I'm sure I'll be doing something and look up and she'll be walking past me. She's started to sing too, so cute. We can't make anything out, but whenever a familiar song comes on, she makes these la la noises in a singy way. Just beautiful. I'm loving this age.
Correlly - She's off!! Great news about the walking. I love this age too. You'll need eyes in the bacak of your head now eh!
Aussie - great to hear from you again. Update your ticker for us. Good to hear that Susie is doing well.
JM - TTC eh. Well I wish you all the best with that. And what possessed you to come to Melbourne now - it is toooooooo cold for words. Are you feeling better. I saw on another post that you came down with Malaria too! That must have been terrible : (
Hey T is bf again at the moment since she has been sick and she has re envigorated my supply a bit. Isnt the body amazing! It is kinda nice but I worry about it being hard to wean again as she is so with it now.
Kell - hope all is going well and you are getting positive signs.
I'm home coz T is sick and we are going to the docs today.
Love to you all x
hehe Corelly, I was thinking how much warmer this winter has been! we moved to Melbourne from Ballarat in march so to us, this IS a warm winter hehe! I've been out walking more than I ever used to back in Ballarat during the winter! Awesome re the walking too! its so fun watching them get around! Susie is full on running around now and SP is right, u turn ur head for two seconds and they are gone! am always looking for her around the house hehe
SP - have updated the ticker! our lil girl is a real blondie with bright blue eyes - not at all like her father or me! and has the cutest cheekiest grin! I still can't get over how many people she charms whenever we go out, even young guys have a smile for her! gonna have to watch that ;) she's not at all scared of strangers either, will go to almost anyone for a cuddle!!
hope the doc says all is ok with poor lil T and she feels better soon! certainly is amazing how the body just jumps straight back into it!
JM - all the best with the TTC, we're definitely ready for another so we've stopped TTA and see how it goes, although I have to say I wouldnt mind if it takes a couple of months this time cause I wouldn't mind if we didn't have a May Baby (we have HEAPS already in the family lol)! nice you been to Melbourne but yes must have been a shock lol! we actually went to the Snow up at Lake Mountain on Saturday and it snowed whilst we were there :)
having a lovely day after our awful night (up every 3 hours like a newborn lol...assuming cause of teeth, no idea why otherwise lol)
Double post
MrsC_Aussie - We were at Lake Mountain a few weeks back, so beautiful there at the moment. You must've had a super cold winter in Ballarat last year. I was saying to DH the other day, this time last year I wasn't able to get out in the car with DD as her legs were in plaster and we couldn't get her into the carseat properly, so we walked every single day and the cold didn't faze me. But this year...forget it!!! I feel like a big lump at the moment, but every time I go outside I just can't get past the porch!!!
SP - Eyes in the back of my head, for sure. I'm so looking forward to her walking around. I feel like it will be a whole different world once she is off those knees, if that makes any sense.
DH's business has finally taken off  His phone hasn't stopped ringing for the last couple of days and he's booked out for the next three weeks. We had a pretty scary couple of weeks, but everyone told us to hang in there because it always goes quiet tax time. Lucky it has taken off - our garage door collapsed onto my car and the excesses for both come to $1600 :o
Far out Corelly. :o That seems like excessive excess! Fantastic news about the business taking off. Everything happens for a reason hey? S sings old mcDonald had a farm. Well all she gets is the eieio bit, cracks me up every time.
Super P- Is T alright tonight? DH and i had a week in Noosa with friends last week and he went back to work, figured while i was in the country i should visit my family.
MrsAC- What's TTA??? (trying to avoid???) Oh yeah The Rat is definitely colder. I did a winter or two in Ballan, love the ticker pic, Susie is adorable. :)
JM - that would be extremely cute - eieio! T is on antibiotics now and is very tired. She slept from 5.30pm last night right thru to 6am. I'm not complaining but I checked on her every hour or so all night coz of the penicillin (she never had it so watching for reaction) so very little sleep for me. What us mothers do honestly. Anxiety overtakes sometimes. DH never gets up to check out of anxiety. Anyone else do this? I've done weird checks all night since she was born I wreckon on and off.
Mrs AC - Very cute pic - thanks! I would love to see more bubs photos from the group. It makes communication more real for me. Ballarat is much colder than Melbourne - yes! In land towns tend to be generally. I remember Deni being very cold when visiting relatives. And dont even mention how cold Canberra is! Must be all the frosty pollies up there. Anyway this has been a shocker of a cold Melbourne winter.
Correlly - So glad your DH has plenty of work. A relief I'm sure.
Cheshire - Do you know why I cant get emoticons? I used to have them.
Re TTC. DH and I are undecided whether to try again now. We are under enormous financial pressure now the interest rates and bills have gone up so much. Anyone else shopping at ALDI as well as Woolies? And we have 2 older boys to house and feed for now. So much and how as we would love another baby we may have to wait. I do wish you who are trying all the best and hope you all have lots of fun at it too! I'd like to join you really. : )
well had a scan today im only five weeks and 3 days baby is due 29th april im so excited after seeing our baby even though it was just a yolk sac. im soooo in love already :D
be back later to catch up with everyone else
:happyforyou:
Yay! Sending you lots of sticky vibes Kell!
:cheer: congratulations!
SP- i do random checks ALL the time. It's one of those mother things you are right! Is she better now?
thanks girls still early days but all looks good so far. got another blood test on wed so hopefully a nice rise and another scan in a few weeks. I ovulated so late in my cycle its amazing this baby is even here must be meant to be!
Congratulations kellbell. Hope everything goes smoothly with your pregnancy, so happy for you!
Not much has changed here. Still breastfeeding, still waking umpteen times a night, still absolutely adorable. Imogen has just in the last week started to favour walking, hasn't been crawling at all any more. It used to be so exciting when she walked and now it is more of an event when she crawls! I really am loving this age so, so much. When we go for walks (and she actually walks beside me now!), everything is amazing to her... she picks up leaves, feels the bark, kicks a stone. Toddlers are just beautiful to watch and they make everything else seem so wonderful. I really wasn't into the baby stage, it felt a bit like a job (and I guess having PND doesn't help clear that haze) but now I have this little person and I am really in love! The last couple of years were so hard, I never expected to be a parent (let alone on my own at 22) but I feel like I have come so far and I'm finally enjoying it. Just had to share :)
Jellyfish - what you described just gave me goosebumps. I can't wait to do all of that with DD. I'm so desperate for her to walk confidentely, so we can go and explore. I feel like a whole new world will open up for her. Your words were just beautiful and glad you're enjoying this time together.
hi all!
well I had writen something last week but I haven't a clue what...except to say:
CONGRATULATIONS Kelly!!
and
Congratulations on the walking Corelly!!!
Things are going well here, the Allergy elimination seems to be working for Susie, she's eating things with egg, wheat, dairy and artificial preservatives/coloring now with no apparent problems!!
I had a lovely surprise yesterday when a box of flowers was delivered to my door! 'Just for you, just because. Love Brett' read the card! nawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
I suppose I should go do something productive!! talk to you all soon :D
Aww MrsC, the flower delivery! Just gorgeous!! Lucky you :) And fantastic that the allergy elimination is working. If she can eat all of those things, I imagine it makes life a lot easier.
Hi to everyone!
DD is walking everywhere now and with confidence. She worked out yesterday how to stand without hanging on to anything. We took a walk around our grassy park yesterday, she thought it was the best thing ever, kept planting her feet on the ground and saying "stomp, stomp". She's blurted out a couple of new words this week, yoghurt, mouth, milk. She even used milk in a sentence. Asked for her bottle of milk. Growing up too quickly. Been going through all our photos and video of her, wow, wish someone had warned me about it making me slightly clucky!! She was just so little!!
Hope you're all well and all your toddlers are getting up to humorous mischief!
Hello everybody, been awhile since Ive posted in here.
Maddi had her party on Sat & had a wonderful time, still can't believe she'll be 3 this Sat.
Kodi is doing great, she is such a happy toddler & she loves Maddi. Those two often go do their own together & Maddi will sit there reading books & pointing out the animals to Kodi. I love those moments.
Hope everyone is well.
the party sounds like it was great Mo - what have you got her for her birthday?
